Not only do they do quality work here, they fought for me against insurance that refused to pay for my OEM style original factory bumper after their client hit and ran my car because it was "cheaper" for them. Do Not go to this place!! My daughter went here and all I have to say is get everything in "blood" writing they do not even want to honor their own quote! Their excuse was the female employee "was not writing up quotes properly" she is no longer with us. The owner Robert was very rude to her made her cry what kind of auto body shop has zero customer service and doesn't honor their own quote. Go to Valley collision they have plenty of shops and treat customers with respect and kindness this shop seems to have lost it. The owner is very greedy he called her names and has to live with himself! Even if the employee doesn't work for you then you should honor your own paperwork. Honor your own quote & stop lying to customers!! Don't waste your time here!! The owner is not nice sorry if his lifestyle has lead him to make pre assumptions. Talk to them on the phone multiple times they gave me good answers I went in there multiple times waiting for this Robert guy to show up finally he shows up super late in the day and acts like a total arrogant dork. Par for the course when you see him but this shop is looking for big money Ins jobs and they are literally basic af. Next! I called and spoke at length before I came. They told me come at 12. I did. Then at 1. Just to find out mr big shot doesn't want the gig. I just asked that he tell his employees that as not to waste my time. They knew exactly what I was bringing and wasted my day. Let him say what he wants just go there and get an estimate. They won't even work with State Farm because they are such a rip-off shop. I didn't even care about price have plenty of money. I went in for repair on my 2019 Lexus NX300H. Murphy helped me from the jump, gave me the best quote of 3 places for out of pocket repairs. They helped me save where they could, and made sure to let me know what other work needed to be done aside from the estimate. My car came out looking brand new, except for a part that needed to be clipped in to fit flush, which they fixed for me a week later at my earliest convenience, easy and quickly. read more

I have used Chris' Body & Paint in the past with my previous car, and had excellent service and repair. So when my new car got some damage I knew exactly who to take it too, however this experience was less than ideal. I brought in my 4Runner and my insurance claim estimlate, and they wouldn't even come out and look at the car. Just wanted to get me scheduled. Got on the books, much sooner than others as it "wasn't that bad". I finally convinced the guy to come look at it, to which he had to reschedule me because that damage was that bad. They told me it was going to be 1-2 weeks in the shop. I then started getting appointment reminders that my car was scheduled for the wrong week, I call them and they said to ignore. I show up the week i'm supposed to, and did the drop off option by filling out forms and leaving your key. This was Sunday. Well Tuesday rolls around, hadn't heard anything, so I called to check to make sure everything was ok, to which they said yup, and end of phone call. Now a week rolls by, and I called them back as I hadn't heard anything, to which they tell me they haven't got supplemental check from insurance, so my cars been sitting there for a week with no work happening on it. They then tell me maybe you should try calling. I call them a week later to check in, and somehow my car is done. And told me to come pick it up. So I show up the next day. The lady checking me out pretty much wanted nothing to do with me except get my money and for me to leave. No professionalism, no appreciation, just money and get out of my hair attitude. Mind you my car looks ok. But the experience I had this 2nd time here was awful. I'm a paying customer and chose to come back here, don't treat me like i'm not wanted, or you shouldn't have accepted my case. This was not how Inwas treated my first time here, I was treated with respect, they kept me in the loop, did fair business with me, and ultimately had a good experience. Not this time. I will be damned to come back to a place who doesn't respect their customers and treats them like garbage when doing business. Be cautious of this company unless you like feeling like a burden to them. read more

