So I took it in the very first time and they fixed the right rear quarter panel and they had too replace the hub and bearings. I told the guy you should probably replace both sides cause it shifted the axle so too speak. He stated the Insurance company denied that repair! So after I believe 2 weeks I could hear the other side whinning and I called my insurance. GET THIS MY ADJUSTER STATED NOBODY FROM THAT SHOP CONTACTED THEM.and the adjuster called the shop And said they needed too replace the last side plus a tire. So they get my car back have this done thought okay great. Wrong the tire they put on was 10 yrs old. And they denied they did it. Ended up going back yet again too get a tire put on that was not outdated of course after dealing with insurance Co. Yet again. So same car Jan my wife coming home from work on 9000 southhits a hole on the inside lane with about 12 others. Back too unique whole side of the left of the car 2 new tires rims bearings and hubs rear shock and front strut.go too pick it up have a service eng lite 1/2 mile down the road take it back 3 days he said 3 weeks later go too pick it up and then no heat. SO THEY PLACE THEY USED FOR MECHANICS BROKE MY VVT FOR OIL AND WIRING . AND NEVER PUT ANTIGREEZE BACK IN IT. and I told them I could hear something in the right rear of the car clanking.they said busted shock !! Been fixing things on my own since they had it. Took it too big o and they never put in the air said the exact same thing. Now it is real bad suspension needs toobe fixed from my wife's accident.it was not the rear shock. Exceptional service from Unique Auto Body!!!! 12-13 yrs ago, they repaired my car and did an excellent job. Recently, I noticed discoloration on a couple of the panels and recalled UAB's guarantee of their work and gave Chad a call. Without hesitation, he asked me to bring it in and they would take care of it. I dropped my car off Monday. They not only repainted the discolored panels, they touched up scratches in other areas! Initially, I thought these guys were going to be great but was sorely disappointed. I am in the healthcare industry and my job requires me to drive multiple times a day. When the drivers side mirror was broken the 1st place I called said they couldn't even give me an estimate until 12/04 I was horrified (this was Tuesday, 11/19/24)! Then I called UAB - Midvale and a young man named Justin Jones answered the phone and told me I could bring it in anytime for an estimate. I immediately went to UAB and Justin seemed so kind and helpful. He said he could get me a used mirror and have the cover painted and save about $200. How soon can I get it? "2 or 3 days". Heck yes! Justin said he would call me and let me know when it's ready. Friday 11/22 I haven't heard from Justin so I call him. "It will be ready Monday." So Monday morning, 11/18, bright and early, I take my car in and they go outside for a few minutes, they come back and tell me, "We got the wrong kind of mirror. It's not an automatic but we can put it on and at least it will be drivable, and we'll reorder it." I had them put this "mistaken" order on my car. They obviously lied to me every time I talked to anyone. Not only was this mirror a manual mirror (really) it has NOT been painted. Justin said he would personally order it, "it will take 2 days to get here and then 1 day to paint it." I respond, "So, since 3 days would be Thanksgiving, I can come have it put on Friday? AND, YOU"LL call me!" "Yes" he will call me. Friday comes, no word so I call... I can't finish the details and all the jerking around I got. Multiple calls were made and they Justin just kept jerking us around. Bottom line: ULTIMATELY, I had to buy a NEW one after all which COST significantly more, AND a simple job that only took 10 minutes for them took almost an entire month to get accomplished. If you rely on your work, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

Chad and his team repaired and painted our 2008 Saturn outlook a few years ago after I damaged it. Years of use the hood started to look cracked, but nothing else did. The work had a lifetime warranty, so I checked with Chad sending pictures via text Since we live out of state now. They did the warranty repair without question, also turned the car back to us rather fast. They even did a bit of detailing which I never expected, especially not the inside....What??? I've been super frustrated with my experience here. I needed all 4 doors of my Jeep replaced last summer and got my Jeep back with one of the handles only partially there, the doors have never closed properly since, and the seals let an incredible amount of water in every time it rains or snows to the point my carpet at my feet is soaked for days which makes me worried about mold. Not only that, but I brought my Jeep in on a 3/4 tank and got it back completely empty with an extra 200 plus miles on it. I'm still baffled at how that happened. I know because I filled up the tank the day before. In addition, I had bought a cover for the Jeep for the auto shop to use because it didn't have the top or doors on it when I brought it in due to the damage and asked on 2 separate occasions plus having my fiancé call and ask that they please please use the cover because I knew it was going to rain and they had it for a long time. I got the Jeep back with water stains all over all my seats, water damage in my center console and all its contents, the rear compartment for the tire iron was absolutely full of water. This little Allen wrench I had sitting in a tray was all rusty which it wasn't before, another sign of water. I've never let my Jeep be open to rain and always used a cover if the top was off. Somebody sideswiped my car in a work truck, and the driver sent me here and said they were good guys. They fixed my car very quickly, and it looked like new, with the exact match for paint. I passed by here couple times. It seems police trusts them to fix their cars because there are always cop cars parked there for touch up. After a month we bought our new car, I accidently scraped some paint off my left side view mirror. I freaked out completely! I took the car to the shop to get a quote. It cost me $50 to re-spray paint the side view mirror's shell. It seems to be a fair price. I dropped off my car 8 am in the morning and I was told to pick it up by 1pm. It was gettting close to 1pm and they never call, so I decided to call them a half hour before 1pm. They told me my car will be ready in 10 minutes. I guess they will actually get everything done right on time. Loved it! The shell looked like brand new with no scratches and color matches the car completely. I was pretty satisfied! read more

