I came here to drop off my bass for repair. I'm not even a full bass player yet, still very much a newb with only 5 to 10 minutes of practice time most nights or days a week since getting the bass. But I've had bass issues like needing to replace the strings already and having to fix the input jack on the bass. They were very nice here and had the bass done quickly. I like to support local music stores so if one of my friend's doesn't end up starting his own music repair business I'll probably come back to universal to give them business and money. read more

I dropped my husbands guitar off the get set up, it was an gift from a friend, and they told me it would be ready on Wednesday. I went Wednesday to pick it up and it hadn't even been looked at yet. The older gentleman at the counter, who told me Wednesday, said he would call me when it was ready. I told him that isn't what he said, he said it would be ready Wednesday. The gentleman who was going to do the work came out of the back and told me he only comes in on Fridays, "so why did the gentleman say it would be ready Wednesday?" He apologizes but said it would be ready Friday, but they will call when it is ready so I don't have to go down for no reason. We tried calling three times and no one picked it, all three times. We had to wait ANOTHER WHOLE WEEK for them to finally call us. I was going out of state and my husband was too made to go down in person because he had promised to do Christmas music for a party at the friend who gave us the guitar and was embarrassed he didn't have it back yet, he was NOT happy. When I got back in town, I called the store and explained the story and the old man did not care at all. He said it is ready now, but it is over a week later, but he just didn't care about the inconvenience and when I told him how mad my husband was, no apology for anything. I won't go here again, which is sad cause it is very local and I like to use small businesses. That old man should not be at the front desk or deal with costumers, it is really bad for that business. Very nice shop with good prices and excellent service. Dropped in for a Drum Lug and the shop owed took one off an old drum for me. Didn't get that level of service from the big music retailer. Will def go back. read more

What a pleasure and very talented. We originally called Jason from Long Island handyman to hang our new T.V. Soon after we had him install our new camera system and finish our basement. First off I highly recommend a camera system to everyone! It really is piece of mind and added security. We had gotten prices for $3,500 - $4,000 and like anyone reading this that's a hard one to squeeze in. After talking with Jason he gave us a price for $1,500 for 16 cameras and one of those cameras I can zoom and spin around. Deffinitly the best prices on cameras with us having 4 estimates. As for our basement is a great addition to our house. Our kids love it and so do all their friends! He truly means it when he says we do it all so you only have to make 1 call. Next job will be converting all our lights to led! Yay the little things in life. It's always nice to find new ways to save money. I hope this helps anyone looking for the right handyman.
