Fueled up, cashier says nobody can use restroom. Didn't bother using their car service after that.

This review is for their service center and the kind gentleman named Wayne. Wayne has helped with fixing several of my tires for years. He has helped when many has turned me away. Earlier this week, my elder parents have trouble with their 2005 Honda Accord. According to the AAA tow guy, it could be the starter. Based on my past experiences with Union Service Centre, I decided to have my parents car towed to this place. Wayne took care of their car right away, replaced their starter, and even had someone pick them up from their home (they live less than a mile away). I dont know if it's their standard practice, but I was certainly surprised that they'd do that for my parent. I think I find my go to place for all car mechanics. SCAM ALERT!!!!!! Came here late one night and saw the cash price for gas was 20 cents cheaper than credit. The cashier was sitting there right when we pulled up and as we walked to the window to pay cash, he walked to the back. We called out for him and waited at the window for about 15 minutes. I even pulled up the phone number listed on Yelp but no answer. We gave up and went across the street to Chevron. There are 3 gas stations at this intersection, all with the same credit price. They used the cheaper cash as a tactic to get customers in, hoping they'd settle for the credit price if they couldn't get someone to the window. read more

I came here because my engine light was on. No other mechanic shops were able to pin point the problem, but I was lucky enough that this mechanic shop was able to find the issue and resolve it. I needed my car for work and informed them about it. They fixed my car on a timely manner with a fair price. They are good at what they do and I would recommend them with a 10/10. read more

I am giving two reviews, one for the mechanic shop and one for the gas station itself. While I normally do all my own work, I needed to grease a new control arm I installed, but didn't have a grease gun. After the install, I drove over to this shop and Wayne was extremely helpful and greased it for me. Very professional, very friendly, and very quick with his service. If I ever need relatable services, I know I can count on Wayne and his shop crew. They deserve and earned the 5 stars for a gas station mechanic shop. Its rare to find good guys like Wayne. The gas station part is average for me, nothing bad but nothing spectacular. The few guys I have seen working the register are never all that friendly but get the job done. To all the airheads complaining about the gas prices not matching the sign - this station (like many) gives a discount when you pay with cash. Once you all get past your illiteracy, you will see the sign shows a cash price and a debit/credit card price. They do this as an incentive for people to pay cash, and for the store to not take on as many debit/credit card fees from the banks/machine. There is a Shell and Chevron all at that same corner - so there are choices when it comes to getting your gas. read more

I dont know how much you can really say about a gas station, but I only go to Union 76's stations so I can't be very biased. The only downfall I would say at this one is that 40% of the time I don't get a receipt and I know I could go inside to get it, but the whole point is for the receipt to be right there for convenience. That would be my main complaint. Other than that, they are usually one of the cheapest on this corner and don't ever have any broken pumps. :) read more

The employee/manager "George" who works there has to be the absolute biggest and rudest person you will ever encounter. Saw him chastising an older woman inside because her credit card didn't work in the pump and he had to enter it by hand. He had asked "How much!?" and she replied "Do you mean gallons or dollars?" He then tilted his head back, sighed and shouted again"How much!?". She said she wasn't sure how much her car would take and he still had no patience with her. Just a real twerp. I would find somewhere else to fuel up based solely on George and his poor attitude. He must be an owner, not sure why anyone would employ someone like him. If you do have to fuel there ,wear your explosive protective gear when filling, George prefers to smoke just outside the store there about 8 feet from the pumps. You can't miss him, he'll be the tall angry guy smoking and wearing his ambervision glasses. read more

One quirk of mine is that I like to have multiple cars available to drive, the right car for the right occasion. I also like to keep my cars in top condition and Wayne, manager at this Union 76, has kept my cars running smoothly for years. Even though his current location in Fullerton is quite a drive for me, I still come here for all my car repairs that are more than just routine maintenance. Wayne is a straight shooter. He tells you exactly what is wrong and never tries to sell you anything you don't need. On top of that the prices here at this Union 76 are great. Recently, my Honda had an oil leak. One national chain quoted me over $800 to fix; Wayne got it done for less than $300. That is why I keep coming back. Next time? I don't think I've ever got gas here before. read more

I am only speaking on the auto service attached to this gas station. First of all, my car has been denied by so many mechanics because they aren't comfortable working with an older classic car, but I decided to check out this small service center because why not....and let me say, I wish I could've had these guys fix my car all these years!! Wayne and Ben are extremely helpful and transparent throughout the whole process. They asked me a lot of questions and decided to just take a look into my car first before confirming they could fix it to give me peace of mind. They are amazing!! I've had my car worked on by two mechanics before who butchered the car and never fixed the problems and they had my car for weeks at a time. The problems I needed fixed, Ben and Wayne fixed within 24 hours and at an affordable cost. My piece of advice, if you have an older model car that you need to upkeep regularly to keep in good shape, I'd highly recommend these guys. They are so knowledgeable, transparent about what needs to be done, transparent about pricing, and overall are honest and genuinely want to help fix your car. Even if you need minor fixes or are just concerned about something with your car, go to these guys and just ask for help! They are always willing to help! read more

