So what can I say about this place.. I read most there reviews before writing my own and I have to say I was disappointed. I have only great things to say about the front desk and its doctors and P.A.'s, and phlebotomist. My experience at High Mountain Health on Parish Dr. has been very pleasant. The only reason I give it 4 stars is cause you do have to wait to be seen but come on people, what doctors office on this planet do you NOT HAVE a wait. But let me just say these doctors and P.A.s spend time with you. They play close attention to your condition and make sure to follow up, either they follow up or have their M.A. call to follow up with you. If for any reason they can't accommodate you they do refer you to their office on Hamburg Turnpike which does provide great service as well. I love this place and DO NOT PLAN on switching doctors. I can understand this office has changed staff members and doctors at some point through out the years, so understandably NOT everyone will be thrilled with their visit or have had a positive experience in the past but if you have nothing NICE to say then keep it moving people. Thank You to everyone at High Mountain on Parish Drive for always making it so pleasant for me to visit. read more

I have been a patient at HMH for 10 years. I have a medical issue that makes it necessary to come into the office once a month. This has never been an issue. I have insurance. The new woman that is not a doctor at HMH called me personally to demand payment and the threatened to not fufuill my monthly medications. My insurance company just compensated (out of the blue) because High Mountain Health is over billing patients. The new owner of HMH should not be calling patients asking for payments - the owner should have no insight into my medical history or be calling patients to harass them for payment. This is unacceptable actually it's illegal read more

Smadar is a very knowledgeable doctor who took the time to explain things to me that can be very useful in my health journey. I truly appreciate a doctor who takes time to listen to you and formulate a game plan moving forward. I highly recommend both Smadar and High Mountain. read more

My father in his 70s went to the Hamburg Tpke office and after almost 2 hours, was diagnosed with the flu and possible pneumonia. They were dismissive and unprofessional, and sent him home with NOTHING. He voiced his concerns about not receiving any medication, and again, they were dismissive and rude, and no medicine was given. He went to CITYMD, where they were surprised to learn that he was given nothing, and immediately gave him 3 medicines which have helped TREMENDOUSLY. I would definitely recommend going here if you want to waste money, possibly get sicker, while being treated by a bunch of disgusting human beings who CLEARLY do not have time to do their job. I will be updating this review when I learn the names of the doctor that he saw, as well as the names of anyone else he came into contact with at this disgusting excuse for a medical facility. This place should get ZERO stars. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH! read more

I agree with you Matt, the Parrish Drive office most of the staff are rude, unfriendly, and sadly disrespectful to their patients. I found the office scary. No regard for common courtesy. Poorly trained to deal with public. They expect the patient to tolerate disrespectful behavior with no recourse to complain; staff can mock the patient, insult the patient and yet upper Administration will put the blame on the patient. it's a disgrace that this behavior is allowed. I call for a well visit to check on some levels for my son, wait 1.5 hours for the dr and no one even cares, comes in nothing. To only say she'll refer him out. I call the next place to make appointment they say they need an X-ray and past charts. I call them they say 24 hours. After 6 days with me calling daily i have yet to get this script. It's absolutely insane and unprofessional- if i had more choices in my insurance I'd move but i don't. I really cannot stand this place and their way they run things. read more