I recently bought a used minivan out of state, and yesterday the inside bottom half of the driver's door stayed closed when I opened the rest of the door, with wires and insulation hanging in-between. After looking at the passenger side I realized that one was falling apart too. I had just finished some vital appointments, drove past Unique Auto Body and the bay doors were open. I tried the front doors but they were locked. After calling around the back, Nelson came to my aid. In 5 minutes and a 3 inch strip of glue on each door he explained that the pins were missing and both doors were fixed! It was after hours...I didn't realize. It would have been so easy for him to send me away with a yell of "Closed!" But instead he took the time to leave his work, come out front and help me. I know this sounds overly dramatic, but with Covid and the racial tension so strong lately I've been so weighed down with peoples' lack of willingness to go out of their way to help anyone they don't know. Nelson reaffirmed my faith in humanity last night...I'll be a repeat customer when I have a big job, because it's businesses who have work ethics like this I want to patronize!! read more

We've had every car in my family go through Unique at least once. Simply put, they are the best I've found in the valley when it comes to auto body work. They are quick and efficient with repairs, and in spite of their speed, the cars always look immaculate when they're returned. Pricing wise, it's neither cheap nor outlandish. I'd say they fall somewhere in the middle. All of this on top of good customer service makes Unique an ideal place to take your vehicle. I was an idiot and hit my neighbors parked car. The guys at Unique we're great. I told them the story, they didn't make me feel like an idiot and they took great care of my car. It was a couple of days longer in getting fixed than I hoped, but it was well worth the wait. They did an amazing job on my car, you can't tell I ever hit anything where the damage used to be on my car. They even fixed a big scratch on the complete other side of the car, free of charge! I needed a new front bumper. I had my rear bumper done a few years ago at the dealership and they had my car for almost two weeks! Unique came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! Paint looks great but don't trust they're suspension work or decontamination. I had my truck stolen 1/1/19 got it back 1/4/19 totally messed up had signs of drug use in the truck also was riding funny after I got it back. They had a tow truck pick my truck up 1/8/19 I get a call that Friday the 11th asking where my truck was because someone at unique informed my insurance the truck wasn't there. That's after unique towed it there! Next I get my truck back after 2 weeks saying the job is done. I get it back truck decals are missing the carpet is wet and there is still drug paraphernalia left in the truck... so I ask for proof it was cleaned and all the sudden he doesn't have the Proof and asks me to return the truck to be recleaned this time there is paperwork pictures even state reporting of the drug removal they put the decals on and I thought I was good. The next few days I drove the truck no problem then the third day back the suspension is messed up and I'm stranded with my kids in a parking lot .. unique tows it yet again and I'm left with a rental and they have it for another 3 days or so and tell me my cv axels on my truck are bad and that they will replace them ... today 2/18/19 I'm still having a issue with the truck handling I take it to my own shop and pay out of pocket to have a 60$ alignment completed. They charged my insurance 800$+ in suspension work and never ever aligned my truck. 2 months of hell and they missed a simple fix and blamed everything on my truck being old and the parts being old yet I replaced the same parts a year prior. Stay away find a honest shop who will diagnose it accurately and honestly. read more

