She asked him if he wanted cheesy bread and a salad and he said no. Bill was $50.12 which included tip. We got 2 small pizzas. I asked about the other items she said "You didn't order anything else.""You weren't charged. I could get it for you" AN APPETIZER IS AN APPETIZER. $50.12 for mediocre food. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Wonderful place! Worth a drive if you're near here. I was on Harstine island and if I'm out there again I'll make the trek (like 30 minutes). Great atmosphere. Quiet. Plenty of seating. Has a full bar. Sandwiches are amazing. Service is slow but they are taking their time to do it right (totally respect someone taking their time to do a good job). Turkey panini was excellent. Rueben was as well. By the caliber of those two sandwiches I can pretty much guarantee the rest of their sandwiches are delicious. They ran out of pickles so that was a bummer. Called and ordered ahead.. it was $48. All I had were hundreds. Firstly when I called the woman who answered sounded so grumpy, like she really hated her job. Second, when we pulled up to the window to pick up our food we got that same cold grumpy energy but now a grumpy face to match. I asked if she could make me a double red Bull w cream but she said well if I do that I won't be able to fit cream in the cup with two red bulls so I can't... couldn't you put less ice?? The woman behind the counter just seemed to really hate her job I swear.. lastly I hand her the hundred dollar bill and she goes I can't take that ugh I won't have any change or small bills for anyone else... I figured since the bill was almost $50 they could just give me a $50?? But no. Had to over draft my bank account because I had to use my debit card. A few recommendations: have your counter person work on their customer service. You should always have a smile on in front of customers even if you're not happy!! And probably keep multiples of bills 1-100 under the till so that you always have change. & The pizza was good but I won't get it again. read more

First visits and very impressed. Even on. Tuesday at 1:00 it was hopping. Friendly staff and decent size for a deli, with couple tables out front under cover. Little confusing whether you go to counter to order or sit down w/table service but was created by a server handing us menus telling us to sit anywhere. Menu had nice options from grilled paninis to ciabatta sandwiches to wraps, salads and pizzas. Was difficult to choose, went knowing they served pizzas but seeing wild salmon specialty sandwich w/pesto on a fresh toasted ciabatta, had to have. Although it was close call when noticing Special sandwich of the day a Cuban on focaccia, oh dear. Choices choices... Hubby had a meaty pizza, small size. There was probably a good 20-30 min. wait but oh was it worth it!! The server put our plates down and hubby and I both were elated, mouth instantly starting to water. We each dove in (after pics of course) and if possible even better than it pleased visually. Wow!!! Can't recall if I've ever had a salmon sandwich before but this takes the cake. It hit every note, the fresh soft yet semi toasted ciabatta bread, the flavorful pesto-mayo that pops and the moist delicate salmon that tasted fresh caught and then the addition of the crisp greens, did I say "wow"? And I can't forget to mention the two sidekicks, a very unique tasty potato salad using red potatoes and had a mild curry flair which was a nice surprise AND a dill pickle spear that tasted homemade, what a delightful combination. Oh yes, and my hubbys pizza, lol. He was afraid it may not be enough to fill him since individual size and didn't have any side salad etc but he was very pleased and satisfied with how the portion filled him. The crust in between a thin and thick, just perfect and cooked to a warm golden like it should. Toppings were ample and enough cheese to give that cheesy goodness. He was craving pizza and this put him on cloud nine. Server came back to refill his soda and check on things. NO complaints. It's not a cheap deli but with this quality so worth 12 bucks for each our meals. Well worth the drive from Lilliwaup ( about 30 mins.). Stayed in the area to relax and stopped by here to get dinner to go- tried a panini and salmon sandwich. Both great serving sizes and delicious! The sides we got- cookie and potato salad, were also fresh. It was packed up nicely for us and both employees were friendly! Good seating area, and the menu had a good range- paninis, sandwiches, calzones, pizza, and breakfast menu. Also had Olympic ice cream and a speciality drink menu (cool options, like s'mores mocha!). We came here last night for the live music and food/drink. The calzone was delicious and my girlfriend liked the chocolate shake. The live music was folk and it was really chill and good music. The place was fairly full and there is the bar lounge area along with another room with the front counter. We came back in the morning for breakfast and the breakfast sandwiches were awesome and really good lattes. This place was clean, good atmosphere, good price, good food, and good music. Oh and get some of the ice cream - you don't want to miss it! PS- This place almost got 5 stars. The only reason it didn't is because they overcharged me and also there wasn't much for table service. read more