Always a nightmare with this office. Aside from the always rude desk staff, it is by far the most disorganized, uncaring group of people I have ever dealt with. It's gotten progressively worse too. I see Dr Kleinstein, who has been helpful in the past, but is currently either overwhelmed, or got greedy. The past 3 appointments I've had, I've waited 2-3 hours PAST my appointment time to be seen. The front desk said that they schedule multiple appointments at a time, as that's what the doctor instructed them to do. How can a doctor help multiple people in different rooms at the same time? My current issue, is getting important medication refilled. Between myself, my pharmacy, and my insurance company, we have now asked the prescription to be called in 12 times over the course of a month, and guess what? The pharmacy has still not received that prescription from the doctor. The receptionist told me they have never gotten a call from my pharmacy about it, yet, I was there with the pharmacist as they called the office on speaker phone and spoke to the same person I did not even 30 minutes prior. When I call them out on it, they basically say "too bad". Avoid this practice at all costs. They no longer care about their patients. It's all about the $$$ to them. This office deserves ZERO stars. HOW this office stays in business is a small miracle. I can only guess insurance may give a majority of their patients no other choice. Minimum 90 minute wait time for simple things, like a shot. Forget an actually appointment for a medication! Expect at least 2 hours, IF the doctor even shows up. So unorganized. The some staffs especially the front desks were rude and unhelpful. An easy appointment or prescription needed takes several calls to the office and with the doctors. The different offices don't even communicate with one another for patient treatment and planning, so when they send you to the one in Hamburg you need to explain again, vice versa. read more

Today I had an appointment for 330 for a Pap. I called at 3:09 to make sure the doctor was running on time as I had another appointment that I had to be at for 430. The woman I spoke with put me on hold and when she came back told me the doctor was running on time. I get to my appointment and About 15 minutes later someone comes and tells me that the doctor is running an hour behind and they know that I have another appointment to get to. I was annoyed and asked why didn't you tell me this when I called and some other girl chimes in with an attitude and says you spoke with me and when I looked on the computer all of her telemedicine appointments were green so I thought that she was done with those and running on time. When a patient calls and asks if a doctor is running on time they're not asking you to look at a fucking computer screen they're asking you to get up off your ass and stop being lazy and speak to the doctor. It seems like nobody wants to work these days and even the people that are employed can't even be bothered to do the bare minimum. There's literally only one good doctor at this place and it is not worth it to have to deal with the reception staff so I left and I'll go elsewhere. it's not like we have a shortage of doctors. Very surprised to see all the low reviews. I have been going here for several months now. My doctor is very busy but that's got to be because she is wonderful! She takes time to listen and talk, she seems like she actually cares instead of just rushing off to the next patient. She can be difficult to get an appointment with if something comes up but I have used their other office on Hamburg Tnpk that offers urgent care and got just as good service from one of their nurse practitioners. This office is a bit dated but the staff and doctors really made my visits great. The other office is much newer. read more

I used to go to my doctor in Clifton, NJ, Angela Health Care and now High Mountain decided to take it over. At my last visit under the new management this is what happened. I went in for a regular yearly physical. While there I waited much longer that I used to wait. After finally getting into the room, the doctor did her regular check and just asked if everything was OK, which I casually said that I just had a regular cough recently and I also told her about taking meds for Cholesterol. A week ago I received a bill from both High Mountain and Lab Corp because the doctor coded my visit as Upper Respiratory Infection and Hypolipedemia rather than just a yearly physical! Now I have this bill than I have to pay because they are coding my visit wrongly and just for casually having a conversation and mentioning that I had a cough. I never asked for any treatment or diagnostics of those things. read more

I agree with the previous review of this horrible establishment. They are so unprofessional that it is astounding. I have been waiting over a week for test results that were faxed over to the them the day after I had the test. Called repeatedly and left messages for doctor and have yet to hear back. The front desk staff does not have a clue what they are doing and they are rude. And of course it is never anybody's fault that they are so disorganized. And forget about making an appointment, you end up waiting over an hour and get to see the doctor for a total of 7 minutes so God forbid you don't ask him or her any and all questions, you will have to wait another hour to get a simple medication question answered by the doctor. When I go here for my appointments, I feel more like cattle than a patient. I am currently looking for another primary care physician and one of my friends who also goes there has decided to find another doctor as well due to the lack of professionalism. Maybe if enough people stop going, they may have to take a look at the way they are running their business. read more