Wow. I've tried to write this review 5-6 times and can't do this body shop justice. To paint the picture : I got engaged on a Sunday and had the front of my car wrecked by an unsecured table in the back of a pick up truck on Tuesday. The other driver got out of his car, screamed at me, and (after determining the table was OK) drove off before I could take photos of the damage. It was an emotional rollercoaster of a week to say the least. I called Chris's on Wednesday morning to have AAA tow my beloved 13y/o Ford Escape over to see if there was any way he could be saved. To preface, I am a crier when it comes to stressful situations. Can't help it. Throughout this whole ordeal, I cried. Alot. I cried on the phone asking if they could take a look at him, I cried in the office. I was a complete and utter mess and thought the car I had put my life savings in at 16 years old was going to be ruined because of a TABLE. They were nothing but kind and accomodating and not once made me feel like a complete dingus for being a wreck (get the pun?) They walked around the car with me, assessed the damage, and immediately got to work with Statefarm. It was a seamless transition between myself, Chris's, and the insurance company and they called regularly to check in to 1) give me an update on the vehicle and 2) see how I was doing. It felt genuine and was much needed during a crisis like auto body work. They finished in a timely manner and had my little Escape pulled up ready to take home in 2 weeks. They were professional, up front about cost, and very transparent about was was being spent and where. They are the standard for any work I need done on my car from here on out and I will NEVER take my vehicles anywhere else. You will not be disappointed or bamboozled. Such a great experience! Most car places make me feel taken advantage of but everyone at Chris's gave me the feeling that they were genuine and honest. They quoted me 10 days to fix the damage done to my sienna due to an accident. They had it done in 5. I also had them replace a broken latch on the center console and they did it for way cheaper than what the dealership quoted me. I have had the unfortunate privilege of taking both of our cars to Chris Body and Paint in the past two months. I say unfortunate, because, well, who likes to have their car crunched (especially twice in as many months)? I say privilege because it was such an easy, pleasant experience both times. Darrell, the shop foreman and estimator, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. I've never been involved in working with insurance companies and body shops prior to this, and he made it seamless and easy. Val, the owner, and Josh, her son, were extremely helpful and accommodating. They completed both jobs way ahead of schedule and on budget. They hammered out all of the details with the insurance company, which saved me from having to haggle with them. The work these guys do is top notch. They refuse to cut corners and won't send you out the door without making sure you're totally happy with their work. I highly recommend them. read more

This is the best body / paint shop I've found in the south valley area. I've had 2 repairs done by Chris'. They do the repairs right, they know the art of matching paint, they're pretty fast (within reason), and they stand behind their work. Their prices are good, too. You could pay more at a dishonest shop trying to rip you off (I could name a few around town), or you can pay less at a cheap shop that cuts corners and doesn't do the quality work these guys do (again, I know more than a couple) - but these guys do good, honest work for the right price. I've paid for one repair out of pocket and done another through insurance. Both were great experiences. I hope I don't have to have body or paint work done again anytime soon, but stuff happens, and if it does I'll be coming back to Chris'. (PS... I'm on a road trip.. traveling through Utah.. and ended up in a car accident. Total hassle to be so far from home. I have good insurance, but I know absolutely NO resources here in Sandy UT. My midwest insurance company recommended a large chain but I would rather find local, honest, and reliable. OMG I feel like I landed at the best place. Chris' Body and Paint went above and beyond. Robert immediately had me on FaceTime to help evaluate if my car was drive-able. The office was efficient and kind. The ongoing communication was excellent. My car repair and paint job is fabulous.. and when my insurance company even commented about their communication and efficiency.. well... woo hoo.. lucky me to have found them. Chris's Auto Body is the PERFECT EXAMPLE for all other body shops. A great curb appeal, the yard is clean without any pieces of junk rusting away. The office is well organized using computers at every turn. The office staff are professionally dressed and treat you accordingly. The shop is well lit, neat and well organized. The bottom line; my Baby was well cared for. It was stored inside each night and during inclement weather. The repairs to my car could not be detected. I would give them ten stars if I could. They do free inspections if you're going to buy a car! Took my new used car (that I'd had two days) here for what I thought was bad rubber door trim causing a little leaking. Turns out that the whole side of my car was collapsed from a previous accident and it hadn't been repaired correctly. There was a one inch gap between the closed door and the frame. They inspected the rest of the car and found that the airbags were also defective. Without these guys I wouldn't have known my car was deadly. They saved my life. They treated me like a sister, and were genuinely concerned about my safety. They helped me know what to say for when I returned to the dealer. Thankfully the dealer let me switch for a different car. Before I purchased the new car the dealer offered I brought it back to Chris' guys and they inspected every inch of it for free. They even pulled up the Kelly Blue Book Value and NADA Value for me to take to the dealer in order to negotiate price. These guys are the nicest I have met in a long time. I almost wished that my car had damage so I could take it here for them to fix. I would recommend them to everyone. read more

I have done business with Chris Body and Paint before and they have been great, but since the new ownership, something has changed. There was not a lot of communication when it came to when my Truck would be done, first it was it will be done by Friday, I never heard from them, so I called..it will be done by Monday... they never called and so I called on Monday, it is not done it will be done by Tuesday... so my point is last time I had my car done there they gave me a time and it was done by that time, not so much this time and it was frustrating. If they had said in the beginning it will not be ready until next Tuesday I would have been good with that. So maybe with the new ownership they need to look at their customer service. They do great work there and we are very pleased with the results, but as an older generation we like good customer service it is what keeps us coming back and makes us refer our friends. read more

