I'll preface this review by saying that I am very familiar with consigning and selling clothing to local businesses, and with selling clothing myself online. I do not expect retail prices for my items, but I do expect basic courtesy when I bring items in for review. A couple weeks ago I was in the area, and had a large bag of clothing in my car, so I figured I'd drop in and see if they could take any of it. I've sold to Reddz in the past, both this location and the Georgetown location, and know what they usually purchase, in terms of styles and brands. My items were folded, relatively neatly, in a large bag, and contained some of the commonly sold brands at Reddz such as Nanette Lepore, Trina Turk and Rebecca Taylor, to name a few. I filled out the form and left my bag of clothes at the desk, and then shopped around a bit with my boyfriend while I waited for the tall blonde woman to review my items. After about 30 minutes (maybe a little less, it seemed like quite a while, but it was fairly busy that day, as it was a weekend), she barked my name, shoved my items towards me and told me they were passing on all of them. I politely asked if anything would be considered for other seasons and was told in a very rude tone that they "didn't buy those items or brands." Sure, lady, whatever you say. Those same brands were on the racks I was just browsing. I'd also like to point out that at a size 2-4 and size 6.5-7 shoe, I'm a fairly average size, so it's not like I'm outside their purchasing size range (some stores only buy sizes 2-12, or shoes 6-10, and no petites/talls, no wides/narrows. I didn't bring my wide troll shoes in, because I keep those, haha. the normal widths all get resold because they pinch my feet, but I digress.) I'd have had NO issue with her passing on items because they were out of season, or taking some things and not others, or whatever. It was the attitude, and the passing on everything because she clearly took a dislike to me for some unknown reason. Was it my unruly dark hair? My chewbacca boots? My somewhat short stature? Did she see my Pontiac Aztek parked outside the window and turn me down based on that? I'll never know. All I know is that I will never shop there again, and I'm telling everyone I know to send their business elsewhere. I'm shocked that a business allows an employee to speak to customers in this manner, to be honest. She was rude and condescending-and nothing like the other employees I've sold to in prior years. What happened to the lovely ladies who used to work there? Best part is that Mustard Seed, Current Boutique and Buffalo Exchange all took the items that were rejected by her. ALL of them. TL; DR Tall blonde with pole up her butt disses my clothes because they aren't brands they carry, never mind that they are the very same brands on the racks and displayed in the windows. Sell same bags of clothes to other, better consignment/resale stores later in the week without issue. read more

I've been to the Bethesda branch many times as a buyer and finally took some items in for selling, as I am now familiar with the items sold there. As I arrived the salesgirl yapped at me to see if I had an appointment and then told me to come back in a while. There was no hello, no eye contact. Had I treated a client thus - no more job, honey. When I returned, she said there was nothing of the brands that they needed and could take nothing, leaving me perplexed as DVF, Rag and Bone, Equipment, Karen Millen, Ted Baker all seem to be right up their alley? So I would counsel future customers to save your time, your parking fees, your day even, and use your on-line resources - Thred Up, eBay, Poshmark, RealReal. Save yourself the negativity at Reddz. read more

Not the best experience, but it'll do. Reddz Trading takes a wide range of brands, so I wasn't that intimidated walking in with a bag full of express/nordstrom/forever21 threads. But the store is kind of weird. They'll say hi when you walk in, but they don't offer real customer service. I gave them my things and they told me they would be done in 20 minutes. I came back after 20 minutes and they hadn't looked at my things yet. They rudely told me it would take some more time and that I should wait. Now if you've read my past reviews you know I'm a big deal, and that I don't like being treated otherwise. These women definitely treat their customers like they're doing you a favor. Which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Especially in the retail business. I wasn't really interested in shopping, but I did browse. I can't say I saw anything worthy to purchase. The "brand names" they had I could purchase on sale at the mall/online or at Marshalls effortlessly at similar prices. For 5 of my pieces I got 28 dollars. I had to specifically ask how much they were giving me for each item, because they'll just give you a grand total if you don't ask. They passed up on, what I thought, were some great pieces, so it's a little hard to tell what they want. I don't know if wasting an 1 hour on a trip here was worth the 28 dollars. However, it was a learning experience. I'll be more comfortable selling my clothes here next time around. But truthfully, I'll probably dread the errand. read more

