Leela is the owner of this spa and did an absolutely amazing job with our eyebrows and facials. She gave us 100% of her attention and spent a long time with my sister and I each to make our experience worth while. She came from the continental school of beauty and uses all Dermatologica products that are safe for any skin. She examined each of our skin before doing the facial and told us what skin type we had and explained each and every product she used for us. I had normal to oily skin and my sister's was different so she used different products on us and different methods of cleaning during the facial. I was surprised to find Unique Threading and was very happy I did. I've been threading my for about a year now and have come to realize that all mall threading places are the same. However, Unique Threading stands out from the rest. Leela, the owner, makes sure to remove ever last hair from your face to ensure that you are happy. While this is more time consuming that the other places, you'll thank her later when you don't find a leftover hair. Additionally, this is the first threading place that I went to that didn't cause my face to have a rash for a week- only two days (I have extremely sensitive skin)! The prices are very reasonable and are comparable to the other salons in Buffalo. Leela is very sweet and cares a lot about her customers. Moved here from NYC 3 years ago, and was shocked to find there was no threading studios here! I continued to get my eyebrows shaped while out of town because I wasn't happy with what I found in Buffalo. I was so happy to see a threading studio opened up that wasn't in the mall and Leela is awesome! She's been doing my eyebrows now for a few months and she's fantastic every time!! I decided to go in and give it a try. I was greeted by Leela, who owns the business. She is warm, energetic, and very welcoming. The studio itself is very well-kept and welcoming. Leela sat me down in the chair and went right to work threading my eyebrows and upper lip. She moves very quickly and was very precise with her work. Fair warning - I did tear up because I am a wimp and sometimes threading can pinch a little. But it's literally the best way to clean up areas in lieu of waxing. I've religiously gotten my eyebrows threaded for 8 years. I'm very loyal to my threaders...however one day I was in a pinch and needed something close to home and boy am I glad I found Leela. She is absolutely amazing! She takes her time as opposed to being done in 3 mins like my usual spot. She is super sweet and really listens to exactly what you want. I brought my friend in who has never had her eyebrows touched and Leela did an AMAZING transformation on her! As an Indian girl from Edison, it's been a struggle finding an eyebrow place in buffalo where my brows aren't ruined by overthreading. I've been here for three years and stopped getting them done for that reason. I saw this place on yelp and decided to try it out as I had an event to attend and my brows were atrocious. Leela is very sweet and talented. She shaped my eyebrows perfectly and didn't take off too much. The price is reasonable at ten dollars where most other places charge 12. Excellent threading salon right in the heart of downtown Buffalo: no more mall salon runs for me! I came in with overgrown and scraggly brows, and was really happy with the quick cleanup and shaping. Ticked all the boxes: hair removed at the root (more ouch, but also more long lasting); consistent shape for both brows; thorough removal of stray hairs. Aloe lotion is available at the end of you need/want it. Price was very fair for WNY: it's $15 for both brows and upper lip. Salon was quiet during opening hour - I was the only patron. Leelah is extremely talented and very precise. Since I found her and her adorable little shop on the Elmwood strip, I never miss a month. I've hated my eyebrows for many years, cannot see well and filling them in looks terrible. But when Leelah threads and tints them, I look like a different person! She ROCKS!!!
