Gigi is terrific! Recommended from a relative that travels frequently to China on business, Gigi was fast, friendly and very helpful. I've never traveled abroad before, but the planning process was pleasant. While my needs were slightly complex [visiting 3 different cities], everything was handled well. I even researched prices online and talked to the AAA travel department in person but none could match the Supertime Travel price. Oh and whenever I called them on the phone, whether it was the receptionist or Gigi directly, they were always nice and friendly. I was referred to this travel agency and based on the rave reviews, I decided to check it out before my trip. I've heard that they can get you ticket prices way below anything you find online and can hook up cheap hotel accommodation too. This is not the case. I've been checking prices constantly, and wrote down the cheapest flight I found on Kayak. She gave me the exact same itinerary at $40 more than Kayak. I tried asking her to find other prices at +/- 3 days, but she basically just did one search and insisted that it was the cheapest. $40 is no big difference, but I also did not want to do business with such a rude lady. She wasn't rude to be personally. Boy, there was a lot of yelling and passive-aggressive comments to co-workers and customers. It just felt very hostile in there. Better off with Kayak - avoid the yelling and do a thorough search. read more

Gigi is definitely fast and knowledgeable. I think she got me a pretty good deal for an Asia trip, and also took care of my visa for a fee of around application cost + $30. I would recommend communicating through email if you don't need an immediate response. She ended up putting me on hold many times when I called because she get so many calls. Also, when dropping off my passport, I made the mistake of trying to figure out my itinerary with her in person. The phone rang often and other customers walked in--for the 15 minutes conversation, I ended up being there for more than an hour. One thing that didn't sit well for me was a set mandatory tip ("daily service fee") to the local tour company in Shanghai. My package included five days of tour services which I didn't use. However, I was required to pay the daily service fee to the tour guide when I got there; he explained that he had to submit the money to his agency. The fee was not very high, but should have been tagged onto the package total if it was truly the case. A little strange. I would consider going through Gigi again for my next trip to Asia, but would evaluate the terms more carefully to figure out of there is a saving. read more

Gigi is awesome. I used to call Gigi to book but now I just send Gigi email with dates I want to travel, let her know if i can be flexible, which seat I want(she knows it so well by now). Then she return email with a few dates and prices. I picked one, give her my cc # and other information. Next, E ticket confirmation send to my home address. By the way, the price always include airport taxes and other services. So I don't have to worry about another few hundreds to add on. read more

Aside from occasionally wishing that the agents will turn down their headset volume, so that I can stop holding the receiver a foot away from my head, I couldn't be happier with Supertime. My office books all their international travel with this agency, and they really go the full distance to help me each time I have to travel (which is about 10x's a year, internationally). In my last job, we booked international travel through the big firms, and agents were inflexible and occasionally, flat out stupid. Not Supertime, who actually learns customers' names and their typical traveling habits. Gigi especially is a lifesaver. No visa? Trip in a week? Send passport and photo and she will complete forms, expedite shipment, send everything back to my office in 5 days. What a relief to not have to worry. read more

She is super nice, every time when I need to join the tour, regardless of the cheap tours (shopping type) or the expensive (Signet tours), she explains all the pro and con for that tour for me. She has been helping me to arrange everything. I don't have to worry about anything but just give her the departure date and return date. She will find the best deal for me. She will also confirm everything a week before my trip start. Sometime you may not get the cheapest you want but you will get the best services, that's the most important thing when you trying to arrange your vacation. This company is refusing to refund customers whose trips have been impacted by coronavirus. They assert that the refund process will take months yet have no problems collecting upfront payment despite nearly every global airline policy to offer FREE refunds for those impacted by coronavirus. Do not ever book with these frauds who are trying to profit off a pandemic event. These people should go out of business for their unethical, callous behavior. Great for international flights to Canada or Asia. Other than that, book online for domestic flights. Gigi had helped my friend and our group with great prices to Toronto. I went back to Gigi to help me book a Hong Kong & Thailand trip, which included a multi-destination flight that was about $1k less than what I had found online and a hotel in Hong Kong. When the hotel in Hong Kong gave me the wrong room (a more expensive but smaller one on the deluxe floor), I sent Gigi an email, which wouldn't reach her for two days because it was the weekend. When she read my email, she immediately got on the phone with the hotel manager to clear up the booking. She emailed me back with my options and to get in touch with the hotel manager. The hotel manager said that I could downgrade into a bigger, less expensive room or pay extra to add a bed to the deluxe room. Since I didn't want to bother switching rooms, I agreed to pay extra. To my surprise, the hotel manager ended up saying that he would wave the extra costs and let me stay on the deluxe floor! I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten that type of VIP treatment if I had thrown a tantrum or booked the room myself instead of through Gigi. Since then, I've been recommending Gigi to any friends that have Asia travel on their minds. Gigi is the main English-speaking travel agent and would be the person responding to emails sent to Supertime Travel. I'm sure she recognizes my name and might even be annoyed with all of my travel inquiries. Now I'm recommending that you do the same! read more