I have sold clothes at Reddz Trading before without incident which led me to book another appt to sell Fall clothing. I had asked SPECIFICALLY if they take mens work clothes. I had a lot of recently dry cleaned designer suits and button down shirts on hangers. I parked in the alley next to the store to unload the heavy load of suits. The sales woman at the counter saw me coming in with these suits and shirts because it took me 2 trips to get everything in the store. After I got everything out of the car I drove across the street to park legally. By the time I got back to the store she had reviewed everything I brought in. She told me they don't take mens suits "unless it's Chanel". Huh? You stood there and watched me struggle to bring in 2 trips worth of mens clothing. Why didn't she stop me and tell me that before? Not to mention I was told men's clothes were accept and these were designer suits. Also..if I had a Chanel suit to sell..I certainly wouldn't sell it there! I'm disappointed by the customer service and condescending attitude of the woman behind the counter. I will now send everything to The Real Real though I preferred supporting a local business. Too bad. You've lost a customer. read more

High quality clothes and bag and shoes they have. No doubt to enjoy the shopping and buy here read more

Decided to give this place a try, and curious how this place gave Mustard Seed a run for their money. The place is big, a lot of space and clothes, they definitely have more clothes than Mustard Seed, and the clientele is a mix bag, you got tweens, college students, 30 somethings and even older. Been here 3 times and I have always found cute things for decent prices but I do agree with Celeste about the staff. They are rude, and don't even acknowledge that you walked into the store. I was waiting to pay for my awesome finds and the lady behind the counter didn't even look up after I asked if I could pay for the items. She just said "give me a minute" and proceeded to chat up some other customer. I don't expect great customer service, but some kindness and at least a smile would be nice. So to sum it up: Clothes: pretty wide selection in prices and brands Staff: left a lot to be desired for read more

Selling Review~ *Reminder: They only buy items in season!* I learned this the hard way, after lugging in a massive bag full of spring/summer pieces that I bought but never bothered to wear in the middle of November. They'll always take designer clothing items though, as well as designer purses, accessories, sunglasses, etc. I did some basic research before coming in to sell my stuff, cus offering $5 for a $100 Coach bag ain't gonna fly, homefry. They're fair with their offers, usually offering a cash value of 30% of the initial price your item will be sold at in store. (You'll get 40% of the value if you decide to trade in for store credit instead.) I got a cash value of about 40% of the amount that I may have been able to get if I sold the items personally on eBay. I couldn't make it rain with the cash I left the store with, but really, who wouldn't be happy with some extra cash to burn on a Saturday afternoon? :) read more

