The hours of operation are ridiculous and not customer friendly to people who work. The hours on Saturday are 9-11 and during the week, 8:30-430. If someone has to be at work even by 8 and works until 5 or so - it's impossible. At minimum, with holidays coming up and all the news about post offices needing more money - this post office needs to adapt to their customer community. This is why UPS gets so much traffic. Then there are the multiple incorrect letters received to the wrong addressee. Multiple calls - box labeled - and still the mail carrier does not seem to be able to distinguish numbers on boxes. This is the FIRST time that I have given an excellent, or even good review to a post office. Apparently the postmaster has some good leadership skills. I went in here to drop off a package the week before Christmas. My experience has been with larger post offices, usually in Houston; there, the lines have been long, not enough windows open, and the employees SOUR! Here in Kyle, there were three windows built out, and each one was staffed. Not only that, but the employees smiled and genuinely tried to help me. At one time an employee came out of the back and asked if anyone had a package to pick up. I regretted going to the post office, but afterwards I appreciated my experience. Luck of the draw, Jasmine was the front clerk who assisted me. I don't see how she could be so pleasant with the high volume of Christmas customers, but she was. What a great USPS representative! I've been coming here since it relocated from downtown. The employees are always nice and helpful. If there is something they notice a package is missing something or it doesn't match the shipping labels postage, they will advise and to prevent shipping delays. It can get quite busy here during peak times. Have your pre paid package ready to go and place in the bin in the office to avoid any long lines. read more

How does UPS deliver to Post Office and they have proof of signature and they lost my package that was worth over $200 product. Writing a letter doesn't justify that YOU as the postmaster that signed it and lose a customers package. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER AT ALL. I actually enjoy going to this post office. Always a good positive experience. The staff is great and friendly and do their best to keep the line moving while still taking time to ask how the customers day was. And they don't blindly ask, they really seem to care. Jasmine always seems to be working and always ask how my daughter is doing. Beautiful friendly smile and just a sweet personality. They all seem to work as a team and all treat the customers great. I always leave with a smile which is weird from past experiences of going to the post office. It's a hard job they have dealing with the public coming in non-stop and usually un-prepared and in a hurry. It's amazing how these woman keep cool and keep the positive and contagious attitude. read more

I'd like to say it got better but it hasn't. I ordered an item from Amazon, came from San Marcos, went through San Antonio, then CAME TO KYLE and the Kyle post office sent it to Spring Branch over an hour away. Now instead of getting the item today I won't be getting it til next week. It's bad enough all mail has to go through San Antonio but how did they mess this up? It was in the right town! My and other's mail is always being marked as delivered then doesn't show for a day or two, for some not at all. I'm getting quite frustrated at this location and the mail carrier. When I first moved to Kyle I had absolutely no issues with all my forwarded mail. After the forward expired, no mail at all was being delivered despite the mail being addressed to my new Kyle address. I have held off on writing a review thinking there was just a misunderstanding but I've given more than enough chances. First, they claimed my forward expired and sent almost all my correctly addressed mail back with some selectively coming through. I found this out bc multiple friends sent me pictures of their returned mail with "forward expired" stamped. Then this location said the error was on my end for not filling out a new "rural" resident card- fyi Kyle is no longer rural. I got some mail for a bit, but then it stopped again. The issue was now "no mail receptacle" according to my friends' returned mail pictures ...but how was I getting mail the other times?! I had to speak with them again and I was told the message would be relayed to the mail carrier. I think they were offended when I asked if there was a new carrier that didn't know the mailbox location (and I asked if I could explain it to the carrier) but they claim that carrier hasn't changed. I started getting mail again, and then it stopped AGAIN a bit after. What now?! Unfortunately I'm probably going to have to go Karen on them for this to finally be put to rest. I've already filed several complaints. It's been since December (over a month). I just want my mail! One extra star is for them actually holding some of my Christmas packages for my boyfriend to pick up for me, which I found out only after many inquiries. read more

Always helpful service at this post office. I believe those who write bad reviews are usually part of the problem when looking from a third point of view (seriously, some of the customers I watch are childish). I have many large boxes that have to come through this post office since my mailbox sits on the side of a highway. I know that it can be an inconvenience for the post office to store these large boxes till I can pick them up, but they are always courteous, as long as you are too (shocking). read more

