Best laundromat in Central Harlem! I hate doing laundry because of the amount of time I have to commit to the process. This is usually because after I finish washing my clothes there are no dryers available. This facility has plenty of dryers! read more

I usually come here to wash and dry my clothes because it's close to my job. I never had an issue before until today. I came in to do laundry and the ATM machine was down so I had to Zelle them money to wash clothes. I wash my clothes I use the same amount I always used in putting in liquid soap and the same Setting it wasn't showing hardly any of the soap I put in which I found odd I what ever it and figured maybe it will pick up more later usually it suds up quick it stood that way the whole time so I let it be. I went to dry them on the big giant drying machines and paid for 45 minutes the bottom 2 machines. It started for 2 minutes and then gave me an error I pressed start again thinking maybe it was just me and now the 2nd machine stop and also gave me an error. I let the staff know I paid for 45 minutes to dry my clothes I spoke to the skinny younger Hispanic woman with curly brown hair. She came over looked at the machine and pressed start on both of them and it gave us the error after it spun for 1-2 minutes and she kept hitting start again 2-3 times then told me move some clothes from this machine to an other I told her his is a smaller load than what I usually do but followed her instructions. She told me to get her when I moved the clothes and I did and I asked her before hand is this a better size load to work with and she said yes. She added 10 minutes to the machine and I reminded her I paid for 45 minutes again and she watched the machine and again now not only the 2 big ones I paid for but the medium one she told me to put some Clothes in gave an error as well. She told me move all the clothes from one of the big ones and split it in to 2 machines and she would fill it I did as I was told. And went to let her know I'm done moving the clothes asked her if that was ok for the load because I've always used the big dryer machines. She said yes and then proceeded to add 20 minutes to dry my clothes to which I explained miss you only put 20 on each machine when I paid for 45 minutes she told me the time she was troubleshoot the machines counts as used time and I explained you didn't even have a out of order sign telling me the machines where messed up we went back and forth and I explained her trouble shooting should not count as me drying my clothes because the machines were displaying error and would not dry the clothes, she got annoyed and yelled at me "I have to get back to work" and added 20 minutes to the 3 new machines. This is not how you treat customers nor how you should do business with people. She walked away and I stop to stop 4 other customers from using the machine that I had the error with she would not even put an out of order sign on it. read more

Update: I received an apology from the manager and a really kind explanation. As well, they returned 50 dollars to my account. I was really upset when I wrote this because I had no one that I could speak to. Hopefully, they work with this person who misrepresents their company. Save your money and your time. Complete rip off for rude service. Life is too short for the treatment I received. The pick up for my laundry was running late, things happen. But, it was the way the manager handled it, she was unprofessional. Initially when I called knowing it was running late, she was unable to communicate that the driver was stuck in traffic. When it was officially late she was less helpful and very rude. The pick arrived 45 minutes late. On a work day this is stressful when you rely on that 1 hour window. She repeated to me in a rude manner, that I should write a complaint if I had issues and said she did not know the name of manager. I was surprised to find out that she was the manager. So, she lied. The driver on his arrival was very apologetic, nice and was better at communication. He even refused my tip. I told him that I will no longer use the service as it is unreliable with this manager and way overpriced for the bad service. They charged me 3.99 for a missed pick up... when I refused service due to the lateness. This is a corporation, not the mom and pop feel you need with laundry. Most important, there is no one to speak to. The woman they had working that morning will ruin their business. I learned, she has several complaints from customers. Save your money and beware of United Laundre in Harlem. read more

it's the summertime, if a laundromat is not packed or does not open on time means it's no good. I'm the only one here after waiting 20 mores for them to open. The washer barely uses water. This is a "you got me once place ". Never again, Oh sure it looks clean and modern but that is the listing affect, read more

They never mix wash!!!! The machine is fancy and use the newest version. The wash-and-fold service in here was outstanding! The service was quick and reliable, with my clothes returned neatly folded and perfectly clean. The attention to detail was evident, as even my delicate items were handled with care. The staff was friendly, making the entire process smooth and convenient. It's a game changer for my busy schedule, and I love how fresh everything smelled. read more

