Scott was an amazing server!! We got a bunch of apps and 2 entrees and everything was amazing. Our only critique was we wish the pork belly app was crispier but everything else was on point. Scott was so attentive and answered all of our questions. We will be asking for him again next time we come in! read more

Was in yesterday for brunch with my 2 littles as well as other family.. had been wanting to try this new place for a while , so glad we did We were able to get right in before our reservation even though we were a bit early Love the interior of this place , it's comfy but yet so modern . Some of us got breakfast and some got lunch , all of us loved our meals I got the mushroom melt omelette, delicious! Bloody Mary's were great too and the service was excellent.. took a little bit extra time for the food to come out but rather that than rushed plates that are undesirable ! Definitely will be back .. hoping we can get a date night out to visit there and try the dinner and relax minus the kiddos read more

First class, delicious. Absolutely no complaints. Great atmosphere and fantastic food. Very little wait time once you order it comes out fresh and hot. The wait staff was attentive and we never had to wait for anything. read more

Every time we've gone to Union Straw the food and service has been excellent! We also had an event here and food and service was top notch.

Think this is a great add. My favorite part is the drinks. Have been there for dinner. The white pizza flatbread was excellent. The rigatoni was above average. Brunch was also goo. The French toast was delicious. The hash not so much. This is definitely one of the best dining options in this town. read more

We just had the coconut thai curry soup. Unbelievable.. more later. This place is awesome.

We tried this place last night and will definitely be back! I had the fresh catch Panzanella - the swordfish was delicious and the tomatoes were so fresh. My boyfriend had the hanger steak and loved the bacon jam! The address comes up as 8 Mechanic St but it is actually on Bird St. read more

I have been beyond impressed with how great the food and take out process has been. The food is excellent and has been ready on time every time that we have ordered. This is our new go to restaurant during these crazy times. The portions are huge and the bbq is amazing. Highly recommend supporting this great local business. read more

Absolutely fantastic! My wife and I came for brunch on Super Bowl Sunday and the experience was amazing. The food was out of this world, the service was impeccable and they have a great drink menu. This is a welcome addition to Foxboro, and we will be frequent visitors. read more

Union Straw is a great local restaurant. The food selection is very good and the food is delicious. Since COVID we have only eaten at a restaurant (Union Straw) a couple of times and both times we have had the same server. Amber was excellent! She is very friendly and attentive! She appears to love serving people and is very good at her job! If you have a chance to visit ask for Amber as your server. You will be glad you had great food and drink from a great restaurant and an exceptional server Amber!! read more

My family rented out the back room after my son's first communion. We had such a wonderful experience! The team was amazing before we got there and so accommodating with our group (which ended up having 8 kids!) There was room to spread out and relax. They didn't rush us at all. The food and apps were so good. The chicken and waffles were a huge hit, even this kids got them from the adult menu! The best part was our service from Brendan. He handled our entire party with grace, patience and humor. We felt we were served so quickly and everything was accurate, presented well and very tasty! Thank you Craig, Brendan and Union Straw! read more

Well Foxboro has not only a very nice pub but a wonderful restaurant with union straw recently opening it's doors right in the center of town. My wife and I met our daughter there for dinner Thursday evening ( weekend reservations are suggested) we shared different plates and found the meals delicious. Mollie our waitress was very attentive and friendly and found out that it was our first time dining there she notified Jennifer the chef who took time to come to our table and asked for our experience and answered our questions. We will be heading back with family and friends to hang out with and enjoy time with each other over good food and drinks.foxboro center has a wonderful new restaurant, finally. read more

Needed last minute wings for the Super Bowl and not only were they incredible, they were able to bail me out with almost no notice! Would put their dry rub wings up against anywhere else in the Foxboro, Mansfield, Walpole, North Attleboro area. read more

Went in for first time. We're sat immediately by kind hostess. However she sat us at the far end of the restaurant next to the loud kitchen away from the general public of the restaurant. A server passed us several times not even making eye contact or dropping water. We made several Unsuccessful attempts to flag down the one server that was on that night. We waited for 10 minutes.... nothing. 15 minutes.... nothing. No greeting. No water or bread. Nothing. We ended up walking out without being served and went to whatever the next restaurant up the street was. Miserable experience. I wonder what their food tastes like. read more

