My employer sent me here to get fingerprints done for my FCC renewal. They didn't give me any instructions other than to come here. So I show up and am pretty rudely told that I need an appointment. I ask if that's needed for renewals too, since I had driven quite far from home to get there and didn't want it to be a waste, and was rudely told yes and given a talk about coming prepared. The man working acted like I was a complete idiot, even though I was just following my employer's poorly given instructions. For reference though, I found out later that I didn't even need fingerprints for the type of renewal I was getting, so even though the man working acted like I was an idiot, he didn't seem to know all that much more than I did. I would also like to add that I'm 7 and a half months pregnant with twins and am starting to experience other health issues on top of that, so it actually took a lot of energy for me to get here, since it's far from home. The least the man could have done was treat me with an ounce of respect. I was never rude to him, I didn't demand to be seen despite not having an appointment, I just asked a couple of questions and he was mean and condescending. A little kindness would have gone a long way. And now I know that if I'm ever in the area and in need of postal services, I should go literally anywhere else because this man does not deserve my business. read more

If you've got a package to return, you could drive to a post office 5 hours away and still save more time than if you were to come here. The employees have 0 sense of urgency and are not efficient whatsoever. I should not be waiting in line for 20 minutes (with 3 customers ahead of me) to return a single package. Meanwhile the employees are sitting in the back. Waste of my damn time and I'll be driving to a farther location next time instead of dealing with this bullshit ever again. They need to fire these employees and find someone who actually knows what they're doing. read more

I loved this place. He was thorough with the steps with getting my fingerprints and was very helpful.

I needed to get fingerprints and called to make an appointment. They said I didn't need one so I dropped in during the lunch hour. They took me right away and were super fast and efficient. Note- you can park in back and ring doorbell on back door to get in. (Parking is a little tricky) read more

Writing on behalf of an experience my dad had, the man that did his fingerprints was BEYOND rude. At one point when he offered to move his body a few inches to get a better angle on his hand/prints, my dad was having trouble with 1-2 fingers at first, the worker stopped and loudly chastised my father(for 4-5 people to hear clearly) saying that he was the one conducting this fingerprinting and let him do his job. Then as My dad was leaving, He stopped to look at some store merchandise by the door. The rude worker must have thought He was gone because My dad overheard him saying to the next appointment/customer: "Im very sorry about that individual wasting your time" and then He heard lots of laughter from the worker and the customer at his expense. This degrading, disrespectful behavior is completely unacceptable and should be known to anyone that wants to go to this post office. Just know you may get made fun of or ridiculed if you go in. I'm here for fingerprint today. The big guy in blue is really hard to communicate with and yelled at me the whole time - saying my finger is not relaxed and I'm pushing it myself which is against the law...but really he pushed it or my nature hand weight drop my finger on the plate..I tried to not drop my finger on the plate then he said my finger is not relaxed....which the whole yelling and embarrassment and discriminating made me more nervous to finish the fingerprint... Luckily, I finished it! When I went out to my car, a good old man followed me and telling me I should report him and he is really rude! I'll think about it and what I should do! Just really hope someone more helpful can be there to assist customers instead of yelling and embarrassing experience! read more

I've used this shop 2-3 times every month over the past year, primarily for printing documents from my pen drive. I'm amazed: the laptop and high-quality printers have ALWAYS been in working order, and the proprietors have always been available to help if I need assistance. Prices are quite good for quality photocopying. I walk 1.5 miles to get to this shop because I'm confident I can get my work done, always with great customer service. read more

I came here to do my fingerprints. When I came in for the first time, I just walked in without an appointment, which was a mistake on my part. The attendant was kind and helpful. He informed me that I needed to make an appointment, and told me where to go to do it. I came back the next day at my appointed time, and got my fingerprints done within 5 minutes. The man doing them was cordial, but continually had to tell me to relax my wrist/hand, which was difficult, considering the way I was standing, and the rough way he was holding my wrist. It was an uncomfortable experience in comparison to what I have done before. read more