I had a really nice experience at Unique Auto Body. This shop was recommended by my coworker after I got rear-ended by another car. The damage was pretty major to the rear of the car. They said the car would be in the shop for about 2 weeks, but had the work completed in less time than that. Have taken several cars here and have been happy with the work. I was in a fender bender Monday morning which required $3200 of work and my car was ready to go Friday after wrk. They do awesome work and quite honestly my car looks better and is better aligned now after my accident due to two horrible alighnments Burt Brothers did. My hood was pretty chipped up before accident but had to be repainted because of some damage and I noticed a new rock chip that happened between Friday and Sunday so I called Unique Auto Body and they are going to give me a bottle of paint to fix it. Also, I was told it would be $500 and when I went there it was $538. Something about the tire and the percentage insurance would pay to cover a new tire. I let them know that I told them I could ahve the tire repalced for $10 ant Discount becuse of my warranty so they ate the extra $28 and just charged me $510. Thany You! I recently moved to Utah and bought a new Jeep just for the conditions. My new car had 300 mi on it when, you guessed it, Willy was backed into by a total S### ####! Since I had no idea who did great work as an auto body shop, I went with Unique as a recommendation. Then I met Chad. Glad I did. I'm picky and my expectations are very high. The car looks like it rolled off the factory floor! The paint job was an excellent match and that was my biggest concern, not to mention the use of all factory parts. STAY FAR AWAY FROM UNIQUE!!! My car was hit by a car backing out of a parking space in a parking garage. It munched the passenger side rear quarter panel along with the rim. Unique failed to do the job right the first time when they had the car for three weeks. Big gaps, glass mounted incorrectly, plastic fascia not aligned, and seals were a joke. I took it back in and to their credit they accepted the re-repair without question. However, the promised time came and went without a phone call. So, I called in and they said they would have it finished the next day and I would receive a phone call in the morning. Surprise, no phone call. I call in and they say it is sure to be finished by the end of the day and I will get a call. 5:30 and still no call. I call in again and I am told that the guy handling my car is busy and he will call me back in 5 min. I wait 15 min and call back. Still busy. I finally get a call 5 min before they close saying they need an additional day! (Which happened as I wrote this review). I understand that things happen, but that is what customer service is for: to COMMUNICATE with the customer to let them know what is going on! Also, don't make promises you can't keep. It should have been fixed right the first time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. *update 10/16/18* So, I went back in to pick up my car and once again the work is nothing short of shoddy. I originally decided to take the L, but now a reply has been made by the owner claiming ignorance. This goes to show the character of this place. Now I am going to tell the whole story. When I picked up my car I wanted to argue that they had managed not only a shoddy job, but they had actually done some additional damage, but I honestly didn't trust these people with my vehicle at this point so I just left. They damaged my right rear window so badly it has scratches on the inside factory finish edges and they had to re-tint it! (which is horrible and noticeably different from the original job). If that wasn't bad enough, I found new dents in my roof rails and adjacent painted sheetmetal and above the front passenger door, my right front headlight and blinker were unplugged(I mean, seriously?!? I had to find that one out the hard way AT NIGHT), and the seal, although new, is marred by a lazy cap job that has glue everywhere and separates at the end which I catch my hand on EVERY TIME I wash my car, and the wheel arch plastic was again mounted incorrectly and has visible gaps and catches water. Also now for some reason the right rear door doesn't fit quite like it used to. These people are sloppy, rude, non-communicative and dishonest. GO ANYWHERE BUT UNIQUE! FAIR WARNING!!! *Update 11/14/2018* The owner posted a reply 8 days ago denying that my car had been in their shop. I supplied the receipt 2 days later through a private message with my contact info. I have not heard word one from them in a week. I am considering legal action because this place takes advantage of their customers and then they get mad when the customers hold them accountable for not holding to their commitments or being professional and honest. I also took my car to the dealership and found out that my right rear camber (where the car was hit) is stuck at -1 degree and cannot be adjusted, which means that Unique also failed to fully inspect the suspension and repair my car properly! Went in to get my front bumper fixed and these guys went waaaay above my expectations. They got my car done on the exact timeline they quoted, I was paying out of pocket and they were able to do it under what was quoted and what I budgeted for!! I could not be happier with my experience here. They even deep cleaned the inside (something I was waiting to do after I fixed the car). My car looked so much better than when I left it with them. It was clean, fixed and almost looked like a completely new car! They were so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend them!! read more

Spoiler alert: I cannot recommend Unique. My car has been at this shop for almost three weeks now after they initially told me four days. It has grown frustrating as they give me one excuse after another for why my car is not ready to go. In Utah, in order to get DMV to change the title of a totaled car from salvage to restoration, the car has to pass a safety inspection. The people at Unique seemed not to know this! One would expect a collision repair shop to know it and get the inspection as part of the repair process, but these guys didn't even know. So I told them about it and asked them to get the safety inspection done. Instead they got an emissions inspection, which I don't need, and now they want me to pay for it! Not acceptable. They finally got the safety inspection done two minutes ago. Initially, the cat didn't pass, so Unique had to make yet another repair. Throughout this whole process, Ben, who worked on my case, was non-communicative. I had to call him after each promised date passed in order to find out what was going on with my car. Several times, he promised to call me "right back" and didn't call at all. On the other hand, the work was outstanding. Everything was beautiful. These guys know their craft. This is what warrants the third star. These guys are quite nice, but their customer service leaves much to be desired. read more
