This store was perfect for a slightly more sophisticated shopping experience (more upscale, with a much larger designer collection than Remix down the street). When items spend awhile in the store, they get discounted to $2.50 (not a typo!). I got a Vince sweater for this price today (originally at least $200), just giving it away. Also purchased some $200+ designer jeans for $30. They have some unique, interesting items from designers like Helmut Lang, Alice and Olivia, Black Halo...well beyond your usual JCrew/Kate Spade selection, and nothing from Forever21 in sight. There are definitely items here that seem a bit overpriced, like a Macy's Calvin Klein tank for $25 when the tag said $59 -- yes it was new but Macy's generally has 40-75% off so really that was like mall prices. But if you search you can really find gems! I'll be back! read more

OMG!!!! First of all I didn't feel welcome in the store. Second, if you want to sell your items they will rip you off. I brought in my expensive designer clothing to sell. They paid me pennies!!!!The gal Kim was so rude. She also put items to buy in one pile to buy and later change her mind. I still ended up taking a lot of stuff back home. Last, the store smells like their merchandise came out from the attic. It smelled awful. I will never go back there again. read more

As a buyer, I would definitely return for the large variety they have. They carry everything from vintage, low to mid end labels and high end labels like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, etc. which usually have their own spot. This place is great to sift through because you can find some great gems. I got a fabulous faux fur coat for $60, Joe's Jeans for $30, and an Anthropologie skirt for $20. As a seller, my experience was only so-so. I appreciate that they accept walk-ins, however the payout is pretty low. You get 30% of what they sell for in cash or 45% in credit. They already tend to price things reasonably/lower for buyers, but as a seller that means you don't gain as much. This place is definitely somewhere you want to take your things if you don't have any attachment to your pieces as to how much you paid for them, sentimental pieces, etc. and if you don't want to bother with ebay. read more

I have been shopping here for years! Yes, they are selective about what they take...and I always take the store credit instead of the cash so I can turn around and BUY from them!! They allow you to "save up" your store credits and purchase at a later date! Save up for that special Chanel bag that you want---guilt free! read more

So to be honest, I shop here all the time. The staff is lovely, talkative and helpful. I would recommend selling clothes here if you have a lot of anthropology, jcrew or tory burch, and those type of things, but not really anything else. They either wont buy or pay enough for anything else. What I go for is the fun time I have bargain hunting. I have yet to score a reasonably priced bag here, I prefer Current for that, but I have a lot of great second hand jcrew and tory burch items from these guys. They carry a lot of preppy, more conservative stuff, but there are some boho or unique items there too. I once bought a light pink rabbit fur jacket and I LOVE it. It was such a silly thing, but I wear it all the time. I really like shopping here, and I would recommend it! read more

I've been to this store on numerous occasions, hoping to buy some high quality second hand items or sell high quality items. I held off on a Yelp review of the store because I just kept thinking that the next time would be a better experience. Sadly, it only gets worse with each visit. The staff is not friendly at all. The employees are very dismissive. As other reviewers have said, they treat you like an annoyance. Buying- Many of the items I've seen for sale were boldly overpriced for being used and in poor condition. I'd say one out of every five items I looked at had a hole, stain, frayed stitching or a combination of those flaws. It's dimly lit in the store as well which is nice for ambiance but terrible for checking for flaws. I've bought items, brought them home and in a different light I could see that the item wasn't the quality that I thought I it was in the store. Be hyper aware of possible flaws and maybe bring the item over to the store window if it's daylight outside so you can have a better look. Selling- I came into Reddz to sell items recently. I was confident about the quality of most of my items. I had many brand new, never worn, brand name, in season items, some with tags still on. We are talking J. Crew, Betsey Johnson, Banana Republic, Loft, Kate Spade and more. Some items were only in good but not excellent condition and I had realistic expectations about those items. Honey child (that's right this review is about to get sassy), they turned away everything but one pair of heels that had pretty moderate wear and tear. The woman's reason for turning all but one item away was that most items were "in bad condition". Did I mention that more than 50% of my items were new with tags or never worn? They got cashmere sweaters up in there with holes the size of a dime. They got heels for sale in that piece that look like the drunk girl who owned them dragged her feet down the pavement sideways all night. Yet they turned away a large number in season, high end, in fashion items in perfect condition. They went through my three large bags and three other peoples bulk items in under 25 minutes. From what I could gather, whether or not your items are accepted is likely based more on that particular employee's sense of style rather than a system based on good brands, quality and season. From one consumer/seller to another, you are 100% better off going to TJ Max, Nordstrom Rack, or saving up for a brand new designer item. You are also 100% better off selling your items online. If you still want to give Reddz a shot after reading this review, I sincerely hope that your experience turns out better than my experiences. read more