When it comes to your health, everything matters. This place is absolutely unprofessional and I have encountered some of the laziest and rudest front desk/phone people ever. There is no excuse and I suggest you take your business elsewhere. Was called to desk for paperwork (they said it would be waiting for pickup but it was done while I was there) and when I got there the girl did not take her eyes off the screen while she sat and hummed and sang to herself without acknowledging me. Is "I'll be with you in a minute" so hard? Then she acted all tired and bent out of shape. I called for a referral and another disgruntled employee told me to call the specialists office for the code. Um, it's in your system. This is just a weird power trip and again, who needs this? Technology has made things easier- it's not in its infancy where it's so hard to get things done. Look it up and get it done. You're not doing me a favor. You should be ousted from the insurance if that's how you deal with this. You get no visit summary when you check out. I"ve never seen that anywhere. No diagnosis, medications, notes-- nothing. Are you supposed to take your own notes when you go to other doctors?? Called 4 times over a week and a half for my tests results- finally got a call back and the girl rushed through, seemed annoyed I asked her to repeat herself (she had an accent and was talking fast) and in the end I have a vague idea what the results were. Their lab was paid over $500 for these tests- am I not entitled to the results? It's so bad it is almost unbelievable. There are obviously no standards for patient service. The front desk here is for the most part unfriendly, wait times are ridiculous even with an appointment, and they will reschedule at the last minute. I had to wait over an hour to see a doctor. The staff are unprofessional and uncaring. They act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your money and accepting your insurance. They become very defensive if you advocate for yourself. If your insurance does not cover something they act aggressively trying to collect. They couldn't bother to get my name right even though it was right in front of them. The woman in billing insulted me. read more

The parish drive location is by far the most unfriendly, terrible place I have ever been to for medical care. I went in with a simple question and much to my shock I was asked why I was there. I was questioned because I go to both locations in Wayne and the lady behind the desk pretty much ignored me, sat down and stopped answering my questions. It was actually kind of embarrassing being treated that way in front of the people in the waiting room. So unprofessional and I can't believe how miserable that lady was behind the desk (this was this past Thursday around 1:30pm). Just created an unfriendly environment and I can only imagine if she's the same one people are talking about in other reviews she either has to be related to someone who works there or there's a lack of professionals in the area who do what she does or some other string is being pulled because I don't think anyone who deals with the public the way she dealt with me would ever have a job with that attitude and disrespect. So, I drove across town to the other location and low and behold I'm out of there in under 5 minutes and all my questions were answered (it was about referrals I needed). The woman at the front desk on Hamburg tpk was sweet as can be and thorough. I will never step foot at the parish drive location unless by some miracle I see an "under new management" sign across their door. What a poor excuse for any kind of health care. I'd be treated better walking into an overworked emergency room than that place. read more

As a general practice expect long waits and over booked appointments. In cases of emergency don't count on these Drs at all. My husband and I recently moved an hour away and have not yet had a chance to find a new practice so when emergency surgery arose for my husband we chose to drive back and forth and let these guys provide provide pre-op authorization since they have been his primary for years and it takes months to get an appointment as a new patient with local internists. Long story short they prescribed a new medication for my husband prior to surgery and he has been experiencing reactions to that medicine ever since which is now the reason he remains in the hospital not for the surgery he needed! Our surgeon and I continue to call and leave messages and to no avail the Dr has yet to respond. Worth noting this is medication impacting his heart. Anyway stay away from this practice - plenty of other Drs that provide quality consistent care and don't over book and play the #s game for insurance. Your primary Dr should be the MOST present when it's an emergency and you are hospitalized! Still waiting for a return call...... read more

I have had no issues here ever. Love this place. From checking in to checking out the people there are friendly and helpful. It is a busy practice but probably because in my opinion, it is the best in the area. The doctors and PA'S know their stuff and when you need them you can actually speak to them if need be. I wanted to share what a wonderful experience I had with High Mountain Health Waldwick office! I was driving home from work and I was just getting over a UTI and had been treated elsewhere had very bad pelvic pain and pressure. Stopped in this office was seen right away by Melissa the PA she was confident kind and very helpful diagnosing my problem. She gave me new medication and did a few tests and even gave me follow up care! I will be switching them to my primary Doctors! read more