I've done over 12 transactions with Reddz, so I think I'm due for a review. Reddz is, in my opinion, a necessary staple in Bethesda. Bethesdans have superior styles and I won't mind they hardly / ne'er worn items! The Good: -You can sell anytime up to 1 hour before closing. This is a dream after dealing with Mustard Seed. -The selection: vast - from Forever 21 to LaRok to DVF and beyond. I like having the high-lo mix! -The space - organized and constantly rearranged (for the better/ to adjust for each season). I like a store that never gets stale. -The label - sizes, price, and season are accurately and clearly labeled on EACH garment. I don't know this is such a treat, but it takes out a lot of mystery for me in the fitting room. -Store Card: the moment you sell and want store credit instead of cash, you're handed this card. You can use every penny of it right away, and I don't believe it expires. I haven't been to any other reseller that has a card. The Bad: -I once sold and made the mistake of not asking for my receipt. ASK FOR YOUR RECEIPT!!! I got my "cash" amount on my card and was disappointed that I was out of 20 dollars. -I needed cash and sold 6 beloved luxury items from Paris for a mere 16 dollars cash. I don't know what happened, but that felt pretty low. I'm glad several people got their new favorite item, but I wish I had gone in with a set minimum I would accept from each piece. Prices are a mystery, but it is a business - I've, fairly, gotten 30 dollars for a gorgeous cocktail dress. My best finds: -A huge, nude, leather satchel from Cynthia Rowley without a single scratch, mark, or discoloration to either the exterior of the canvas interior - $60bucks (orig $370ish). -A pair of never worn gorgeous wool Theory pants that just won't wrinkle - I've worn it to work so many times that the ppw is probably a penny - $40 (orig. $400). -A forever 21 black ruffled trapeze top - Forever 21 is overwhelming, as a store, so I'm sure they get it right sometimes, this top looks delicate, but is sturdy enough for the washer(!) and looks brand new, still ~$16ish (forever 21 stuff is generally priced higher than you'd actually pay for forever 21 stuff, but it's select) -A gorgeous blue bcbg silky dress - def. black tie worthy. ~$5 on the sale rack read more

I went here to sell and/or trade several very lightly used pairs of shoes and my experience was just awful. As I was filling out the form to have my items reviewed , a tall blond lady came out and without so much as a "hello" started sorting through the shoes I had brought, poking around disdainfully and mumbling to the others behind the counter. While sorting through my stuff, she picked up a pair of Kate Spades as if it was covered in bubonic plague, not even bothering to hide the fact that she clearly thought they weren´t authentic and as she put them down, proceeded to inform me in the rudest possible way that they would be "passing on all my things today" because they were "too summery". I can understand that they weren´t looking for the type of stuff that I brought , but they could at least be polite about it!! I strongly advice taking your things to a place where people are less stuck up. It´s just not worth the public humiliation! read more

I tried the store out but 1st let me say the way Im always greeted is terrible. they either look the other way when I walk in or treat me as if I was an annoyance. This is not the 1st time... When I have purchased a few Items in the past from a funny skinny young black guy who apparently no longer works there or when I have purchased via telephone when picking up item the cashier always has a horrible attitude. In my humble opinion Management needs to learn how to smile and offer a customer service etiquette class to their employees..My plan is to find a competitive store that will treat me better read more

Don't be fooled by the good reviews.... I went in and the place was totally haphazard, not that many people shopping or dropping but a lot of chit chat among the employees and I think family who stopped in to say hello or sit on the floor with their children. No parking and no good place to bring your stuff in or set it down. When someone finally acknowledged me I said "how are you" and she said "fierce how are you". I'm in my 30's and not Tyra Banks so it wasn't the appropriate response from some young tween working in a thrift shop attempting to be something else. After they decided who was going to help me and who should even be paying attention to me I received a form to fill out and then they told me I could take a seat or look around and they would call me. After their review of my three large bags of upscale clothing and two other boxes, one being almost brand new Guess Black Patent Leather shoes and a Stuart Weitzman bag I was told that there were maybe 7 items they could take at that time. I was told that they do not accept suits (not on the form I signed and as of now not on their website) and that I could either have so much in cash or so much in their trading dollars. I selected the clothing and sizes I brought in based on their direction of their website and quite honestly was pissed that I went through all the trouble for such a lack of responsiveness. It did say on their sheet that they cannot take everything but the shoes in the store I looked at were mediocre at best. Most had really worn soles and chewed up heels. I can't imagine that my only worn 3 times Guess shoes had no place in the competition??? Or any of my Chico's, Ann Taylor, Nordstrom, J Crew, Tahari, Talbots (the list goes on and on).... Further, I would hardly wipe my ass with some of the clothing they display on their racks. Some of the handbags in the cases looked nice but after 5 minutes in there I wanted to get the hell out. I decided on the trading card which did not work and was informed by the "fierce" tween who I assume was a manager that "it may be a hassle but the next time I come in I will have to tell them that they have to enter my number". Sorry sweetie I don't think there will be a next time... Better to go with my old standby of the Arlington consignment shop where the woman actually knows how to do business, make proper assessments of the clothing and actually gives me a bang for my buck, or I mean hassle!!! read more

