Clean facility and pretty easy to work with. Went for a work physical and was simple to schedule. In and out with relative ease.

Warning! This facility is NOT an Urgent Care center, despite the fact that it is listed as such in online directories, insurance directories, and their very own website! I discovered this only after my daughter received treatment and was billed in full for doctor fees. Their billing department charges as regular Office Visit. If your medical plan requires a referral and you don't have one you will be billed for the visit. I even asked the front desk if a referral was needed and the man said no because the office was an emergency/urgent care center. I trusted him and the information listed online. Now I'm stuck with a bill and no one in the office is willing to help. I was transferred several times to various offices and no one ever picked up the phone to speak to me. I've been a patient at this practice for many years, seeing most of the doctors at the Immedicenter at one time or another, and have always found them both professional and more than willing to listen. I am particularly a patient of Drs. Coleman and Brelvi. In my too-extensive experience they're patient, attentive and solid diagnosticians. I've also read and listened over the years to complaints about uncaring, non-responsive staff at OTHER practices; I have NEVER found that to be true at the Immedicenter in Totowa. I have UNIFORMLY found the nursing and clerical staff caring, responsive and good at their jobs. I see a lot of doctors and have seen a number of bad ones ... NONE are, or ever have been, part of this practice. I remain a patient and I'd suggest you couldn't go wrong by selecting a physician (and the staff) here either. read more

My husband had a severe allergic reaction at the willowbrook mall and I rushed him to the first urgent care center I could think of on the way home which was the medexpress in Totowa. He walked in there completely covered in hives, red and swollen everywhere! The woman at the front desk told him he needed to wait an hour because they were busy after telling her he was having an allergic reaction. Route 80 was a parking lot because it was rush hour so we left in a hurry and stopped at the ImmediCenter in Totowa a little further down. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! They took him in right away after seeing he was having an allergic reaction! From the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out they were all amazing and attentive to my husband. Even though there was a ton of people waiting they saw this was clearly an emergency and took him right away!! THANK YOU ImmediCenter of Totowa for taking care of my husband and treating him right away! These people are true medical professionals !! This could of been so much worse god forbid the reaction turned to anaphylaxis! Thank you everyone !!! Especially the sweet nurse that kept coming in to check on us I wish I had gotten her name but she was wonderful! The front desk was very kind and the PA that saw us was great too! Went there due to problems with tonsil stones and was given a covid test immediately despite no valid evidence of needing one or having covid. The first test came back negative and im thinking "cool, so now can I get help for the problem i originally came here for?" They take another swab test and tell me to come back in 2 days instead of treating me. Absolutely ridiculous considering I was tested twice and had NO TEMPERATURE. So here I am legitimately in pain waiting for them to allow me in. So next time I go here I have to lie about my problem just to get service. I highly recommend the Immedicenter in Clifton, NJ if one needs help, there's a 50% chance this one will deny you. Very shameful to deny someone healthcare. I honestly hope no one with a severe problem goes here because you might get swab tested and sent home. read more

Unprofessional, incompetent, unethical and dispassionate. My wife was injured at work and was required to go to the Immedicenter in Totowa. She injured her wrist, knee and neck. Without taking a single x-ray or performing any other diagnostics, they bandaged her up, told her to go back to work the next day without any medication, and told her to return the next day at 4 PM for x-rays since their technician was not in. Because of the pain she was experiencing, she didn't return to work, but went to the Immedicenter the next morning. The receptionist was very rude and said, "Why are you here? Your appointment is for 4 pm. You were supposed to be at work!!" X-rays were taken and showed no broken bones in her knee or wrist, but they refused to x-ray her neck, and again they told her to return to work despite the intense pain she was experiencing. We asked for the name of the doctor who made these decisions and was told her name was "Tang". We asked if Tang was a licensed medical doctor and was told, "No she is a PA." we asked why we were not told that no doctor had examined my wife, and was informed the doctor was not available and was not needed. We left and went to an Orthopedic Specialist who took x-rays, and MRI's. The diagnosis was a torn meniscus and two displaced cervical discs, the wrist was just bruised. My wife has been in therapy for two months, and out of work for two weeks. If you are even thinking about going to the Immedicenter in Totowa, you are risking your health and your life. read more