There were a few hiccups in our visit but overall the atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. Our food took a long time but it was worth the wait! The fried pickles are to die for. They are less than a year old so it can only go up from here! We will definitely be back read more

So before I start, I must say the staff, ambience and drinks are amazing and while our food experience last night was mixed, it will not prevent me from returning for "another try". So had a bar reservation for 3 and we were promptly seated. Ordered drinks and our waitress was prompt and attentive. I had been to US two weeks ago as I love candied pork belly. Unfortunately, they were out, so of course the first question I asked was if they had the pork belly, this time I was in luck!! So we ordered the Charcuterie Board and it was great... except it came with only two small squares of bread, which is fine, if the board did not have multiple "spreads" which required something to " put them on". Onto dinner, I ordered the pork belly, after looking at the beautiful presentation on line. Nice bite size squares, nicely shiny and candied. When it arrived at the bar, it was a a huge slab of "bacon" hanging from the hook that they normally use to serve the oversized pretzel. It was so unappetizing and did not remotely resemble the lovely pics on line. I was so disappointed. I reluctantly tried to remove the large piece of pork from the hook, but that did not work well. Took a bite, and it had no candied flavor and looked like just a huge piece of fatty pork. So unappetizing and disappointing. My daughter and friend ordered the shrimp and gnocchi, and it had No taste. None!! Looked good but lacked any assemblance of flavor or seasoning. Again, disappointing. So US please, if you showcase a menu item on social media, make sure it is properly and accurately served the same in your restaurant. So while we will be back, I will ask about how the pork belly is served, as I will never order my personal fan favorite food at US if they continue to serve it hanging from a hook. So unappetizing, that it did draw stares from other diners, but not in a favorable way. read more

The design of this place is great . Now for the food it's okay the burnt ends were really dry I drenched them In the BBQ sauce just to be able to eat them . The ribs were decent but I wouldn't get them again . My wife got the burger it was an 8.5 . The set it was very friendly but super slow And it wasn't busy . I would def go back for some Drinks and a burger but not my favorite. read more

I only had lunch here. The food took too long time to come out, almost 45 minutes, but was very good. I'd give it another try for dinner. The dining room was interesting looking and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. read more

Shout outs ya mom for making me these banger chicken and waffles. Yummity yummity in my tummity 10/10 would recommend.

The service and drinks give this place 4 stars. The food brings it to 3. Don't get me wrong, it tastes high quality but the execution sometimes isn't as good as I would expect considering the prices. I have been here about 4 times. The menu is a bit eclectic which I don't mind, I appreciate some of the creative and high end spins. I've had the ricotta gnocchi here and I loved the perfectly prepped fresh and colorful veggies. The gnocchi was not the best I have had, I'm a bit of a gnocchi snob though. We previously had their Mac and cheese when it was an app and loved it, haven't had it since it was made an entree. Truffle fries were good when we came 3 weeks ago but today were a bit more bland and seemed like they came frozen. The fried cheese curds are also rather bland. The dry rub wings again were pretty bland, a couple bites with lots of spice, and overdone and dry. Overall I love the atmosphere, service, drinks, and overall concept of many of the meals but execution is sometimes a bit of a miss read more

Have been looking forward to trying this place but always busy at dinner. Lunch seemed to be a good option. Restaurant was fairly empty but was asked to wait a few minutes for a table, hmm, ok, fine. Menu looked good but our server was less than stellar. We placed an order for an appetizer, a soda for my husband, and our meals. Waited 20 minutes for our appetizer (cheese curds), again, restaurant fairly empty and our server did not have many tables. Had to remind the server to bring hubby's soda and another 5 minutes passed before she kind of flung it down on the table. 50 minutes after ordering we had to ask our server about our meal. She offered to check; nice of her. About 5 minutes was the response. Meanwhile, we see other tables that had been seated after us get served and followed up on by their servers. More than 10 minutes later our food arrives - wrong. We were so hungry by this point we just ate it. It was tasty and not that far off what was ordered but the server should have checked everything before giving it to us and the ridiculous amount of time to get our meals. There was no apology for the delay or the wrong food by our server. She did seem more congenial when we asked for the check and it was coming time for her tip. Husband says he won't go back but I thought the food was very good and with the right server could be a good choice for dinner. read more