I don't own nice enough things to sell here so I cannot attest to the sellers' experiences, but I enjoyed my experiences here. I came here half a dozen times and spent ungodly amount of time browsing through things. All those times I got very friendly service. On weekends this store is full of friends, mother-daughter shoppers just having a great time. And with so many items browse through, I always spend twice the time I plan to spend. I am size 10/12 and I found quite a few items at fantastic prices. Yes, you do get more choices if you are size 0-6 but they do carry dresses, pants, and shirts for bigger girls like me.) I hope they are nicer to sellers so buyers like me keeps on getting deals. read more

What a wonderful gem! I stopped in while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant, and within minutes had my hands full of cheap, trendy clothing I would gladly buy. After trying everything on, I left with a red blazer for $9.50 and a suede jacket for $16! You definitely have to dig a bit to find something in the right size and for the right price, but it's there... just look! Don't come with anything specific in mind because, like any second-hand shop, you can't know exactly what to expect. Still, their selection is pretty extensive with plenty of clothing, bags, jewelry, and shoes to choose from. I'll definitely come back-- and next time I'll bring some of my own things to try and sell! read more

I don't understand the bad reviews on here. For selling they can be picky and sometimes they don't take the things I think for sure they would like but I've never been treated rudely or find people to be snobby. The selection here is the best in the area-much bigger than Mustard Seed and better quality. Like anything second hand it can be hit and miss but they ALWAYS have new clothes coming in. Among my finds: an Elizabeth and James blazer for $40, a Vince cashmere sweater for $60 and a silk DVF top for $50. One piece of advice: check the clothes carefully before buying, I have noticed small stains or tears (fixable) and they have offered me discounts on the price to cover dry-cleaning. read more

I'm only rating the Reddz trading transaction, or lack thereof. I've purchased a few pieces here but prefer Current boutique any day of the week if I had to choose. So I come in with the following items to trade for cash. 1. JCrew velveteen polka dot toothpick new without tags. 2. Bebe LBD new with tags. 3. nine west Boutique maryjane sequins maryjane stillettos never worn. After calculations she says "$30.00". FOR EVERYTHING, I said!!! No thanks, I'll sell on Ebay. Ladies and gents, don't let these people take your items AND your money!!! Sell on either craigslist or Ebay. She obviously thought I was a cracked out feign to take $30 for such quality items. read more

I've been working for 30 years and am probably past the used-clothing-deal stage, so you can take this with a grain of salt if you want. On the up side, if you want trendy stuff like high heels and Converse and Uggs and this year's ankle boots, try it. That's my take. I know many, many happy Reddz shoppers and mean no disrespect. I'm just a certain niche customer, and I like my resale items to be clean. For me, I think Reddz is probably best for "outwear" (jackets and coats) and shoes and bags and jewelry. I think they need to do some market research at places like A Second Chance in New York City, where merchandise is fresh and clean and not stained and sweaty or marked with discernible wrinkles in places where you don't want to see them. So if they are going to be picky about what they buy, and if they are going to charge the prices they charge, which are high for resale, they can start with d i r t The staff are friendly enough, and there is quite a variety of selection, but I will not pay to see Eileen Fisher and Chanel and Christian Lacroix stuffed in racks. I can't justify $80 for a used cashmere sweater made in China. Italy or France maybe, not China. There are plenty of online resale opportunities (e.g., Fashionphile) where you can count on a clean product. read more

I stopped in after a very disappointing experience with Mustard Seed. SOOO much better. The people were nice- which immediately endeared me. The space was triple the size as MS but they had 10 times more clothes. Better labels and quality. Nothing with stains or worn down like at mustard seed. I didn't get to have a great look around sooo I will definitely be stopping in again. read more

