Eddie saved the day! I have an old rusted classic truck that had been sitting for a year. The rear wheels were locked due to a damaged differential. I got a warning from my HOA to move the truck or face fines, so of course this was financially stressful. I like the truck too much to let it go. A mechanic referred me Eddie so I called him up for an average quote. Eddie was polite and professional. I knew that he could not quote over the phone, it was unreasonable for me to ask that. Yet, he did give me more or less some figure based on what I was describing. He warned that if it was worse he'd call me right away. Soon after I towed the truck to the Unitrax and got it delivered. Eddie kept his word and called me within a week with an assessment of the issue and a quote. He explained in detail what was wrong and looked for the most reasonable price in pars based on the year of the car. He salvaged most of the parts so I knew he was not trying to make a quick buck. The facts that many shops would not take my truck makes me feel so appreciative that Eddie was not afraid to take on the job. Many shops turned me down saying it was too hard of a job since the truck is 50 years old and others complained about the space it would take to house such a monster long bed. Eddie was brave. The guys at the shop deserve props too! The truck runs like new. Eddie noticed additional Issues and gave feedback as to where I can get these leaks addressed. I had and accident 2 years ago and had Unitrax replace axel assembly n my Lexus lx450, As a shop owner and prior service writer for Caliber collision had been using Unitrax for over 20 years. They have always been professional and provided great service. I was hit by some meth head in oct 2016 and after reconciling with ins company had my reliable vendor Unitrax replace and reseal axle in January 2017. The Landcruiser is my 5th vehicle so dont do alot of miles. After about 6-8 months noticed steering wheel slightly crooked but still drove straight so didn't think much of it. Recently moved to Utah so started to drive more and started to notice more of a crooked steering wheel but still driving straight. Then noticed new seal replaced leaking right side. Took by local shop to get estimate to reseal. They gave me a quote few days later and was going to drop on my way out of town. Next day pulled out onto road and steering wheel went completely upside down, heard a pop and vehicle stopped immediately. Exited vehicle to find rt side trailing arm to steering linkage on ground. Reached underneath and found 2 bolts missing and 2 sheared off into housing. I have been in the industry for over 30 years and pretty much knew the bolts on axle housing that I had them replaced weren't properly tightened (torqued) confirmed the other two sheared bolts came out easily, not stripped and no loc-tite. As a shop owner I also know we all make mistakes. I called Unitrax and advised of the situation hoping they would step up and stand behind their work? Couldn't bring back to Unitrax as they were over 500 miles away so had local shop repair and sent copy of invoice to unitrax with shop number to confirm bolts missing no loc-tite in axle housing. After almost 2 weeks no answer so called and was told basically go pound sand? They claimed I abused the vehicle without inspection. So I guess for almost 20 years and 200k mi never had bolts fall out of the axle but after aprox 4500 miles the bolts fall out from abuse? I told them... hey it's ok I can eat the $700 dollars no biggie? Its your business you can do what you think is right? But I will also do what I think is right? As a shop owner there have been times we needed to step up because we made a mistake. Ethics means doing right by your customers because its right. They didn't want to do what was right and I thought that their future customers as well as their old loyal customers like me should know how they stand by their work. It's pretty sad when a customer goes to have work done to spend some good hard cash and they are treated as the company is doing them favor, Just in the door some short rude guy with a mustache got bend out of shape because I came in the FRONT DOOR, his piss poor attitude did not get any better. I went there because originally I was quoted $800 to rebuild the Axle in my ford. this guy got it to $1200 and still wasn't done. This place works on differentials and also install transfer flow auxilary fuel tanks. After calling various shops i gave this place a call. I spoke to jerry who took the time to answer my questions in regards to an auxilary fuel tank for my 2017 silverado 2500hd. He earned my business unlike other shops that left me feeling uneasy and unsure with this product. Jerry reassured me i was making the right decision going with transfer flow. Day of the install they had my truck a full day, upon receiving my truck I inspected their work. The wires were tucked neatly the hardware (tank and fuel guage) were secured to manufacturer specs. As of this day the auxilary fuel take works flawlessly. They may not be the cheapest but they do quality work. read more

Took the plunge last summer to upgrade my 2003 F350 V10 4x4 crew cab. Had these guys install 4.30 gearing and Detroit TrueTrac differentials. I had a lower priced quote but Jerry was the only one who took the time to go into details, both on the phone and when I brought the vehicle in. I found him more approachable than others I had talked to and appreciated that he wanted to tell me about the work he was going to do as much as I wanted to hear about it. The work was done on schedule and as promised, and the only surprise was they were even able to bring the final price in below the original estimate. Truck has been all over since, towing trailers in California and driving backroads and in the snow in Utah. The additional capabilities now available have already proved to be quite useful. I brought my 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 for a rear differential service on Sept 13,2016. My differential was making a loud grinding noise when I drove it. It almost sounded like stone grinding. I brought it in to a shop in my area and they referred me to Unitrax. When I brought in to Unitrax a gentleman named Edie quickly greeted me at the counter. I told him of my problem. They called their tech to go out for a test drive with me. After the test drive I left my truck there. They called in the morning and explained the details of what I needed done. I gave them a go. The next day I was just about to call them if they are going to need my truck over the weekend because it was Friday and I can plan other transpiration arrangement the weekend. Instead, they called me first, that my truck is ready for pick up. I was happy and took the bus from my work to the shop. When I got there I did all the paper work and transaction. They explained the details about my differential break-in period and showed me my old parts. They were friendly and very helpful. I drove my truck home and it was super quiet.
