These guys are great for what amounts to a discount service, and though what you get is just as…read moregood as any of the big, expensive companies, it's worth noting that it's discounted for a reason--in this case, the bathroom on the time machine was a little bit foul. My girlfriend and I used Golden Time Travel when we wanted to take a vacation but couldn't get any time off. It's a great vacation option since you can be gone for literally months and return to the present only a moment after you left. Our first trip booked with Golden was pretty great. We wanted to get away to somewhere familiar so we went to San Francisco in 1905. It was real nice and the exchange rate was excellent, particularly because of inflation since then. The trolleys got us around real easily, and everyone was very friendly. We had a nice time staying at the Palace Hotel, and our bellhop, Edward, was wonderful. You can imagine our shock when, upon arriving home, we looked him up and found out he died the next year in the earthquake, along with the hotel which was destroyed in the ensuing fire. Very sad. I kind of wish we'd warned him now. The next year we saved up a bit and went to classical Greece. Golden Time Travel dropped us off and picked us up two weeks later without a hitch. My girlfriend has a lighter complexion, and though she got made fun of a bit for being a "barbarian"--several times we heard children chanting "bar-bar-bar" and making fun of our yet-uninvented tongue--the famous "Athenian hospitality" more than made up for it. Plus, those togas are surprisingly flattering. My only critique is that the cuisine left something to be desired. We forgot that this was pre-Columbian exchange, so no tomatoes, potatoes, chocolate, corn or avocados. Also, they hadn't quite figured out chemistry in that era, much less baking, so don't expect to be impressed with the pastries (no baklava yet). For our next trip we decided to check out the Bay Area in 2085. Now, I know this wasn't Golden Time Travel's fault, as they just provide the time machine, but this trip was an absolute disaster. Apparently Mark Zuckerberg is a robot fascist dictator in that year, and he forces loyalty through perpetual social surveillance. Well, it was really terrifying, and we spent most of the trip dodging the Google Civilian View drone copters that track down "nonconsumers" and install g-chips to catalog their brain. I know the contents of the future aren't the fault of Golden, but we would have appreciated some forewarning. They certainly have the technology.

These guys are legit. I wanted to visit 18th century France, and lo and behold, there I was. Now…read moregranted, I've only tried them out once, and I really don't know the extent of their capabilities. As other Yelpers point out, it's definitely a service at a discount, no frills, and you have to be *really* explicit with your request. Don't leave anything up to chance, as I don't think they even have insurance (I bought my own). FWIW I think the Wild West and Ancient Egypt would be a blast, and who knows, maybe check out some dinosaurs? Note: they do *not* offer visits to the future.

There is a place which has documented contribution of the history of San Francisco from this year Super Bowl teams cities and regions. The city of Seattle ( Rainier Beer) and Boston ( Ship Bank) via New England are represented inside . Although I am not fans of either teams, I do appreciate any contribution of other cities to San Francisco . This museum is the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park Visitor Center and even has a sign posted which refers to the city of San Francisco as Frisco. Some locals call it Frisco and some cringe over it and some debate over it ( the endless online debate). This place has embraced the city reference as Frisco at a historical and federal level. On a Winter January stroll at Fisherman's Wharf by the sea boats and ships on Jefferson street in San Francisco you will find a museum with free admission. Inside you will see the history of San Francisco water front before it became a tourist trap. You will see inside items like historical hats and props of seafood in SF. There are displays of even historic bottles of beer and whiskey. They also have statues and a ship inside . The Maritime National Historic Museum Visitor Center is a good place to learn and appreciate how the water front transformed Fisherman's Wharf and San Francisco also known as Frisco by some. When you "enter " the "Maritime National Historic Museum Visitor Center " you will be transported in a time when ships were the main source of transportation when trade was legal "tender" to buy goods over a century ago from merchants or a "vendor" This museum has history of San Francisco when it started with "Spain " before it became USA " terrain" and then ended with the 1898" Spanish American Campaign"and some historical artifacts of the past inside the Maritime National Historic Museum Visitor Center still "remain"

