It's been that way for roughly 20 years...even before REVO started as a spin-off from "Software & More" there in Holliday. The PC consultant there from Software & More, Jerry, who helped build us our first custom desktop back in the early 2000s started his own company in Cottonwood Heights called REVO Technologies when S&M went out of business. We purchased our second gaming/workstation "Stryker" desktop from him eight years ago...AND a 17" "Falcon" gaming desktop as well for my personal use. Despite a few glitches/bugs here and there, both of these last two PCs have been performing admirably...as we've continued to patronize REVO for upgrades, repair, and tuning. The most recent purchase last week was for my wife's "Stryker" desktop which needed some Win10 tweaks due to some mistakes I made last spring with User Account Control and administrative privileges... oops. I dropped the desktop off with Chris - the repair tech - on Monday last week and by late afternoon he had it finished, updated, cleaned, and working like a top! I paid for the diagnostics/repair ($70) and the tuning/cleaning service ($70) which eliminated all of the nasty dust that had collected on the inside of the tower case. Yuk...but money well spent! We got it back home and the new Canon MF753Cdw color Laserjet All-in-One printer drivers installed perfectly. My wife is back in business! Woo-hoo. As in the past, excellent service from Jerry, Chris, and the pros at REVO. Well done, and again Five Stars for responsive and accurate service.

I have 2 pets who shed a lot of hair, so we've gotten our fans cleaned multiple times. The other day someone actually asked me if I was using a brand new computer after the fans/ keyboard/screen was cleaned at Computech. Service is always super fast and thorough. I don't know anything about computers, including my own laptop and these guys will never make you feel silly (As a woman, going into other tech shops, this is a common issue for me). Earlier this year, when my boyfriend was getting his computer "checked up", the tech noticed signs that the fans were close to dying - Computech got into contact with us and offered to order and install the fans. They were extremely transparent about the cost of the fans and labor, making it clear that they were providing service at an extremely reasonable price. We will go back to these guys time and time again because of their friendly, fast, and well priced services.

You can't go to Best Buy and say "I want this particular case, this power supply, this hard drive, this processor, this mother board, and I want you to install the processor on mother board and I'll put the rest together myself. Messick is very accommodating this way. You can customize to your specific needs / wants. You get personalized service AND product in a way you can't get from a chain store. My oldest computer from Messick still in operation finally "bit the dust" a couple months ago and it was the one we used the most for internet browsing and email so it got very heavy use through the years, and it lasted about 12 years! Messick was very helpful in providing a replacement for us that had exactly what I wanted in my price range. I didn't want a brand new unit, just one to get us by for awhile so he put together a dual core AMD w/ 500MB hard drive, 2 Gig ram, with a gaming grade video card and DVD light scribe burner. He also put in a new power supply in the tower to make sure there'd be no problems with that going out. I also told him I wanted XP SP3 op system since I'm still not comfortable w/ Win7 yet. The new unit really works great! The only downside was that it took him a few days putting this all together, but he usually runs the operation alone, and works long hours because he does have a loyal customer base, so he sometimes is a little backed up. I know alot of that was because I gave him certain parameters to go by including a limited price range and that can also slow things down a bit considering component compatibility issues that come into play. But he even called me each day through the process of putting this unit together for me to keep me posted of his progress and/or to confirm with me my preferences with any changes as needed. So he may not always be able to help you with what you need as fast as you may want or need it, but he'll be straight with you up front on the approximate time frame. I knew ahead of time it wasn't going to happen overnight. He even let me pick up the unit after hours, over 2 hours after he was closed as I was busy working that day. Where else can you do that? He also gives very helpful advise and doesn't make you feel put out if you call him with a question. Feel free to call me if you want to know more.
