A week ago, I contacted this office and had a discussion with Sophie/Sophia who said they dont treat children for occ. Therapy. Then after asking me a few questions said that they could do a consult assessment and offered me appt slots on a holiday. Thinking she changed her answer when discussing the other location..... This was great because I would not have to take off work because they had openings soon on a holiday...! She advised me though that because my referal was for casa colina, that my son's pediatrician would have to send over a perspiration with what services I needed to see "if corperate" would see him. Ok great, so I had the office do this perscription, which took a few days. I then followed up with Sophie on Monday and she stated my request to have son treated was with corporate which is why she had not called me. 2 more days go by and now its been over a week since she said they would treat him, and no call from her. She acted like she was on top of everything on Monday and if it went to corperate she had the dr. Prescription she asked for....lies. So I followed up today and she had amnesia and did not remember my name or my son's name...and now the holiday is here and I wasted 2 weeks of my son's time screwing around with her nonsense. She says I dont have anything from your son's doctor. Then im like yes you do...they sent it and you said on Monday it went to corporate and that's why you had not called back because you were waiting on a response.. so after I called her out, she asked for the doctor's number ...which she had already read off to me on this call....and who I spoke to at son's pediatrician....gave her that. Calls me back to say...we cant do this, your son is only 8. We have two offices but neither take kids. Omg.... I dont know if she is "limited" or slammed but she postponed me calling around when she could not think through my initial call and kept contradicting herself. That was cruel and meanwhile im at work arranging this new prescription jumping thru hoops she asked me to do...following up with his pediatrician to ensure they did it. She told me wrong...did not listen ...acted like she knew which patient she was talking to, gave misinformation on the referral again then called again today after I followed up to tell me what she should have, from the get go, before she started booking us this time slot. Seriously, the office needs to take head to their reviews because this lady seems like she has some type of difficulties. You are sticking it to your patients who are in need. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL And UNNECESSARY!!! I arrived for my appointment and was waiting patiently to sign my name in as there was a woman at the counter where the sign in sheet was and I COULD NOT SIGN IN. I was following instructions per the Office and standing on the decal on the floor until I could sign in. Per HIPP laws I did not want to interrupt their conversation. I had NO IDEA what they were discussing!! I was doing this out of respect for the other patient. The next thing I know the other scheduling girl called me upfront. I have been to two different physical therapy clinics, and in my opinion, UNITED THERAPY NETWORK has been the best so far. Once you step in, you can feel their warmth and welcoming ambiance. It's a very clean and orderly environment. Everyone greets you with a smile , calling you by name. Physical therapy is more enjoyable knowing your therapist is genuinely concerned about your well being. Big shout out to my "3 T's" - Tamara, Tyler, and Tanya. They invariably go "above and beyond". If I could give this place a 0 star rating, believe me I would. Like other people below have mentioned, this place NEVER, but literally NEVER answers their phone, so you are only left with leaving a voice message. It took me 2 weeks to book my dad's evaluation appointment. After my dad had his evaluation completed in the 1st week of July 2022 , the staff said they needed to request therapy sessions from the insurance and that they would give me a call once the sessions were approved. 2.5 weeks go by and I hadn't received a call, so I started leaving voicemails on a weekly basis. Finally on Aug 15, 2022 Bernadette calls & leaves me a voice message. I return her call within 5 mins, but once again, I left a voicemail. Today, I finally got fed up and went to the office. I  got the opportunity to talk to Bernadette all for her to tell me that there are no insurance approved therapy sessions for my dad because no one made a request to my dad's insurance. She had the audacity to tell me " I don't know. There must have been a mixed up. I'll put the request today and I'll have it in 48 hrs." I look at her in disbelief and tell her I've been leaving voicemails and I've only received 1 call back & wanted a reason what happened from the 1st week of July to now. She didn't even apologize or try to emphasize. Anyways, we will never go back. In conclusion, please go elsewhere to get treated! Called your primary care physician and let them know what are other locations in which you can get your therapy. It is truly not worth the wait or hassle. read more

Would definitely give it a 0 if I could. To be honest I did not get to try out the place. Had such a hard time trying to get an appt. With them. Tried for 4 days straight, my provider sent me here so that's why I kept trying. Once I finally got an appt, I showed up early because I knew it was in a big building and I wouldn't know which office it was at. Got there and started to call them to see what floor and office and no one ever picks up the phone. Horrible experience immediately called my provider to switch me to a different physical therapist and to never suggest this spot to others. read more

