Remove all vents, wash, clean and reset them back up with better screws. The house feels clean inside and better (clean/sanitized) air flow. Carson even cleaned my kitchen ceiling (tons of grease, across air vent) above stove! Out of conversation, I said I couldn't reach and to my surprise he took it upon himself to do that! We were able to get an appointment quickly. Lucas showed up on time and did a fantastic job. He was professional and thorough. The last people who owned the home had an addiction to the plug-in air fresheners, and the house had an overwhelming smell of air freshener. Cleaning the ducts greatly reduced the smell in the home. Lucas also cleaned the dryer vent, which was completely clogged and could have been a fire hazard had we not had it cleaned. It was simultaneously fun and gross to see everything that came out of the duct work and dryer vent. I went through Angie's List to find a dryer vent cleaner and Del from Arizona Vent Cleaning called…read moreme. I spoke with Del Glen about getting my dryer vent cleaned as I was getting an error message that indicated my dryer vent was clogged. He knew exactly what was wrong and scheduled for between 9 and 10am the next day. He also said they won't try to sell a bunch of services like other companies. They just do the requested job. So, 9am rolled around, 9:30, finally at 10 Del's brother Steve shows up to tell me that the job they are currently doing was running late and they won't finish and be at my house until 1pm. I had my afternoon planned out, and now I had to bust my backend to get done what I needed to do before 1:00. (If this was my business and I couldn't get a job finished which would inconvenience my next customer, I would tell then I have to come back to finish.) I rush home to be there by 1pm. So, 1:00 rolls around, 1:15, 1:20 and finally I call Del to find out why they are late. He responds by saying they are on their way. Steve arrives with his worker Callie (?) and Callie gets started right away. Immediately, Steve asks when I last had my air ducts cleaned. I don't know because I just moved into the house, and it was remodeled. He walks to my air vent, lowers the cover and says, "See?See all the dust?" I didn't see any but he must know what he's talking about. So he quotes me a price which wasn't something I could do right now, as I'm retired. Still, he kept at it, until I said OK. (So much for not trying to sell me additional services.) It's important to point out that Callie is hearing impaired, can't read lips, doesn't know ASL and can't read the written word. I only mention that Callie is hearing impaired because unbeknownst to either of us, Steve leaves. Callie finishes and he doesn't know that Steve left or where he went. I don't know either but I try to get him to understand that he is supposed to clean the air ducts. He doesn't understand me, I don't understand him. It's like we are speaking different languages and there is no way for me to communicate with this man. He's getting more and more frustrated so I offer him a glass of ice water, which he declines. Then he walks into my home and starts opening and closing my fridge, turning my water at the sink on and off, and I wondering what in the heck is going on. His frustration grows and I become fearful as I'm alone in the house with him. I call Del to explain this to him and he gets an attitude with me and says 'Steve only went to the hardware store. He'll be right back.' Fifteen minutes later Steve returns. I am beyond upset as I'm explaining what just happened. He gets an attitude with me, waves me off and says "we've been in business for 20 years and we've never had complaints." He goes on to say that he told Callie he was leaving, which Callie indicates he vehemently denies. Steve starts to yell at Callie which makes me very uncomfortable. I pat Callie's arm to indicate it's OK, I'm not upset with him. I tell Steve, "you left without letting anyone know, you leave me with a man with whom I cannot communicate, which frustrates both Callie and me." I told him to forget about the air ducts and pay him for just the dryer. And he says this: "I hope you won't hold this against us. We'll schedule for later to do you air ducts and you won't be disappointed." Not once did he or Del offer me any kind of financial compensation. In fact when I called Del after they left, he had the nerve to tell me to schedule the air duct cleaning and they will arrive on time and do a great job. Not until hell freezes over, dude. I've read through the reviews, and most of them are good. But the few that are not, had very similar experiences as I had. So, I'm sorry Del, but I will never, ever use you again and will tell all my friends, Yelp you and call Angie's list to complain as well.

For me personally, I would rather hire an excellent small business owner for a job around my home. My mom Saud she has not experienced such a great job from a national brand provider awhile back when she had her previous home serviced and they didn't even spend enough time to do a good job. Unlike, Arizona Vent Cleaners who just wowed my mom and I. He also kept the areas relatively clean because he brought his own sheets to cover the areas under tge ducts and vents. Very dishonest, worked for them for a while. they didn't like that I did the job right. They…read morecharged the client way too much for a tile job. They DO NOT seal their tile jobs. Nor do they use cement backer board which costs more for them but strengthens the tile's integrity, their design is the least effort design possible. A great tile job takes 5 to 6 days. but they push for a tile job to be in under three days. cool quick, but no. Tile jobs need to make sure the mortar is dry and then the grout is dry before using the sealant which would make a tile job last decades. Don't be surprised if your 3k dollar tile job done by them lasts only one year before there is a crack in the grout and then a leak from the shallow grout job lets water in. I don't do tile jobs anymore. But I only charge 800$ for any shower tile job. But I write books and I'm in MED school now. Forget construction, this is a group of heathens and thieves for the most part. I wish them luck with changing their priorities for honesty and workmanship. hard work doesn't always equate to good work. good work equates to good work. Good hard work is what people deserve, say if my wife needed a tile job done while I'm deployed to Afghanistan again. Ron P. then charges her 3K for a tile job that cost them 400$ to do. The tile job falls apart within the year long before I come home. What a perspective huh! I completed triple sealed tile jobs in 2009 and these tile jobs still look great with not one visible crack that is not easily fixed with silicone. I quit working for them after they refused to let me do all that I needed to do to do the tile job right (which cost them more) profit lost huh? I do not recommend them unless you don't mind your home smelling like cigarettes and your new 3K dollar tile job needing to be regularly maintained. My tip of the day, look for a contractor that wants to change lives, not one that wants to get rich.
