Finally made it over to Reddz Trading and I must admit they have some good pieces here (the accessories and bags). My issue is I was never greeted and the staff seemed so occupied the entire time I was in the store. Additionally, most of the merchandise as far as the clothes went are the same style. Not sure who does the purchasing for the place but spice up the racks a little. I also appreciated the luxury items as there were lots. Definitely a nice hidden gem. read more

I LOVE Reddz Trading! I always make an effort to tune into Wendy's live videos on Saturdays as well. She has a great vibe. So great to shop at local businesses. I've gotten 3 pieces from here now, a Burberry wristlet, a Louis Vuitton bag for my mom (which she used so much!), and my Prada heels. buyers beware Shopped at Reddz as i do frequently. I drove from annapolis MD to try on and purchase a GUCCI pump. As soon as i walked in i picked the pump up tried it on and picked up a few other things and walked around the shoes fit perfectly. I only tried on one was in the store for 35 mins still looking. A lady walked up to me very rudely and said thats my shoe I just tried them on and was about to purchase , i said and so was I. I drove from Annapolis just for this shoe, i stated you didn't try on this shoe i had it in my hand for 35 mins, she said i did try it on and put it down. I said oh well I'm sorry i want to buy it as well so i dont know what's about to happen. i continue shopping another customer came up to me and said she is so rude did the same thing to me and said let me look in your bag so you have my shoe? i just shook my head. After a few minutes the owners daughter came out and said she called Wendy- the owner. Wendy said it's only fair to give the show to the other customer since she asked for the mate first or tried it on first! I said i tried it on as well so how does she get to purchase the shoe and i am a frequent customer of yours as well. She said i know that, but we are not going to turn this into an argument over a shoe i really didn't appreciate her even saying that. But okay cool, then she said i'm going to take care of you with a gift card, i kindly handed her back the shoe out the other pieces down that i was going to buy and vowed to never return again! The moral of the story is i will no longer shop where I am not appreciated for spending thousands of dollars there. They have just lost one of their best customers, also Wendy-the owner replied to my posting and had my original posting taken down! i would also like to say i didn't one to give them any stars but i guess you don't have a choice! read more

I love the Georgetown location and will occasionally visit Bethesda, when I'm running errands in Maryland. Clothing prices are really great and both locations seem to have a good mix of professional and going out clothing. Only giving three stars because the staff here typically aren't that friendly. It's hit or miss if you're holding a pile of clothes and someone will offer to start you a fitting room. I tried visiting tonight, but as soon as I walked inside, the two girls working stated they were closing at 6. Since it wasnt 6 yet, I asked if I could still look around for a couple minutes and waited for a response. They both heard me because we were just talking, but they ignored my question while I stood waiting for a response, so I would leave--which I did. This Reddz Trading store has changed a LOT - for the worse! I used to sell my designer items there regularly several years ago, and the staff was much more sophisticated, and thus aware of labels, and what it means for a tag to say, "Made in Italy"! Most of all, they used to be FAIR in their offerings for each piece. I was there yesterday expecting the same fair service. I brought a bag full of 12 items from high-end area stores and with designer labels - but they were oblivious, rejecting 9 items (NEW, never worn Italian labels) - and they offered me a very low amount for the 2 items that they did buy. And I took back one 3rd item because it was a NEW (tag attached) very stylish faux leather skirt, and it would have been a steal if I had sold it to Reddz for $7.00. I will NEVER go back there again! I told them that I can do much better by selling on Poshmark! They need to know that they have competition! read more