LIFE CHANGING THERAPY! This is the best place to recover and in my case best place to learn how to walk again! Here is the breakdown of my ongoing experience with United Therapy Network: 1. On Jan 4, 2019 I completed broke my ankle in an accident which resulted in an emergency surgery leaving me with 10 pieces of Titanium holding my ankle and foot together for life! 2. I drive all the way from Pasadena to West Covina three times a week just for the amazing care and attention I receive here at United Therapy 3. I have had the pleasure of working first hand with the director of this Physcial therapy program, Dr. Bjorn, who has carefully curated a recovery plan that's both attentive to my specific needs and aggressive so that I may recover in the safest but fastest way possible 4. My main physical therapist who I work with on a daily basis is named Mike and he is awesome! He motivates me to push myself every day and that encouragement makes my recovery process less painful. Mike makes every minute I spend here helping me recover and attending to my needs making sure I'm taken care of. So he truly has become a part of my recovery process and that alone makes the long drive worth it! 5. The results of my time here completely speak for themselves. I started about a little over month ago when I was only able to use crutches to move around. Now, I enjoy the physical mobility of walking with my own two feet and with no limp. No crutches needed here, thank you! 6. Before I made the switch to this program, I worked with another physical therapy program in Pasadena minutes away from my home. However, on only my second session with them that their director laughed at me when I asked him if I would be able to walk again soon...(as I was very eager to recover during at a time when I was only able to move around on a knee scooter) Not only did he laugh at my question, but answered that I would be lucky if I could even stand straight as i was unable to do so without a horrible arch in my back and my knees bent. I am very happy to report that all the staff including the director of this program are completely professional and always encouraging! 7. This facility is small enough that I know every physical therapists name and they know mine. But, big enough for all of us patients are able to work in our own space. Last but not least, what makes this facility and program truly special is the people who work here that make the process of physical therapy that's understandably a painful and daunting experience bearable and actually enjoyable because the results are literally life changing! read more

What can I say? I have my son who is dying from cancer and I take him almost every day to chemotherapy, and many times causes me to run late at my therapy appointments. I got there on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 8:33 am, but my appointment was at 8:00 am. The receptionist asked me to sit down and since I was late he said they could not see me but, would see if I can go in by 9:00 am. I noticed that all the therapists in the back which is about 7 of them (great and good people) and only 2 patients were having their therapies going, and it got me thinking why can they see me if they have almost no patients? And I can see a therapist who can take me in...????? I waited for 45 minutes and, and I realized I was being punished for being late. I couldn't believe their unprofessional way to handle business so, I got up and I said I was leavening because I can see I won't be seen at all, the receptionist said "okay" I requested a change of venue before leaving as I would not take this kind of bad service when they have the people and I will not be seen. I could have seen you between 8:33 and 9:00 am but no like the receptionist said it's a policy ...I don't need them I can take my business somewhere else I said to myself. I felt he made you sit and wait until you get desperate and leave! which is what I did. Comes now today Monday, October 4, 2021, I have made appointments in another place but since I still had 3 appointments with them I went back to finish it. I got there at 8:15 am and decided to ask before experiencing the same from a few days ago if I would be seen. I did not want to wait again and mentioned I was upset from Friday for the treatment I received. He replied again "it's our policy" I was seen but I asked for the manager. Kim the manager was so unprofessional instead of taking me to her office to hear my complaint, she addressed me in the open where all the other employees and patients were taking their therapy sessions. She asked me what happened, and I told her what had happened, and she said I'm sorry I didn't know that happened. She kept avoiding my questions and all she can say was I'm sorry, I told her I was going to post feedback on Yelp, she didn't like it and she said do your feedback! Wow! ...wow! Great customer service at its best! Don't care what people's bad review has to say about United Therapy Network, This is United Therapy Manager? Well here it is then and I hope corporate doesn't see this negative feedback. I have about 8 more sessions of 26 and this was my second time at this place, I WILL NEVER BRING MY BUSINESS AGAIN TO THIS PLACE AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE DO NOT COME AND GO TO ANOTHER PLACE! I've been going here since they were at their old office and the people here are knowledgeable and very kind. They y take the time to know you by name and always make sure you aren't in any pain while doing your exercises. Never once has anyone been rude or unkind to me here. Been coming here for a bit over two months after my ACL reconstruction surgery. Bit of hassle getting my first appointment, but its been fine since then. I guess the policy is to squeeze me in for post-op appointments but there was some confusion so i did my evaluation in rancho cucamonga. Bjorn and his staff have been great. Very knowledgable and takes time to asses my progress and introduce new exercises as time goes on. Bjorn also goes into a good amount of detail to explain why certain exercises are good, bad, and lays out the plan for my rehab. My surgeon says my recovery is ahead of schedule and it feels great to be seeing the improvement over time. All of the assistants are patient and encouraging so its just a super positive environment to be exercising in. Mostly been working with Chris and he really helps keep the motivation up and work hard. Can't wait to get back into sports and it will be thanks to these guys and their care/guidance. read more

I was referred here after my knee surgery for physical therapy. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very encouraging the entire time. They took great care of me, taught me all the exercises so I can do them at home too, and always pushed me to do my best so I can recover quickly. The gym is small but has a lot of great new equipment for everyone to use. The staff is very knowledgeable and helps everyone learn about and use all the equipment safely and correctly. The receptionist at the front desk is very sweet and very helpful when it comes to booking appointments and dealing with insurance referrals. She makes it very easy for you. Only downfall is your co payments must be cash or check only. Although I still have quite a few months to go until I am fully recovered, I'm very grateful that United Therapy was so good to me! So I went here for a physical therapy session and I noticed some raggedy looking electrodes attached to the TENS machine. My intuition told me that this is not good but I just let it be. Later I did a quick Google search and discovered that electrodes should not be shared by anyone! Especially a bunch of strangers because apparently there is a real risk of contamination and transfer of disease! WTF guys...if I found this info online you guys have to be aware if this. That is a dirty, disgusting practice. Stop trying to maximize profits and change those dirty electrodes before you get people sick! Also noticed a drop of human blood on one of the therapy table pillows! Gross! Very uncool guys get it together. 2 stars because other than old electrodes and one bloody pillow the facility looks pretty clean and they have lots of PT workout equipment. I will update this post and give more stars based on my following appointments. If I get new electrodes without having to ask for them because I will ask next time. Their front office staff is horrible! Chaotic and unprofessional! I had made an appointment last month for my final evaluation. I arrived 10 minutes early as I normally do for all my appointments because I respect everyone's time. One of your front desk person informed me that my authorization for the visit hadn't been approved yet, which took me by surprise because the appointment was made back in April 26th! I asked when they submitted the request and she said May 25th, which was yesterday!!! They never called me to cancel the appointment. Then she acted like she did, but I never spoke to her or anybody else from UTN nor were there any messages. Strange how there are no incoming calls from UTN recorded/listed on my phone. The phone number is saved on my phone so any missed calls would've been recorded! I'm irate because it's one thing to mess up but then to try to cover it up by lying is so disrespectful. The fact is that the authorization wasn't submitted until the day before my appointment date when they had an entire month to do so, and no one called to let me know to cancel the appointment instead telling me to come back 3 days later? How unprofessional is that? I have to ask other people to leave work early in the middle of the day to drive me 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back, not to mention wasting gas with all that driving. It makes me so angry how little my time is respected. I feel completely disrespected as a client. This is the 2nd time something like this happened where they waited until the last minute to submit the authorization request and didn't call me to let me know to cancel the appointment! I am livid because now even if the authorization comes through, I have to rearrange my entire schedule and arrange another ride to get to the appointment all because their front desk staff messed up! I am so happy with the treatment i have received from United Therapy Network! The front office clerks are kind and willing to help. Bjorn is so cool and knows what he is talking about, as far as nutrition and treatment for my specific case. From there, the assistants in the workout area are all extremely nice, helpful and encouraging. When Bjorn has time, he makes his way around and oversees all patients. It was refreshing and I looked forward to all of my treatments. Bjorn