This place is more like 1.5 stars from a party of 5. 3 appetizers: Candied Pork Belly: rubbery and not much taste 1 star Boneless Chicken Tender: Dry 1 star Pulled Pork Poutine: Fries were soggy and cold 1 star 5 main courses: Ribeye Steak: Ordered medium rare came more like medium and the duck confit had a stale off taste. 1.5 stars Fish of the moment: Halibut was dry and a bit too salty on a bed noodles, mushrooms, and greens. 2 stars Straw Burger: It's a burger. 2 stars Fig and Prosciutto Flatbread: Its a pizza. 2 stars Fried Chicken and Waffles: 2 stars Server Tom: Mediocre at best 1.5 stars Even though service was mediocre, we still tipped him over 20% This party of 5 would most likely not be a repeat client at this establishment. read more

From the moment you arrive you will see the modest style bungalow building with easy ramp access. Once the doors open you enter a lovely, updated and tastefully decorated bistro/bar and restaurant with a welcoming waiting area, a mix of high and low top tables and beautiful interior color palette with large area to gather with friends, family or co-workers and enjoy libations and apps. The menu offers plenty of choice for all. Chef Dan Lane prepared the most delicious heart-warming vegetarian Caponata Empanada with Bourbon Apple Butter. He also made the scrumptious, melt in your mouth Apple Blossom Tart dessert which we served to our 40 guests who devoured them. Can't say thank you enough to him and the entire Staff, as well as Chef Eric Thomas and General Manager, Steve Pesek who made this event so very special for us. read more

I recently walked in there and asked for a table for two and the two hostesses obviously knew they were all booked up and just looked at each other without saying anything to me. They then said we could wait for a seat to open up at the bar and they'd put my name in. Only asked for my name, not my number, which is beyond frustrating because the waiting space isn't big enough. After waiting for 25 minutes we decided to leave because it was evident that other people were able to go sit at the bar without having a reservation. I hate leaving negative comments but I will gladly take my business elsewhere if the people who are front facing aren't transparent. If you don't have room than just tell us. read more

My family visited for the Brunch on Sunday, 3/27. We were a big party of 9 adults and two children under 2, not an easy group to accomodate. We were given a long beautiful table to fit us all with plenty of room to move about which was a bonus. Amber was our waitress and she was attentive from the get go. She dealt with us coming in at different times, repeating the specials and getting us all our much needed brunch booze. The restaurant is beautiful from the moment you step in with a cozy living room like waiting area which was also a great place to walk the kids when needed. Kudos to Amber for dealing with a large party, a lot of food plus preparing the cake I brought in. Great experience all around! read more

The restaurant looks beautiful, but the only vegan option I could find on the menu was a very plain and basic salad. There was a vegetable dish on the menu but when I asked if it had dairy, the waitress asked the chef and was told yes it does. No offer to accommodate or option to make it without dairy. I was very disappointed. read more

Fried cheese curds were yummy. Pear & goat cheese salad. Looks nothing like the picture on the website. We got a lot of crisp & fresh lettuce but not so much of the pear & almonds & cheese. Good salad, not great. The Rajin Cajun. Not so good. Good heat, not much flavor. Too many soggy vegetables. Mussels & shrimp were ok. Enjoyed the Fat Pilgrim, a turkey burger. Best turkey burger I've had. Turkey was moist & the cranberry mayo was a nice combo. And bacon was delicious. Fries are the skinny ones, and they were nice & crispy. Waitress was very helpful. read more

Delicious meal and yummy drinks outside in the patio! Service was fine, nothing special. Servings are huge and great for sharing. Felt a little pressured to order pretty shortly after sitting down so we got a few apps to share. They were so huge that we ended up splitting an entree. read more

Saturday night at 9:45 p.m. I called to order takeout which was a dessert and wings. The women on the phone stated the restaurant was not doing takeout. On Saturday and Sunday per their post they close at 11 p.m. I was well within the time frame to order. If the restaurant is not going to honor their menu times then it should not be posted as such? If they are going to honor said times then it is up to the owner and manager to educated their staff and follow through. read more
