Took my 2016 Honda Pilot in for its free oil change; once they were done I hopped on the freeway and headed home. When I came to my exit I pressed on the brake pedal and immediately felt a strange vibration; needless to say I immediately returned to the dealership and advised the service department of my problem. The service person insisted that the vehicle was like that when I turned it in and inferred that I was making the story up. Rather than cause a scene; I have 22 years experience as a United States Marine; I simply left the dealership and went to Honda of the Desert in Cathedral City. They actually came out and looked at the vehicle, paying attention to the front brakes and rotors, and after viewing the vehicle, offered to do a free inspection and possible free repair, based on their findings. Unicar Honda, at the very least should have taken the vehicle back in and examined it for any malfunctions, which they didn't. The individual of questionable parentage instead insisted that the problem was there prior to my bringing it in. Service personnel with this attitude should be kept out of the public view and allowed to clean the restrooms; and even that should be done under close supervision. If you are considering purchasing or leasing a Honda vehicle I strongly suggest you look farther up valley to Honda of the Desert; and if your vehicle needs any type of service please, please consider taking it to a dealership that appreciates your business and doesn't insult you. As I mentioned before I spent 22 years in the United States Marine Corps; shedding my blood on foreign soil; and I WILL NOT let some service writing idiot question my honesty. There are other dealerships that will be more than happy to assist me and correct whatever problems other dealerships may or may not have caused to my vehicle; with only 35,808 miles on the vehicle, and still under warranty, I seriously doubt I had anything to do with this malfunction..... read more

Unicars Honda left us with a distasteful reaction after departing (without a deal) for a new Honda Fit. Firstly, the test drive and overall accommodation was cordial and informative. We appreciated the convenience in the test drive and quick service. Then, we wanted to put numbers together at which point it all goes downhill. I get it. Aim high, but I just don't expect to be lied to. MSRP is not something you're losing money on Justin, that's poor wordsmithing at best, dishonest games at worst. What they failed to realize is we would have paid cash if we got the Costco price ($800 less than msrp-not much to ask) and no trade, if we felt they were fair and we were getting a good deal. Guess they just didn't want to deal?!? I think they don't get many cash buyers, so they feel they have to pitch from the outfield. I'd expect a bit of haggling, but a lie out of the gate infuriated me. Next was a ballpark pitch on trade in value, for vehicles we research prior to arriving. Granted, the vehicles weren't physically with us, but that shouldn't matter. They offer $2500 on a vehicle range of $6-7,000 KBB trade in, that's not private sale pricing Justin. Never again, Unicars Honda. We plan on purchasing from Jose and Honda of the Desert, who offered a fair deal and reasonable trade in. read more

Not sure if the negative reviews are warranted or not...? My recent experience was great!! Went there because It was close and I had spoken with the service a couple of times but did not have the time to leave the vehicle for repairs.. So when the maintenance codes came on along with the 10% oil life I changed the oil myself and took it in for 3 codes and to fix my running lights! I HAD NO APPT. TIME but the service guys were "On It" and said they would SHUTTLE ME "Both Ways" , But it would only be a few hours! Later they called to discuss the one weird thing about the running light repair and I approved it to be done! Within about an hour they called and said they were done and "did I need a ride back...?" 30 minutes later the shuttle was at my gate. Arriving back at the dealership, I sat down, had all the paperwork explained to me, paid a very reasonable price and off I went!! FYI - $110 per hr. labor rate, but they also have package rates for maintenance code items! $130 ea. for Trans. and Rear Diff. fluid flush and replacemt. $25 for tire rotation, $39 for oil & filter replacemt. =) read more

If I could give no stars I would. I bought a 2016 Honda Accord and was told two months later that financing didn't go through. After some childish tactics on the part of their new finance manager we agreed on them taking the car back and returning my down payment. Two days after returning my down payment they stopped funds on the check. I was told that the car didn't come back in new condition. I had the car for two months and drove 3500 miles, of course it was no longer in new condition. After having to deal with a pompous sales manager named Jeff I was told that I would receive a check for my down payment minus what they felt the damages were. I have since called seven times, each time being told that they would call me right back. They never have. Just now I called and was hung up on them called back to be told that Jeff had punched out. These guys are a joke and should be fired. This dealership should be shut down. The salespeople perpetuate fraud to get deals done and the sales managers act like children. Jeff is the worst of all. I wouldn't hire home to clean my toilets. read more