I am also having issues with the delivery people giving my mail to others or getting mail for others. Bluestem for Buttercup I can sort of understand but when the number is not the same it makes no sense. In the past two days I have received confirmation that 3 packages were delivered and put in parcel lockers. I checked my box Thursday - no key. I checked Friday no mail or keys. Today again no mail (not even junk mail) and no keys... Which means they have my package keys to someone else OR they did not really deliver the packages yet. My other complaint is the hours of the office. They are not open early or late and only a few hours on Saturday so in order to pick up a package requiring a signature I have to take 1/2 day off of work. They should have two days a week open 7:30-3 and other days 9-5:30 or something like that... I agree the people manning the counters are very nice and very helpful when you go in. But as this is rare for me (due to the hours open), my rating has to do with everyday mail delivery which is severely lacking... read more

I have had nothing but friendly, fast, service, at this location! It is kept clean, and well lit. The parking lot is designed to accommodate lots of customers, without congestion. I cannot speak to the automated machines, working, or not working, but the staff is one of the better, I've experienced, at a Post Office. I have noticed numerous mistakes with similar numerically addressed items being delivered to houses, by accident. ie: 212 Caraway, being delivered to 212 Witte, or PO Box 710 items delivered to PO Box 170. That's my only reason for not rating with 5 stars. The clerks have gone out of their way to give me tips on packaging, resulting in faster, and cheaper alternatives. I have witnessed them on more than one occasion, during peak busy times, crack jokes, or getting silly, to relieve stress on each other, and the customers. Went there today to send out a letter ,By mistake I picked an Express Envelope thinking it was Regular mail and Since I DON'T do this everyday ,I also grabbed one of the Certified papers because I needed to make sure my letter would get to its destination...Well,I arrived to the counter and to my surprise the Curly headed woman throws a different envelope to which I ask ; What is this !? She then replied for Regular mail ,soooo I asked if I could just keep the one I had already filled out and closed ,she replied on a rude way that it was an express mail to which to me it was EVEN better , then she goes out of her way to throws another paper without explain to me what It was for or what I need to fill in ... Finally I'm done and the other blond short hair lady takes care of me and I was finally able to mail out my letter!! Suggestion:: If you don't like where you work .... FIND A FRAKING DIFFERENT JOB WOMAN!!!! ***Poor Customer Service ***Long faces ***Rude !!!!! The machines are always broken at this location. And one stamp machine was removed. There was an employee there who yelled at a customer - to the point where he said 'give me back my check' and left. Serious problems plague this location (except for one friendly employee who works there). She always smiles and is helpful. read more

This mail facility is the worst managed I have ever known in my 20 years living here. Our delivery guy is awful. He writes on our mail when mailbox is blocked. Dont use this facility very much as its rival UPS is more conveniant for me . You walk in past a array of bins and cabinets toting all kinds of forms , envelopes,boxes and sundry items they want you to buy to send your items in .. there is 1 clerk sometimes 2 /3 and you are called up to the counter where your business is taken care of . problem is if the establishment is busy usually around lunch time the other clerk/s take a break, it seems as soon as there are 3 or4 folks in line most of the clerks take a lunch break ...annoying to say the least *but what can you expect from a govt agency thats losing more and more money each year * my letter carrier is nice thou . so they get 3 stars read more

