This is a zero star review. I went in today to get my lashes done and had the worst experience. I've gone to Unique Lashes about 6-7x prior to this incident and had no issues. But today, I went in to get my lashes removed and the aesthetician that was working with me put a huge amount of some removing substance on my eye. I had my eyes closed but started to feel a burning sensation in both eyes. I told her that it was stinging really badly and tried to get up so I could wash it out. Every time I tried to get up she kept pushing me down. I tried this 3times and by now it had completely gotten into my eyes. Another aesthetician handed her some water and she put it over my eyes but it was still burning. Finally she let me get up and go to the bathroom to wash it out in the sink. Both eyes were red but my right was especially swollen and bloodshot. I told them my eyes are too swollen to get lashes done and that I wanted to leave. I've been getting lashes done for the last 3 years and have never had an experience like this. I am very upset at the way the aesthetician handled the situation. She pushed me down three times when I tried to go to the bathroom to wash it out. Because of this the substance was in my eye longer and left it swollen. I came into get my lashes done for a wedding tomorrow and now I need to go without them. Also it's been 7 hours since I've left the shop and my right eye still feels swollen and uncomfortable. When I was leaving, they told me they will give me a discount when I come back to do the lashes. No. I am never coming back. Not after leaving with a swollen eye. read more

I've been a customer at unique for about a year now. I have seen many of the lash techs at some point as well. I have to say that while I did have good experiences here, the bad outweigh the good. I've been considering posting a review for a while now, but always felt bad about giving a negative review. I want others to avoid having my experiences if possible. They are very unprofessional! If you book with a specific lash tech, there is a good chance that they will just place you with whoever is available when you arrive, without explanation. This happened MULTIPLE times while trying to have my lashes done with Yuura. I think that they prioritize specific customers, even when you have your appointment booked weeks in advance. I tried to ask for a very natural set with them multiple times, but they always seem much more interested in upselling my request of 1d to 2d. The last few months of going here have left me with lashes that I don't feel 100% happy with because they're so thick, even though I specifically ask them for a very natural look. And finally, some of these techs are messy with their work. I've had them do a full set on me in 30~ minutes...which seemed great at the time. Until I realized she had glued multiple clusters to one lash, glued my natural lashes together, and glued the cluster to the middle of my lash. All of this left me with bald spots because my natural lashes were pulled out. Also, depending on the tech, I've had full sets fall out within DAYS! I always do the proper aftercare and sometimes they last but sometimes they literally all fall out within days. Unfortunately, I went to Yuura 2 days before my trip to Hawaii and I had lost 60% of my lashes by day 3 of the trip. I had to go buy strip lashes for my anniversary dinner lol. Generally, I find that their demeanors towards me are rude and I do not feel that I am a valued customer. I've noticed that they aren't like this with every customer. Unfortunately, I recommended this place to a few other people when I was still having good experiences. Every person had their own terrible experience here! From techs getting switched, drama with a tech during a removal that was burning her eyes, not getting what she asked for, and one has clumps of eyelashes that are glued together as we speak (and this was for an important trip!!). I do not recommend this place to anyone anymore lol and I also stopped giving them business. I only hope that my review will help unique lashes to see that they have room to grow and fix it! read more

I was recommended here by a co-worker who always has great lashes, but sadly I did not have a great experience. My lash tech was sweet & soft spoken, but the whole time, the lash glue kept seeping into my eyes, & burning! When I was finished, I couldn't open my eyes, she kept putting a fan on me, but my eyes burned so bad. I swear, the things we do for beauty, but at least I had cute lashes, right?! Wrong!!!! They were barely there!!! For $95, I got a few long ones in the middle & a few short ones on the inner & outer corners... what?! Anyways, I went home because I was the last one of the day & she spent 1 1/2 he in me & her poor stomach was growling. I called the next day to ask for a re-do, she said she would make them fuller, & add longer ones on the outer corners to match the center long ones.... But oh, no, no, after another hour of "fixing them", they were still not natural & wispy & pretty like she promised! It looked like she added some in the sparse areas, cut the corners bluntly & I still had exaggerated long ones in the middle. I had a spot where it look like a section was missing, I pointed it out, & she didn't fix it, even after I asked her to add a few more... she just kept brushing them & telling me they looked cute! .... Eyelashes fall out same day and everyday after. At the end of the week, it looks as if my lashes have never been filled. I frequently fill my eyelashes and needed to find new place closer to home due to moving cities. But this is definitely not the place. Also, the lash technician is late due to their personal issues and makes your appointments late so they do a crappy rushed job that leads to your eyelashes falling out quickly. Best lash place ever. I live in Irvine and nowhere compares to this cute lash shop so I make the 40 minute drive every time. I've had an amazing experience with almost all the lash techs here. My favorite is Mila, she has the softest / gentle hands ever! Everywhere else you'd experience lash techs resting their palms on your forehead, I dislike this so much but with Mila I didn't feel A THING! I literally caught myself falling asleep multiple times. It was so nice of her to update me every once in a while, of how much longer she thinks it'll take. The results are always perfect and I couldn't ask for anything more.
