I absolutely love this store! I came in for the first time randomly while waiting for a friend and I'm so glad I did. It's super size inclusive and they have a little bit of everything. Fia, thank you for keeping the DC thrift scene alive! I visited Fia's Fabulous Finds about a month ago and am beyond pleased with my thrifting experience. Being from out of town, I've been eager to find a shop that embodies the essence of a good thrift experience- quality clothing at outstanding prices. Fia plays wonderful soul music and her shop smells like fresh eucalyptus, with the help of some diffusers strategically flowing throughout. Women's clothes and more "designer" items are located in the central room when you enter; the room behind it is mens, and behind that contains shoes and jackets as well as other miscellaneous items. DON'T SKIP THE BASEMENT! Fia has a sick deal where you can fill a bag with as much clothing as you can for $40. I was downstairs exploring all the goodies for a solid hour. I think I left with 20 items - including J Crew, Armani Exchange, and Tahari - for $65. I told Fia I heard about her on Reddit and she beamed from ear to ear, service could not have been any better. This is my first time here! It was nice there is a lot of looking through stuff; which is cool I don't mind. I ended up getting a dress and a purse. (I'll share pics) Pros They have many styles and designs. They have lots of shoes as well. I didn't see many 8's or 8.5's. I was greeted when I first came into the establishment. Eugene was very professional. Cons I wasn't informed about the bargain basement deals. I heard the lady ahead of me said she got a whole bag for $1. I thought that was a cool deal. But it was never mentioned to me about how that works. But I did say this was my first time here. This is a consignment or thrift store, I love thrifting. The only thing I would change about this experience is the shoes on the floor. I tripped over three different pairs of shoes! They were placed too close by the threshold! Nevertheless, I would come back because I love looking for great items. But if your not into looking for things this wouldn't be the place for you! Btw, I did get 15% off for checking in but I didn't go to my total It went to one item because the purse I got was already 50% off. read more

There's no organization - you will dig and look for everything. It took me an hour to go through the shop - it has 3 sections. It does have some plus sized, but I was hoping for more options. There was about half a rack/ 3/4th of plus sized options all together. There's no pricing on items, you take it to the owner and she tells you what it's worth/price. read more

I have been to many consignment shops in the D.C. area and have not come to a place that is similar to Fia's. In addition to her inventory she has awesome events with her shop as well. My favorite is Fill a Bag for $25, which she hosts every month! Just as the title suggests, her overstock is placed in the basement and she opens her doors to the community to fill a bag for $25. I called asking about trading clothes for cash and whomever answered the phone (most likely the female in charge) stated "I don't accept clothes like that". I asked what do you mean and she repeated the same statement. After asking for clarification, she stated she gets her clothes from Nordstrom, and other stores. Looking at the pics, these clothes are not new. However, she was a little brute and rude as she had no idea my clothes are new with tags from Saks 5th Ave and include luxury bags. Huge fan of Fias. I've come multiple times on my trips to DC and always walk away with a new purchase. Clothing 4/5: Fia collects designed and brand name clothing for women only, no men's wear and limited children's. She does include special racks for plus size, so there's a good range in size. There's a definitive style throughout which isn't quite my taste, but digging through the racks you're sure to find something you like. Price 5/5: don't expect dollar deals here. She takes good care of her clothing so there's almost no wear and tears or stains. Designer brands like J Crew and Franco Sarto range. A pair of j crew pants were $24, a sweater $28, Franco sarto heels $15. Go for the bag sales and always check out the basement where clothes range from $5-$10. Atmosphere 4/5: the store is very tight so busy days can be frustrating trying to sort through the tightly packed racks. She has a DJ and margaritas every first Friday of the month. It's very clean and the customer service has always been wonderful. They accept credit cards. read more

The store has 3 areas and are well organized so that you can get around to all the items. Only negative is that there's no a/c so it was a bit warm inside but that's the only downside. Pretty small place, but for the size, there's an ok selection. Their basement deals and fill a bag sales are definitely amazing, but you have to be willing to dig and there's no trying on for basement items. My mom got a pair of brand new looking pants from the basement for a couple of dollars. They have some new jewelry for sale at the cash register that can yield some great finds. I got a claw bracelet from there that I always get compliments on! Prices on the first floor are pretty reasonable. They're actively buying and selling plus size clothes, which can be unusual for consignment stores, so that's a nice bonus. When I asked about consigning, the owner specifically said she's looking for more plus size items. If you sign up to get emails from them, they're constantly sending updates about their special events, fill a bag sales, and discounts. read more