I have been going here for 10 years. I continue only because I like Dr D. You always have to wait, and when you get in the exam room? You wait another 45 minutes to an hour. With that said, the office personnel are not friendly. "Do you want a receipt?" Just write one with a SMILE. They act like patients are bothering them when in fact my going there is paying their salary. You are left on hold, not called back etc. I witnessed a woman come in at 8am for Dr D. The woman was an attorney. She schedules an appointment months in advance for the earliest time of the morning for convenience. Well....Dr. D was on vacation. They didn't call her to cancel. The woman at the window was curt, didn't care and said oh well, you'll have to reschedule. At my office, a different person would immediately step up and help her. They didn't try to fit her in etc. It was really lousy. If I were the office manager, the woman at the window would be on the unemployment line. This is a reflection on the doctors leadership there. I have also stood at the two way mirror, which you can see through, being completely ignored by all for 10 minutes. When they open the window, they should try and be pleasant and not miserable. read more

I usually go to the Hamburg location to see Dr. Rasa, but Parish is more convenient to pickup my blood work results. After standing at the counter for 10 minutes, watching women watching me through a one-way mirror, a nurse came from another room and asked if she could help me. I thanked her for being the one to finally helpi me. She must have had a guilty conscience because she got nasty and then confrontational. I just wanted to pick up a piece of paper, not get aggravated. The next time I see Dr. Rasa, I will bring his staff's uncaring and unprofessional attitude to his attention. read more

I could not agree more with Amanda F .... in fact, I would give HIGH Mountain Health ZERO stars if it was an option! I had been seeking a new primary care physician, and had also received indicative test results from a blood test that I needed to explore further for a diagnosis. After a lengthy process of reviewing area doctors in my health insurance network, I decided on High Mountain Health for their seeming versatility and primarily due to the high marks for patient care received by Dr. Peter Carrazzone. Unfortunately, Dr. Carrazzone was not available on the date I was looking for an appointment so I agreed to make an appointment with doctor in the practice (.... thinking the standard of care would be the same across the practice -- not the case). I arrived at the office and checked 15 minutes prior to my 6 pm appointment to complete any paperwork. First, although there were only 2 other patients in the waiting room I was not acknowledged until after 6 pm (when I had to listen to the woman at the front desk telling me how tired she was and how she never sees her husband), and then did not get called into the treatment room until 6:55. When, at 6:40 I asked the girls at the desk when they thought the doctor would be available, their snippy reply was that the doctor takes his time with his patients (that proved not to be accurate). Finally, I was called back, and had my weight, height, symptoms, etc taken down by an aide - who was very nice - but seemed to be just checking off symptoms via a computer program without probing further. Ok - not a problem, I assumed the doctor would probe further when I met with her. 10 -15 minutes after the aide had completed her portion of the visit, the doctor finally came in for my exam - which could not have lasted more than 10 mins (so much for the doctor taking time with patients ... and this was my first visit!!), and for 1/2 of that time, the doctor lectured me that if I ever wanted to get pregnant I would have to do it now because my window had just about closed (as if at 38 years old that wasn't apparent)! Pregnancy, or the hope to get pregnant, had NOTHING to do with the purpose of my visit. In fact, the condition I was concerned about was something that should be addressed before getting pregnant .... I had to point this out to the doctor. The doctor asked me nothing about my symptoms, did brief physical exam and ordered blood work and an untrasound and then told me to call her the middle of the following week so that she could be reminded to look at my tests. When I contacted the office the Wednesday of the following week I was told by the front desk person that all my results had been received and that a "nurse" would call me. By Friday, I had not heard back and when I contacted the office was told this time, that only my bloodwork had come in and the ultrasound was still outstanding (had I been given accurate info, I would have followed up earlier in the week with the imaging lab). On Saturday, the office confirmed they had all results and would request that the doctor review them and that a "nurse" would call me. Finally, the following Monday, a nurse called me to say that my ultrasound was normal, but that they were still waiting on final bloodwork - as they had only received "preliminary lab results" (again contrary to what I was told previously!). I contacted the lab, was told they had sent over final results (they don't do preliminary reports), when I called the doctor's office again, the person on the phone agreed they had final results and said - "I don't know what the doctor was looking at." Again, a nurse called me back to report normal blood work. I tried to ask questions regarding the various tests that were run, with not forthcoming information from the nurse. Seemingly - my medical concerns were a closed issue based on these tests and I was never able to get the doctor on the phone to discuss the results or next steps to a diagnosis. Also, I had to practically beg to have my lab/test results sent to me as they were not updated on the patient website as promised (I had to contact them multiple time with respect to this as well). Now, 7 weeks later, after seeing another doctor for a second opinion - and based on the same exact ultrasound and bloodwork High Mountain Health received but had said were normal -- I have been diagnosed with and am being treated for the exact condition I originally went in to see Dr. Saros about diagnosing. I am shocked at this lack of patient care and concern and the fact that no effort was made to form a diagnosis .... symptoms don't disappear even if tests come back "normal," which in this case they were not. Even to my untrained eye, I could pull out several readings that were indicative of the condition I was ultimately diagnosed with. read more

