What I am about to tell you actually happened...in real life. This post office has always been subpar with its customer service and facilities. On this particular day, I unfortunately had to go to the counter. As I stepped up next to the other customer, there it was, in all its glory - a mail clerk helping the customer, while flossing her teeth. FLOSSING HER TEETH. I'm still sort of reeling from what I witnessed. I know I shouldn't be shocked at the behavior of others anymore, but, it's not difficult to act like an adult who knows how to act in public, especially at their job. the worst customer service - when you submit a lost package report, they telephone you and tell you they will call you back, they never call back - this has happened numerous times. your home mail may not be delivered somedays or not until 8-9pm. the one carrier will sit in the usps truck talking/texting on his cellphone for 20 min. before delivering the mail almost every time he delivers mail and does not care that taxpayer customers see him on his cellphone for an extended period of time. this location is proof of supporting trump/musk wanting to privatize the usps - i am not a trump supporter. read more

Went here for my passport. I made an appointment and showed up early, expecting to be ushered into an office. Nope, right at the counter. Things went very well, the lady was pleasant and helpful. I took away one of the clerks, though, and the line got long, but the other clerk worked through things quickly, and was friendly to the other customers. As for passports, go prepared. The clerk was efficient, and helped me through some minor things. It's a bit out of my way to use as a post office, but I had a good experience and would stop back if it was handy. Second time here in the last week at the Bexley branch. First time there was no line and one postal worker.My wait went fairly fast. Three days later I went back and there were 6 people in line and one cashier. Need less to say the line moved slow. A worker came out from the back and asked if anyone had any questions but couldn't help with transactions. Few minutes later a 2nd cashier came out and opened her line but the first one closed her. It was after 2pm so maybe they were taking lunch? Apparently there is a shortage of workers because there is a need for two people working out front. This elderly lady, who should know better, called my phone back to berate me for the call being disconnected and accusing me of hanging up on her. Seek therapy for your triggers, ma'am! I had a package delivered to the post office instead of my house, and I went to pick it up. This location has been without internet for several days, and the postal worker who took my information could not find my package, took my tracking number, told me she couldn't help me, didn't give me any direction on what to do next. Not stand at her counter I guess but she didn't say anything about whether I should wait, move or come back or what. She was incredibly rude when I was unclear what was going to happen next. She told me I had attitude, she mocked my words out loud in front of 3 other postal workers and a line of customers. It was belittling and I felt helpless, since I actually wanted my package. post office lost my mom's very important document that worth of $540 from immigration. we called them many times but no one can ready help us, all they just said wait for us for 3 days to call you, but we end up we are the one callinv them. the last peroson we spoke told us that we should file a claim which is we did. after for many days waiting for to response us they sent us a letter that they denied our claim. they said that they delivered the mail. we are not going to complain and file a claim if we just did actually receive the mail, but we did not. So now we have to pay another $540 for my mom just to keep her or be legal to stay with us. What a sad and waste of money. $540 is lot of money and you post office should be responsible to pay the other $540 for my mom's document. read more

Had a scheduled appointment at 11 am for a passport application, due to me having to go out of town, I decided to arrive early for the appointment. There was no line and no one in the parking lot. Shaneeka - a worker at this franchise declined completing my application. Stated that the line needs to be maintained (There was no line), and noone arriving. She then told me I could come at 10am, which she then changed and said I could not come back until 11am directly after stating I could come back. She told me I would need to reschedule. I explained there was noone in the facility and she had a bad attitude when telling me she would not complete the application. I walked out. read more

I'm definitely not of the post office generation, but lately I've found myself here at least once a week. Whether it was for a passport application, returning clothes, or shipping some Yelp schwag fellow CMs--this PO and I have gotten tight. But I wouldn't call us besties. We're like those kids whose moms forced them to play together, but they hated every second of it. I kinda hate this PO, and I'm fairly certain they feel the same way about me. My biggest gripe is the (lack of) customer service. Since I haven't been a frequent user, I don't know what the eff I'm doing. And nobody here wants to help me figure it out either. Whenever I can actually track somebody down to ask a question, they seem immensely annoyed and bothered by me. On my most recent visit, I tried to figure out the flat rate boxes for myself. I attempted to follow the instructions, but the guy at the counter was very quick to tell me how badly I screwed it up. It was super fun to be scolded and embarrassed in front of everyone. I could understand the lack of customer service if the post office were a booming business, but it's obvious they are not. If they want to survive through my generation, they need to get with the program quick. There are a few positives though: it's close to my house; they take passport appointments; and they have a DIY kiosk. read more

They always always have lines. Even for the machine in the lobby. One person at the counter is stupid. The tumbler for packages is ALWAYS full. Dont bother using clicknship** they never came to pick up my boxes from my house. Still had to drive back to the post office. Delayed my items a day or more after I paid for them to go two day shipping. Utter waste of time and money. Pay the bit more use FedEx or Brown*. They deliver packages not stress. read more

