Great company. I have done multiple projects with them, and referred Unitherm to my neighbors.

We had a very poor experience with another company when researching windows and installation and…read morewere a bit cynical of contacting another business. However, the process of obtaining a quote was indeed as easy as Zen Windows website makes it out to be; check out their website and watch the videos. I completed their form with the number of windows, approximate size and the requirement that the windows must meet a minimum efficiency. A reply was quick and thorough and above all easily understood and answers to questions were immediate. Dennis provided all the information needed should a permit have been required. Once accepted, Kevin came out within a few days to take specific measurements needed for ordering the windows. Within just over a month, we received a call asking if the installation could take place within 48 hours as they had an opening. Ed, Jimmy and Daryl were the installation crew who arrived promptly and you could not ask for a more conscientious and professional team. They seemed to get along and worked well with each other. Care was taken to protect floors and carpet, the installation and operation of the windows was explained, and clean up was meticulous. I had planned to shampoo my carpets after they were finished and Daryl did such a good job of cleaning up the floors I did not have to vacuum first! We had 6 windows replaced and opted for the Endure EN600 series double hung, Energy Star Certified windows. These windows were installed on a warm day in rooms that get the afternoon sun and it was immediately apparent that the sun gain was much lower than the previous windows. The wind is gusting today and there are no drafts! The total cost was a bit above some of the other estimates but after our previous experiences as well as the ease of the ordering process, the personable and professional installers- much less the quality of the windows- it has been well worth it.

Their seasoned installers were very professional, prompt, and respectful of our home. They worked hard to replace our entire two story home in one day before bad weather was supposed to hit the next day. We feel like we got a great product that will last for many decades which also has a great warranty. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting the best customer service and no pressure sales with a great buying experience.

Woohoo! As good as it gets!, is right…read more I had been putting off replacing the windows on my sunporch for years. I kept putting it off, until recently. In the past, I hadn't really utilized the room that much, it was just a room I crossed through when I entered and exited the back of the house. Now, I created an entertainment room and needed to improve the windows. I had spoken to Renewal by Andersen at a craft beer event and kept their information on hand. They did call me a couple of times, since the event and didn't mind when I'd ask them to call back in a couple months. When they followed up the last time, I was ready and meet with one of their salespeople. The sales pitch was professional, informative and low-key, no high pressure. I was sold. The next step in the process was a tech coming out and getting very accurate measurements, since all windows are custom made. Again, this step in the process was professional and took minimal time. Six weeks later, my windows were ready to be installed. They were very accommodating working with my work schedule and coming on my day off during the week, so I didn't have to waste a personal or vacation day to get my new windows installed. My installer was scheduled to arrive at 8 AM, he pulled up 5 minutes early - nice. I like it when a repair/service person is on time. I meet the installer out front and walked him to the back entrance of my home, where the sunporch is located. I went on about my business doing errands within the house, keeping the dogs quiet and I even wrote a couple Yelp reviews. Periodically I'd come back to watch his progress and chat about the job. As I watched, I was impressed with the attention to details and how meticulous he worked. When he was done and I walked into the room for the first time, I knew I made the right decision. I immediately could hear the difference in acoustics and feel the difference in temperature. Not to mention the aesthetics of the room. It was a good investment, that I now wish I would have done it earlier. Would I use them again? Yes. As I replace additional windows in my house, they'll be Renewal By Andersen. Before the window looked rather shabby and after it was almost thing of beauty. Value: 2 stars, initially; 4 stars now. I experienced sticker shock. But now I think it was worth the money for restoring the old window. For repairing aluminum storm windows and screens, I recommend Southside Hardware.

This review will touch on several aspects of my experience there:…read moreWhen I entered the store, there was one woman at her desk behind the counter. She got up and I explained to her what I needed: All I needed was a small pane of glass, 4 x 13 inches. I had brought a sample glass, which I asked them to replicate, but!!! to just make the new one 1/8 " slimmer than the original, along the 13 inch side. After I had told her all of that, she said that she was not the one who needed to know, but that she needed to call a technician from the back. However, before she could do that, I needed to pay: $ 9.72 for the little pane of glass...OK, no problem... I need it! I tended her my credit card. She refused it, saying they only take cash under 20 $. Well, my car was parked a little stretch away, since they don't have a parking lot. I said to her that while I was getting the cash from my car, she could maybe have them cut the glass, to save time?? NO, not possible. First pay, then service... was her answer. I walked out to get my purse, returned and paid in cash. Then she called a technician from the back. The elderly employee took notes on a pad, of what I wanted, then proceeded to the back of the place, where they manufacture the orders. The female employee pointed me to the exit door and told me to go to the side of the building where there is another door, and this is where they would hand me the new glass pane. So I am standing outside, in the sweltering heat (100 F that day!)... with the brick wall and the sidewalk reflecting the heat at me, no shade tree... and sweating, waiting... after about 15 minutes, I got my glass pane. I checked it and it was exactly the size of the original, not 1/8" narrower! Return inside, explain what's wrong... repeat of the first part... waiting... another technician comes back and hands me the new pane: it is 1/8" shorter now, not 1/8" narrower! Reclamation on my part. They go back and do it again....now the new version is 1/8" shorter AND 1/8" narrower.... somebody help me!!! Next round and finally, I get the correct size pane. At that point, I could not refrain from making a comment to the front employee about how this experience was anything but customer friendly to me. She took offense at that! No "sorry" no nothing! I will make sure to never even accidentally step into that store again. There is another glass cutting store about 2 blocks further down. I'll go there next time.

1 star review I…read morewish I had read more reviews before doing business with Viviano Windows & Doors. I purchased a storm door and storm window from Viviano and unfortunately had an anwful experience from both a quality and customer service standpoint. The storm door and the storm window came for delivery on the same day. The storm window was unable to be installed as it did not fit (note, two different people came out to measure after I paid my deposit). They were able to install the storm door and the storm window was remeasured and reordered. After the storm door was installed, I had concerns about the door and its installation so I reached out to their main office phone number and spoke with the office manager. A few hours later I received an abrupt text from an unknown number. It was the owner of the company. Rather than working with me to address the issues, the owner became increasingly defensive and dismissive. In this exchange I explicitly told him that I still wanted the storm window and that my concerns were with the storm door only. His response was that he was the owner, he was making the decision, and the decision was final. He refused to install the storm window and instead offered a full refund only if he could return to my home and remove the storm door the very next day. At that point, I accepted the refund because I did not want to be left without my deposit. However, the way this was handled left my entryway looking like the home been broken to and in a condition that was extremely disappointing, as shown in the attached photo. In this case, rather than trying to find a reasonable solution, the owner repeatedly emphasized that they install "thousands" of these doors and had not had complaints, and ultimately chose to terminate the rest of the project rather than address my concerns. I was never asking for anything unreasonable. I wanted the door issues addressed, and I wanted the storm window I had ordered and been waiting for. I was very much willing to pay for it. Unfortunately, my experience with Viviano was that once I expressed dissatisfaction, the conversation became adversarial rather than focused on finding a solution. The communication was unprofessional, the situation was handled poorly, and I was left extremely appalled with the overall experience. Lastly, from my deep dive reading all reviews, I know the owner will respond rudely. I am including the messages he sent me to make it clear this is not someone you should do business with. Thank you.
