I filed a claim immediately and provided documentation from FedEx in Mobile, AL, where ongoing theft issues are known. Despite this, Neiman Marcus has refused to refund or replace my item and has questioned my integrity. I truly believe if I were a White customer, this would have been handled differently. Instead, as an African-American woman, I've been treated like a thief. This item was meant as an appreciation gift for someone who has stood by me during a very difficult time and he never received it. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and an attorney based on principle and the emotional stress this has caused. I was asked if Toby was a service dog and I immediately said yes. I was then told I would have to buy a mailing package to return an Amazon purchase. While I was getting package the lady behind me ask to go ahead, I had no issue with that as I returned to the line, they were discussing the fact Toby was with me and the lady behind the counter said, "there is nothing I can do about it". I ask if they were talking about my dog. She rudely told me I was not talking to you. When it was my turn, I had dropped the mailing package on the floor and bent over to pick it and tossed it on the weight machine. She then informed me I could go to another place to mail my package (she indicated I was being rude). I told her I wanted to just return the package. I have been using this UPS store for years. I was stunned at the rudeness. Yes, I was at fault for not having Toby's service vest on (I was distraught by the fact Toby was sick). I am writing this review in the hope that she will re-evaluate her attention toward her customers. They filter their reviews and only allow certain reviews to be posted. i.e. their site talks about how they sell through Amazon for some parts and they wont allow you to state that it would be easier to get the part via Amazon because you are "listing a competitor's site". Also when i changed the review to mention the shipping cost it was again denied because you are not allowed to talk about shipping.

Again, I was told the cancellation would result in a refund to my CC with, wait for it,"3-5 business days." And, of course, someone would call me within 48 hours to follow-up. On 5/7, I called back to get a status on the cancellation and refund. No luck this time either, but the lady I spoke with said it was escalated and someone would call be back within 24 hours this time. I checked status again on 5/11- no updates. I called again on 5/12 - again, no update, but someone would now send me an email with status on the refund. I disputed the charge on my CC and this ordeal is finally over. Back in the day, when Sears was actually Sears, the service was impeccable and things were much easier. Now, everyone you talk to there has an accent my 67 y.o. ears just can't process. They are all very nice, but no joy. This company is a train-wreck from the top down. They have zero logistical depth and they have no supply chain prowess in the least. At best, they take Internet orders and pass them along with phone calls, emails, or sticky notes and you might get your parts, or you might not. I strongly believe one of their best lines of business and profit centers are keeping your refund, or negotiating part of it out of your back pocket.