If you need your fingerprints done, I promise you the extra drive to ANYWHERE else will be worth it. The larger man doing the fingerprints is extremely rude and condescending. He was yelling and belittling the man when he misunderstood the directions. When it was my turn, he kept saying I was tensing up and that I was lifting my arm, which literally makes no sense because he was forcefully holding my arm down? It got to the point where I had to tell him that I was not lifting my arm? Very rude and he purposely tries to make you feel/look stupid. read more

Just witnessed one of the staff there chase after a delivery man. The delivery guy refused to pickup a package because it didn't have a sku and it wasn't able to be tracked. The staff member from Univeristy Postal told him if he didn't take the package, he would throw it away and lie and say that the delivery guy disposed of the package. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.... In short, NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE FOR FINGERPRINTING. My experience was so horrendous that I made my first Yelp account to warn others! When I first arrived, the owner's dog rushed to my mother and started weaving between her legs. Fair enough. However, the dog proceeded to lightly bite my mother (not enough to puncture the skin but she nevertheless felt the dog's teeth) which caused her to make an audible exclamation of shock. One staff member called the dog behind the counter which remedied the situation. But this was only the beginning of my problems. The fingerprinting process was absolutely dreadful. The employee previously photographed in the Yelp gallery was incredibly rude and exhibited the negative behavior described by other reviewers. He kept on telling me to "relax my hand and arm" since he needed to turn my fingers to get the full scope of the fingerprint. I followed his instructions to the best of my ability, but he could not get the fingerprinting correct claiming it was my fault for not cooperating. He was gripping my wrist hard in an awkward position. He claimed that it was "illegal for me to take my own fingerprints" since it seemed like I was pressing my fingers into the machine. In reality, I was simply resting my fingers on the surface as directed. It felt like a miracle that I ever finished my fingerprints. Every failed fingerprint attempt made the employee more unprofessionally annoyed. I got more anxious and nervous causing my hands to sweat which made the situation even worse. The biggest regret I had was apologizing to this man since he seemed so bitter and frustrated by the end of the process. I walked out feeling appalled, humiliated, and infuriated. To make sure I didn't have a muscular/nervous impairment that prevented me from "relaxing my hand and arm," I looked at the other reviews of University Postal. I was unsurprisingly met with many negative reviews citing similar problems. I am not one to intentionally damage a local business's reputation, but I feel obligated to warn others so they will never have an experience mirroring my own. If University Postal is reading this, they must understand that the abundance of negative reviews means that they are in the wrong. It is time for a change. read more

I went in for my scheduled fingerprinting and the guy was very strange or/and just rude. I by accidentally gave him 3 forms or identification instead of 2 (my green card was stuck between my passport). I didn't want it to fall and get lost so I asked "I'm sorry I think my green card might be stuck between my passport. Would you mind passing it over to me so I I don't lose it?" He opened and it was there. He wouldn't give me my permanent resident green card back. He completely ignored me, even though he already had my 2 forms of ID (drivers License and passport). I asked again politely thinking maybe he didn't hear me and he looked me in the eyes and again ignored me. I asked again and did the same thing. He looked me straight in my eyes and didn't respond to what I was asking and began to proceed with the fingerprinting process. I asked again forcefully and he sighed and finally gave me my passport so I could pull out my green card to store safely back in my bag. Does he not understand how detrimental it is to lose your green card? It's obvious he heard me the first 3 times. I don't understand his behavior. Never coming back here again. I don't understand why people treat customers this way. read more

I went in for fingerprinting and there was a woman in front of me having hers done as well. The man operating the system was INCREDIBLY rude and nasty to the poor woman yelling at her to relax her hand. When she was done and signing her name she gently tapped the touch screen to enter her signature and the man literally yelled at her that she was about to break his monitor. It was the most bizarre thing I've ever witnessed. He was so rude and proceeded to yell at her for absolutely no reason. Terrible terrible service. read more