Been washing clothes for over 35 years the machines here are definitely a rip off. Smallest machine is $6 , medium $8, large $11 without any additions. Dryer is 0.25 for 5 minutes. If An extra rinse or heavily soiled will each cost you extra. The machines are also very shallow. Meaning it will cost you 18 dollars to wash a decent load without drying. While the technology of the machines seems promising it is costly and ineffective and does not get your clothes clean. Loading money on the cards is cash only. I've been to less expensive laundromats like clean rite and laundry castle and used tap and apple pay to refill my card. This laundromat is not helpful or convenient for the self serve laundry options, and seem more like a cash grab more suited for transplants and gentrifiers in the neighborhood. There aren't too many laundry options in the neighborhood, so they will continue to gauge the community, but for anyone who is thinking about blindly trying this laundromat, if there is another option, I would check out the other options first. I sincerely hope this laundry isn't affiliated with the church. This laundry is taking advantage of the neighborhood. read more

United Laundré - Laundromat Near Me - New York, New York

I had used this service for over a year. Normally I didn't have a problem. But recently I sent brand new towels to be washed for the first time. One of the towels came back burned. When I reached out about my issue the response was unacceptable. They showed a couple of pictures to say that my item wasn't damaged there. The photos only show the folded towels. Even more insulting was that they posed the idea that the damage happened during another wash after they washed it. The only problem with that is that the towels have only been washed once and they did it. I won't be using their services agai. read more

Speedy service and a fantastic atmosphere! United Laundré transforms laundry day into something enjoyable. The machines are impressively quick, cutting down my time here, and the cozy waiting area adds to the relaxed vibe--no rush, no stress. They've really thought of everything to make the experience smooth, from the helpful staff to the clean, inviting space. I'm genuinely impressed with how easy they make it to get laundry done and feel comfortable while waiting. United Laundré deserves every one of those five stars! read more

Horrible service. The concept and ambiance is amazing. Machines are great, but they will RIP YOU OFF. They double charged me for some laundry and basically said they would not give me my clothes back unless I paid them an additional amount!! read more

Unfortunately I have no ratings for United Laundre'. I am not the kind of person who leaves bad reviews but the experience with United Laundre' deserves to be shared. I had dropped off a 3 piece linen suit on July 9th , 2024. to be dry cleaned. I was looking for a response from United Laundre' two weeks later since I have never heard anything to pick up my items. I went to the location and asked where was my suit. and they told me that the owner would call me to explain to me what was going on. another week went by and I return. and I was dealt rudely by their employee who kept rolling her eyes at me in a very non professional manner. several days later, My partner had gone to them and it was then Lucia who worked at the front desk told him that my vest was lost and that the owner was away on vacation and would not be back until September 1 and will contact me. I waited another week and received a text telling me that my suit was ready to pick up. ( We are now in the month of August.) As I picked up my suit, I was told that the owner would refund my payment because I had to wait over a month to receive my items. I have not heard back and reached out several times And I have not been compensated for my inconvenience. it s now September 4th and I waited purposely before writing the review to allow the oven extra time before I posted this Review. it was a very rude experience and a let down especially since I was charged $25 for a linen suit that I never got a chance to wear for the summer. I am completely disappointed and dissatisfied! drop your cleaning off with warning. stay away!! read more

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with kindness and service immediately. His name was Tony. He practically held my hand as he recommended the proper washer for my clothes, the amount of soap, and the pay system. Honestly, it's a beautiful store, and Tony as an assistant heightens the whole experience. I highly recommend and will be returning for a long time! read more

I reallllllly wanted to love this laundromat, unfortunately, I don't. There's a lot to like though- it's beautiful, very clean, brand spanking new with classical music playing, tons of machines, great fast dryers, and a restroom (that's squeaky clean). If only my clothes got as clean (sigh). I've come here twice. The first time, my clothes were absolutely still soiled even though I paid $15+ total for the wash cycle on 1 washer with the extra soil and extra rinse options as ad-ons. When I showed the attendant my clothes, she gave me a free re-wash, and after that wash, the clothes were more clean (however super lint-y). Today, I went back, figured I'd give it a second try. I made sure not to over pack the machine, use enough soap and again used both ad-on options, and yet again, there were clothes that were still stained, and some of my partner's tees still smelled like his armpits. Not to mention the amount of lint that's left behind on everything, sure some of it comes out after being in the dryer, but it's just unusual as none of this ever happens at the regular neighborhood laundromats I use. I think it's something about the super high efficiency vibe of these machines. Maybe they just don't use enough water or something. But I can't risk another week of dirty laundry for cute ambiance, so unfortunately I'm gonna have to go back to the super crowded, old faithful laundry spots. read more