I have an entire closet full of things I'd like to sell on consignment. While I've never bought here, I decided to test the waters and try to sell a few items I had with me at work, a block away from the Georgetown location. I went to Reddz because a friend who used to work there recommended it. The first time I went to Reddz, the guy at the desk looked at my Danish briefcase, a copper belt buckle and a bracelet (also copper) and said the briefcase and bracelet might be something they could sell but told me to come back during trading hours. I came back several weeks later during trading hours and was told (by the same guy) I needed to make an appointment online. The third time I came in, I had an appointment. The same guy was behind the counter, and a lady with red hair was rummaging through a bunch of clothes. There was no greeting. There was a soulless acknowledgment from the guy when I said I had an appointment, and the lady ignored me altogether until I addressed her directly. (Was my appointment with her?) The lady said they couldn't sell the briefcase because it wasn't made by a known designer. The man said the buckle needed a belt, and made the decision to take the bracelet, saying I'd get $6 for it. One like it, signed by the designer, was valued at $800 by a jewelry dealer and taken for consignment at 50%, but ok, fine. I left with all that I came with. What really got to me was the way I was treated. The woman was still rummaging and said nary a word as I left. The man didn't say 'have a nice day, goodbye,' didn't smile or make eye contact as I left or at any time. It was like I was walking away from a customer relations auto wreck. I'm in the service industry and am a pro. I would never let someone out of my door without making sure they feel appreciated. Well, like in the film Pretty Woman: 'Big mistake.' I have 3 Coach shoulder bags, 1 Coach briefcase, a Burberry Fanny pack, a Burberry briefcase, a beautiful sheared mink/microfiber reversible P-coat and a ton of fun, funky vintage mid-century women's jewelry to take somewhere else. Does anyone have a recommendation? read more

Definitely crossing reddz off my consignment list. In the past 6 months they've gone down hill substantially. They have always been disorganized chaos, but it was good chaos. Maybe not good, but 1 out every 3 trips I would find something great. Now it's just cluttered racks with items you wonder why the hell they even bother selling like ripped shirts, broken zippers. I also went with my friend Ricardo who worked at Louis Vuitton in Friendship Heights before it closed and girrrrl, they had a Fooie Vuitton. I asked if they guarantee their authenticity and they didn't really have an answer. It's less frustrating shopping on Black Friday or at the goodwill then paying premium prices for such crap. I'll come back in six months but right now it's not with my lunch break rotation. read more

Defiantly have to be careful with some of the prices at this place. You really have to look hard to find a good deal, but when you do, you do. I found a dress for a penny! Yes, a penny, its true... Lots of parking around the place, and the management seem very nice. read more

I love shopping at this place! It's really trendy and I've found many treasured pieces here. However, it is kinda pricey and some of the staff can be pretty dismissive, but there are a lot of friendly employees as well. I'd say it's pretty 50/50. The wait time for giving them your clothes is ridiculously long and slow and they will hardly take anything, even if it is good quality and in mint condition. I really question their judgment on clothes that are of actual quality. Some of their pieces are threadbare, warn, or have stains on them when closely inspected. Overall, the clothes are great but the store culture needs to improve and a keener eye is needed to assess which donated clothes should and should not be sold. read more