I was not feeling good all night long and didn't feel like I want to go to emergency room, ImmediCenter was on my way to work and I stopped by. Not knowing how long it will take and what time I will get to work I did it anyway. I was treated by very pleasant young lady , the intake form was quick. I was taken to an exam room and immediately a medical assistant came over asking me medical questions while putting the answers in the computer. I already feel making the choice to go to this place was a good idea because I can feel and see how organized and clean the place is. After a few minutes a young doctor walked in, he was pleasant and taking the time to listen, he ordered an X-ray which was done in the same building and was immediately reviewed. From the beginning to end the experience was amazing and I will always go to this place instead of emergency room not just to save time but the money difference between $30 at ImmediCenter and $250 at the emergency room is big. The front desk staff here is HORRIBLE. I had blood work done and can't get in to discuss the results with the doctor and here it is three months later and still waiting. the front desk clerk literally lied to me in my face to say that she had called me to change the time on a schedule appt. with me and when i tried to show her my phone to tell here she did NOT speak with me, she just turned her head. This was after 3 cancellations/rescheduling on the office's behalf. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Oh and they have the nerve to ask for a 1 a page for my medical records. read more

The biggest welcome fact: they take walk-ins and they are open after working hours. They accept most insurances and the doctor is with you in minutes. I skipped ER to visit immedicenter and their care and committment to me was fabulous. The doctors are good and helpful and make you feel comfortable. I would give it five stars just for the fact that Dr. Scott Coleman is there and I found him to be very professional, and easy to talk to with a great disposition. The reasons it is not Five star are as follows: It still has the clinic vibe in the waiting room, a bit cheap on design. While the doctors are efficient and wait times are not long, there are some with a little less personality than others. It was my first visit and I guess I feel like you should at least be greeted with a smile. The staff at the window are all pretty matter of fact, and yet were very pleasant and accommodating. On my second visit, I had Dr. Coleman and he was pleasant, helpful and made me consider changing my primary to him. By the time I had to make a third visit, I requested Dr. Coleman. He was again, very pleasant and concerned. That is when I actually decided to make him my primary. Better, faster service than my regular doctor. I can make my regular appointments with Dr. Coleman, go in for emergency visits and be seen right away, either here or their other two locations that EVEN HAVE HOLIDAY HOURS!!! It's the best of both worlds. read more

I went with my husband to translate and unfortunately had no babysitter for my 3 kids so I had to bring them with us. we said hi when we walked in and the 3 ladies at the reception desk didn't reply or offered to help. after 20 minutes a nurse called his name and her facial expression was of disbelief when she saw us all walking in. While inside in the examination room she kept giving my kids an evil look even though all they were doing was playing their tablets. doctor walks in within 15 minutes and his first comment was "oh you brought the whole gang". he examined my husband and started writing in his computer without saying a word for like 10 minutes. complete silence until I mentioned my diagnosis and he said yes that's what it is. then he turned around opened the door and as he was walking out he said go get your medicine at your pharmacy. The people at this location have no sociable skills and made us feel very uncomfortable. WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN!!!! read more

I just was laughed at and had a pen thrown at me by the receptionists because I was in pain and crying. When I asked for a pen to fill out the paper work I was given an attitude and then she threw it at my stomach (the place i was complaining about the pain).... Ive never in my life felt so violated. On top of it they wouldn't stop talking about me and cracking jokes (thinking i couldn't hear them)I had to get up and leave, on my way out the door the term ONLY WHITE PEOPLE was said out loud and both receptionists got a good chuckle... still not funny to me. I would NEVER recommend this place. I went to the clifton location and was treated in less than an hour and everyone was beyond professional. read more

Im not sure exactly how this place even has 4stars because it deserves 0. If i didnt have to click one i wouldnt. I just left there being i live so close, i had never been there before. I asked my brother to drive me over because of the amount of pain i am currently in, my mother also met me to pay for the visit. When i first walked in I GREETED THEM! i said good morning how are you? That should have been my first clue that and the fact that they LOOKED MISERABLE!! When time for insurance i did not have my card, so we were explained too "like we were children" that the visit itself without would cost $125 and up my mother then said ok the lady proceeds to then still say so your going to pay privately? We said yes we just said ok. We were not offered to have my insurance looked up ( because we know you can look it up) she was obviously lazy, anyway my mother said to ME i dont understand why she asked me again what part of ok wasnt she understanding? I said idk let it go. Wellll after that these two women started talking about my mother and looking at her and laughing, i then went up to grab my clip board to fill out info and a pen was not given so I politely asked for one. It was then thrown at me. So i pushed the clip board at her and said seriously who throws a pen at a patient? Im not staying here i then proceeded to tell my family to get up and lets go. We now are in clifton WHERE I WAS GREETED, MY INSURANCE WAS OFFERED TO BE LOOKED UP, AND THESE PEOPLE HERE ACTUALLY WANT TO HELP ME!!! i told them the story and they had mentioned it was not the first time. TOTOWA if you dont want to work then dont but dont treat people a certain way because your fucking miserable. read more