Wider selection than Mustard Seed nearby, but I found the quality of items to be lacking in comparison. The pieces seemed outdated and geared towards an older crowd rather than for the "young/trendy" generation. There were some really nice designer handbags, though - I saw a decent selection of newer and vintage Louis Vuittons as well as Rebecca Minkoff, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, etc. Also a decent selection of designer shoes. The prices here are hit or miss - there seemed to be some good steals on the denim and some tops, but I also spotted a necklace here for $120 that retailed for $50 at J. Crew... With that being said, there is a HUGE variety of jewelry to choose from. Good for browsing due to the large size of the store, but it was hard for me to find pieces I liked here. read more

I'm glad I have a readily accessible consignment shop near me. In college, I relied on my local consignment shop quite frequently for items like jeans and coats, and I really like how close this place is to where I work. My friend and I came here to shop after work, and I was pretty impressed by both the size of the store and the selection. I was pretty impressed by the brands that I saw on the hangers, such as Vince, Stella McCartney, and Mike and Chris, and had the chance to try on a fair bit of clothes. I bought a coat that fit me perfectly, and there was an Armani cardigan that caught my eye, although alas I didn't bring that item home with me because regardless of brand, I couldn't justify paying $40 for a used plain black cardigan. But still, impressive. Minus one star for the return policy, as there is no return policy. I asked and they don't take returns/refunds, so be sure that you really like what you pick out before shelling out $$ for it. This is a little suckier in comparison to bigger chain consignment stores like Buffalo Exchange or Crossroads, which usually let you bring back stuff for credit/exchange at least. Overall, nice size and decent selection. This place is so much better than Mustard Seed. I'm really happy to have this near me and will definitely be a regular customer. read more

I live across the street from this place and have watched it go down hill since the day it opened. They used to have reasonably priced, fairly new, cute clothing. Now all they have is over-priced old junk. $30 for an extremely used Forever 21 dress from 2 years ago? No thanks. I'd rather go to Forever 21 and pay $20 for a NEW one. read more

After using this store to regularly sell and shop since they opened in 2010, I have recently had a string of disappointing experiences. I can still usually find some cute items there, but I've been getting an increasingly snobby vibe from the staff, especially when selling stuff. One of the things I liked about this place was that it didn't seem to have the attitude you find at other Bethesda conignment stores (for example, Mustard Seed). Also, lately, they seem to be strangely picky about what they buy, and then when I go through the store, I see items with holes or stains, some older outdated styles, etc., so I feel like the attidude is really unwarranted. I will probably stop in and browse next time I'm in the neighborhood, but with a couple Buffalo Exchanges and other similar options in DC, Reddz isn't really worth the trip for me anymore. read more

I heard of Reddz after reading reviews about Mustard Seed before my first selling appt with them. I decided to stack the odds and stop by Mustard Seed first and then depending on how much I sold there, try my luck at Reddz (no appt needed). Ended up being a good plan, and I must say Reddz is MUCH better than Mustard Seed. It's a bigger, nicer space and they have a larger, more attractive and easy to browse selection of clothing and accessories. The employees were also much nicer than at Mustard Seed, though the many many negative reviews of the customer service at MS prepared me for lackluster treatment. I was selling my stuff hoping to make a little extra money.. but I just ended up spending all of it in the store! I forgot what the exact percentage breakdown is, but you can either get cash or you can trade (which means you get a gift card to Reddz) and you get more money to trade than if you just take the cash. A smart business move on their part, i suppose. Bottom line: I'll be back. read more

The clothing here is pretty good ... I typically always find something I like. I've gotten several pairs of Seven for All Mankind jeans (brand new) for about $40. They're pretty predictable as far as what they'll buy and what they won't. However, they still have some stuff in the store that I wonder about .... The only reason this is getting 3 stars instead of 4 is because the staff are really aloof. Sometimes they're friendly, and other times, it's like they don't even pay attention to who's in their store. I go here all the time, and I am frequently confused about who works there and who is a customer. I also think the people sorting through potential purchases aren't too friendly. read more