Long story short, shady business tactics. I usually go to this intersection because the gas prices tend to be lower. It's because three of the four corners are gas stations, so there is a bit of a price war going on. I should have known something was up when the prices at this station were significantly lower (by .05). Turns out they charged $1.00 for using a debit/credit card. Just to be clear, I'm fine with that if the station told me because I would just go somewhere else. No signs anywhere saying this. Never going here again. read more

This review is strictly to help anyone who happens to accidentally pull out with the gas nozzle still in your car and to expose the owner for trying to "shake me down" for cash when his own insurance covers it as well. PLEASE READ!! First off just call your insurance! Do not pay BEN or anyone else who calls you from the place. Just call your insurance! They will take care of it and if you have any property damage coverage you will NOT pay anything out of the pocket. Now to get to the details of this station trying pay cash when they know damn well it's going to be taken care of. Trying to take advantage of someone who in most cases is already shaken up being involved in an expensive accident. Shame on them. Unfortunately for them in this case they're dealing with someone who was a little too smart and savy to pay him cash. A day after the incident "Ben" calls me and was very friendly and helpful sounding and assured me we will figure something out together to take care of it. Then he gets to the part where he told me how much it was going to be and I could just lay him cash. $490. Which happens to be only $10 lower than your average deductible. So most people would think it's be better just to pay the owner cash instead of your insurance going higher. Sounded fishy from the beginning so I started doing my research and not only was than most of the cases.. much higher.. his business is going to take care of it and so will your insurance. So that cash would've been collected and pocketed. Indont know about anyone else but when you are a veteran and work 6 days a week and have a 10 year old kid and you just flew your mom in from Europe after a family death, you don't have $490 to cough up. My insurance is taking care of it and asking for nothing out of my pocket. So I hope this helps anyone in this situation and you do your research and contact your insurance company before paying the owner any cash. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT pay anyone cash!! And if you're about get work done at the service shop or get some gas from here... Just know what kind of owner you are giving your business and money to. Two days ago my car just wouldn't start. I called AAA and they came but could not figure out the problem. AAA towed me to 76 Car Care. I agreed to the $119 diagnostic charge. Yesterday I called and they said they were not sure what was wrong. I called back later in the day and they said it was a loose cable and would cost $60 to repair. This morning I went there to pick it up. The total should have been $179 minus my AAA 10% discount = $161.10. The cashier said the total was $183.. I pointed out that I get a 10% discount.. he said it was already applied??? They charged me more than the quoted price. For over 50 plus years my fauther was one of Northrop Grumman's top engineers designing aircrafts and engines. He can take a airplane and car engine apart and put it back together as I've seen him do so many times in my life. However even the best need a second pair of eyes to help troubleshoot things which is where Wayne comes into part. He is the only mechanic that my dad trusts and it's for good reason because he is thorough, does good work and as my dad says "reasonably priced". It may take time to have your issue fixed considering he is a popular guy working out of a small shop but if you are like me and my dad who don't mess around with this kind of stuff, it is worth his good work. Now that my father is older he doesn't work on our cars as much as he did before, we now just take them to Wayne. Despite him knowing my farther, wayne doesn't know who I am and I have never felt that he has talked down to me or tried rip me off. He's spoken to me with respect and honesty which is a great deal for women who have had to take their cars into any repair shop. He is currently working on my car right now. I can't really say enough amazing things about this auto repair place. I am a young female from South Carolina and soon as I came out to california I started to have car problems. Ben who owns both 76 and the Repair shop is a life savor. He really took care of me and helped me. because of him I'm still driving the same car 4 years later with over 200,000 miles on it. Not once mentioned a storage fee on four seperate conversations with them now having to pay $220. For a clutch and fly wheel repair they priced nearly $800 more for a lesser job than at Brad's Valero. Overall a very bad experience especially for being AAA approved. read more

It is so refreshing to find a gas station that does not insist on making the fueling experience annoying. No Loud Radio with horrible music. No Television with loud pushy commercials. Best of all, the same price for Cash or Credit. In addition to all that, they still have a mechanic an sell Propane. This station is a little out of my way, though for the convenience of being able to wash my windows without trying to hide from the horrible noise being generated by most stations, I will drive a little out of my way. Overpriced average service. I'd rather take my car to the dealer for the same cost. Bad customer service. No courtesy call back service. I waited all day for their phone call, I called them in the afternoon to know the car was ready since the morning. Furthermore, they spend too much time on the phone and keep you standing there waiting for their attention. Always double check invoice before paying. read more
