To…read moreCatherine, Jeff, Cory, Sarah, Mitch and all of the dedicated staff at the Inn, we cannot thank you enough for making our day such a dream come true. We had our rehearsal dinner in the greenhouse room at 30 Boltwood the night prior and the food was incredible. We tried 30 Boltwood last year and both agreed that you truly cannot go wrong with any menu item - and my God you haven't lived until you have had their Mac and cheese. We had the 3 course meal with a choice of 3 entrees and both of our families have not stopped talking about it! We had multiple people who have allergies or restrictions and they were accommodated throughout the weekend, which was such a relief as they were able to just enjoy themselves fully. Sarah was an incredible help throughout the dinner and ensured we were all taken care of. We made the decision to move to an outdoor cocktail hour and tented reception due to COVID-19 mask mandates in Amherst, but you seriously could not tell it was not what we originally planned. We felt so secure that our plans would come to life in the hands of the staff, and we were so happy with how everything turned out! Our guests raved about the venue location, the passed hors d'oeuvres and the dinner selection and the staff were beyond communicative - again, Catherine was a HUGE help, from getting us champagne glasses, to general check ins, and helping get stains out of my wife's dress not one but two different times...Both of us have worked for wedding events and in the food service industry in the past and know just how much needs to go on behind the scenes to make an event successful. Their staff worked incredibly hard and provided such an incredible wedding during the heart of the pandemic, which is no easy task. Their flexibility and attention to detail were clear throughout the weekend and made every difference for us. It was an absolutely perfect weekend, which ticked every box for us and we cannot wait to come back for anniversary celebrations!

We sat in the parlor room and the chairs were all torn up- terrible! We wanted coffee and went to the front desk where the clerk was playing solitaire. When we asked if there was coffee or hot cocoa we were told to go to the bar and order it and it would be delivered to us- we were surprised that she didn't stand up and offer to take care of it for us. Customer service training should be a focus. There are a lot of places to stay and we should feel that we made the right choice in staying here and spending money here but we don't. Hopefully employee training as well as some repairs will be done so that customers can benefit.

The complimentary breakfast provided both hot entrees and continental offerings. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. And their rooftop solar panels provide nearly half of its electricity needs! Stayed in Hampton Inn for a couple of nights. I haven't stayed in one of these for a few years so I…read morewasn't sure what to expect but I was pretty happy with my stay. Pros: - Free breakfast! It's really just your usual continental breakfast but when you didn't expect this and they do have food for you for free, its kind of a nice surprise. - The bedroom itself is actually very renovated as all the furniture and beds felt very new. Also, because it doesn't seem like a lot of people stay in this hotel, the room feels not very used which is nice. - Lots of USB and charging ports. Honestly, probably the most I have ever seen in a hotel room which is pretty cool! - Supportive staff! I needed help booking a cab and they were all very helpful and nice about it. Cons - The bathrooms were a bit old and there was some problems with the way it was modeled, at least in my room. The sink handle was a little loose so there wasn't a differentiator between warm and cold water and the shower faucet (I'm not sure what it was called) was angled and so the water didn't come out straight. - Would've appreciated if it was closer to a supermarket or some sort of thing as in order to get anything you do need a car. Overall, not a bad stay at all. Can't imagine why there would be people staying here unless its affiliated with one of the Universities in the area but regardless, glad I got to experience this hotel.

Room service started knocking on our door at 10. We explained checkout was noon. They were back at 10:20 and again at 10:45. We gave up and left. I was told the manager, Jeremy Brown, was not in that morning. I called him the next day. He agreed to refund half the charge, or $90, but said I had to arrange it with Booking.com. I asked for a credit on booking.com. They refused to provide it bc they said manager Jeremy Brown did not return several phone calls confirming he agreed to the refund, and added that booking.com has a no-refund policy. so the service is lousy/disruptive and the manager is not responsive to complaints.

The breakfast is nothing but carbs; bread, cereal, cupcakes. No protein, no dairy other than milk for coffee. The fruit that's available looks like it's been sitting in the bowl for several months, certainly not fresh. We had a lot of issues with our room keys ceasing to work. Which was particularly frustrating considering that if we parked at the side door nearest our room we couldn't get it. In the two nights we were there we had to get our keys reprogrammed 4 times. The reception staff on the late shift are very surly, and certainly don't want to help you. Although close to the Hampshire Mall and other stores, the area outside gets quite seedy after dark. Next time I'm back visiting UMass I shall look for alternate accommodation It doesn't even live up to the adage 'cheap & cheerful'.

My room was basic, but clean and very comfortable. The shower was warm and the pressure was good. The heat/AC worked well and was a bit nosy but not at all like other places I have stayed. My room's location was almost a guarantee to be loud. Right across from the ice machine and the first room from the pool. However, with the exception of one little girl who didn't want to leave the pool and had a lovely set of lungs, there was no noise. It was a peaceful night's sleep. The free breakfast in the morning was a huge disappointment. Coffee was there, cereal, oatmeal packets, and some pastry that I noticed was there the night before.