WORST staff evert. Could have not been ruder if they tried. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. Do not go to Reddz Trading. The manager, Amy, is particularly rude. As I waited my turn in line, I witnessed her being extremely rude to the two customers ahead of me and when it was my turn, you guessed it, she was rude to me. read more

I'm not too impressed ..They may have designer clothes but they Lack customer service..I've been there on numerous occasions only Twice has someone acknowledged my presence..BTW I have bought and sold a few items there... Before I left on vacation, I asked one of the girls if they would sell a mink maybe she didn't understand me with my Southern accent...lol Just last week, my mom was in the store. She had the same issue with the aloof staff. She was planning on consigning a full length mink mahogany with sheered beaver! She is a larger woman but loves style. My mom always said "You can have class and style without being pretentious ". read more

I came in yesterday with my friend, and it started out great, there was a younger girl and guy in the front, very helpful and very nice. My friend and I tried on our clothes and were ready to check out. There was an older, blonde-ish (light hair) woman at the register towards the back of the store. She holds up the skirts I was buying and proceeds to exclaim, "Oh my god, you are so skinny, my waist has never been this small". She then goes on to tell my friend and me how lucky we are to be so skinny, how "everything we try on must look good on us". She continues talking about how skinny we are and how "she has never been that small". I know it was not meant to be mean, but I have struggled with my weight for a year now and it was beyond inappropriate and we were both very uncomfortable to the point I was going to say something right then and there. I think going forward, it is a good rule of thumb to never talk about someone's weight, small or large. The clothes were good and I enjoyed the store, but not enough to return after how I felt leaving. read more

A word of advice, DO NOT SELL CLOTHES HERE! The first time I went, I brought about 25 pieces to sell. And for the past 45 minutes, they finally called my name; which is understandable because there were a lot of people selling. To my surprise they didn't take any items from me. However, when I looked over the bags, they were organized the same way when I came in. They did NOT touch a single clothing in my bag. YET! I saw a pile of items they took from other sellers, EXCEPT ME. Umm, shouldn't they be able to take some of my items? At least one? I had some anne taylor, bcbg, and banana republic pieces. The second time I went, I brought different pieces. This time, there was 1 other seller, and so I thought, they should be able to get something right? WRONG. After 1 MINUTE, they called my name and told me the same thing as before. Disappointed, I politely walked away and glanced over at my bags of clothes. Guess what I saw? (again) The clothes were arranged the SAME! prior to when I was selling them. Again meaning, they did not bother to touch or look at my clothes. Very careless! What were you girls doing for the past 1 minute? Just dozing off and not doing your job? Unprofessional. Go to Mustard Seed if you want to sell, they are more generous, and they do their jobs right. read more

Very good inventory and staff. Lots to look through and every time you'll find a treasure to add to your closet. Prices are high, but designer brands so it's worth it. Only reason I have given this place a one star is because of the manager. Lindsey is THE rudest manager I have encountered in a while. I've been to Reddz a bunch of times and spent quite a bit of money here, but every time I see her.... never says hello, very degrading when trying to sell clothes and just seems very full of herself. She definitely needs a reality check and some more customer service training. It's a shame because the other employees are so friendly and they always try to help you look for what you need. Just try to avoid the manager when stopping by Reddz so she doesn't ruin your day. read more

I feel as if I have already left a review before (1 star) and it may have been removed... Anyways... I have been visiting Reddz Trading on my lunch breaks for about four years now, both buying and selling visits. The single reason why I stopover now is to simply scan the room for a deal. Over the years I have learned to NEVER sell my little treasures here. Having lived in New York City for years and working and interning at the finest clothing consignment stores in NYC I would say that I am incredibility acquainted with vending and purchasing clothes. I understand that "resale" does not mean retail and one will not be getting back what one paid for. However, this place is very selective, impolite, unfamiliar and extremely unknowledgeable and unaccustomed when it comes to fashion, particularly vintage accessories and designer shoes and purses. I have experienced the owner, the managers and almost all the sale representatives. These girls would be swallowed up and spit out on the streets if they treated customers like they do here in NYC. You work at a retail consignment shop in Bethesda, get your s*** and act together you are a sales rep, at least dress to impress (they dress unbelievably lethargic--like sweatpants are in style all year-round? Nah betch). Get over yourself, it's not like you're working at Bergdorf's or Barneys. I would sell your items on Poshmark and do what I do--scan the room for deals and keep your contact to a minimum with the personnel. read more