Robert was extremely transparent and helpful with how to deal with the other guys insurance company so that I didn't get taken advantage of (as single female always going into the shop or making calls to the insurance company), he kept me up to date on progress throughout the process, and I felt he absolutely had my best interest in mind. He was respectful and trustworthy and I would recommend this shop to everyone. I have even called them for recommendations later on for repairs needed for my new vehicle, Robert was honest that they were not the right ones for the job, but he also gave me recommendations for shops they trust and know would not take advantage of me and my little knowledge of car repairs. I originally found chris auto body and paint by checking reviews on yelp and was impressed with what people had to say, and they lived up to every word. Robert did a great job of contacting me immediately and explaining the whole process, even explaining things that geico failed to mention. Throughout the whole process he kept me informed, I never had to call him once! To fully understand my experience at Chris' Body & Paint you first need to know the events that lead me to them in the first place. I had purchased a new car and maybe had it three short weeks before I received my first ding. Someone had opened their door into my passenger door leaving what I would call a major scratch, however, in actuality it was a rather small, but it was a scratch nonetheless. I went to the dealership where I purchased my car and asked for a recommendation on where they'd get this fixed and they promptly said Chris' Body & Paint. Taking their advice I scheduled an appointment to get a quote on what it would run me to fix this "little" scratch. From the moment I walked in their door everyone was extremely friendly, and very understanding of my feelings toward this dreaded scratch that had grown bigger and bigger in my mind. After taking a look at my car they recommend a couple of options. I decided to forgo painting both doors because I figured I would accumulate more scratches in the near future do to some sort of human error. Instead I chose to "patch" the scratch. Using an old school tactic that involves clear coat, a razor blade, some sand paper, and two types of wax they made my tiny scratch disappeared before my eyes. The scratch is gone and my door looks good as new. I couldn't be happier with the way my door turned out. It looks absolutely amazing! One thing is certain after this whole ordeal: Chris' Body & Paint captured a customer for life. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Thank you guys for everything! read more

I am in the process of fighting with this body shop. I took my car for an estimate, they forwarded the estimate to the insurance company, the insurance company of the other driver that rear ended me and made all the paperwork a breeze. Now I know why. They took the bumper off as a needed and necessary repair, repainted it, then said it was "rippled" and they had to order a whole new bumper. This is a foreign upper end car. While replacing the newest bumper, the "wiring harness for the receiver" was now noted to having someone in the past, try to splice wires into it. After consulting with another auto mechanic to which the pictures were provided to it was explained "these wires have been crimped, maybe a wire tie to get them out of the way". Or maybe the wires got damaged during the removing off the bumper or the reinstallation of the bumper. I explained the backup lights were no longer working since being at Chris' Body Shop. They indicated this wiring problem is a "pre-existing" condition and the insurance company would not pay for it. The wires apparently were damaged prior to Chris' Body Shop, they tell me. With an alarm sounding and a light on the dash brightly blinking at me after the shop, I am expected to believe this was "a pre-existing condition"! read more

I really wish I could of left positive feedback but there was very little positive with the experience I recently had there. I took my car there to have the passenger door painted and a replacement front bumper that required painting. The first issue was that it took an additional day to complete over what was promised because they had to repaint a piece. I was paying for this out of pocket so it cost me an additional day for my rental car. Then I get a call telling me that my car was ready and they said that it needed to be in a cashiers check. They have all the major credit cards posted right on their front window. I told them I needed to pay with a credit card and they acted very disappointed. Those items alone left a bad taste in my mouth. But then immediately after picking up my car I noticed a dashboard light on that wasn't on before. So I had to take it back and have them clear it. A couple of days later I noticed on the door they painted something in the clear coat. I took it back to them and they said it was dust and that it was very common to have dust in the clear coat. They could buff and polish it out. They did so and I left. Then 5 minutes after leaving I noticed several other places with dust in the paint. I took it back and asked them to check all the places they worked on fix them. They worked on it about 45 minutes and instead of just fixing the dust areas they did the whole door. After work that day I was looking at the door and noticed that there were many places that were now cloudy and blotchy. So I went back to them a 4th time and they polished it out again to remove most of the cloudy blotchy areas. Since then I have noticed additional dust and cloudy and blotchy areas. My time is valuable and I will not just keep wasting time taking it back over and over. 4 times was 4 times too many. And having dust in the paint is NOT normal and is a sign of a poorly maintained body shop and very poor quality workmanship. I am going to take my car to a reputable body shop and have the door repainted. I have had body work done on several of my vehicles and have never once had a single problem like I've had at Chris' Body and Paint. I will never be going back and certainly not recommend them to anyone....quite the opposite! The only redeeming quality with this experience was Jordan that I worked with, he was very nice and responsive. read more