YOU GUYS!!! My anxiety was through the roof while heading here to get my fingerprints done. The couple reviews I read had me thinking some grouchy guy was going to yell at me the whole time. Well I'm here for all the spazzes to say It was nothing like that. The guy (same in other review pics) was friendly and fast. It literally took a total of 5 minutes. I was a little early, no problem. I was relaxed and let him do the work of rolling my fingers on the screen, Which is how it's supposed to be. He is obviously a bit quirky and yes his dog is there to greet you, but the dog didn't bother me at all and I appreciated how quickly everything went. Also, in case you were wondering, (like an overthinker does) there is a parking lot at the end of the complex with free 1 hour parking. In and out, plenty of spots at 9:30am on a weekday. Terrible customer service, it led me to write my first review. Please do not give them your money. Henry, the older, Caucasian, overweight, bald man pictured in previous reviews was extremely rude. I went in for fingerprints and was disgusted with the way the customer before me was treated. it seems like he had trouble relaxing his hand, and may have had physical impairments. Henry yelled at the man, "Please relax your hand, you are hurting me, if you don't want your fingerprints taken then you can leave. if you don't want this job then maybe you should find another job." The customer calmly said "okay I'll relax" and was obviously very anxious. It is such a natural reflex to tense up your hand in that position. Henry created such an uncomfortable environment with such rude customer service. I felt humiliated for the customer in front of me that I had to speak up. I complained to the supervisor, and he was extremely dismissive. This man should not be in the business of fingerprinting people. I've had plenty of previous experiences, inability to relax my hand has always been an issue, but nobody has ever yelled at me and humiliated me the way Henry did to this poor man. read more

Do not come here to take your fingerprints. The man who took my fingerprints was very rude. Yelled at me multiple times in front of other customers because my arms & fingers were supposedly not relaxed & claimed I was trying to take my fingerprints myself because I was "pushing" my fingers down when really he was holding my fingers and wrist a little too roughly resulting in me trying to loosen his grip. Really made me feel like I was doing something criminal. I have done my fingerprints before elsewhere & have never had an experience like this. His fingerprinting technique is trash & needs to be reviewed as well as his approach with customers. How do you expect someone to "loosen up" if you're coming at them with an unwelcome tone that then turns into screaming at them? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This place is terrible. As I walked in I was not greeted, the man sat there and watched me until I finally said I had an appointment for finger prints. He was rude from the beginning. Kept yelling at me to relax my hand, how was I supposed to do that when he's holding my wrist super tight. A customer walked in and he kept yelling at me in front of her. I have gotten my fingerprints done multiple times and have never had a problem. I am all about good customer service and this experience was beyond terrible. I have been using University Postal for several years - professional, caring, experienced professionals managing the business they own and operate every day by themselves. I am an international traveler and Ed & Mike's (owner-operators) attention to my needs is essential to the success of my business. Anyone who makes an observation having been their once and observing Ed or Mike battling with the United States Postal workers does not understand the process or the constant problems they have with the USPS. Frequency and recently almost daily, the U.S. Postman does not deliver mail during a whole day or it may occur that the USPS doesn't deliver on Saturday and then so late on a Monday that the many of us using University Postal - several hundreds, cannot obtain our mail until Tuesday . . .this is a real problem and not because of University Postal. And, Ed & Mike are constantly battling with the USPS to improve their conduct and duty to deliver the mail on time and during normal business hours. This isn't only important to me! This Postal Service provides USPS, DHL, UPS, Fedex, fingerprinting - to name a few services, to U of A Students, U of A support personnel, Medical Complex personnel and the many commercial businesses at the northwestern quadrant of the University of Arizona . . . obviously important and critical! If you want a postal service that is going to fight with the USPS to improve their service, if you want to receive e-mails when important mail is in your box. If you want things e-mailed to you when you are thousands of miles away, if you cannot get there one day and can call to see if anything you were waiting for is in your box, then, this is the place for you. I visited University Postal to complete fingerprint clearance. The staff was not friendly and the individual that assisted in my fingerprinting was very rude and inpatient as I had a hard time relaxing my wrist and fingers.
