Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. A gem. The store contains a surprising amount of musical accessories and music. It's a great resource.

I took a few voice lessons with Jonathan to improve my speaking and singing voice. I discovered…read morethat my real voice was much lower than what I was used to. To my surprise, many people have complimented my speaking voice since then. I considered the lessons as masterclasses as they were unconventional but extremely effective. Highly recommend!

Inside Voice and Jonathan's teaching is such a gift in my life and work. I have no musical training…read moreand beyond singing, mostly silently, to my favorite songs, I never previously used my voice to make music. I spend a lot of time avoiding my creative expression, despite knowing I wanted more of it in my life. When I finally stepped out and gave myself to my desire for more expression, I wanted to both learn more about my voice and how it's shaped by my inner life. Inside Voice fit the bill from my first lesson. Jonathan met me and my voice right where it was with care, while clearly sitting in his knowledge and expertise. Over the course of my time at Inside Voice, I have been guided both clearly, with playfulness and almost magical intuition into a fuller understanding and expression of voice. I see now how my voice can reflect and inform who I am and the range of expression I can sing into the world! What a pleasure to experience Jonathan's work and learn how to bring it to more and more of my creative life. I've gained the confidence to go further in my creative expression in my voice practice, but also in my whole life. I am so excited to explore the creative, imaginative and expressive worlds this work continues to open in me. It is such good medicine in my life. Grazie mille Jonathan Stancato and Inside voice!

Magic Piano Movers - Yamaha grand Piano moving from upper Manhattan to Jackson Heights NY in Queens.

I needed to move a grand piano from Westchester to Queens. I contacted this company and was given…read morean estimate which seemed reasonable. There is also an extra 3% surchage if you use a credit card. There were no long, twisting stairwells to navigate (which I believe increases the cost), so a relatively straight-forward move. The company was very responsive via email with answers to my questions (usually within a day) and we booked a date. It snowed the day before the move, but the movers showed up on time, were very professional, and the move went very smoothly. I did not notice any issues upon delivery. I have a Dampp Chaser system attached to the bottom of the piano to help regulate the humidity around the sound board. About 1 week after delivery, I noticed that one of the bars from the Dampp Chaser was on the floor hanging from its power cable. It turns out that two clamps that hold the bar in place were broken, and the bar eventually fell (I think from general vibrations from playing the piano). I suppose maybe this could have been from just general wear, but the timing with the move was just a little odd, and it was two clips, not just one. I contacted the company via email (using the same e-mail address that I had used previously) with photos of the problem and received absolutely no reponse. Eventually, it was a pretty simple, inexpensive repair, but I was a little disappointed in their lack of response (which is why I took off a star), and just wonder what would have happened if we were dealing with a bigger problem. I'm not going to pass judgement, I was otherwise happy with the move, but you can read about the interaction and decide for yourself how important this is if you chose to use this company. Update: So the company did reach to me, took responsibility for the damage, and offered to make it right. At this point, I did not take them up on their offer since it turned out to be a relative easy and inexpensive repair, but I just wanted to acknowledge their follow-up.

The "magic" in the name is absolutely true! They managed to maneuver a Steinway studio upright…read more(approx. 600 lb) around a hairpin turn as they carried it down the stairs, turned it within a narrow hall as they headed toward the door, and eased it down some more stairs to reach their truck. It was astonishing. The three gentlemen who did the move could not have been more courteous and patient, as were the folks who I spoke with on the phone as I set up the appointment. Five stars isn't enough!!!
