Arcade Entrance

This place was clean with a bright (but not surgically-brightly lit) environment. Our server was accommodating and pleasant, and the food was excellent. Portion sizes and prices were also great. There's an arcade with a bunch of pinball machines, and our group had a great time, and my family would love to return.

5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here. Skip to the end to see my rating scale. This place is literally an hour drive from my house and I'll definitely be trying to convince my wife to go back. The three things I look for in a brewery are food availability, a dog-friendly outdoor area, and (of course) good beer. Union Brothers hits the mark on all three. They have a spacious fenced-in side yard complete with a couple of outdoor bars and a stage for live music. Several pooches were enjoying the afternoon along with ours. They sport a couple of spacious dining rooms and a menu with a nice selection of stuff - kind of like a mix of BBQ and bar food. We gobbled up a few appetizers on our visit that were really tasty and the sandwiches looked really good too. The staff were all helpful and friendly without being up in your face - exactly the kind of service I appreciate. The was just one bartender on duty, but when it looked like anyone was waiting a little too long a couple of guys jumped in to help keep the beer flowing. Lastly the beer...good menu with a couple of good hazies, some ciders, some ambers, and a solid stout made the drinks enjoyable. I wasn't crazy about having to make two trips to carry out the flight glasses, but the quality of the brews made that inconvenience pretty easy to overlook. We'll be back when the weather warms back up, but will have to find an Air BnB or something close by so we can enjoy one or two more beers and hopefully some live music. I'd really like to be able to spend more time here! My rating scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

Have been hearing good things about this place! It does not disappoint! There is plenty of parking! So no concerns of walking a distance to check out this place! It is a beer lovers haven. I am not a beer drinker but I can tell you everyone I was with enjoyed the selections. Check out the pic posted of the beers. Being a brewery they have some really good selections of food! The fries were amazing! The onion rings are plentiful! It is a side with a sandwich but enough to share also. The club sandwich was great with plenty of turkey that was perfect! The decor will keep you interested as you walk around admiring some very creative drawings! Some of the. Are for sale too! There is a game room with pinball machines too!

Best kept secret in Harmony is Union Brothers Brewing! We went on a recommendation and they didn't disappoint. Besides 20+ beers, they serve cocktails and wine. We got fried cheese as an appetizer and it was delicious, twice the size of any cheese sticks we've had before. Good crunchy beading. For dinner I got the Devil's Advocate burger. Deviled eggs with Sriracha on a burger was sinfully delicious. My husband got the Firecracker burger and it had some heat. The bar atmosphere is friendly and there's different music on the Fridays we were there. Jonah and Olivia, the bartenders, were quick to serve and recommend. At other times we've had the giant fish sandwich and saw a bunch of Caesar's salads come out of the kitchen. Not fussy, but friendly and good food.

Thursday night wing nights are the BEST! Such a great deal, good quality & plenty to chose from. Order in quantities of 6, can mix and match flavors. Coolest vibe inside, and outdoors if even better when weather is good! Always love our servers & the owner is great as well!

Union Brothers Brewery really hits the sweet spot -- great food, great drinks, and a space that works whether you're out with friends or bringing the family. The beer list is solid with a nice variety of options (something for both hop lovers and those who prefer lighter pours), and the food goes way beyond standard bar fare. One of the best parts is the outdoor area -- super laid-back, plenty of space, and genuinely kid-friendly without feeling chaotic. It's one of those places where everyone can relax and enjoy themselves. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a brewery that balances quality and comfort. We'll be back for sure.

Yesterday there were about fifteen of us doing a group motorcycle ride. We stopped here for lunch and sat outside. The place was pretty busy inside and out (There was a Steelers game on the televisions inside). Towards the end of our meal, there was a couple performing some live music on the outdoor stage. I thought the service was very good. Our server, Hope, took care of us in an efficient and timely manner. I ordered the fish Tacos, and a small pour of "How to embrace a Swamp Creature." There wasn't much of a description on the menu for this beer except "IPA - Imperial - 8.5%". What I received was a Hazy IPA, which I'm not sure if an Imperial can be classified as a hazy, but usually Imperials are a little darker. This beer was pretty yellowish. So maybe it's just me, but not sure I received the correct beer, or maybe I did and that's just how they are here, anyways, the beer was O.K. My fish tacos were a bit on the unusual side. First of all, they did not come with a side, so I also had to order a side of fries, because I was pretty hungry. For $2 MORE, I should have just ordered the fish sandwich, which came with fries and was so much bigger and looked more filling. The fish tacos were O.K., but left me hungry, the portion was a bit small for me even with adding the additional side of fries. Also, the honeydew served on the tacos was interesting. That's probably the first time I ever had that kind of fruit on fish tacos. Overall, I thought this was a cool place, and I would certainly come back. I am pretty sure that most of the people in our group enjoyed it also . . . Cheers!

Fish sandwich. Fries. Coleslaw. Tartar sauce.