I used to love this place but got burned several times. I bought a burberry scarf, a small gucci cosmetic bag, and a few pieces of sterling silver jewelry (all on separate occasions). The burberry scarf ended up being a fake and so was the gucci cosmetics bag. The sales people insisted all of their items were real. Check out the review about the fake Chanel bag- I totally believe there is not enough vetting when items are being checked for authenticity. Someone bringing in multiple Chanel bags to sell them for pennies on the dollar is a huge red flag. I also saw a beautiful Rebecca Minkoff bag (new with defects) in one of the displays. I asked the sales person how much and she said $100. I ended up buying the same exact bag on ebay for $30 including shipping. This is a good place to buy something like a bebe dress or jcrew dress. The mid level items are priced pretty reasonably considering what you are getting. The quality, for the most part, is also pretty good. However some of the items have defects and holes so you really have to look closely before you buy. No refunds. However, the prices on some of the items are way too high. The Rebecca Minkoff bag was a perfect example. A defective bag shouldn't be selling for 100 with a no refund policy. Coach is also ridiculously priced. $50-$100 when you can get a new one in one of the outlets for that price. I tried selling here and brought some really nice items (Gucci shoes, dolce gabbana bag brand new with tags) and they offered me $12 for the Gucci shoes and $20 for the Dolce Gabbana bag. I ended up selling both of these on ebay. The shoes went for $150 on ebay and were sold in less than two days and the Dolce Gabbana went for several hundred dollars and sold in less than a week. read more

Reddz feels like where cast off clothing goes to die. Sure, they draw you in with a display case of kinda fugly Chanel bags, but the love affair ends there. As a seller: Reddz is useful for selling your stuff that no other place would bother taking - a last chance effort before donating. Go somewhere else first that pays a higher percent (or that prices items higher) and bring your leftovers to Reddz. As a shopper: this last-chance-before-donating selling mentality is reflected in the crummy merchandise they have. Everything I pick up I have to bring over to the windows to get some good light on it because so much of the clothing is stained. I'd say I've been there about 10 times, usually to sell my ugly old crap, and I've only ever purchased one item, a well priced (and surprisingly, not stained!) DVF wrap dress. Last time I was there I asked to see an olive YSL Muse bag and was pretty floored by the $600 price tag for the poor-fair condition the bag was in. I think the modeling pictures on their website are hilarious, though. read more

Google Review stated the following: "I guess I should have read the previous reviews from recent months, regarding selling/consigning. I even asked the manager for her email address, so as to get a better gauge the next time, and there has not been response back, since sending an email of Thank You, and being there a week ago. That certainly indicates a lot, because effective communication is required for improvement from both sides, and I did what I thought would next help in getting things in line more possible. Communication aside, the attitudes of the workers was noted as well, which indicates the place is too much of whirlwind for most to deal with selling (and buying maybe also) at regularly. This all being the case the second time I am to sell, during the post traumatic times society is in, I will not be returning, not to sell and not to buy." And being further detailed here on Yelp, though the Google review sums things up, I am sugar coating the interaction, because I did call ahead of time to provide details of what I was bringing. And from that contact point via phone, through the interaction in person, there were other specific issues regarding being courteous & polite about the Selling/Consigning details upon arriving to the store and starting to interact at this location. And even if they are separate, the name tagging is the same: the Wisconsin Avenue location in Georgetown are of DC is not much better. The Reddz Gatekeeper there (I don't know how else to call her, haha) may be nice to you the first couple of times, yet that may sour quickly as you are no longer a new client and do not have something new to offer. Would advise you go to a solo consigner in the area with no affiliates, because these two have negative energy that seems to feed back and forth somewhat. Or if there are enough of you to band together, get competitive and search for a good location (location! location! location!) to start a new one, and break a deal with the landlord. All the same, I would not advise Reddz Trading as a Selling/Consigning options, not unless you go in without them knowing and develop some Buyers relationship, I guess. If you like their stuff, maybe you'll have a better chance. Iunno, just a thought that some may later have better shot at Selling at either location, if they're still around through this upcoming economic downturn. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars! I was so excited to try this store. I should have listened to the bad reviews! This place is awful! I had Polo and BCBG sweaters, seven for all mankind and citizens of humanity jeans, clothing from Banana Republic and a Louis Vuitton purse, all barely worn...they did not take one thing!!! I browsed the store and all there clothes were disgusting! I could not find one item that I would even consider buying! Out of style, smelly, bad condition, or just plain ugly! I saw dirty coach purses from 10 years ago and they did not buy my Louis? Wtf! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME...I'm not a huge fan of Mustard Seed but it is way better than this dump! read more

