He looked over my cello, and showed me what was wrong with it - the factory setup on it was somewhat rough-cut, and prevented me from comfortably playing in the higher positions without my fingertips hurting. As he cut down the bridge and refitted the sound post, he kept me updated on what he was doing, and why. He knows what he's doing, and how to do it right. In about 45 minutes, he finished and led me to a different room so I could test out the new setup. The difference was substantial - the lower bridge made thumb position much less painful, and the refitted sound post seems to make the instrument more resonant. His prices are very reasonable, and the work he does is top-notch. Overall a wonderful experience. If something were to go wrong on my cello again, he is the first person I would visit.

Assistant reached out via text to explain pricing, schedule, class format. Wanted to schedule the intro. But assistant made discouraging remarks about my child's NYSSMA score (25 out of 28 first time), and said they would not be the right fit for us due to scores and inability to play piano more than 3 hours per week due to other extra curriculars. If you are very serious about lessons and this is the only activity, perhaps they are wonderful. But very unfortunate to be discouraging young players without even meeting them. Pricing is $249/month for small group classes that are taught as individuals - kids have headphones on and capped to 5 students and teacher goes between students over the hour.

Danny is an excellent teacher and musician. He is patient, encouraging, and very articulate, and…read morehis knowledge of musical technique and craftsmanship is immediately apparent. I came to him for help with my original music, vocal melodies, pitch, and learning piano parts, and he has been incredibly helpful with all of it. Dan studied with renowned vocal coach Wm "Bill" Riley, whose clients included Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and Liza Minnelli, as well as internationally renowned vocal pedagogue Dr. Linda Carroll. That level of training is reflected in the way he teaches. He explains concepts clearly and adapts each lesson to your individual goals instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. What I appreciate most is that he genuinely listens and understands what you're trying to accomplish. He goes above and beyond by assigning thoughtful practice exercises and checking in with his students between lessons. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and highly skilled voice teacher who is truly invested in your success, I highly recommend Danny. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mGHNVvBBH_Eoodz-Ypf-MEjRW60n2bbgY&si=fDixWobbcQ0KvyFP