After an exhausting search for the right car (CR-V Hybrid), color and options, etc., we were pleased to find the car locally at Unicars Honda (and Honda of the Desert). Due to the pandemic, I attempted to inquire and negotiate with the dealership's (non-existent) internet sales team. But finally opted to visit them in person. There the "sales manager" explained that their concentration was more with "80% foot traffic & repeat customers and less than 20% is internet sales". Ok, whatever. I was able to successfully negotiate a car (via internet and phone) with Honda of Riverside, but we really wanted to stay local. After expressing this to the manager, we'd hoped that he would consider beating or at least matching the (Riverside Honda) offer. I was told they "could not get even get close, and I should take the deal being offered in Riverside". So, we did! Although we really wanted to keep our business local, It was well worth the hour drive. There it was literally the easiest car purchase I have ever experienced thanks to Jimmy Chang. GO TO RIVERSIDE FOR YOUR NEXT HONDA!!! read more

I honestly cannot thank Mike and Robert from this dealership enough -- they truly saved the day for me! From the moment I walked in, Mike Smith at the service desk went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with care and efficiency. Unlike other dealership service centers I've been to, he was kind, attentive, and genuinely wanted to help. The whole process was fast, smooth, and stress-free thanks to him. Seriously his service was 11/10! The mechanic who worked on my car was Robert and he was equally incredible. His attention to detail was second to none, and after finishing the repairs, he took the time to thoroughly walk me through everything he had done. I can't stress enough how much I appreciated not only his expertise but also his kindness! This place exceeded all of my expectations. I can't say it enough -- they are amazing! If you're looking for outstanding service, people who truly care, and a team that goes the extra mile, you will find it here with the amazing people! read more

I don't no why everyone is writing these horrible reviews, I have nothing but great things to say about this dealership. I have leased 3 cars from this dealership. I leased a 14 Honda Civic for my girlfriend in December 2014 the salesman I dealt with was Marcos. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I received a great deal on that car. So I came back in July 2015 and leased a 15 Accord Coupe for myself. A couple weeks ago someone hit my girlfriend's car and totaled it. So we came back and we where helped by Marcos again. He was able to get us into a new Honda CR-V with all the cool features the Civic had plus much more. The sales manager was Jazz. Both Marcos and Jazz where very helpful and very understanding with the situation my girlfriend and I where in. They did not hesitate to help. We are very thankful and will definitely recommend this dealership to our family and friends. read more

I walk in ready to battle for what I am looking for. Not the case here at All! They worked a deal to get me EXACTLY what I wanted, no regrets or compromises made today on what I came to do. These staff members have integrity, honesty, and quality service. Customer satisfaction was made apparent from the moment I spoke with my saleswoman. Her personality and charisma were refreshing and made a situation that is typically grueling, a super pleasant one. We found the right car, at the right price and I couldn't be happier. This dealership is different than any other one I've ever been to or purchased at. There was no pressure at all. It was straightforward and about making me happy and getting me out the door with the car I came to get for the monthly payment I had to work with. These staff members go above and beyond for their customers and provide superb customer care. read more

Probably the best car buying experience I have ever had!! I hate the car buying process and usually have to deal with nasty, rude, lying men. I had contacted The Internet manager Stephanie Unruh who not only responded quickly with a phone call back, but also beat the other surrounding dealerships (Honda of the dessert) with a great price on the Accord that I was searching for. I went in the following day only to be greeted by a smile and my car was waiting for me outside! I felt like I was VIP!After making sure this was the car I would be purchasing Stephanie sat me down in her office and There was no hassle very forward numbers. I was in and out of the dealership with in an Hour! By far the best experience I have ever had buying a car. Will not only refer people to Stephanie but will be sending my 16 yr old soon in soon to purchase his civic! Great dealership! read more

I absolutely loved my experience with Unicars Honda on the purchase of my 2019 Honda Civic! I've made quite a few vehicle purchase's in my lifetime and this was one of the best I've ever had. I have to say my experience with Norman and Elvira were as good as it gets. Elvira was able to get what I was looking for on my trade-in and also was able to get the purchase price on the Civic EX down to where it was less than I expected to get. She was also able to get me my EX with tinted windows and wheel locks for no extra cost! Mark was also awesome because he gave me the "Auto Butler" paint protection at no cost after I purchased the extended warranty protection. Plus....the free oil changes while I own the vehicle is just "icing on the cake". I'm a fan for life! Thanks guys! I'm already getting the word around at work. btw....Honda's rule! read more