I checked out Reddz yesterday after being perennially disappointed with Mustard Seed's selection and 'tude. I'm hooked! Reddz has a nice variety of styles, prices, designers, and pieces, and I didn't see anything that was truly outdated or in bad condition. Nice selection of jackets and cardigans, and lots of dresses. I walked out with two cashmere sweaters and an absolutely gorgeous Calvin Klein full-length black angora wool coat. I saw some very nice high-end pieces in there, and may go back for a Vuitton bag that caught my eye - if someone else hasn't snatched it up. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that Reddz exhibits the same sheer terror of pants larger than a size 10 that the Seed does. I don't get it - Reddz had a respectable number of tops, dresses, and outerwear in 14 and occasionally 16 (I even saw one coat that was a 1x), so why no pants or jeans? I realize that high-end designers and premium denim nazis don't make clothes larger than a 10, but many of the other decent labels Reddz carries are regularly available in 12, 14, and 16. Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Tahari, etc., etc. I don't think it's a question of what people are bringing in to sell - there is not even a placeholder for these sizes on the rack. (And the "large" section of the rack is populated with size 10s! That's a medium, folks.) Perhaps they could hide the larger pants on a rack in the back corner if they think the sight of a size 14 pair of pants will send customers running away screaming in terror. I don't mind having my clothes segregated from the rest, really. The point is, Reddz, I have $$$ that are just waiting to be liberated from my wallet. Instead of doing sensible things like fortifying my 401(K) or paying off my mortgage, these mischievous little Jacksons, Grants, and Benjamins are just waiting to jump gleefully into your cash register for the privilege of draping my booty in previously loved merino and denim. Wouldn't you rather my money go to you than to the mall? read more

Someone else mentioned that they were from LA and didn't like this place, but I shall present a contrary opinion! I REALLY like this place! In LA, I go to a lot of thrift stores and consignment shops to get a lot of my designer/ quality clothing for really cheap. I came here and stumbled on their sales rack (maybe I shouldn't mention this but...) and found the following: - Loomstate jeans (skinny cut), great quality for $2.50... !?!? are they giving these things away or what? (prob. orig. ~$150) - Vintage silk Lanvin dress, great quality $5.00.... ??????? - Brand new with tag Helmut Lang jeans for $30 (orig. $220) - Brand new with tag Elizabeth and James dress for $20 (orig. $365) ... yeah I really don't know what else to say. Their sales rack is amazing. (Their other stuff is OK.) read more

The staff here is horrific. The past few times I've gone in to shop I've either been ignored or treated like an annoyance when I ask for a dressing room, to check out, etc. Tip to management: train your teenage employees not to roll their eyes at customer requests. I've sold here a few times with mixed results, but this past time I was kept waiting for almost an hour on a Tuesday morning with few customers in the store. The woman who checked me in did not tell the woman who was picking through the clothes who/where I was, so I sat on the couch near the front for a half hour while my stuff lay on the counter and the employees gossiped. Finally, one of the women said, "oh, are you waiting for us to look through this?" Communication. It's not that hard. read more

