I am going to post this review on both the Ocean Springs and D'Iberville Post Offices sites…read more Our home is pretty much the same distance from either post office, so we have used them both about equal in the past; no longer. I'll go to Ocean Springs PO in a pinch or to drop off a letter, but given my choice, I now much prefer the D'Iberville PO. At the D'Iberville PO, you usually get a smile; you always have their full attention, and they give you thorough, complete information and suggestions on how to save on shipping. They look you in the eye when talking to you, and they treat you like a person, like a customer. More often than not, I leave there smiling. At Ocean Springs, the best I can describe it is that it is like dealing with a KIOSK machine. There is no human interaction, no helpful suggestions; you only get information if you know exactly what to ask; you are just as likely to get a shrug or a blank stare. Polite human interaction is not difficult; making another person, a customer, feel OK is not tough. Having worked in customer service for over 40 years, I know something about it, and it is not difficult to send your customer away feeling good about the experience. Now, Post Masters, when you start to blame your employees, stop and look in the mirror, for that is where the blame, or credit, begins!

You can go through another set of doors on your left to get in line for a person if that's what you need. They didn't have any cool postage stamps. So that was disappointing. I bought some boring ones anyway. Yippie!

With all the cynicism regarding anything having to do with the Federal Government, and yes the very…read moreobvious business problems of the USPS, this location does an amazing job. Located on St Joseph Street its a huge building, with ample parking on the street as well as a small lot on the side. The building is older but comfortable to be in, its very clean, with a quiet yet efficient air conditioner and heater, and it has an old Mobile charm that most people would find charming. The staff is awesome, unlike some of the horror stories you have heard about other Postal employees, they are on the ball. They can answer most questions efficiently and correctly. They have a large understanding of how to streamline the passport process, rent a p.o. box, sell you a money order or even just send the letter or package you need. The people who work here really seem to enjoy it and go out of their way to help. They always greet with a smile and seem to be able to remember you if you have ever been there before. All in all, probably the best postal experience I have ever had in my life!

I use the approved flat rate box for military and Told me it was $108 when it should have only been $32. I took my package and left. Never again will I visit this location. Employees seem aggravated to be there and that they have to wait on you or maybe they just act that way toward certain people. Horrible experience!!!

I requested Priority Mail service for my envelope. The clerk provided the incorrect slip suggesting a larger package when only an envelope was needed and acceptable. When I voiced my concern that the package would not be delivered to a recruit in BMT, the clerk responded with an unprofessional and dismissive attitude. I was overcharged for the service, paying $13.00 when the usual rate is $11.00. Furthermore, the clerk failed to process the mail correctly. She only applied the Priority Mail sticker directly to my personal envelope and did not stamp the mail or place it into the appropriate Priority Mail envelope casing as is standard procedure. The letter is now lost and its whereabouts are unknown. I strongly believe the improper processing is the direct cause of its loss. This is especially upsetting as it was a critical letter to a recruit with limited communication access. I would like to acknowledge that employee Brian was extremely kind, helpful, and professional when I returned to the Post Office to inquire about the lost letter.

So i went to the post office to pi k up the packabut the carrier was still on their routes. I insisted that i can meet them to get it because I wanted to get started on my vehicle,( i hate depending on others), but by their policy they couldn't allow that for safety reasons. The manager took it upon himself to get and his car and go get the package for me and they wouldn't allow me to tip them. One of the most generous things to happen to me in a while. This definitely made my day.... Thank you all so very much for going over and beyond!!! Highly recommend!!!

Amy Brown, i will be filing a complaint with the usps, providing them with the recordings i have of all our phone calls, your unprofessional way of communicating, and the part where you admitted that your office failed to scan hundreds of packages before being sent out for delivery. it left customers who rely on the tracking system, more so during this pandemic, without the reasonable expectation that they will receive the goods they necessarily purchase by mail.

I would like to start off by saying that I have no desire to ruin anyone's day. I am very…read morerespectful and courteous to everyone I meet. The employee named, Sal was very rude and dismissive when I was asking questions about shipping labels. I have no reason to be treated like I was. I walked in on Saturday and there was no line. He was on his phone and not paying attention. He told me he can't do anything about printing a shipping label because I don't have a QR code. I talked to customer support on the phone and gave the employee named, Sara a copy of my prepaid shipping label with a QR code and she said my local post office can do it. It's called "label brokering." I showed him the USPS website on my phone and he didn't even look at it. He just said, "Next!" to the person in line behind me. I was shocked that I had to go to the public library, sign up for a library card and pay to print out a label when I was told by a post office customer support agent that I could do it at the Post Office. I'm very dissatisfied with this employee and he should be trained proper customer service. This process took 2 hours and should have been much easier because when I brought the printed label, he scanned it just fine. He scanned it from my phone on the first trip and didn't even look at his computer. He just stated he "couldn't do it." However, once it was printed, he scanned it with no issues. Sal needs to lose the unwarranted negative attitude.