Very nice restaurant. Huge outdoor seating area. Great beers, great food, great service. Went with the fish sandwich. Huge piece of fried fish with lettuce and tomato. Very tasty, however, bottom bun was pretty soggy by the time it arrived and not nearly enough tartar sauce for the entire thing. Fries and coleslaw were good. Pretty standard. The beers were amazing. Tried one of their IPAs and a lager. Overall, had a great time. Will be back. 4 stars strictly due to the sad wet bottom bun.

Had the grilled cheese and loved it. Fancier food than you would expect. The sour ales were some of the best I've ever tasted.

We go to Recon which is located in the Meeder community. Free parking. Big field outside for kids to run. Phones got charged and I got a green beer. Four of us adults went and there were enough varietals that we each got something different. TVs had sports on and a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating was fully open and though my photos don't show it, people were there throughout the afternoon. I enjoyed it and would return. We've been up to the Butler location, but it's been a while and are glad to have one a bit closer.

On a Wednesday evening in July, my fiance and I found ourselves in the Cranberry area. We found…read morethis place and decided to give it a try, as we had never been before. It is also a non-chain establishment, which is a plus in this area. Recon Brewing is located within the Meeder neighborhood of Cranberry. It almost feels like you are in the wrong spot when initially entering, but eventually you stumble upon the "town square" area with a big lawn, several storefronts, and lots of sidewalks, which make it very easy to walk to. Since this is quite literally in the middle of a neighborhood, there is not a dedicated parking lot. However, there are spaces on the street around the entire area where all of the storefronts are. We had no issue finding a spot on this particular night, but I could see it being slightly more challenging if there is a big crowd eating here. We arrived here a little after 7:30, and it was not busy. Our dog was with us, so we opted for seats on the patio. The wait staff came to greet us right away, and were attentive to us throughout the entire evening. Since this is a brewery, we started off with a few beers. I had To Live & Rye, which is a red/amber rye. I appreciated this as an option, as a lot of places do not carry reds or red-adjacents, especially on tap. I enjoyed it, and it was a great sipper throughout the evening. My fiance ordered the Sour Series - Plum. He thought it was okay, but could have been more sour. Since they brew a lot of their own selections, these seem to rotate and switch out pretty frequently, which is a good way to be able to try lots of different brews. For an appetizer, we split the Cheese Curds. The portion, for the price, is okay. They were tasty, and I liked how you could choose whatever dipping sauce you wanted. We chose ranch, and thought it paired well with the curds. We both ordered 10" Personal Size Pizzas for our entrees, which are cut into 6 pieces. I opted for the Hot Honey, which was more of a white-style pizza with chicken on top and drizzled generously with hot honey. My fiance ordered the Peppers & Sausage, which had red pepper, banana pepper, and chunky pieces of sausage. Both had nice flavors, but we were not particularly wow-ed by either pie. The portion was solid for a personal serving, but if there are multiple people in your party, I would order multiple pizzas. Our total bill came out to be just under $50. I do not think this is unreasonable given that we got 2 beers, an appetizer, and two entrees. I think that in terms of overall value, this is very standard compared to similar restaurants and breweries. I loved the ambiance of Recon! If we lived closer to Cranberry, I could see myself coming here weekly, especially when the weather is warm. The patio lights make it such a cozy and warm atmosphere at night. It was not operating during our visit, but there was also a fire pit. There was a ton of seating here overall - both indoors and out. This would be a great spot to meet a large group of people, or just for a night out for two. There is even bar seating on the interior. I can see this being a great spot for the neighborhood to walk to and enjoy often. In terms of activity, there seems to be a lot going on at Recon. Though not anything specifically during our visit, there was a chalkboard advertising their regular events - DJ Trivia every Tuesday, Karaoke every other Thursday, as well as special events - a Comedy Show, Patio Party with music and vendors, and DJ Bingo. I would love to return for an event in the future! Lastly, I love how nice they were to our dog. He got a giant bowl of water with ice in it! The staff and patrons were friendly and welcoming to both us and him, which is a big plus when we bring him along on outings. There was even a donation box inside benefiting the Butler County Humane Society, so I know the treatment of my dog was not an off-chance occurrence. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit to Recon Brewing at Meeder! This truly is the perfect spot to be able to walk to and socialize with neighbors, grab dinner or a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance that they provide. Plus, there are plenty of events and fun activities that seem to be happening regularly to keep patrons coming back. The staff were all kind, and we enjoyed our food and drinks. I look forward to another chance to be able to enjoy Recon, hopefully partaking in one of their many events.

Crab Cakes 8/10 They were good, but a little dry. I'm pretty sure it was real crab meat. They do not come with any sauce or Remoulade or anything on the side, but they definitely need something. Cheese Sticks 10/10 Good breading, fry, and nicely melted cheese. Buffalo Chicken Pizza 8/10 I was surprised to see it was like a chicken dip on top of the dough. It's very difficult to eat when it first comes out, and the chicken mixture just falls off the dough. Dough was cooked well though, and had a good crust. As a whole, it was decent, but it needed something, I just can't think of what. West End Quesadilla 8/10 This quesadilla was ok, but probably wouldn't order again. The tomato juices were all over the bottom of the plate making the tortilla super soggy, and I would prefer if the tomatoes were inside, along with a little more cheese inside as well because it just kept falling apart. It needed something to bind everything together.
