Excellent little gem for scrap metal in Tucson. Forget going to the big box stores when this is…read moreavailable. Love that they offer this at an incredibly decreased cost to the public; they'll even cut metal for you to your exact size. Their formula is based on weight. For example I was looking for stainless steel. You can buy it at $.50 a pound or, non-magnetic at $1.50 a pound. I do cast iron restoration so this just might be my newest go-to place. Super friendly service and a welcoming mindset to the whole public. Once a month they open up a different section to the 'artists' where the other side of the reclamation yard is available for projects. They have much more odd sized metal pieces there. Pretty cool place considering the point to revive metal for a reduced sale price. Way to think eco!!

Picture Rock's arrived when they said they would, explained what the problem was and repaired it. I would definitely recommend.

We had a shower go out in a guest bathroom on a Saturday and Picture Rocks Cooling, Heating &…read morePlumbing, was recommended on a Tucson community page on Facebook. We contacted them and they were prompt to send a service tech out to look over the issue. After the assessment, replacing the shower body (valve and cartridge) was necessary. Plus having to cut into either the tile and/or the drywall to get to the pipes, would be an additional cost with their contractor between $200-400. Because we thought we could replace the shower/tub set fixtures and cartridge ourselves, we bought the entire kit at Home Depot for the fraction of the cost they wanted to charge us for the set. Picture Rocks told us they would start the repair that morning and would have to come back that following Monday to complete the repair. Their estimated price was $1650 without the contractor's price. However, they were giving us credit for the set we purchased but they couldn't warranty it only their labor which was understandable. I called a family member who is a licensed HVAC and Plumbing company owner in Phoenix. To make sure we were getting a fair cost, he told us they were charging us way too much to replace and install the entire shower body. His company charges for that type of installation up to $800 with no issues. He was taken back by the estimate and told us to find another company. Needless to say, we found a fair, licensed and knowledgeable Plumber here on Yelp. We waited on his estimate and to our surprise, his price was significantly lower and in the same range of what our family member stated. Minus the dry wall repair, which we can do ourselves due to being a small square cut out and the price was fair. Therefore, due diligence is necessary in getting a fair price, even on a holiday weekend (Easter). Don't go with the first recommendation, in a long run, this will save you money.

Early on one of the hottest days of the year, an emergency situation external to our property and…read morecaused by city construction left us without electricity. This company was able to respond fast, and they get 3 stars for fixing *most* of it fast. But I hired them to fix all of it, and I paid them over $2.5K for the half day of work. While they were here, when I went out to see what was happening, no one would talk much to me. I'm a woman homeowner and I've found that some companies have workers who talk to me as the intelligent human who hired them, and some haven't figured out how to do that. This company belongs to be the latter category. (No women were on their work team unless you count the receptionist, unsurprisingly.) After they left some of the lights still weren't (and still aren't) working. I left a polite phone message asking for them to come check it out, and quickly got an email - not a phone call - in reply. The email said they will not come back even to look at it without charging me for $125/hour and they won't look at anything until I've paid them in full. (That little threat was sent to me less than 72 hours after this emergency occurred.) They seemed to have a close relationship with TEP, our utility, and it felt very much like working with a utility - not a great deal of customer power or choice.

These guys are very service oriented and know what they are doing. I learned the hard way after having a bad experience with a supposed licensed contractor from Craigslist. Arizona Electric is professional! I will always go back to them if in need of future work! John - at one point - had recommended the owners brother to do some interior work and he spilled varnish all over the garage floor. I was very unhappy with that recommendation and paid the guy he sent less money because of the damage from the varnish that could not be removed. John is such a kind guy he went ahead and paid the brother of the owner the rest of the invoice even though as a subcontractor he did not deserve it. I respect that he works to do good by everyone. And he certainly is a knowledgeable electrician! You pay more but you get more! Call them.