I have never sold anything here only because I sell online and usually do better with that than selling in store. As for buying, they carry some great items. It's just a matter of finding it in my size or a color I would be able to pull off. Some items are a little on the pricier end for used clothing, but you can also find good deals on other items. They carry a lot of trendier and more fashionable items. A great store to browse, I guarantee you will ALWAYS find something you like and want. But it just might not be your size. Still well worth looking around in. You never know what you'll find. The customer service here is a hit or miss. Sometimes they are really nice, and sometimes they are super stuck up. Depends on who you get! Because I am used to California and their abundance of recycled clothing stores, this store is not impressive. They have a small selection and it's kinda full of snobs. Then again, it is Bethesda right? read more

This remains the best thrift/consignment store I've ever been to in my life and probably the only one I would deign to call a 'boutique.' I thought about not reviewing it and keeping it to myself but it looks like the darn cat's already out of the bag. Also, I'm a compulsive Yelper. The truth was gonna come out. I don't actually live in DC anymore but when I'm swinging through from Los Angeles this is at the top of the list of places I want to visit. How sad is that? Last time I was here I picked up a little silk camisole for about $10, a beautifully tailored soft button down shirt with contrast striping at the collar by Splendid for $15 (retail est. $75-85) and a little black Guess Collection dress that I got tons of compliments on at New Years for $20. Wonder if they would have been so complimentary if they knew it was about the the price of Los Angeles valet parking? Quick notes: The store is beautifully organized, very clean, and has great customer service. Sizes are easy to find; the clothes aren't torn or stained or otherwise marred. This is a gem. Truly. read more

I've never visited the store but I have done business with them via shipping. I live in Hawaii. I've been stalking their instagram for a particular item & as soon as they posted it I was lucky enough to be the one to purchase it (if you follow them, you should know how quick their items are sold out so I always miss out) Faith is the one who did my transaction, she sent pictures of the wallet with its flaws. Fast & easy! There was a mishap with shipping & I never received my package on the scheduled delivery. Turns out FedEx ground doesn't deliver to Hawaii per FedEx so it was still in Bethesda. So I reached out to Faith & she apologized and made sure I received the package in time for my party - and I did! Thanks Faith! If I lived in DC I would have a hard time keeping myself out of this store! Although there are a few things in the store priced at $100+, I'd say about 60% of the clothes here are $30 or less, making it pretty affordable. However, sometimes the clothes seem a little too worn out. I know that that's kind of the point of a secondhand store, but it's also their job to weed out clothes that would be better off at a Salvation Army. Overall, though, the selection is great, and the store is clean and well organized. Keep it up, Reddz! read more

One of the best consignment/resale shops in the DC area. They buy your clothes! I have bought clothes here and sold my clothes here. The pricing is pretty reasonable and there are some great steals! The first time I came here, I bought a shirt (don't remember what shirt it was), but it was $12 dollars and it was a designer brand. The pricing does seem off on some of the more casual clothes, like mall stores, but I think that is because it was a in high-demand item. Today I got a like brand-new short sleeved white coat from Guess for $20. It is stunning. Other steals, I saw were BCBG dresses (too small for me, or would have bought), Ann Taylor and Escada jackets, and Nanette Lepore, plus White House Black Market, Sweet Pea, etc. Anything from anywhere can be found here. Now for my selling experience. I took in a bag of clothes and they took in 3 of them. I got back $27 which is the cumulative total for each item (they price an item and give you 30% of that price in cash or 45% for the card---I went with the card option). I thought this was a little low since most of the items those chose were BCBG and a brand new with tags Express dress that cost quite the bit. I am curious to see what they sell for. I will definitely come back, but do make sure you try everything on. I may try somewhere else to see if they will take the items in for more money. Definitely a place to visit here or there. They do accept a lot of fashions. And some brands are in demand than others which could also explain the pricing. A lot of racks (have a decent men's section), and decent shoe and accessory selection. read more