personally helped me to refocus on my health and he put me on a diet in order to make not only my leg recover, but increase my health and strength over my entire body. My son Eric was in a horrific accident and has needed therapy for his knee, foot and leg. He has been coming to this office and from the second we had his consultation we knew this was the place. We met Kin and she is amazing. She made my son feel so comfortable and I felt like she knew exactly what He needed and felt so good knowing he would be doing Therapy with her. Kin has guided my son from day 1 and has gone above And beyond for him and she is truly the best! She really cares about her patients and we are so thankful for her. We made the decision To do therapy at the West Covina office because of Kin and we are so glad we did. My son has worked with other therapists also. The staff are the most caring, professional, and knowledgeable available. He has done therapy with Carlos, Frank, and Chris and they have all motivated my son and are constantly doing all they can do during his sessions and are so helpful. They are all consistent and this has helped my son so much with his recovery. Bjorn is also very caring and knowledgeable and available when we have had questions. He has literally stopped what he was doing when I had a question/s and I appreciate it so much. The front office has been helpful with insurance and appointments and they're always so nice! I've been going to this office since August, had back surgery in October & noticed a big difference in the office...they have a new Physical Therapist...Bjorn Gunnarsson, DPT. This is what I noticed right away. 1st) Bjorn's knowledge & skill level is a total game changer, & has greatly improved my recovery. He is friendly & approachable, very attentive, takes the time to really listen & is mindful of my needs, has good communication skills, & always keeps a presence in the gym. All hard to find in one therapist. 2nd) There are more aids to assist you in the gym. Always friendly & willing to help me. They are very supportive & encouraging during my sessions. 3rd) The front office staff has remained friendly & accommodating. 4th) At appointments I'm always greeted with warm friendly smiles in a casual but professional atmosphere & can count on being seen in a timely manner. I, myself, have worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years & know how offices should work. In my opinion, this group is wonderful! I will miss them when my recovery is complete. I just had my first appointment here today for chronic lower back pain, disc herniation, spinal stenosis etc... I believe the PT I saw was new grad. She was friendly and polite, but when reviewing the meds she asked how much Tylenol I take. I told her sometimes 3,000mg/day, which she said "wow, that's a lot." And I said "ya, it is, but I think that's within the normal daily limit, right?" And she said, "I'm not sure. I'd have to check." I had to go home and double check what it is (off label max is 4,000mg/day), but found it disheartening the PT doesn't know the daily max for Tylenol, something a lot of her patients are probably taking. In addition, I just had an MRI completed recently, but she did not ask about the results or inquire further when I brought it up. I found that confusing as other people I know with my same/related problems, other PT's usually like to take a look at imaging so they can better understand what the problem is. Also, had to ask for any home stretching she would recommend and she just gave me a paper and circled a couple stretches without showing me how to correctly do the stretches. Lastly, got super weird vibes/bad customer service from the gentleman at the front desk. I tried to make some minimal small talk, which was shot down and I was told to wait. Then after saying thank you for scheduling my next appointment, he said "you'rewelcomebye" super fast and dismissive. I wont read into the attitude too much, but it just negatively capped off an already disappointing experience. In conclusion, I'm not quite sure why I would come back to this clinic. I did not feel confident in the PTs knowledge and skills and was on the receiving end of some weird passive aggression from the dude at the front. I take my mother here for post stroke rehab. The bad office is dirty; rug, walls, chairs which is uninviting. The therapists there are nice except for a few who think they know more stuff out of their scope. Being in the medical field, I think they should stick to what they are trained for and keep their medical advice to themselves. Today was my first visit. The wait was long even though I was on time. The physical therapist waa great. His name is Bjorn(sorry if misspelled). He is very knowledgeable/friendly. The front desk staff didn't originally greet me but they seem to be friendly. However, the speech therapist is horrible. She treated the 12 yr old boy in her office with so much hostility. She was treating him like he were an idiot. The loud yelling coming from her office made me very angry. I told his mom that she was being very inappropriate with her child. You don't treat a child like that. This lady needs to be fired. Do not go to her for speech therapy. The next small child that came in for his appointment looked like he wanted nothing to do with her as he threw himself on floor screaming and crying. Please take your children yo someone with class and respect for your children. I'd never let her treat my child. read more
