I went in here to drop off a package the week before Christmas. My experience has been with larger post offices, usually in Houston; there, the lines have been long, not enough windows open, and the employees SOUR! Here in Kyle, there were three windows built out, and each one was staffed. Not only that, but the employees smiled and genuinely tried to help me. At one time an employee came out of the back and asked if anyone had a package to pick up. I regretted going to the post office, but afterwards I appreciated my experience. Luck of the draw, Jasmine was the front clerk who assisted me. I don't see how she could be so pleasant with the high volume of Christmas customers, but she was. What a great USPS representative! Both times I went in, the service was shockingly rude and unprofessional. It's clear the employees here have no interest in helping anyone. Even when I spoke kindly and respectfully, I was met with complete attitude and zero effort. The overall energy is just off the staff act like they don't want to be there I even overheard one staff member saying "I wouldn't be here if they weren't paying me", and they do the bare minimum. The building itself doesn't help either it's dark, dirty, and honestly feels neglected. Whoever took these photos they're completely outdated and misleading. Both visits, I was simply trying to return a small Amazon package (a foundation, nothing complicated). I don't have a printer or tape at home, so I politely asked for help, and was flat-out denied. I left, went out of my way to print the label elsewhere, and came back another day. A different employee helped me slightly, but still told me I had to buy tape and tape the box myself, then immediately started helping the next person mid-conversation. I left frustrated and unwelcome. For something as simple as a return, the process was painfully difficult. I didn't even get a receipt and wasn't sure if that was normal. It's unfortunate because the location is convenient, but the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy ruins it. I'll be driving farther out from now on for better service. Hopefully management sees this and does something about it this is easily the worst USPS experience I've had anywhere.

They were for a little girl's birthday, and it was the one thing she had been excited about. The employee working, Robert, locked the door and refused to take them, even though I was already there before closing and it would have taken just a moment. When I asked if a manager was available, he said there wasn't one. I understand everyone wants to go home at the end of the day, but sometimes a tiny act of kindness can mean a lot to someone else. The…read morecounter staff have always been pretty helpful with the tasks they can do, but the back office situation is bad. They have a policy where if you need anything from the back office, to pick up a package or held mail, or any help with your post office box, you have to ring a bell and wait at a little Dutch window. The woman who works in the back has too much to do and so basically just ignores the bell 90% of the time. I've waited over an hour at this window on multiple occasions. I've also seen others waiting, upset, and ringing repeatedly. The clerks can't/wont help so you are just stuck if you need something from the back. The last time I was there in the line at this window, the other patrons and I were so fed up after over an hour that we held the bell down until she came out. Needless to say, she was NOT happy with us and said it hurt her ears and she was doing her best. Bottom line, they need more staff in the back and I'm sure that will help with the general attitude of the staff they do have.

I gave the cashier my envelop. She asked if there was anything liquid, perishable, fragile, and so on with the questions. It's paperwork. Nothing dangerous.