I don't believe the buyers filter what they're buying. Purchased a small Chanel bag here and later discovered it was a FAKE when I took it to Tyson's corner to have the zipper looked at. When I called the store, I was irate to say the least. The bag cost me $420 and was worth $4.20. The manager agreed to refund me if I brought the bag back which I did. This place is rather convenient for me as I work in Bethesda but unless it's clothing, I won't be making any other high end purchases. Had to give them credit for at least allowing me to return the fake bag. Thanks but no thanks read more

I enjoyed talking with the owner. He shared his business strategies. Very NEW York,he shared that size 8 is the most popular and he needs to have 200 selections in size 8,everyday.They carry size 0 to a few 10's or 12's. I was told my size 14 clothes, with tags he wouldn't have hangers big enough. Also, it would take away from his formula. And he didn't have the space. I brought 5 pairs of designer sandals in sizes 9-10, that where brand new from the Nordstrom catalog, never used. The pretty young girls pick one pair of sandals and make an offer of $18, I bought them for $209. So consider this a pawn broker shop, they pay around 9 cents on the dollar. The market age targeted is 14-19 year olds. Or those who want to look 14-19 years old. read more

Sell your pretty little pieces on e-bay and make waaaaay more money. I'm gonna have to agree w/the chick who used to work in NYC. Here's why: I've been visiting this place on/off since they opened a few years back and the clothes keep getting more and more expensive...just like Secondi!!! Well, I had a moment of clarity between glasses of red and it hit me. The rich ladies of The Junior League & Jack & Jill closed their shops which used to be in Arlington on Glebe Rd. Back in the day you could fill 2 shopping bags full of Ralph Lauren, Coach, the expensive stuff from Barneys/Saks and Banana Republic for about $50. I don't know why they closed their doors here but they're still in Atlanta (Nearly New Shop). Ok, so here's the thing. I used to work for Ann Taylor (50% discount). I had a collection of Cache halter tops and a few cute pieces from Anthropologie, some Guess dresses and tops and a couple Betsy Johnson bags. These chicks didn't want any of them. They did however want the cheap $20 pumps and $15 bag from DSW; they also wanted the 'free' plastic bag that comes w/the purchase from DSW (go figure). So, I took some pics of my stuff, created an Ebay account and counted how many ppl were watching my stuff. Guess what? I made $75 after the paypal and ebay fee. Ladies, skip this overpriced joint and go shop the sell racks at Saks/Neiman Marcus, Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic. Believe me you'll get better quality pretty little things!!! read more

So I brought in these items: - Giuseppe Zanotti shoes - Dooney & Bourke purse - B. Makowsky purse - Kenneth Cole wristlet - Harajuku Lovers jacket Guess which of these were accepted? NONE!!!!! This place is great for buying clothes at amazing deals, but an absolute joke when it comes to selling your items. And this is one out of a few bad experiences I've had here as a seller. I've brought in many high-end designer clothing here in great condition and they never accept any of them. I really don't understand why. I always bring in brands that I know for sure they sell here. I don't know what the hell these guys are looking for. Their taste is really off; although I have had great luck buying here, I've seen some pretty hideous stuff being sold as well. And it also doesn't help that most of their staff is rude too. read more

Fellow yelpers, this is my first review. Reddz Trading. WOW! Where do I begin. First of all, I hate to go here, but Im going to call it the way I feel, customer service towards black people SUCKED! After NOT being greeted when I walked in the store and all the white customers were being greeted was a huge turn off! I felt a little angry about that, because this is 2012, but I said get over it and I did, then the suckie staff was waiting on the white people and just let me, my daughter, and other black people, walk around with no interaction from the staff, all they (staff) did was stand around looking and acting snobby. The environment was not welcoming at all. The merchandise is over priced. I saw a dress that was $40 more in Reddz than it was in the store, brand new. That is not the only thing that was over priced. The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because after I clicked the spot for 1 star, I could not get it out. This place deserves no stars mainly because of the terrible customer service here, because if something fit me nice and I really like it and it is over priced, I will still purchase it. Maybe the owner don't know this is happening, but I am quite sure the owner have read yelp, if you are reading this please train your staff on customer service for ALL people, after all, money spends the same no matter who is spending it. read more