Ms. Fia was truly a joy & take pride in finding quality gently used designer items for her clientele. I heard about the bag sale, which is for $25, you can fill a bag with as many clothes, shoes, and purses as you want in the basement. I normally have so-so luck with thrifting, but I found SO much that my bag was full in 30 minutes. The upstairs area also has jewelry, more clothes, and more shoes and I ended up buying even more. Why have I waited so long to visit Fia's?! If you're a bargain hunter, designer lover, or any combination of the two, you need to get there ASAP. The cozy consignment shop has a solid selection of gently worn high end clothes and accessories for all women of all fashion styles. For the most part each item was priced appropriately (H&M and some department store brands were priced a little high in my opinion) if not at a ridiculously low price for the quality of the good. What I really enjoyed about the selection was that it catered to many different styles but still maintained a fashion-forward vibe. When you're trying to stretch your dollar and look stylish, it's important to find classic and versatile pieces that will make your wardrobe pop. Fia's meets those criteria and much more. If you're a true bargain hunter or not deterred by chaos, head down to the bargain basement. Serendipitously I happened to visit Fia's when the store has the $20 bag sale where you pay $20 to fill a large brown bag with whatever you can. Some items are seriously dated (for the right person it works!) but there are some truly hidden gems. For example, I scored a brand new with original tags Missoni skirt ($495!), a new black cashmere sweater, J.Crew cords, Dana Buchman navy blue jacket with gold zippers, and some other casual tops. Additionally snagged a very gently worn pair of black booties. I'm quite particular about secondhand shoes but these looked like they had never been worn. I spent a good amount of time down in the basement and I think I walked out like a fashionable bandit. Everyone in the store, from Fia to the customers, are all friendly and social. This shopping experience, much like the ability to enjoy the nuances in any other visual fine art, is best appreciated by those who have a trained eye and savvy sartorial skill. I wandered in with a friend, expecting to make cheery small talk and window shop. The first thing I saw was a vintage piece from a LEGENDARY French couturier. I tried to ignore it and moved away. It followed me and whispered "You know you want me". 3 hours and four shopping bags later (ladylike restraint, thank you), all I can say is I will keep Madame Fia on speed-dial. I found out about Fia's by attending a vendor pop up shop event that was held in DC a few weeks ago. During the event, I noticed that Fia's items were the most unique and reasonably priced as well! (DC has a reputation for hiking up their vintage and consignment items, which I hate) Anyway, after getting some awesome deals at the event, I was informed about the fill a bag for $20 every 2nd Sunday of the month event. AND OMG! Can you say deal! Day of the fill your bag for $20: I made it there by 11am, thinking that I was still making good time... (NOPE!) People were already there filling their bags with great finds, as I hurried to get my own brown bag inside the store to start my own treasure hunt. The result: I found enough things (11 clothing items and 1 pair of zara pumps) to fill a whole bag and only paid $20. Some other great things about this store, is its so well organized. And most of the clothes are designer, but very reasonably priced. There's also a nice dressing room for you to try on your items. The staff is wonderful too... they'll definitely make you feel welcomed and make your shopping experience wonderful. I will be a regular at Fia's Fabulous Finds and do recommend any fashionistas looking for a sweet deal to give Fia's a try as well. read more

This place is such a gem! I live in the area and the only thing I can think that has stopped me from not going earlier is laziness and law school. Either way, I'm glad I made my way here. I just wanted to add - again - how much I love this store. Recently I started a new job, after grad school and then working at home, and needed some conservative clothing. Not the sequin mini skirts and head to toe lululemon I tend towards when left to myself. The owner never makes me feel pressured to buy anything and in fact informed me that one top was a bit much for my new field. In a nice way. Also - this block is seeing some nice growth with several restaurants opening including the Petworth Citizen. They have such a glorious chandelier over the toilet that it will have you chugging water all night. Street parking is still easy tho. read more

The store is bigger than you'd think from looking at the outside--there's a huge basement that always has great sales (on already very affordable things...) and there's a back room just full of shoes! The jewelry selection is very good, and the $5 grab bag did not disappoint.