I really hate to write a negative or poor review of a business, but I realized that I actually dread any time I have to stand in line at this particular location. I've seen the same faces working the counter for years, with a few new ones that have come and gone. The older members who have stuck around are generally the ones who cause my experience to be less than pleasant. I am always friendly no matter where I go, but unfortunately I'm rarely greeted with the same friendliness by the veterans at this location. At my business, all of our workers stay at the counter as long as possible before heading to the back for a break when we have a long line of people waiting to be helped. At the Bexley Post Office, there's been times where there is a line backed up to the entrance and only two workers at the counter. Neither of them hesitate to disappear to the back for breaks after only helping two or three customers. They're (physically) very slow moving and quite cold emotionally which adds to my frustration each visit. I've felt somewhat mocked before for not addressing an international package correctly despite following the online instructions. As others mentioned, the facility itself has a nice DIY weigh station / mailing kiosk which is very convenient. I love the wide-mouthed drop box for small packages that are too oddly shapen to fit in the outdoor mailboxes. This facility is generally kept at a comfortable temperature during all weather throughout the year. It is clean and very well-maintained inside and out. Again, it bothers me to have to do a low review, but after 4 years of unfriendliness compared to other nearby Post Offices, this location has only earned two stars in my book. read more

I'm reviewing a Post Office for one reason, and one reason only: this particular post office features a dandy little DIY mailing kiosk where you can weigh the package, print out the postage, slap it on, and put it into a very, very large drop area (large enough to hold not just letters but decent-sized boxes), all without having to wait in line for the flesh-and-blood postal workers. I've already sent out one package this way and it has been confirmed received and I just dropped in another one today; nobody is EVER using it when I go in, but there's always a line at the counter. I walk in, zip through the process with the machine, and walk out. There are tons of mailing options, and you can add insurance and delivery confirmation and such, then pay with your credit card. Genius! I hate waiting on line at the post office--especially since I've always lived in poor neighborhoods with understaffed, underequipped post offices where it can take days to get anything done. Since they closed down the location by my house, so my husband told me, I've taken to driving to this one in Bexley, and it is pretty magical. (Lately, the counter service is often excruciatingly slow. One woman in particular who works there moves slower than molasses in January.) read more

Recently went to this location and was very impressed. When I got into the store unfortunately there was a huge line so I thought about leaving.. But with close to 10 people in front of me I was through the line in 5 to 7 minutes. The two ladies behind the counter were quick and efficient! read more

Located in Eastmoor, just East of Bexley on Main St. I have mixed feelings about this location. First, the interior is clean, spacious, and quite nice. Lots of windows keep it well lit. Also, there's a self-service package mailing station (Twin Rivers and Beechwold also have one), which is great for when there is a long line, or if you need to come after hours. The negatives include a funky parking lot (no left turn...towards downtown?), and oddly angled spaces along the building. The only other negative experience I've had here was around 11pm, helping my wife mail packages using the self-service. Random guy walks in and asks if we want to buy a pair of size 10 women's jeans. No thanks, buddy. Then he asked for money and turned him away. So I suppose you'll see some sketchy people around this PO branch, but the interior is quite nice. read more

No one at this post office answers a phone. After receiving confirmation my package was delivered to my PO Box, it has been lost in their delivery system -- which is funny because I specified to have put in my PO Box, NOT delivered to my home. read more

Shipped a package that was supposed to be delivered by this office. I used the kiosk at the 24 location near me that requires you to type in an address and prints it. This was registered mail with insurance. For whatever reason it was deemed undeliverable, and I was told there no address on it. So to some fucking idiot of a carrier, that evidently meant send to the lost mail office in Atlanta with no type of investigation AT ALL. After opening a search, 6 months later, nothing has been found. Luckily I did have insurance read more

No one is a fan of taking a trip to the PO, and I did have to wait in line approximately 15-20 minutes, BUT the cashier (the only cashier) was pleasant and efficient. She alone made the experience bearable. I wish I knew her name. I'd like to thank her for making the most out of a frustratingly long line with no help behind the counter. Go girl! read more

Omg! I just had the most amazingly pleasant customer service experience (from Ron Bowman) that I might have ever had, not just at a post office, but quite possibly anywhere, and I would like to share it with you. I arrived on a Saturday around 11a. As expected, the post office was pretty crowded. As I waited in line, a fellow came out from behind the scenes and started trying to expedite the line and help people. He very kindly and patiently asked people what they needed so as to ascertain whether or not they'd have to wait in line, all wanted to check out the art on the stamps, which merited a wait in line; however, when he got to me, I told him I simply needed postage on a package, at which time he led me over to the self serve, automated postage kiosk. Because I'd never seen this machine before, I was a bit intimidated, but he stood right there, was in the moment, and explained everything perfectly and kindly. He also went as far as to help me figure out the most cost effective way to mail my package. When we were through, it was all I could do to keep from hugging him! It isn't every day that one finds help as capable and competent as the help I found today with Ron Bowman. He should be a mentor to everyone with a customer service job.THANK YOU, Ron Bowman!