I have been going to High Mountain Health for 5 years now and wouldn't change doctors! Yes, you might have to wait a while to see the DR, however, when it's your turn, you get the same exact care as others do. The Dr spends quality time with me and I feel that the care is the most thorough. I recommend several friends to this practice and they are all just as happy! read more

The doctor was fine. The problem is the front desk and the follow up. Front desk not friendly at all. After tests I was told I would receive a phone call within a week. After a week and half I called. I was berated for calling! Really? I waited 3 days past when I was told I would get a call. Another test and another wait, 3 weeks and nothing. It's a shame I'll have to find another doctor because of the staff incompetence. read more

High Mountain Health Parish Drive Wayne- avoid at all cost. I have been going to this office for 2.5 years, after I went the first time I called and informed the office that information in my patient portal was incorrect- information is STILL incorrect. Since I don't go to the doctor often, I stayed at the office-until now. I have left 14 messages and still no return call. I am now trying to switch doctor's and High Mt. demands that you fill out release for records in person, during office hours- I make a special trip to fill out form, missing work to do so- a week later I receive a letter/bill stating there is a $35 charge for records- no one could inform me of that when I was standing in the office???? I called to state I felt charge was unfair since I am leaving the practice to due lack of service- the office mgr's attitude was oh well- send your money and in TWO weeks we will send your records. In 2.5 years I have gone to the office 4 times and they claim I have over 60 pages of records. Horrible!!!! read more

The doctors are usually pleasant, but I've had occasional doubts about their training. The office staff is sometimes obnoxious and dismissive. They had a terrific doctor there named Guariglia but he left the practice a few years back. We are looking for a new place for primary care. read more