Good selection of boots, heels, some flats... Skirts, dresses, sweaters, blouses, winter jackets and blazers... Got it all! Good range of brands, too. BCBGMaxazria, DVF, Ann Taylor, J Crew, Tahari, Coach, etc. There's a men's section, too, with what looks like a nice collection of jeans, dress shirts, and shoes. This place has gotten more picky (accepting clothes) and more pricey (selling them) the longer they're in business. The result is quality, interesting pieces definitely worth the money but not as fun to buy - going to Reddz Trading used to be more about trading, but now it's just buying because they don't accept as much. I get a snobby vibe from the staff, more each time I go. read more

I just left because on the "discount" rack was a dress for $35 with bleach stains on it. I brought it to the clerk's attention and she said, "That's why it's discounted." Uh no--it shouldn't be on the rack at all. I won't be back if this is the kind of clothes that you try to pass off whether or not on discount. Poor customer service. I've spent hundreds of dollars here, sometimes in one visit, but that lady turned me off, so I guess your standards have been reduced to selling garbage. read more

I have gotten some wonderful things here, and very well priced. Certainly higher-end items that I would never buy at full retail and look barely worn. The place is large, the lighting is good, the dressing rooms are nice. So if you have time, and you're willing to paw through the racks, there are great things to be found here, with the usual second-hand caveat: in my opinion a fair amount of nicer consignment is either oddly sized or odd fitting, so disregard the label size, and try it on. Staff is younger, so in general the merch skews younger and less conservative for the Washington DC area. I pick up on-trend pieces here, which is great, but if you're trying to dress for corporate Washington, this is not the place. If, on the other hand, you're trying to sell your stuff -- good luck with that. As other reviewers have noted, what the store will accept/refuse is wildly inconsistent, bordering on bizarre. Also I wouldn't buy any of the really high-end items like designer bags unless you can spot a fake and know what you're doing. Finally, for a store that is this picky about what it accepts, a surprising amount of the clothing has some kind of issue -- broken zipper, missing button, snags, etc. Look your items over veeeery carefully. The staff is nice enough, I guess, but not particularly helpful or attentive until you're trying to pay. You're going to have to do the work yourself. I dinged them a star for less-than-top-condition items, and less than stellar service. read more

**Selling Review** I have been selling my clothes to many different stores and I compare all prices. they ended up giving me the fairest price on two of my dress shirts, I sold all my other stuff already. They have a simple system, 30% cash or 40% store credit of whatever the value they decide to resell the item for. Which is nice cause you know how much money they make and how hard it is for them to stay in business. The men's selection on clothing is very limited. It took me about 30 seconds to go through all of my sizes. Definitely a better store for the ladies. I will be bringing back some of my summer clothes to see how much I can get for it when spring comes around. I left with $9.6 for a seven diamond shirt and a ben sherman shirt, so don't expect too much money for your clothes! read more

I don't normally buy high-end (Banana, Gap, Ann Taylor, etc normally gets me by just fine). But, that said, Reddz has some nice designer duds as well (D&G, Prada) for absurdly reasonable prices. I was a little disappointed in some of their selection (really? Two whole racks of just skimpy tanks and workout-style clothes?) but found some great little dresses there in the $12-14 range. Also--they have a good jewelry case (something that I don't always see in thrift stores), and their changing rooms are roomy and great. It's a reasonable distance from Metro, too! read more

A very good thrift store. One of the best I've seen. The men's clothes are extremely inexpensive. I mean like $7 for dress pants. That's pretty darn good. I walked in there with no clue of what this place was and fell in love. All items look brand new. The staff was more than helpful. They sell clothes that are kinda your normal everyday items, then they sell brands like Prada, Hermes, Gucci, and the list could go on. I bought a pair of Levi's for $11. I think the sale rack was really great. It had every brand and lots of nice dress clothes for really cheap. I was impressed they had many brands that are hardly in any norm l mall. It's a real shame I don't live in the DC area because this place is a hidden treasure. read more

