Unity Park - Baseball Fields Near Me - Highland Village, Texas

I've been out there a couple times with my kids. I joined a group of friends so our kids could enjoy the Kid Kastle playground. This morning we went perch fishing at the park. There's also a dog park that I don't know a lot of information about as I don't have a dog. ;) There's plenty of baseball diamonds and soccer fields. The park has an outdoor workout area with a lot of nice equipment and walking trails. It's a great treasure to the residents and visitors. The Kid Kastle area is great for those of us with special needs kids or little ones who like to wonder off. There's only one entrance/exit with plenty of seats near it so while we must watch our kids we can give them a little more freedom than at a park without a good fence. The structure is well kept and safe. The city keeps the ponds well stocked with various fish. We took the kids fishing for the first time and caught 2 perch and 1 bass in the span of about an hour early in the morning. Several people recommend late in the evening. Just keep in mind the hours visitors are allowed in the park as they generally close from dusk to dawn. The little fishing pier appears pretty new and is in great shape with rails all the way around it. A fellow visitor caught a couple VERY large catfish using hot dog bait. :) I'm very appreciative for all the hard work and effort the city puts into maintaining such wonderful places for families to spend free time at and enjoy. read more

We came to this park for a World Series baseball tournament. The park is right next to Briarhill Middle School, and shares a parking lot with the school. Unity Park contains five softball/baseball fields and four batting cages. This was perfect for all the teams to warm up. It was a beautiful day so I decided to take a walk while my team warmed up. There are four tennis courts with lights, two tennis backboards, a restroom/concession building, eight soccer fields, hike & bike trails, a small pond with fishing pier, four practice soccer fields, a picnic pavilion and Kid's Kastle playground structure. They need to monitor people allowing their dogs to poop everywhere and not clean up after them. I am a highland village resident and have been visiting since it opened and has always been clean. Now giant mounds everywhere. Kind of sad. read more

The baseball parks are hidden in the back behind the high School. The concessions stands didn't have any food and were slow. Also they said you couldn't play music which is crazy, something that it bounces off the field into the near by houses? The fields are nice with good cover. read more

Great park with a little bit of everything - a wonderful dog park (2 of them fenced off by dog weight), large playground for kids, smaller playground for younger kids, sports fields, small bike/walking path, and a pond with ducks. Only downfall is the limited parking. read more