If I could give ZERO rating to this facility, I would. Always a wait, and even when phoning their office, get put on hold for 10 minutes, no one ever picks up the phone again. The latest in the fiasco of all fiascoes, is I phoned and was supposed to have doctor call me back. Doctor never called. Front desk person, Anna? said give it 24 hours. OK, I waited 48 hours, I just called and now they are telling me something they could have told me on day 1, you have to come in and sign some paper. Are you kidding me? You couldn't tell me this the first day I phoned? The dr. couldn't have told me this when I was there during my appointment? She never told me I had to come back, just that I had to find out if insurance would cover the procedure. It will 100%. Well guess what? This is the last straw! And when I asked to speak with the dr. surprise, she's not in today and won't be the rest of the week!!!!!! I can't anymore with this place. Want to give it less than one star but that's not an option. Went to Dr. Orland for 30 years and feared the day he retired and with good reason. I asked from the very start if the doctor was running on time and was told yes (I was the 5th person signed in) I waited in the waiting room for 20 minutes which was not bad but waited in the room for an hour and a half. I was there to get blood work to check my Thyroid levels and that's all. I patiently waited then with 10 minutes to go before I had to leave I said to the nurse I have to leave in ten minutes to get home in time for my son's nurse to leave (he's disabled and has many medical issues) the nurse says you're next well but there was no way I was going to see the doctor and get blood work done in ten minutes. The nurse was not very understanding and I barely got an apology but he gave me a lab slip to get the blood done. They should let me know in a week what the results are and I will tell them to call in a refill for the next six months and I will see them in the summer when I have time to sit and wait for the damn doctor. I know if I were late for my appointment they'd bump me until it was convenient for them. I also gave them my copayment just to wait to get a prescription for lab work and not even see the doctor. Will definitely check out the Hamburg Turnpike office but if they turn out to be just as bad I'll have to inconvenience myself and find a whole new practice. read more

I Have been a patint of high mountain for about 10 years, and my whole family goes there as well. the doctors are great the staff in wonderful and i have never had a problem. any time i had an emergency with my son or a family member the staff took care of me and my family and so did the physicians. They have always gone above and beyond for us.Yes sometimes there is a wait, but thats because they take there time to take care of you instead of rushing you out the door. read more

How bout a big fat zero!!!!! Thats what I would give this rude, non caring, place that is supposed to be in the business of patient care. Ha Ha..... I"ve been a patient there for quite some time. Thankfully I don't get sick much but when I do I dread the fact of having to call and make an appoinmet. Which, I will not be doing again because Tues 11/5 was my last visit to that assembly line they call health care My appointment was scheduled for 11:15am. I arrived on time and was told to be seated by a girl who seemed to busy to look up. About 20 minutes later I was called up to give my copay. Again, to be told by the girl to have a seat and I would be callled soon. About 11:45 another getleman and woman walked in and registered. Now, at 12:00 ,(lunch time) a huge delivery of food arrives which is accompanied by what looked to me as a drug rep. Now I thinking to myself this is not going to be good. So as I patiently waited, the door finally opened after antother 10 minutes and the woman who arrived a half hour after me was taken in to be seen. So, I inquired about the wait time and was told they were getting the next room ready and I was next. At 12:25p.m., the door opens and the other who came in a half hour after me was called in. I finally got up and asked the young lady at the front desk for my copay back. Being sick for the last three days this was the last thing I wanted to do. She opened the window and told me they were calling me in as we speak did I want to wait. After 1 and a half hours of waiting that was the last thing I wanted to hear. Because, I know if I said yes, I would be put in an examination room only to WAIT longer. I said absolutely not!!!. I was given my copay back without even an explanation as to why I waited so long or saw two people taken ahead of me that arrived after me. Now for the punch line, I work in a manage a department in alocal hospital and if we ever delivered care in such a manner we would not be employed very long. I would imagine thats why these people work there. I can't fathom having our patients wait without giving them an explanation of why they are waiting. We give our patients a free lunch voucher if their wait time is longer than expected. I would suggest the big wigs that run that medical assembly line figure this out soon or soon there will be no wait times because they will have no clientele. It's a shame because when the facility first opened my family and I loved going there because of it's close proximity and small town feel. But now I guess like evrything else its becomes about numbers and money. More doctors, more money, the hell with patine care, In closing, I went to another facility that day, was seen and treated within 30 minutes. I would like to say thank you for making my decision to change health care practices an easy one. read more

I have been a patient in this group for over 15 years. I have nothing but the utmost praise for the location and the doctors. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a bit, but tell me where you don't have to wait. I have always received the finest care and compassion. My referrals are always ready to pick up. The billing office girls are very helpful, friendly and professional. I don't know what I would do without this place. I just do not understand the negative reviews. On a rare occasion, I had a problem with the front desk. I addressed it with the Doctor and it was taken care of. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for my primary care. read more
