I recently had my EV towed to Union Weber Auto Care because I had a flat tire and no spare. The mechanic found that I had a bolt in my tire and thought it was unrepairable. With my permission, they ordered two new tires which were available the very next day at the shop. That morning I received a call from Mark, that in reviewing the flat tire again he thought he could plug the tire, which he did saving me hundreds of dollars and requiring them to return the two new tires. Update: They charge $35 for a tire patch not $40 as I was apparently overquoted by your employee.. So that 15 minute job (or less) is the equivalent of only $140/hr for labor and 3 cents of material. Not $160/hr as I previously mentioned. My apologies for giving the impression you are overcharging. Oh- and the place down the street ended up only charging me $10.. This has got to be the worst auto care in Saint Louis! Both of my family members were scammed and the cars were not repaired. The cars were working for only a couple of days but after that it broke down again. We asked for the car parts back but they said that they threw it away already! I certainly do not recommend you to bring in your car to this auto care. They take advantage of foreigners like my family members because we do not know much about cars. So how DO you trust a car mechanic? Mark at Union Weber Auto Care was recommended by a couple people that I really trust. I tried them. They have worked on two of my cars. Always came in lower than other estimates, always treated me with the BEST customer service. Always did great work. If that weren't enough. I had gone to a chain auto place to get my inspection and they told me I needed a brake job. I believed them because of the mileage brake pads since the last brake job. But I hesitated to have them do the work. I got an estimate from Mark and his estimate was HALF the other bid (BMW 528i). I went ahead, he ordered the pads and I dropped the car off a few days later. Mark calls me this morning. I don't need brake pads, plenty of life left on them! I was being scammed. Mark could have easily just done the brake job and I would have never known, but he didn't. He had to put the car back together, but told me he would return the brake pads and NO CHARGE. THIS is how you know you can trust a car mechanic. FYI: I had a large meat lovers pizza delivered to them at lunch and brought a couple Bread company gift cards for Mark and another person who spent time with me on the phone. Mark will take care of you. If he does, no obligation to take care of him, but why not? At least write another five star review for him. And yeah, Michael H. BEWARE! Was told car was totaled. After being told that, I sold the car to a Ase-certified master technician for $600. The buyer/mechanic informed me within hours that the factory alarm was the reason it would not start and it works as it should. Took my car for DECADES for regular maintenance. Every time engine light was on cost $200 to repair something. If something was broke(leaking water) it was $1000. After years they were claiming to fix the same things. I KNEW I had problems with suspension but not ONCE was that even suggested to repair. He would say something about new tires. UBER INTERESTING. I've been taking my cars to Union and Weber Auto Care for over 25 years and have enjoyed excellent results without exception. I drive "mature" cars of necessity since I travel a lot and consider car payments a waste of money. My neighbors marvel at how I drive car after car into the 200,000-plus mile range with no major issues. It does require some thought and effort to stay safe and free of breakdowns. I usually do the simple repairs myself, like oil changes. But ANY car with over 50,000 miles needs a professional now and then. And that's where Union and Weber Auto Car has been so great for me.