Great travel agency for booking tours. The bf and I were planning a trip back to China for our end of the year vacation this passed December and we found this place since it's close to where we live. They have many packages through various travel tour companies that take you to China, Japan, and many cruise packages, too. We found a tour package that was an 8-day tour to China that was $899 and $120 extra for a stopover in Hong Kong. Our entire trip after taxes and surcharges turned out to be approximately $1200 which was really cheap since they took care of pretty much everything for us. AND the food and hotel was included while we were on the tour, which made everything so much more worth it. read more

I have used Super Time travel twice and have been very pleased both times. The first time was pretty straightforward as it was a simple trip from San Francisco to Hong Kong. The most recent trip in late 2008 was on a trip to Hong Kong, various cities in Thailand, and Singapore. Even though it required 7 different flights, Gigi of Super Time travel handled each segment perfectly. She also assisted us with the hotel arrangements in Singapore. Gigi was always very friendly and easy to work with despite the fact that I had to refine my travel plans as we went along. I highly recommend Gigi at Super Time Travel. BTW, my Chinese is not as good as it should be but Gigi is very proficient in English as well as in Chinese. I am very upset with Gigi. She is the worst travel agent I have ever had. I use travel agent every other year to buy ticket to Hong Kong. I am familiar with how they work to get plane ticket. This year, my husband and I plus another friend want to go to Japan and Hong Kong in Jan 2011. I researched online to find Supertime Travel. I went to the Clement office on Saturday (Sep 11,2011) and asked for Japan 6-day tour. It happened that I talked to Gigi. She was nice and helpful to begin with and give me the price($2,027 each with Grand Holidays) for the 6-day tour. We were on the phone a few time to discuss about the 6-day and 8-day ($2,200 each)Japan tour. She told me that if the tour doesn't form, we will not get the tour package plane ticket to go to Japan and Hong Kong. The whole tour had to be canceled. I said that was risky. We took days off already. We didn't want to pay double for the plane ticket just because the tour doesn't form at the last minute. So I asked Gigi how much the plane ticket itself cost to Japan one week and to Hong Kong one week. She said she would not sell the plane ticket with the tour package price to customer unless it is a ticket & hotel package. I told her to give me a quote on this package. She quoted me $1,495 a person. This package included plane ticket to Japan one week and to Hong Kong one week, and 4 nights staying at Hilton in Japan. At this time, she had booked 3 tickets for me and waiting to be issued. (Sep 28, 2010) At the same time, I called another travel agent in Oakland to find out how much the plane ticket itself cost for the same schedule. She quoted me $1,185 and she said this price would increase on Oct 1, 2010 due to airport taxes increased. I called Gigi (Sep 29, 2010) to find out if that was true. She confirmed. So I told Gigi that I would like to issue the ticket with the hotel tomorrow after I confirm with my husband and my friend. On Sep 30, 2010, I called Gigi 3 times (from 1pm to 4:30pm) and left my phone number to her coworker to call me back. She never did. Finally, I was upset and called her again at 4:45pm and asked her coworker if they could help me to issue the plane tickets. Her coworker was helping me to look up my information. At that time, I heard Gigi from the background saying that she would call me back and help me. So her coworker hang up on me. I waited and waited. She never called me back that day. The next day on Oct 1, 2010, I called Gigi at 10:10am to find out what was going on. Her coworker pick up the phone and said Gigi was with a customer and would call me back. I complained to her coworker that I had tried to reach her all day yesterday and she never called me back. She insisted that Gigi would call me back later. Gigi never called me back that day. I was really upset. I am trying to be loyal to her and gave her my business. But she acted ridiculously unprofessional. I called the other travel agent who quoted me $1,185 two days ago for the plane ticket. I knew that the ticket price had already increased because it was on Oct 1st.. She quote me $1,400 with one stop and layover in Hong Kong airport for 6 hours before we can go to Tokyo with Cathay Pacific airline. Alternative ANA direct with no layover is $1,500. I called addition 3 more travel agents to see if I could get a better price. All quoted me the same price due to Chinese New Year and airport taxes increased. Because of Gigi's unprofessional conduct, we have to pay $300 more per person for this trip just because of the one day different. I don't know why 8 out of 10 reviews saying that she is good. She sucks and is very unreliable. The weird thing is that all these reviews are talking about Gigi only and emphasize on how good she is . No other coworkers are having any reviews. My personal experience with Gigi is awful. I will never use her again. She possibly sell my ticket to other customer with a higher price for her own good.