I thought this place was pretty medicre. The designer clothing was extremely overpriced, and I saw at least 10 items for over $100. I saw used sweaters for $20, where at Mustard Seed, you would see them for $16. I also noticed a pink stain on a white dress. It's a great space and they have some neat clothes, but quite frankly, I'd rather pay $40 for something new at the Limited than a used, average-looking Diane Von Furstenberg skirt. I did buy a dress, which fit great, that I thought was a decent buy. But in general anything of interest was either too expensive for me to want to purchase secondhand or lacking in quality. I am willing to go back though and see how this store progresses. It is a great location and a great space. read more

It's more of a 2.5 stars for selling at this place and 3.5-4 stars for buying. I don't really find that I can make so much money here selling here. And they're really picky (which makes sense) about what they'll buy here. You might do better selling it online or donating it. As for buying, they have a large selection of clothing, bags, scarves, other accessories, jewelries and shoes. For such a store in this area, this is the largest selection you'll prob find in this area. They usually have a decent selection of things in all different kinds of sizes... and the store itself is set up really nicely, with different types of clothing (business pants, jeans, coats etc) set up in separate racks. The brands are mostly well known brands, and if you have the energy to look around, you'll find some nice finds, Banana republic, ann taylor, etc. Staff is friendly and you can try on most of the items in the store (they have a couple of fitting rooms, depending on the time of the day you go, you might end up waiting in line for a while). Definitely a good place to come for buying...not so much for selling.. but then maybe I shouldn't say that because if you didn't sell, I'd have nothing to buy! :P read more

Been coming here every once in a while for the past few years. In the beginning, I had no problems selling, but more recently I've had the same lady look through my things and she never wants them. One time she told me to take a silk blouse, new with tags on it, that originally cost $150 and was in season to Uptown Cheapskate, where they offered me $3.80. I thought that couldn't be right, so I actually brought it back when another lady was working there and she bought it from me. Shopping here is more fun. They have a large selection, and I often find something to take home. I agree with some of the other reviewers to carefully look over what you buy. One time I got home and discovered a couple small holes on the front of a skirt. But otherwise you can find some great deals! read more

I loved this place! I've been a loyal Mustard Seed customer for years, but lately their stuff has been less vintage/thrift, and more funky but higher priced originals. Welcome to my life, Reddz. I found some great Ann Taylor Loft dresses for about $15 a pop, spied a lavender Versace number, and nice mix of mid-to-high end brands along with some Forever 21 castoffs. Great selection, reasonable prices, but the jewelry and men's leaves a lot to be desired. I can't wait to go back. read more

I enjoy shopping at, and selling to, Reddz. They are a worthy addition to the shopping scene in Bethesda. However, truthfully, for every item I buy at Reddz I will end up buying 6 or 7 items at Mustard Seed. Also, I have sold many vintage items to Mustard, and hardly any to Reddz. Reddz seems to be catering to a West-Coast-type customer with expensive tastes, pricey but not edgy, Kim Kardashian-type, not necessarily a fashion model or trendsetter, someone who might like gold jewelry, gold sandals, black quilted satin jacket, lots of makeup, big hair. (saw this look at Reddz recently) I could be wrong about the target audience, but that is my impression. At the same time, I have found nice items here, especially dresses, of which they have a large selection. Look carefully for little flaws and definitely try on your selections before you buy. BY contrast, Mustard seems to be appealing to an East Coast sensibility, more fashion forward and more edgy, modern sprinkled with vintage. Definitely shop both! read more

SCORE!!!!!! I hit the sale racks first since that is where I usually find my level of pricing. Boy was I wrong. I was amazed at the variety of sizes and styles that were available in my price range. LOTS of clothes. A modest selection of shoes, but no practical ones to speak of but a great place to get heels if you like wearing that style. read more