I love Reddz and the owner is lovely! I have been shopping here for years and have found some gorgeous clothing. Every once in a while, you will come across a store employee that doesn't have the best attitude...but that is EVERYWHERE! Times have changed and it's hard to find good, customer service oriented people these days. But if you can get past that, most of the people working there are friendly and helpful and you can find some really nice items. Shocking! The moment you walk in - the vibe screams NYC boutique staff. Haughty and dismissive. You have to get their attention- even with a scheduled appointment to sell. Didn't have high expectations. Especially when the sales associate had zero customer service or communications skills. Four items of the dozen they threw on the counter, I was told to circle back when they make a decisions. Lol. Again- NO COMMUNICATION SKILLS and certainly no phone etiquette. Ten minutes to rummage thru lightly worn St Johns, brand new Louboutin heels and Tory Burch hand bags (items in their original bags/boxes never exposed to the elements) were quotes each under $100.00. Better opportunities in NOVA, online, and Jersey. Was hopeful for a closet purge. Given the clientele and the staff- no need to step foot in their doors. Unfortunate representation of the Bethesda area- especially the "Amber Heard" wanna be that has no concept of consignment. Received a pleasant and professional follow up from the proprietor. Personable and eager to reflect on the experience and how to improve. It was enlightening to know and feel heard. Stopped in as I strolled around downtown Bethesda to take a look. First time and probably last - nice enough layout, plenty of room to browse and sections easily identifiable from jewelry to shoes to dresses etc. but I didn't find the selection to be all that vast and a number of items were a bit more beyond "gently used" than I expected. Was not greeted when I entered, in fact, other than the woman at the cashier, have no idea who was working there. A suggestion for the immediate future. When you're broadcasting your live sales and purchases are made please give the option to pick the items up same day at the actual location of the live sale. As a repeat customer I found it very disappointing to find that my purchase from the live (md store) had been transferred to your dc location store. I literally drove in rush hour for an hour with my infant only to show to the store and be told my purchase was taken to the other store location. Which at that point was closing time and not available until the next day. Not cool. My time is my money. I love you guys %100 and think it would only make sense to have the option to pick up at said live location. I used to love going here, but the service and clothing choices have gone downhill. None of the workers greeted the customers as they entered. There is limited variety in terms of size large clothes. The few items they offer aren't a size large at all they are sizes 6/8. The purses are strung a little too high up to reach. The shoes on the top shelf near the sale section are too high up to view. The racks were disorganized and had plenty of empty hangers mixed in. They enforce customers to wear masks and they provide hand sanitizer which is what gives them at least two stars. I've consigned here a few times and like other Yelpers, I find the staff very cold and dismissive. I have boxes of designer stuff that I won't be taking to Reddz due to their poor staff. The staff treats you like you're doing them a favor when really they should be THANKING you for providing merchandise that other people can buy! Instead of greeting you with a warm smile, they don't even bat an eye. It's actually quite impressive how I have never encountered a pleasant staff member at Reddz. really don't understand why they're so stuck up when they work in a second hand store. The merchandise in the store is heavily used and way over priced. Honestly, you are much better off going to Nordstrom Rack or the outlets. Street parking and a few nearby garages. Top 40s playlist to shop to. If Goodwill drank from Bethesda's bougie punch, this would be it. Shoes and purses displayed in multiple areas of the well-lit space, plus a small men's section in part of the back corner of the store. Jewelry at the counter. Staff members are friendly and fairly attentive. This place is pretty sweet, but more so if you're built like you'll blow away in the wind. An hour and a half of browsing three sections my first trip yielded one pair of stilettos, a necklace, a bracelet, and two cocktail dresses. I saw a lot more cute stuff that didn't quite fit me and/or my style-- kind of depressing when you've lost more weight than a family-size bag of rice and still measure as a large. The staff tries to keep on top of customers replacing items in the wrong size section, but as with any secondhand shop it's best to allot plenty of time to peruse inventory. I ended up passing on the heels (too rich for my blood considering the amount of wear already on them Chanel kicks) but I scored the rest of my loot for under $75. I'll definitely be back every season to comb the racks, sales and not. A little more feng shui and their organization by section might almost make sense. Always checking pilling and seam stitching, some stains and tears here and there. Note: I've not had any noticeable problems with customer service, but I feel like the jewelry tends to be close to end of shelf-life; I've had a bracelet and two necklaces from here break on me after only a few uses... re-beading and repairing is a b! My first time here at this red accent charming boutique on the corner of Woodmont & Norfolk aka the Woodmont Triangle. This high-level consignment store offers secondhand designer clothing, shoes, accessories & my favorite...jewelry. Reddz provides a huge inventory tagged as "gently worn" items that actually looks brand new. The neatly organized displays & racks offers a variety of styles & sizes with a huge shoe & handbag offering designer labels such as Chanel & Gucci. My cyclops view even caught some merchandise with original tags still attached & sale items that are crazy good & as low as $3. Note, you won't find great discounts as this consignment prices are still high for high end items. Bria & Salina's friendly service was causal & not intrusive. This place has gone downhill. I haven't been here in a few years, but looks like I haven't missed much. The staff aren't very friendly for working in customer service. As a cashier and working in a consignment shop, I don't understand their snobbish attitudes. Shopping or selling here just isn't a pleasant or favorable experience. Their phone etiquette is also lacking. Saying "Hello, thank you for calling Reddz, how can I help you today?" is a start. Think "Pretty Woman" scene as she enters the store on Rodeo, except this is not rodeo and nobody deserves those bad energy vibes the cashiers put out there. Their selection and bargains are far less competitive to what you could find scouting online platforms. They're also not at all flexible with appointment times, if you're late at all, forget it. This is a great little find in the heart of Bethesda! The store is large, bright, and open -- with a carefully curated selection of clothing at various price points and styles. After stuffing my belly, I thought it would be an awesome idea to walk around, and this is where I ended up. Pretty inviting from the large windows, plus the fam bam stated that they had some good experiences previously. Nice large space once inside, things were separated based on sale items, dresses, tops, bottoms etc. There was even a small men's selection. Take note, that even though things were supposedly separated by size, there were some mix ups, which can happen. Definitely need patience to peruse the racks, I mean you never know what Medium you'll find in that XS rack.... The selection of shoes were alright, in my opinion they lacked the smaller sizes (I'm a 6.5-7) and some of the shoes that I noticed were well too worn to be sold. I don't care who designed them. There is decent mix of 'high' end and and not so high end pieces. I thought the higher end pieces were fairly priced but some of the not so high end pieces, like Banana, J. Crew, and Tory Burch I felt were a wee bit too high. Some of the clothes were in great condition; where as others I noticed not so much. I was a little taken aback by that. I found a fabulous dress that I wanted to try on, but in taking down the zipper on the back the dress was frayed. Totally didn't dig that. They had a nice selection of accessories and bags. Many of the bags were behind glass and required assistance from staff. The staff were helpful enough, and offered to start a fitting room for you if they noticed that you were carrying a load. It's just too damn easy to stroll over on my lunch break. Anyway. The store still doesn't have a return policy, but I'm adding a star because I just can't help myself. The staff are really friendly, I like the music they play, I can sell a few more items that the Seed wouldn't take, I'm going to look fabulous this summer, and to be honest retail therapy is exactly what I need right now. Walking in here feels like stepping into a Mean Girls clubhouse. As others have noted, most of the staff is really dismissive, cold, or even a little rude. Today the women at the jewelry counter were nice (and the jewelry selection is the only cute stuff I saw), but the women at the cashier were so cold. They talk to you without even making eye contact, looking past you or around the store instead. I've never felt less welcome in a place of business, yikes! I've never successfully bought or sold a single thing here, and usually have great luck at these types of stores. The condition of the clothes at Reddz is consistently the most heavily used, but the prices don't reflect it. For more stylish casual options, I prefer Remix (formerly Mustard Seed) with its better prices and even better condition. For more upscale, I think the prices/condition at Current Boutique are also better. I'd rather pay $60-80 for a dress at Current in pretty great shape, than $55-65 for one in terrible shape at Reddz. I'd give them another shot, but after multiple frosty experiences with the staff, I'm happier to stay loyal to Remix and Current instead. read more

