I came into East-West Music Studio, in hope to be enlightened with a rigorous and hospitable music school in Queens, NY. After countless number of days searching for the right school, I feel that East-West Music Studio is the right match for me. Here, everyday I am greeted by teachers and the Boss of the place. I am exposed to a music school environment much different than that I have ever been. I came to his school in February of last year, in hope to learn to play the violin. The teacher I was assigned to commits himself to the well-being and nature of the student, by providing helpful advice to cope with violin standards. He also has engaged a little bit of music theory into his lessons-- every week I learn something new based on music and new violin tactics. I am very pleased with the overall academic commitment to the students. Although this school is exceptional, I am a little bit irate about the prices--to perform in a concert in their Ames Concert Hall, I have to pay 25 dollars for admission. To the school, I would suggest putting their students and learning environment in front of their prices. Putting the students in front of prices will give East-West Music Studio its extra push into the better future. read more

East-West Music School has held some of the most valuable experiences of my life. I began playing piano about 6 years ago. When I started, I knew nothing, but now, I've learned so much just from one school. I also started taking violin lessons and I enjoyed it as much as i did learning piano. My teacher has always helped me to improve. Also, she encourages me and gives me advice, even if the piece seems almost impossible for my level. She brings a warm welcome to every lesson and always is ready to teach to the best of her abilities. Although it's a lot of fun, I still learn a significant amount every lesson. Exams might seem difficult, put I have passed every one of them, and this school contributed greatly to the results. Concerts are always amazing, viewing what students have done throughout the past few months. Even the younger kids participate and they put on a great show, acknowledging their age. I sent my two kids to East-West music school. I've been watching them growed from a studio to now a beautiful, well-established school. The school facility is charming with the design of famous composers pictures in every lesson room. And my kids are so happy to see their own pictures from their performance framed on the wall. We feel like a family here. Faculty and the administrator are all very friendly and professional. My son's violin teacher is a very creative person. Not only the Suzuki book pieces, he even taught my son "Gangnam" music (of course, my son asked for it) He has lots of fun in music lesson. My daughter had a PERFECT score at her piano NYSSMA exam, and now she is preparing for next level. The student recital is the highlight! Last year, all student dressed up for halloween concert at the newly renovated concert hall. The children played very well, even those who are very young, like 5 years old. My son has been taking piano lessons at this school for over a year. He also just recently started violin. I cannot say enough good things about this school. After 6 months of lessons I noticed improvements in my son's grades and concentration. He has made friends with other kids at the school and looks forward to his lessons (especially when he has practiced.) His teachers have been wonderful, patient, warm but also pushing him just enough so that he is constantly improving. I have recommended East-West Music Studio to my sister-in-law and friends - some have also signed up. My sister started her first piano class here. Times flies, it has been already four years now. The teachers are all very nice and friendly. They have all well prepared the students for the ABRSM exam, and the passing rate is always 100%. My sister passed each piano level with a distinction mark. The schedules for the piano classes are also very flexible, the teachers always try their best to take my working schedule into consideration. She also loves here very much. We will continue her piano classes here for another few years. Also, they have concerts periodically that shows every students' great performances to their parents. My son has been learning violin in this school for almost 4 years since 4th grade. This is an EXCELLENT music school with very passionate, awesome and professional teachers. There are classes for different instruments and various level: beginners, intermediate & advanced students. We highly recommend this school for those who want to explore their musical side or gain more knowledge on their musical knowledge, especially for kids as music has many positive effects on a child. I've been in this music school for 3 years now and having piano lesson weekly. I enjoy learning piano and this school helped me improved my piano skills. My piano teacher also helped my to improve my piano skill so much. Also taught me ways to learn a music better and faster. I'm going to level 6 right now for ABRSM exam. I started learning piano here in 2012 and still learning to this day. The teachers and staff working here are very friendly and do an extremely good job at teaching. I've passed up to grade 5 in ABRSM piano and theory because of my lessons here. The school environment itself is also welcoming while we have lessons in a private small room with only me and my teacher. This boosts the amount of learning students recieve every lesson and really helps every individual student improve based on their own needs. I have been with East-West Music Studio for 8 years and I have loved every single moment of it. The teachers are all wonderful, patient, and professional. I studied violin, viola, and piano and have improved immensely. I received perfect scores on NYSSMA from elementary to high school and was selected to be in the All-State Orchestra for two years in a row! East-West Music School is the best music school that i have experienced. I have been learning the instruments, violin and piano for about 5 years now. For both instruments i am on level 4. My teacher-Ms.Chen is so nice. She is my teacher for both violin and piano. I am so lucky to have her as a teacher. I thank her for helping me pass all my exams. I love preforming in the East-West Music school concerts. This year i will be preforming the song Fur Elise on piano and Concerto in A minor, Op. 3, No. 6, 1st Mvt. I personally have been with East-West for almost 10 years, i have passed the Level 8 ABRSM exam which is the highest level for piano and soon going to take the next. My child is learning piano since May 2014. His teacher is always friendly and my child loves to go for his lesson. His teacher knows his strength as well as his weakness and she is very good in making him more confident. Most importantly other members of the school also very friendly and encouraging the kids which i am witnessing every week. The concerts which the school conducts to encourage the students is awesome. We've come here for close to 7 years now. This is the best school we've had. Even though we moved to Long Island (the commute is 30 mins without traffic!) We still come back once a week for piano classes (because of Mr. Sergiy, he's the best!) for my 3 kids and One of them just started violin. The teachers are nice and caring. I've been studying at this school for over two years for piano. The school is very interactive with its students, it offers a chamber music program where students with different instruments learn to play the song. This is a very important skill: learning to work together, this holds true in both music and life. My only complaint would be that it's sometimes hard to find parking. read more
