Clear Window Technology replaced the glass in our custom wood patio door. Another glass company told us that it was impossible without breaking the door frame. Two other door companies gave us ridiculously high quotes to replace the whole custom door. Dennis & Carlos were very professional, timely, and experienced. Updated Review, 7/5/2021 Another great install by Clear Window Technology! Clear Window Technology has installed four sliding glass doors and three exterior patio doors in two homes for us. All were installed incredibly well, by a great team... and are doors Made in USA, AND also Made in Missouri ! We highly recommend Clear Windows Technology! We also recommend having Clear Window Technology install for you doors from Target Windows & Doors, who are located in Vandalia, Missouri, which is near Mexico and Hannibal. The sliding glass doors are the Elite 4000 sliding glass door, with blinds installed between the panes - the blinds rise and fall by one slider, and tilt open/closed by another slider... on the stationary side and on the sliding door.  Dennis at Clear Window said this was the best door he offered and we agree it is great! The door slides so smoothly; the frame and door and locks are all solid. They even installed a foot lock that lets you prop the door open a few inches, to let in some air, while preventing it from moving until your toe taps to unlock the door. The three patio doors are hinged doors, and were installed with new wooden frames, to replace the original frame that had some wood rot. Clear Window Technology did a great job pre-sales, and for install, and the doors look great - nice and new and sleek and clean! Thank you, Dennis, Tracey!!! Our son also said - "This is a reallllly nice door!"  And he's right! Where do i even begin? Wish i could rate this company lower than a one but i can't so i want to save anyone else that EVEN considers this company some of the pain of doing business with this ship-shod operation. In a nutshell, no customer service, didn't show up during scheduled time and no call to inform me or reschedule ; i had to call numerous times, answering service does not have a clue what is scheduled or what is going on...etc etc... VERY rude, very unprofessional, owners' wife mouths off in the background of my very frustrated business call(s) (!) They are full of ridiculous excuses, a complete waste of time. I can not say enough about this company and the owners. We had windows and a sliding door installed a year ago. I had an issue with one of the windows (which, as it turned out, was my fault!) and the response was lightening speed. Dennis was literally at my house within a hour, showed me how to fix the problem should it happen again . Now that right there is incredible customer service. Very dishonest company. Had a broken thermal seal on a window in a condo I was about to sell, and received their name from the condo board as being a reputable vendor. Dennis came out, inspected the window, and gave the bid. A whopping 4 weeks after Dennis promised installation (he knew we were waiting for the installation to list the property), they finally came out to repair the window after calling and harassing him numerous times. $1000 and 2 month wait- thermal seal was finally fixed but then the window wouldn't open?! His explanation: "The casement around the window is rotted- not our issue". It opened before you showed up today to "repair" it, but now it is broken?! Again- his response: "Your issue not mine." I was proactively dealing with the broken seal so It wouldn't affect the listing. I can't sell a property with a broken window that THEY BROKE?! As a window professional, he should have said "Ma'am- you really need a new window instead"?! I truly found that out when I had a second company out to replace the now BROKEN window and it was the SAME PRICE as Clear Window Technology's botch repair?! Irritating. My dealing with Clear Window Technology was a waste of time and money, and caused a ridiculous amount of stress with ZERO responsibility taken by them. Dennis disappeared after my debacle and never followed up. I just cut my losses, had another company replace the window, and reported them to the condo board so they would NEVER refer them again. I had DENNIS come out and give me a bid for a foggy window and a broken sash on another. About six weeks later, because we went on vacation, Cliff & Law came out with the new glass for the window. It was installed very well with the mess cleaned up after. Then the fixed the sash in my other window, which was not as easy as I was told. They had to remove my shutters and moldings, which took a little longer then they thought. They were both great. Did a really great job on both jobs. Will definitely will use Clear Window again and highly recommend them. Barbara read more

Clear Window Technology installed 15 double hung windows and a sliding glass (with fixed pane) patio door in my home in May, 2019 and I could not be more pleased. While I researched other companies, CWT was my pick for three reasons: a very competitive bid; a solid and thoughtful, but not pressured, presentation by the owner of the business, Dennis McHugh; and a very well-built product (the Elite Series) manufactured by Target Windows and Doors here in Missouri. Installation went very smoothly. I was especially impressed by the lead installer, Cliff, whose skill, patience and attention to detail were evident. Now that I have lived with these windows and door for two months, I am very satisfied. All are sturdy and performing extremely well. I no longer hear outside noise to the same extent as before, and I have raised the ac temp level in my home by a few degrees with no loss of comfort (saving a few bucks in electric costs). One caveat: CWT is not a large mass retailer so installation of several windows may not be done in a day. But if you want a well-installed and quality product at a good price, you won't mind that at all. read more

I would not endorse this company. We selected Clear Window because they carry Anderson Doors. We bought a French patio door and had a scheduled install. I received a call about a week prior informing me that one of their install crews "up and left town" and could I reschedule. They initially wanted to push me out an entire month, but managed to fit me in the following week on a Wednesday. Weather did not cooperate on that day, so rescheduled for the following day at 9:30. No one showed up at 9:30 and I was unable to reach anyone by phone until 11:45 when I received a call back. Other reviews have noted that the owner's wife "talks back" and "mouths off". I would agree with this as she hung up on us after we voiced concerns about the lack of customer service. This was brought to the owners attention and his excuse was "she's new to the customer service business". Highly doubt it if this issue has come up before. Install was completed the following day but not too our satisfaction. After they left, we noticed that we could fit our entire fingers behind the wood molding around the door as it was not flush with the wall. We contacted the owner who came out the next day and stated there "was nothing they could do" and it was OUR wall that was the issue. Since we didn't have this problem with our other door, I would venture to disagree with that. Nonetheless, my husband fixed it. So we paid them over $7000 for what? Stay away from this company! read more

First the Address is a UPS store and the STE number just a box at the UPS store. On September 12, 2017 Cliff and Carlos came out to replace two 21x 31 windows in our kitchen for the cost of $535. After installation was complete I gave them a check for the balance, but then my wife noticed the glazing strip had been broken and glued to the window. They promised in writing they would fix it free, they said they would be back in 2 or 3 days. After many calls and emails to them and the BBB and a request for arbitration they replaced the part, on 25 October 2017. Carlos pounded on the window in an attempt to replace the glazing, but finally cut the part smaller to get it in. On January 17, 2018 the window cracked from the top down to the middle. The refused to replace it, saying they only covered it for 30 days, so we went to arbitration with BBB and won, half of the total cost. When another company came and replaced the window, the installer said, in his opinion the window glass had been chipped at the top when installed. As part of the arbitration we were to return the window to the address shown on the website only to find it was a UPS store and no one would accept it or call the company to come and get it. We had emailed them twice letting them know we were going to return it, but no one replied. read more