Honestly the worst place for consignment in the DC area. They stop buying items an hour before they close. Which is unheard of. If I walk in at 7:05 with a bag full of designer items, you mean to tell me that you can't even look at them? A huge waste of my time. I've been buying and selling at Reddz for a few years now and I have no complaints. The perk of selling here is there is no appointment necessary and there is instant payout. They have a wonderful assortment of styles year round. I like to check out the preppy styles (Lilly Pulitzer) in the summer and more boho styles (Free People) in the in the winter. As for customer service, I think they are great for the most part. Trust me, I do not look like I am dressed to the nines, AT ALL. I come in wearing rainbow flip flops and college t-shirt, and still get greeted when I walk in. Sometimes I get greeted by my first name, again, I don't walk in with a Louis Vuitton and a Mercedes key fob... I walk in with a IKEA bag and a Honda key fob. I'm an avid resale shopper. This is my favorite consignment shop in Bethesda. If you have some more time and don't mind digging I recommend going to some of the thrift shops in Washington DC, lots of designer gems. read more

I have sold clothes at Reddz Trading before without incident which led me to book another appt to sell Fall clothing. I had asked SPECIFICALLY if they take mens work clothes. I had a lot of recently dry cleaned designer suits and button down shirts on hangers. I parked in the alley next to the store to unload the heavy load of suits. The sales woman at the counter saw me coming in with these suits and shirts because it took me 2 trips to get everything in the store. After I got everything out of the car I drove across the street to park legally. By the time I got back to the store she had reviewed everything I brought in. She told me they don't take mens suits "unless it's Chanel". Huh? You stood there and watched me struggle to bring in 2 trips worth of mens clothing. Why didn't she stop me and tell me that before? Not to mention I was told men's clothes were accept and these were designer suits. Also..if I had a Chanel suit to sell..I certainly wouldn't sell it there! I'm disappointed by the customer service and condescending attitude of the woman behind the counter. I will now send everything to The Real Real though I preferred supporting a local business. Just came back from another trip to Reddz, which I've now been to 3-4 times. Here are the pros and cons: PRO: - There are some surprisingly good deals, like a very gently used Prada dress for $40 and an equally gently used Jason Wu dress for $45. I doubt you'd ever see prices like that at other consignment shops in the DC area (thinking Secondi, Ella-Rue). - There's quite a bit of stock here. The shop is large, but not warehouse-large. CON: - Not everything is in great shape. Things with rips, stains, and other issues I'd normally expect not to make it onto the floor in the first place do seem to end up on sale, but it means I always have to go over an item with a fine-tooth comb before seriously considering it. - Sizes are pretty inconsistent - there seems to be a ton of small stuff (sizes 0-4) and very little medium (sizes 6-10). I'll definitely be back, but it's a good idea to bring a friend who can look over items with you. read more

