OK, it's been 14 years and I visited this place again. It's still quite chaotic and a hot mess that I found some really good stuff here. I think I keep making the mistake of visiting on a weekend when really I need to visit during the week. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were tons of people and kids running wild, but the organization of the store seems to be a lot better. I only walked away with a few items, but it was J.Crew, Marmot and a fun Xmas sweater. Name is affiliated with the savers thrift store so if you have a savers number, you can enter it in here and get points.

It's pretty huge, i have been here in the past when i used to buy little golden books for my children. Now they are grown I don't really go here often. Today we went in the insistence of my daughter. She had all her friends in tow and they went at it. Thrifting is a big thing now especially with the inflation. I saw many diverse customers here. It can be a bit dusty and if you have dust allergies you will definitely sneeze. But many good finds BUT make sure ithe price is right. I saw dollar tree items and they are selling it for $1.99 what you mean it's $1.25 in the dollar tree. I did get a nice bamboo steamer for $3.99 it seems ok. We will see. My mother in law got a lot of stuff like church outfits and such. The prices are still kinda up there but she didn't mind she still bought so much stuff, hats bags and everything. I still feel that the prices should be a bit lower because it is used and donated.

Parking is abundant. I went in there the other day out of boredom cuz i was around there but i actually was surprised how well they are doing( customer wise). There were lots of people in there and they were absolutely doing their best accommodating everyone.. The store is pretty neat and organized, cleaning staff are everywhere lots of cloths and household's items. Check out is pretty fast and thats always important..

This place is my go place for really awesome random items, came in with the intention for a small side table came out with a old school desk. Everything is priced fairly, all products seem to be in fair to great working condition. No issues with any purchases from here. It can be very crowded at times and checkout can be a long process but it's totally Worth the wait.

Limoges for $1.99.

Man, this place is crowded on a Saturday afternoon! Maybe it is because it's a bargain hunter's paradise. It is very organized; like a Marshals on steroids. The vast majority is clothing. There is overhead signage for men's, women's, and kid's sections. Even within the women's area you can easily find what you are specifically looking for, like dresses or nighties. Signs are clearly posted. I found what I needed for my Halloween costume, and it was just $2.99! Awesome! I use to shop here often when I taught down the street. I bought lots of games and books for my classroom. One thing I noticed this time was that the book section has quadrupled in size. The pricing for books is not as cheap as the Georgia Avenue Thrift Store that I like to peruse. Books here start at $1.99, and are priced in two tiers based on the retail price regardless of the condition. Still, they have hundreds to chose from. Housewares are cheap for the most part. You never know what treasure you'll find. I nabbed a small precious Limoges plate for just $1.99! It's just waiting to serve cookies on with my afternoon tea. Post Note: The other half of the store has vendor booths. I've only been on that side once since the thrift side has everything I could need.

The VIP card you need for Thursday.

Trying to locate a thrift store I went to years ago while in Woodbine Md. It was 30 minutes or so away from Rambin Pines campround and would not allow you to try anything on. The store was huge and had a small flea next door - could this be it?

No. This store is between Bethedsa and Rockville, MD. Closer to Rockville.

It sounds like a great but busy place. When would you say is the "quietest" time? I'm not worried about sale day. Also what's final word on discounts for donations? I donate everything to Big Brothers Big Sisters & they give all to the store. Thanks!

They give you a receipt with a donation percentage on it. I've never taken advantage of the discount so I don't know how it works.

Does this company employ knowledgeable employees that know how to answer the phone and are able to let donors know what hours they are able to drop items off?

My guess, based on the way you worded your question, is no. I can tell you that they will take donations during all of their opening hours. This store has a drive up donation spot, and they will help you unload your car and give you a receipt on the… Read more

The last year or so that I've been shopping here, I have bought so many terrific dress shirts, ties, polo shirts, t-shirts, jeans, and more.

They are constantly changing what they offer, and they have a good selection of statement pieces. The sales staff has a good balance of letting you browse, and being helpful with suggestions. They are on top of making sure that you see the cute things that could complement what you're interested in. It doesn't come across as high pressure, it comes across as: "I see that you liked this floral skirt, we have a similar skirt that isn't floral, and we also have two different blouses that match that floral skirt." (I like having those options.) The prices tend to be reasonable, with some things a little high and some things amazing deals. The dressing rooms have a chair in them, so I'm not trying to balance like a stork and try things on. They always package things nicely when you check out. Tissue paper and a sturdy bag. Definitely would recommend.

Very sad experience and honestly one that felt like racial profiling…read more I made an appointment a month in advance to bring in a large amount of items for consignment (almost all of them were designer with tags attached). I arrived a few minutes early with my things and stepped away for about 6-8 minutes to use the restroom elsewhere since I was told I couldn't use theirs, which I understood. When I came back, the owner quickly told me she had already looked through everything and didn't want any of it. I was shocked because my things were clearly untouched and I had a suitcase with a number-code lock on it. I asked her twice if she had opened the suitcase, and she said yes, but I was aware that she never actually went through my things at all. I left upset and called the store afterward to confront her. She panicked, kept apologizing, and said she learned a big lesson from this. What is disappointing is that I was judged before I was even given a chance. I couldn't help but feel that my dark hair and brown skin played a role in how I was treated and that assumptions were made about what I may have brought in. No one should walk into a business and feel dismissed or stereotyped like that. I do not recommend consigning or shopping here.

I planned to attend (for a colleague) a sale being run by Capital, and I had to come a great distance to do so, so I reached out to find out a bit more as I was spending a bit of time/money to be there. I asked about pricing specifically as if it were going to be very high, I just would stay home. They would not reveal pricing, which is fine, but also would not even hint at the general level of items, which was not helpful as I pointed out that I was making a big commitment to be there. So, hundreds of dollars and many hours later, I arrived for the morning of the sale, which was being held at an offsite location. When we were let in it was painfully obvious that everything was in fact priced very high, in some cases even higher than retail. As we all know, none of us goes to a tag/estate sale to pay retail, we are there for bargains. When I complained about my time and money being wasted, the man I spoke to, who was clearly someone in charge, shrugged his soldiers and would not answer me. I guess it comes down to if you want to run tag sales, then you need to be priced accordingly and be willing to at least be honest about pricing and not waste people's time. Otherwise, just go run a a retail consignment gallery and leave tag sales to actual professionals.
