I love that the music changes every semester so he continues to grow and learn. It also contains music in other languages, which is amazing! In terms of the curriculum, the common music books are used. The teachers vary depending on the schedule; and many are very exceptional in music background, theory and even with the performing aspects. One difference in how Rhythm differs from many music schools is that they provide music-reading class in a group setting. Initially, it was not something that was expected given that we have explored many other past music schools that did not provide this option. The group class is in addition to the private lessons - a feature that may seem a bit daunting (if you are in a crunch for time), but it turns out, it is VERY beneficial. As a result of the group classes that covers an array of topics in the music theory lessons - my child was more advanced in the public school music classes. It has had helped to serve as a foundation for other music approaches. What a great feature that Rhythm provides! The costs for the lessons already covers this theory class, so in a way, it is a deal. I personally like that there are customized approaches to teaching children. I do not believe a cookie-cutter one sized lesson plan fits all students. Every student has their own way of learning - and thank goodness the Rhythm teachers were very very very attentive in assessing the needs of individual students. I noticed they were able to alter their methodology in order to work on areas of improvement. I think that is an attribute that group music lessons and strict music teachers may not always possess. More importantly, a lot of the instructors make it very fun - so that the students are able to absorb contents more effectively. We are absolutely and completely proud to be a part of such a phenomenal music studio!

We wanted her to continue learning piano and sought out a new teacher. We set up an evaluation with Ms. Theresa earlier this year. And just from the evaluation, my daughter changed her mind about quitting. Ms. Theresa's calm, patient, encouraging, and soothing teaching style was exactly what my daughter needed. She was comfortable with Ms. Theresa from the beginning. She especially loves the games Ms. Theresa uses to teach piano fundamentals. They are a great way to make the lessons fun and engaging. My daughter is more enthusiastic about playing piano, and has greatly improved. She even practices at home more than she did with previous teachers. Lastly, Ms. Theresa's rates are less than what we had been paying previously.

My youngest took drums and made incredible progress. both of my children got to play in a rock band where they were paired with other students so they combine their talents. In the past, I've heard many performances by QMA rock bands formed with their students. They can really feel their accomplishments. I see many students coming to other lessons there. if interested, I highly recommend the QMA for learning music.
