Do not buy from here! Paid over $6000 for a firepit, trouble from day one! It wouldn't light and they kept insisting that it was our incompetency, when finally after several calls and visits from them they sent a guy who finally fixed it! Fast forward we have own it now for 18months...of course out of warranty, and now a thermal coupler is broke and they keep giving us a round around about not having the part...its been over 6 weeks and still no resolution! I have been wanting to convert my wood-burning fireplace to a gas fireplace for some time. Suddenly, I found myself having to do a series of emergency repairs including a total re-piping of my home. I figured that since I was running new lines I would get the gas line installed. I then starting to talk to Michael B. at Flame Connection in regards to requirements and what they might have in stock, or could get quickly, if I wanted to go ahead with the project. After our talk, Michael quickly sent over ideas and showed me how to measure for an insert. A few days later I had selected a possible in stock insert and they sent Michael, (one of their installers) to see the fireplace, confirm measurements and to answer any questions. I was pleased to that point and decided to move forward. On the scheduled day Michael the installer returned with Kevin and they completed the installation quickly and without any drama. I was able to make my final payment to Michael and he went through all of the instructions and how to control the fireplace. I have been very pleased with both the assistance of the service staff and namely Michael B. as well as the installation staff of Michael and Kevin. I would recommend Flame Connection to others that are considering a fireplace, mantel, or even an outdoor kitchen set up. Again, they have been supportive, friendly, and they did not put me through a high pressure sales effort. Thanks for the new fireplace Flame Connection... After I had singed my eyelashes enough times lighting my gas fireplace, I had Flame Connection install a remote control starter and variable height control to my gas fireplace in November of 2020. Right before Christmas of 2023, I accidentally blew out the pilot light, right before Christmas, while trying to clean the dust off. I had family coming over on Christmas, and I wrote to Flame Connection in desperation, hoping they would tell me how to re-light it. Instead, they actually had one of their guys come over on Christmas Eve Day to re-light it!! Talk about service; I never expected that!! everything went well, and I can't thank them enough!! Yelp wanted a more helpful review so here you go. Flame Connection helped design our dream outdoor kitchen. It was one that we sketched out with Wayne and put a lot of thought into the design. After waiting for 3 delays - 3 weeks - they called the night before delivery to inform us that the builders they outsource to never started our project. While Wayne was incredibly helpful, the delays and lack of communication resulted in us not receiving the product we designed and initially ordered. I like them a lot but we are not overly thrilled with the attention to our order and the follow-up. read more

Customer service was sort of hit or miss. Some of the staff had excellent customer service while others not so much-- and they actually seemed a bit rude. Poor customer service. I went in to order a part several weeks ago, they called me at 12:27 on 5/24, to confirm I wanted the part, I called back at 1:07 and spoke with representative to order part. He said it would be ordered at the end that day or the beginning of the following and would be in within a week, and they would call when it arrived. My husband went in on Saturday June 3 to check on status, and found out our part was never ordered and the representative was terribly rude about the whole situation and insinuated the phone conversation never took place. Whereas it could have been handled with "sorry, it was our mistake and it didn't get ordered, let's fix this" Beautiful store, would have loved for it to work out but would recommend other local places for service and for Big Green Egg products read more

Very disappointed in Customer Service. The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because they have a nice show room and good selection. I honestly didn't think they even wanted our business. We walked in and was greeted right away, but the salesman acted as if we were bothering him with questions. We actually had to ask "so what are the next steps"...waiting for him to schedule an appointment to come out and measure our fireplace insert was like pulling teeth. Then he said "he was going to have to charge us for a service call"....and I asked if we could apply it to our purchase and he said no. So he lost the sale...... read more