Cold lack of acknowledgement by white sales women is not new. They greet the white woman and ignore me. For the second time in as many weeks though, that was what got from Reddz with the exception of a sunny hello and offer to help from the only person of color on staff. For 18 years I have lived in Bethesda 40 more in this area and I am telling you not to tolerate this behavior from this or any store. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so it's even worse that I gave you 2 and you failed both miserably. Shame on you. read more

I frequent used/consignment stores often and usually find something awesome at an even awesomer (urban dictionary says its a word) price! I found Reddz Trading while googling for shops in Maryland and decided to pop in. The store is a decent size, merchandised well and easy to walk around in. I love the decor and selection of accessories. The pricing can be a bit high for used clothing but there are some nicely priced items as well. I bought a Free People knit mini dress that looks barely used for $20 bucks! Yep, I'll definitely be going back to Reddz read more

I went back to Reddz this weekend during their Earth Day sale, and I found a much better selection and better pricing than I found on my first visit. While they still carry items from H&M and Forever 21, I found a better mix of designer items and better brands at reasonable prices. Some of the designer items were still too expensive for my taste, since I have found amazing deals at Goodwill and other consignment and thrift stores. But I did pick up some practically new Banana Republic pants for less than $20 a pair, and a cute dress for $14. I wish that their items were better organized by size and color. You pretty much have to go through every single rack to find things that you're looking for - sizes are mixed up, genders are mixed up, colors and patterns are mixed up. Basically everything is mixed up, and you have hunt through everything. read more

Carefully curated selection of sizes XS, S, M, and also Euro sizes from like 25- 32...didn't see anything designated "L"... They did have a large selection of jewelry & mint-looking designer bags, and some mens' stuff too (none of which I paid much attention to, so can't really comment in that stuff) My main observation was that most of the shoppers were middle aged or super settled-down traditional professionals , but the store/selection emphasis seems to be on more fun style and smaller (junior-ish) sizes...a little mismatched @ market. I was actually pleasantly surprised to find pretty good prices for current designer items, and relatively cheap sale pieces that didn't suck, despite a more uptight atmosphere. Not a tremendous selection in the store, but really not bad! Nothing looked dated or in poor condition - points for being super relevant @ style, though mostly geared towards a polished/dressier look which again is something more middle-aged women go for, yet middle aged women tend to wear sizes above a 27 Euro, which they drastically lack in. Most of the shoppers I observed also seemed less current and more traditional @ attitude/ style so I'm not sure if the shop's selection suits their actual shopper base . Really attentive, friendly service, but super tense vibe. The owner or mgr was in so maybe that's why?...she has really cool hair but a somewhat dismissive personality unless a convo with a customer is directly about buying something right then and there . I guess it's more of a get-em-in and get em out type place (??) I get it if price points are beneath her @ side convos or hair complients being worth her time. Lol. Well I did find a pair of perfectly fitting B-level designer jeans in great condition for $20, so she accomplished her goal. read more

After cleaning my closet and losing weight (YAY), I had some really awesome pieces of clothing from this spring and early summer. I was going to donate some of the items, but I thought maybe I could get some money. I wasn't expecting a lot of money, but I tried anyway. The ladies were super friendly, and they promptly went through my bag at the items I had. While they were looking through my items, I looked around the store. WOW! they had beautiful pieces that would work in my grad student/ teacher budget. Since I just cleaned my closet, I opted to not buy any clothes. Although I only received about $25 for my pieces, I didn't complain because I did get my wear out of the items. If you are looking to get a huge amount of money for your clothes, it isn't going to happen. On the other hand, if you need a cute dress in season dress, then this place is for you. read more