This is a long time coming - and I have decided to avoid the unfriendly staff and more than tired clothing and shoes - ageism is rampant in my opinion. I am especially turned off that NO ONE acknowledges I am in the store. Lights out a 5:45 and rude, rude, rude. When I asked what time it was they were evasive. I walked home - (15 minute walk) and it was 6:06. The shop is dusty and dirty, although there is a checklist in the fitting room. They don't have a broom or a vacuum. Staffers are more on thier phones and chatting with ea other than watching the shop. Many of the clothes have tears and holes - be very aware of sweaters - the staffers don't look. I have bought and sold here. The stock is fairly inconsistent in quality, cleanliness, style, and price. In recent months, I've found most items fairly boring and shapeless. Like other reviewers, I find the pricing model wildly careless. When selling here, the "buyers" are pretty arrogant and dismissive, as other reviewers have written. They tend to behave like tastemakers, yet in a market/neighborhood where adult women of all ages shop, Reddz sense of style is neither classy nor hip. I came in earlier this summer and left with a bag full of nice stuff that the buyer told me to bring back in the fall. I did, and the new buyer said she couldn't take anything. Another place down the road took 14/20 items the same day. I know where I'll be selling in the future. I may still shop at Reddz, when I have time to kill. read more

Rude. I've been a customer here for a while. It's hit and miss. Most recently, I bought a black cashmere duster that ended up having a big hole in it that I didn't notice until I got home. The last time I was there, I inquired about selling. I was told to check the website before I came in to make sure what they are currently buying. Today, I took in two bags of "transitional spring" as was indicated on their website only to be told, rudely, that they are only taking spring items -- and that they are being strict about it. So the website wasn't helpful at all. Apparently they will sell sweaters with holes in them though, even though their website says they don't accept them. What a waste of time. As the reviewer with the Chanel bag and the one with the Burberry scarf noted, there's not proper vetting of whether designer goods coming through here are authentic. I bought a BV bag when they got a batch of "vintage" BV purses in (I guess that should have been the first red flag--who has five "like new"/unused vintage purses of the same brand?) I asked multiple times of different sales associate if they did an authenticatication check and was reassured each time. I found a typo on the label included inside--something that I've seen on fakes coming in from China. I brought it back to the store, bringing it to the front desk next to the sign that reads, in all caps, "It is illegal to sell counterfeit goods." Had a mini back-and-forth with the manager, who then told me that she will check with the seller on whether s/he wants to get the purse authenticated by a third party. I was shocked to hear that they didn't do this initially. I don't consider myself a purse authentication expert, but had strong doubts and didn't want to spend the amount I did if there was no validation. Got a call the next day saying that the seller doesn't think it's worth the hassle but swears that it's authentic (though Purse Forum posters likewise seemed skeptical that a designer, even of a vintage piece, would misspell "greasy" as "grewasy" on a label.) If someone doubted your credibility, especially for FIVE items, wouldn't you want to reassure them at a minimal cost? Adding a star because the refund process was relatively painless. However, I remain wary that in spite of my concerns over the authenticity of the BV batch, they still kept the unsold BV items out on the sales floor.... read more

I've been to the Bethesda branch many times as a buyer and finally took some items in for selling, as I am now familiar with the items sold there. As I arrived the salesgirl yapped at me to see if I had an appointment and then told me to come back in a while. There was no hello, no eye contact. Had I treated a client thus - no more job, honey. When I returned, she said there was nothing of the brands that they needed and could take nothing, leaving me perplexed as DVF, Rag and Bone, Equipment, Karen Millen, Ted Baker all seem to be right up their alley? So I would counsel future customers to save your time, your parking fees, your day even, and use your on-line resources - Thred Up, eBay, Poshmark, RealReal. I tried the store out but 1st let me say the way Im always greeted is terrible. they either look the other way when I walk in or treat me as if I was an annoyance. This is not the 1st time... When I have purchased a few Items in the past from a funny skinny young black guy who apparently no longer works there or when I have purchased via telephone when picking up item the cashier always has a horrible attitude. I don't own nice enough things to sell here so I cannot attest to the sellers' experiences, but I enjoyed my experiences here. I came here half a dozen times and spent ungodly amount of time browsing through things. All those times I got very friendly service. On weekends this store is full of friends, mother-daughter shoppers just having a great time. And with so many items browse through, I always spend twice the time I plan to spend. I am size 10/12 and I found quite a few items at fantastic prices. Yes, you do get more choices if you are size 0-6 but they do carry dresses, pants, and shirts for bigger girls like me.)