She and her daughter are amazing at booking travel arrangements. We've used them for tours all over Asia or for just booking airfare or hotel accommodations in Asia. (They arrange travel for all over, not just Asia.) They always get great prices for airfare and always put us up in 4-5 star hotels. They take care of everything and don't tack on service charges. Once, Alice even did all that work for me when I had to apply for a visa to travel to China. She got the visa for me in less than 1 week and didn't charge me at all. Alice is very honest and speedy. If you have an idea of where you are travelling to, just give her the place and dates. She'll get you the best flight times and rates. She's also very knowledgeable about destinations and tours because she goes on all of them. She also stays at all the different hotels so she can book the accommodations to exactly what you want. I've also done my own research online and I don't get as low rates as Ming's finds. Booking travel arrangements with Ming's is so easy. Usually, I don't even have to go to their office. I just call in and Alice follows up with me really quickly. When I give her the go ahead, she'll just charge it to my credit card and email me the itinerary, confirmation, and e-tickets. Easy as 1-2-3! If you're looking for a travel agency that goes above and beyond, Ming's is just that.

So why would I review this business? With Chinese New Year almost upon us, the quest for pear-shaped, white meat grapefruits led me here (). These are the ones that I remember as a child on the coffee table with the decorative snack display boxes filled with dried fruits, melon seeds, and candies, offerings for visiting guests who come to wish everyone a happy new year. Walking by here almost on a daily basis, I noticed a shelf rack by the entrance filled with them (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=O7WakTFNW2bxYIPzXxNA2A). I asked the gentleman who manned it how are they and he said very sweet. I purchased three to start for three different households. They are a tad on the dry side but I believe it's due to the grapefruit type. I stopped here a week before CNY and the selection dwindled considerably especially for the larger one. The larger ones were $7.99 each but they are only left with medium ones for $5.99 or small ones that are 3 for $10. Stop here if you are looking for this type of grapefruit for family or friends to celebrate Chinese New Year. I hope this will be a better year than last.

SHADY! SHADY! SHADY!…read more I usually try not to write too many 1-star reviews, but after my family's experience here, I couldn't help myself. My parents + 90-year grandma booked their upcoming Hong Kong trip from this agency and said they were one of the "cheaper" agencies in Chinatown that offers hotel + airfare deals. Lies...nothing but lies! Went to pick up their tickets and hotel reservations with them only to find out the agency have switched them to a less expensive, much further hotel without their consent (what a coincident!). The lady at the agency was trying to sell us that this new hotel was better + much more convenient, making it seem like she was doing us a favor. What a joke! I have actually stayed at that hotel and it is much FURTHER than the original spot. I was trying to tell her that I don't want my g-ma to have to walk more than she needs to and the only reason why we picked the original hotel was because it was centrally located and more convenient to the ferries + MTR. why did I even bother, she did not give a rat-a$$ about my g-ma. Then came the paying part and the lady put me over the top. When my parents first booked their tickets, the same lady told my mom that they only need to put down a cash deposit and can charge the rest on a credit card when the tickets are issued. Therefore, I pulled out my cc, only for the lady to reject me and say "cash only". WTH, I don't carry $4,000 cash on me! Giving me a whole mouth full of service charges involved with credit cards and how you could only charge the tickets before they were issued and blah blah blah. Seriously lady, you are a travel agency and people easily spend thousands here for travels and you're going to give me some BS excuse like that?!?! Just our luck, we came on a Sunday and no banks were open. So what happens? We leave the freaking place without the tickets! I only wished my Cantonese was better so that I could talk back to her, but knowing that my Cantonese sucks, she took full advantage of me and the situation! It really upsets me that people are not upfront and honest with their business. Shady business practice, poor customer service, and they're nothing but dishonest sales people, shame on them! If you are looking for travel deals, DO NOT come here!