The staff here is awesome and it's a nice little place to stop if you're driving up the highway. They have an extensive menu and a bar area. Surprised that the food was not very good. VERY bland. The potato salad definitely needs some salt and the salmon wrap is tasteless. It's supposed to have a pesto sauce. I couldn't even taste pesto at all. Even the salmon inside needed a little pep. Considering how small the town of Union is we were pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful gem. Located just off 106 in a small strip mall by the post office on Dalby Road. Their menu is reasonably priced for the quality of food. Their pizza is amazing and they have a veggie sandwich that's worth a stop in itself. We really like their blended drinks and they're brand of coffee. The only reason it's not a five star is they don't have a list of their drinks posted at their drive-through. read more

If you are looking for small town comfort food - this is the place. They have quite the menu and everything is delicious. Covid has changed a lot of their processes, but they continue to adapt and deliver excellent food and service every time we visit. We're locals and we love that we can order an amazing pizza, get an mouth watering wrap, or just chow down on hot, cheesy bread with marinara when the mood strikes. If you are looking for ice cream on a hot day or just a great cup of coffee to get your day started I highly recommend them. When I moved here in 2009, their pizzas were really outstanding. Unfortunately the quality now is quite a bit lower. The cheese on top is a white gooey mess (maybe not real cheese) and the crusts and ingredients aren't up to their former standards. If you had a photo of a Barge in 2009 and compared it to one you get now, there is no comparison. Also, the same tired menu year after year could really use a change up. Prices are rather high for what you get. Staff is always really nice tho. read more

After spending the morning at Twanoah State Park we headed into Union for lunch. What a wonderful hidden gem! On a rare sunny spring afternoon we opted to sit outside using the cafe tables out front. They even keep a water bowl outside for your 4 legged friends to stretch their legs and enjoy the patio too which our puppy really enjoyed. Service was quick and friendly and both our sandwiches were very tasty! My husband got the hot Philly Cheese Steak thin sliced angus beef, chunky sauteed onions on a toasted caibatta bun with potato salad which he really enjoyed and I went with the Dalby Decker roast beef, ham and turkey with provolone also on a toasted caibatta bun and I loved the mixed greens used in place of traditional boring iceberg lettuce. I highly recommend Union Square Deli - it's the perfect destination for a sunny afternoon drive with a delicious patio lunch in a quaint little town or if you don't have time to stop - they have a drive through! read more

Stopped in early in the morning with my husband to grab some breakfast after leaving Robin Hood Resort. There were two women ready to help us right away! The deli itself is adorable. A very cozy and eclectic atmosphere. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich. My sausage sandwich was prepared super fast and was absolutely delicious. The coffee was also amazing and quickly made! This is such a great find. We ordered the breakfast calzone, a breakfast burrito, 3-egg scramble and a cinnamon roll. I'll say this it did take a little while to get our food but I gladly wait for freshly made, warm out of the oven food. Excellent food & hot drinks- we had the turkey pesto panini & chicken noodle soup, also a dirty chai and a chocolate chip cookie. It was loaded with happy locals and though it was barely 11 we got the last bowl of chicken noodle soup since they sell out when they make it so quickly. We are considered locals even though it's about a 6 mile drive. There is exactly nothing except trees in that 6 miles! The nearest town has lost several good locally owned restaurants and the franchises, are uh, franchises! Five stars for what it is, a local deli catering to locals that like good food at reasonable prices. The menu includes fare for every taste bud. The calzones and pizzas are fantastic. We're buying Property in the area and stopped into this small center to see what was near us. We had lunch at the Deli and were pleasantly surprised how good the food is! Sandwich was delicious, friendly staff. Counter set up is a little awkward and doesn't jive with the rest of the space but we'll be back for the food and service. I got the union sandwich, which sounded a little plain but turned out to be surprisingly delicious, as it was perfectly executed.
