I am always running over a nail or something else that requires a patch or sometimes (unfortunately), a whole new tire. It's a curse. We really love a local spot that's close to our house, but found ourselves in a real pickle the Friday before the Fourth of July weekend. We had a tire losing air, and they couldn't get us in until Monday because they were so busy. That's when I gave Henry's a call. Charles was so nice on the phone, and didn't even flinch when I asked if they could look at it and make a potential repair by the end of the day. I went and dropped it off right away, and they were so great with communication; without a few hours, they had found the culprit, patched it, and gave me a call to come pick it up. The whole thing cost $25 - I guess that's pretty standard for a patch, but it's definitely the least amount of money I've ever spent on a car repair. We will absolutely be using Henry's in the future and I'm so grateful for their professionalism and how quick they got us take care of! read more

I went here to get a quote on a tire replacement and when I initially walked in one of the employees named Phil was helping an older AA gentleman, he didn't acknowledge/greet me when I came in but I shrugged it off and sat down. 2 minutes later an older Caucasian gentleman walked in and he was immediately greeted by Phil as he was still assisting the first guy. Phil finishes helping first guy and then immediately asks second guy how he can help him. I let him finish helping second guy and when he asks me how he can help me I'm in complete disbelief. I asked him why he helped him before me and his response was "because he used to be the owner". I then tell him that I'm not sure if I want to give them my business and he says "fine you can leave, I don't have to help you". We exchanged a few more words and I left but that level of blatant racism was completely distasteful and I'll never return there. Hope this helps someone else that's thinking about giving this establishment their hard earned money. read more

Henry Tire and automotive not great for Intoxaloc installation for Hyundai Sonatas... for details read on.... Went there to have an intoxilock installed. Dropped it off at 8am in the morning. The guy at the front desk said it would be done sometime in the afternoon. Called before closing time at 5pm and it still wasn't done, and the person on the phone said "the guy who normally installs the Intoxiloc was running late and he wasn't able to finish and it would probably be ready by 9am in the morning. Day two. Ok no big deal. So I call at 9am... it's still not done...guy on the phone says it will be done some time in the afternoon....so no big deal I have meetings at work I can get an Uber to work...and Uber to the garage. I call at 1:45 am and the guy says oh it should be done in an hour from now...come pick it up then. Make a long story short...I was able to get there at 4:30 thinking it would be done when I got there...and two auto mechanics ( not sure if they were actual auto mechanics ?) were still working on it. The front desk guy says "the guy that normally works on the Intoxiloc wasn't able to work on it"... and they still weren't able to get it working. He said they "had to tear my whole dashboard out" (!) to get to find the connections they needed to get to...in such a way that it wasn't the normal procedure. He walks me back to the car it looked awful. Two guys working on the front of my car...with the driver side dash removed...I let them fiddle with it for a while. So now it is 5:30pm after closing time...he asks if they can finish it tomorrow and that it "always goes this way" ... which is NOT at all what the Intoxiloc salesman said (a day at the most) ..at this point I said calmly " we'll if you can't get it installed in 30 minutes....I think maybe I'd like you to remove what you put in it and refund my money"...Needless to say the did refund my money..but then the front desk guy says he's going to give ME the Intoxilock so you can have some one else install it. I said "no thanks, you can send it back to Intoxiloc and maybe I will rethink this Intoxiloc business. I also told the front desk guy ... "you know outside of bodywork I have never had to wait more than a day to get my car worked on", and after I witnessed what was going on in the garage that day you guys didn't leave me with a lot of confidence".... so after about 15 minutes... the shop manager or desk guy hands me the key to my Sonata annnd he makes sure to say: "You know you should... why don't you work on stuff yourself like a real man"! I laughed at him and drove off. Extra points to him for not using profanity I guess. So in summary....the man at the counter made it abundantly clear he wasn't expecting me and that "Intoxiloc likes to run their shop" by scheduling appointments they aren't aware of apparently. I let them fiddle around with my car for two whole days, my car smells like an ashtray, I still don't know if the guys working on my car were qualified to do the work, and I was spoken to in a derogatory manor. Don't go here if you need an Intoxiloc installed on your Hyundai. read more

