Editing my review to reflect my full experience. Was very happy that Andy Wurm reached out to me and offered assistance with this matter. This probably would not have been an issue for someone who drives enough to replace tires every 5 years. Great to see the company stand behind their product and service. Bought a set of new tires from Andy Wurm in November 2015. I don't put a ton of miles on my vehicle. Tons of tread left on them. But I noticed that one of the tires developed a slow leak, so I took it to my local service station (I moved to Florida after buying the tires). Turns out 2 of the tires they sold me were made in 2011. So they were 4 years old when they sold them to me. That's roughly half the recommended life for a set of tires. So now I'm having to replace all of these tires 4 years sooner than I should have. No point in saying I'd never shop there again - as I live out of state. But really disappointed. read more

I had a very long wait (2 1/2 hours... arrived at 11:18 am left at 1:41) simply for 2 tires to be changed. I watched the person "assigned" my vehicle leave the area several times. All the while, the person working next to him serviced 2 cars and had just pulled in another when mine was finally ready. I asked cordially a couple times about the length of time it was taking and was assured it was being worked on. A woman came in got a bit belligerent about speaking to someone who told her they had tires for her vehicle but upon arrival. She was told the did not the tires; immediately, they asked with whom did she speak... she said a guy (I experienced the same situation... a guy reluctantly went to the back to look. Came back and told the rep that indeed they had them). This same guy bent over backwards to appease this woman (coming out to the lobby having a personal one on one conversation, going to look at her car, looking her info up in the system, and giving suggestions on alternative tires to use). I am not going to say it was based on her race (Caucasian), but she definitely received preferential treatment in comparison to what I did. Bottom Line: Their system needs updating or they need serious reconciliation with products on hand and their system. Also, great customer service should be received by all regardless of race and definitely not just to the "squeaky" wheels of the world. read more

I found a new family tire shop! I went to Firestone initially (first mistake) for my inspection. They failed me and told me I needed 4 new tires, quoted me $800 for all. I went to Wurm and they passed me! I still decided to buy four new tires, all for $400. I am very pleased with their service and their honesty. Will never go anywhere else for tires! Andy's are an excellent auto repair shop which specializes in tires & maintenance. Al was very straight-forward in how they could my make/model. SUV's ABS was "fixed" three times. They refuse to acknowledge and honor their warranty. I strongly suggest you take your vehicle to a more professional place where they actually take pride in and stand by their work. read more

Prices affordable, service bad. Check your paperwork and especially the mileage they document because it gets recorded in car history and is impossible to correct when you sell your car. read more

I had my vehicle towed here for tire replacement on a flat. After I paid and entered my vehicle to leave my tan interior was covered in grease. I immediately went back inside to advise them. Someone came out with a bottle of "TUFF STUFF & a white tile" spayed and wiped and had to repeat several times before grime was off. He attempted to be done with noticeable spots still there. Where he wiped extremely hard changed the texture of my leather leaving a smooth surface. read more

Seriously they blamed me for this. Bought the tire 5 days before this incident.. Tire blows out on the highway at 65mph... Thanks Andy Wurm for putting my wife and kids in danger and then forcing me to pay for another tire because you claim I drove 1/2 a mile on the tire. Lol what a joke.. Been buying tires from them since I got my first car over 30 years ago. I'm out as a long time customer and will use my voice and media platform to spread this story. Store is clean and staff friendly. Very honest. I had a flat that had to be patched at another store (who tried to sell me a new tire). Went to Andy Wurm Tire to get the tire I thought I needed. They said the patch was good and that I didn't need a new tire. They were right. I got several more months out of those tires. Just went back for four new tires yesterday. Great service! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD I bought a tire from Andy Wurm Tire for $120 They mount and balance the tire on the rim. Turns out the tire is defective from the manufacture. I take the rim and tire back to Andy Wurm to let them fix the situation. They say they "the tire is defective" and they will replace the tire. However they are going charge me $25 to put the new tire on the rim. Should I have to pay? I feel no since they are the ones who sold me the defective tire to begin with. I did NOTHING wrong other than coming to Andy Wurm to get a tire apparently. There are plenty of other places I could have went to but I like to help the "mom and pop" local shop The gentleman on the phone I talked to was extremely rude, he kept cutting me off and talking over me. When i drove down to get my tire and rim and i spoke with Joe he was rude and walked away from me as i was telling him how i felt. I live in St Charles about 20 minutes away. I could easily take my business to Walmart but i have been a customer of Andy Wurm for over 10 years. I purposely drive that far because the shop did excellent work. From here on I will be taking my business elsewhere (which Joe seemed not to have a problem with). Ps. I took the wheel and tire to Walmart they put the tire on the rim and put it on the car for $19 An email was sent to Karla. I will see if she responds. read more

Called around to several shops for a used tire. Andy Wurm Tire's had the best deal. I spoke with Zack over the phone and he was very helpful. I mistakenly said I needed a tire size of 250 50 R17 for a 2010 Ford Fusion but he corrected me and from that point I knew I had to get my tire there. I showed up and Zach took care of me. While changing my tire he was able to fix my tire sensor right away which had been out for several months. Great reputable place. Kudos to Zack. read more

Have to admit, I was sort of nervous going here since I'm not that into cars and only know the basic things. But the staff here didn't make me feel like a fool even though I felt stupid asking questions. Carol was the front counter lady and was very nice and friendly. Zach was my mechanic and he was AWESOME!!! Gave me a great deal and helped me out alot. If you go here, ask for Zach...trust me, that guy will help you out. read more

One of the most horrible experiences I've ever had in my life. Went in to get a flat tire replaced, someone worked on the wrong side of the vehicle unknown to me. They did not tighten the lug nuts on the car. I was minutes away from my destination after leaving and the tire came off my car while I was driving on Hudson Ave. The tire came off missing an on coming car driving by inches. I called Andy Wurm and was told to have Ronsick Towing company come pick my car up and bring it to Andy Wurm so that the damage could be assessed and damages fixed. Andy Wurm did not follow through with what they said they would do I had to call the police and I am now in the process of filing a civil law suit against the company. Do not patronize this establishment, absolutely awful customer service skills and one of the young ladies working at the counter has the nastiest attitude. If you want good; honest service then do not go here. I took one of my tires/rims here in August 2011 to see why it was leaking, they said I tore the inside of the tire and it had nothing to do with a dent in the rim so I should purchase a new tire and it would be fine. I bought the tire specifically asking them to double check so I didn't waste my money, the reassured me and put the new tire on. In Oct it started leaking again so I took it back under the warranty and they put some goop on it because they said there was corrosion. It started leaking again Jan 2012 and when I called they said it must be the bend in the rim and if we brought it in we would have to pay because the warranty only covered the tire (that we didn't need) when I asked for the manager Andy Wurm Jr got on the phone. He was very rude and condescending stating it was the bend in the rim and it wasn't covered. When I asked how they knew that without looking at it and why they lied in August 2011, he would ignore my questions and state we should have had the rims off months ago. I explained with the 40-50 degree weather that has nothing to do with the bend their saying is causing the leak and they ripped us off for $150. When I asked if they would put the factory tires on since they misdiagnosed the problem and had us waste that money, he said absolutely not unless I pay $125. When I realized we were getting no where I asked if they were with the BBB and he said yes and hung up the phone.. I took my tire to Zisser tire, they were extremely nice, only charged $25 to put on my factory tires on and sent my rim to Dawson to be fixed for only $40. I always like to read up on a business before I use them, so please believe me when I say Andy Wurm is overpriced, dishonest, and has poor customer service read more