We are in the business of shipping and receiving. We have been in Kyle now for close to three years. San Marcos previously. My Husband goes there almost everyday. He knows the gals there. He always comments on how friendly and helpful they are. Jazmine has been especially helpful. Yesterday I went to get my mail as I was notified I had a package. When I got to the box my package was not there or the key. I called and talked to a very nice Gentleman (I think his name was Henry) I told him about my issue. He said he would do a little investigating and call back later or tomorrow. I said no problem. 15 minutes later there was a knock on my door. It was Henry with my package!!! I have never had that kind of service from any PO in my 30 years of business. Neighbors are always complaining about not getting mail or lost packages in Hometown Kyle. Don't know her name but she stares you down if she can't park behind you (even though she has PLENTY of space in front of her). Like legit staring at you like she wants to fight. Like ok? lol. After staring you down she will proceed to talk crap about you while you're sitting right there to the other neighbors walking by. If that's not enough for you, the next week she will very rudely tell you not to touch your mail while all the boxes are open. Which is fine. I just never knew that. I told her she could have said it nicer and she proceeded to say it again in a very sarcastic way. Like ok, so she DOES know how to be nice. Look lady, some people just don't know. Doesn't mean you have to attack them. So after that, she was on the phone with her AirPods in and starting talking crap about me to whoever she was on the phone with. Not really sure what is stuck up her ass but she needs to calm down. I had never talked to her before the second incident and she has an issue with me apparently. Idk how old she is but she acts like she's 6, looks to be about 55 however. But this is my neighborhood and my home. I will not be disrespected. So, from now on I will continue to record her if she is around while I get my mail for safety reasons. This is the most petty stuff I have ever had someone get angry at me over lol. But again, this is MY neighborhood and will be respected. Especially when I have done nothing to the lady. I went to the post office today to take care of a couple of minor things. I witnessed TWO seperate customers berating the ladies behind the counter for things that were NOT in their control. I mean, it was not their fault your package is unaccounted for in KOREA, and that they didn't have enough cash on hand to cash your daddy's postal money order. Customers were very rude. I know when you work in customer service you have to deal with all kinds of people, but really, get over yourself, people. I am grateful for the people who work at the Kyle PO, who are efficient, professional, kind, and who often show a gentle sense of humor. I have never had anything but positive experiences at this post office. I have, on occasion, had our mail carrier deliver the wrong mail to us. Big freakin' deal. People are human. I have received friendly, efficient and relatively quick service. I don't use the postage machines, so I am not able to speak to that matter. If people were kinder than they are to them, perhaps they would be more pleasant to THEM! I've heard customers talk to these people like they are crap and I actually feel embarrassed for the idiot making the scene. People are human. They make errors. Get over it. read more

Supervisor Elaine Harwood hung up me while I was trying to resolve a problem that USPS is responsible for not I! My package was scanned and delivered. Not in location it was scanned to. So NO ONE knows where my package is. Including the supervisor Elaine. The carrier is going to have to re run his/her route to figure out where he/she left it. Yet I'm the one who was hung up on. Why? This place is awful! Tracy especially! I went in to return a package from a third party seller on Amazon. First time I've ever had to return a package not at a ups location. So I went in with my stuff and didn't have it properly packaged. So I left to get my papers organized and get a mail slip and came back. The lady explained to me that I needed to also buy packing tape ($4) because they wouldn't supply me any. I told them I didn't want to purchase tape if I needed one slip of it and that's when it all exploded. The lady who had helped me earlier was loudly talking in the back about how "oh wow she's back. I already told her once how to do it" but she failed to mention that I had to get my own tape for one piece of it! Naturally, we got irritated by that and we said something about it in passing as TRACY was checking us out. She started getting VERY loud with me and literally was getting in my face (6 feet people)! Her coworker had to calm her down, which coincidentally was the person talking crap in the back room. Maybe their people need a bit more training. NOT COOL TRACY! We moved to Kyle April 1st. USPS has delivered our packages to the wrong address 3 times in 3 months... Yesterday we called bc it said our package was delivered yet it hadn't arrived. We contacted USPS and it turns out they had put it in the wrong mailbox. Two weeks ago I received an OPEN package from an eBay purchase with the words "wrong mailbox" written on the front. I guess whoever accidentally received it opened it and decided that it wasn't anything worth keeping and took it back to the PO for redelivery. The first time this happened it was 4 dining chairs from Target that were super expensive. They were never recovered, USPS never followed up and we ended up having to set-up a claim with Target to get new chairs. There is absolutely no excuse for their incompetence to this level. I wish there was a way to bypass USPS altogether.. but seriously this is the worst location I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Packages and mail routinely arrive damaged, I've been notified that I have a package waiting only to be told that they have no package for me, then low and behold they find the package (damaged of course) sitting somewhere in the back of the office a few days later. I would have gave NO STARS if an option.....Do NOT USE THIS LOCATION---I went to mail a package yesterday with my sister., we asked the woman (Billing Clerk #7) behind the counter which was the cheapest box to use. We pack up the merchandise, which does not fit in one box. So we use two. The place WAS NOT busy, she waits for us to package everything up. She rings us up and we pay. THEN she says if we had put everything in our own box (one box), the package would have cost us less (BY $40). She had a smirk on her face, when we asked if we could repackage it. She said ALL POSTAGE IS FINAL. Really. This place is horrible, and the fact she is a union employee really irks me because she won't be fired.