I found Henry's during and online search for places near my office and saw several positive reviews so I gave them a shot. I was having brake problems on a very recently purchased vehicle and was really stressed out by the time I arrived at the shop. All the guys at Henry's were calm, professional and seemed to genuinely want to be helpful. They found and fixed the problem with the brakes, took the time to explain exactly what had gone wrong, showing me the parts they had taken off the vehicle and I felt like what they charged me for the repairs was fair. After having such a bad experience with a shady car dealer it was so nice to leave Henry's and feel like I had been taken care of rather than taken advantage of. I will certainly return to Henry's for any future repairs as well as regular maintenance. A+ read more

The guys at Henry's are the friendliest in St Louis! They are laid back but they still get the job done fast. Fair prices too. They are very transparent and willing to explain stuff unlike some shops that treat you like a dummy. I brought in some low profile tires and they didn't complain about it at all unlike most shops. From what I've seen these guys do top-notch work. And they even play Jimmy Buffet on the garage floor... What more could you ask for? read more

Henry's is a great spot to go as long as THEY don't make any mistakes or misdiagnoses. This is where the problem begins. I had over $1000 worth of work done this past spring and was EXTREMELY pleased with the service. I returned this past week with a related issue and was told the fuel filter was the cause, which I paid for. Three days later, the original issue resurfaced. I immediately called, explained the problem and asked what could be done and was met with a flip "well, what do you want us to do about it?" and "there's obviously something else wrong with the car." Well yes, "obviously" all of the signs are pointing in the OPPOSITE direction of the fuel filter and this is "obviously" my problem. I was super disgusted that I just paid for something totally unrelated to the issue at hand and was being served two scoops of "oh well." During the course of the phone call, they refused to take responsibility for misdiagnosing the issue and a ring around the rosie of sorts had to ensue before FINALLY being offered to take another look at the vehicle when another diagnostic is the very LEAST that should have been offered initially, whether I chose to have any additional work done or not. After it was said and done (2nd diagnostic), I was offered an apology, but the bad taste is in my mouth and a healthy dose of Colgate followed by a shot of Listerine won't even remove it. Why? This place is awasmoe I was refers to this shop when my car broke down on highway because of a trasmisoin leak a relly big one. I was referred to this place from triple AAA towing . I was not shur what to expect from this place bur I was very impressed by them Mike the machine was super nice and very up front with me and what was wrong with the my car and what was gone take to fix the problems .he always keep me informed and in the loop what was going on with my car .he even had a nother second appion on my car thst was no coast to me.they wanted to make shure the problem the digonose was indeed the problem. And he had my safety at heart .to keep me safe on the rode . My car had a car problem.they saw Be four but was not come problem that why they got a secomd appoine on it. I was appreciative of there onisety and them keeping me up dated and gave me some time to think about the repaid cost as it end up being abigger problem with my transmission.I was greatfulro them for being thurle on the king on the problem and not just fixing ot so it could do it again they took the xtar time the need to fix the right way the first time. And they all ways called me with any changes on the car. And the called me to tell me. It was Finsh and what all they did to fix the car to get me back on the road and safe. Angie was the Secretary for this shop she to was awsome if mike could not call me she did .they bought where good at explaing things a way I could under stAnd. And ther was even a bumper issue that was peace by my light .thAt they where so kind to fix at no charge to me.that I now of. I would deffintly recommend to this shop to run boady. And Spexile women this place is onniest and up front they don't try to. Hide any thing and they call u always be four they fix the problem and I like that. I was really pleased with the service I received here. The service technicians were very pleasant and honest. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their car. I felt very comfortable when I called for a quote and when I had my scheduled appointment. This is one of the most honest auto & tire shops around.