I've had a lot of bad experiences at dealerships. So, I'm always a bit on guard and ready to get defensive. However, my advisor Jason, was the best I'd ever experienced at a Honda Dealer. He was knowledgeable, practical and he listened to my concerns and addressed them. I had my dog with me and he just loved her and was caring as to ask if my dog needed any water and gave her a treat. I noticed he seemed to be more put together and organized then the others and was even answering a lot questions from coworkers that seemed to me they should have known. I observed him walking back and forth helping customers and even picking up trash whereas everyone else just ignored. I hope this dealership appreciates this employee, it's been a long while since I've experienced this. I hope everyone who makes an appt here, asks for Jason. read more

I live locally and I stopped by to look at a New Honda Accord. I have a 2006 with a ton of miles so I figured it may be time. I read the reviews and was expecting the worst. I went in and was immediately greeted by one of the Managers Rob. He was extremely accommodating. Told him what I wanted and he had one of his sales people pull the Accord right up. He introduced me to his sales person Justin (I believe that's what his name was). He asked me if I wanted something to drink and brought it right to me. The process was seamless. I spoke to Rob about past experiences and he explained that there is a new Management team in place and boy does it show. No problems, no back and forth and thankfully no "sales tactics". It truly was a breathe of fresh air. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. read more

if you ever listen to a review then listen up. whatever you do no matter where else you have drive to...... dont go to unicars honda in indio i was ripped off lied to and then treated with disrepect after the sale. this dealership is the most unethical and dishonest i have ever seen in any bisness. the manager and finance manager should be in prision !! note to all !!! warning !!! this place is commiting leagel fraud against the costomers for profit. i have been sick tomy stomache the thought of how much money they over charged me is mind blowing. they have the nerve to smile and act like nothing ever happened when you were over charged under warrentied and stripped off all extras you get anywhere else at any honda dealership no matter what that that rude managerrick says. read more

I always do my research before entering any dealership. We buy cars every 3 years and I almost was overlooked Unicars after reading the reviews, but I decided to make my own decision. I have to say this website is misleading! Is there a Yelp for this website??? I was in and out of this dealership within an hour I reviewed my contract and...Nope I didn't get screwed. I left with a smile and I love my Accord Sport. The managers were very polite, Stephanie the internet manager was very helpful she even went out of her way to entertain or two very young children. They are still talking about her! BUYERS BEWARE!!! These people are a business and they treat you right because they care! OH NO!! they don't give cars away but they work with you. Very happy with Unicars! read more

I don't want my past negative experiences reflect. On my latest visit 7/31/19 14:10 Raul Gonz. was literally the opposite of everysingle sales advisor I've encountered. I was mentally preparing myself to be treated like a second class citizen like I have before but he was the BEST! We talked about getting glitter on future rims and having Honda tires on them, and how I needed to get a 2 and a 3 because my car needs that to run properly but MOST of all he treated me like a human. He treated me like I was person never rolled his eyes, talked to other sales people while checking me in, didn't assume I could afford the service. He checked in on me informing me on the wait time. He is just the flipping best! the sales team is an entire different story. read more

I'd like to give special props to your Service Writer Benjamin and the Service Assistant Manager (I don't have his name). I scheduled an appointment a week earlier when my car was at 99,727 miles to have my A/C replaced under warranty. A week later I came in for my appointment and my car was at 100,024 miles, so I was told my car was out of warranty. That should have never happened. I should have been notified in advance to not go over the 100K-mies mark. Benjamin agreed with me and went to his Assistnt Manager to work out a deal. Even though I had to pay a little more than if covered under warranty, Benjaming did the right thing to go to bat for me and saved me a lot of money. Thank you Benjamin! His customer service is what will bring me back! read more

It is very rare when a company will admit that they made a mistake, but KUDOS to Unicars Honda and its owner, Andreas Mozoras, for doing just that. Mr. Mozoras brought us into his office and graciously explained the mistakes that were made by some of his employees, and set things to right. We very much appreciate his willingness to end this amicably and we highly recommend his dealership. It is important to mention, that due to a misrepresentation by one of the former employees at Unicars, that I mistakenly thought Alex Mozoras was negatively involved. She was not. Thank you again Mr. Mozoras for your hospitality, your humility, and your commendable service. We look forward to many years of doing business with Unicars Honda. read more

I had my service done in Unicars Honda ever since Marcos Hernandez transferred from Honda of the Desert in Cathedral City. Marcos amused me and my family with his professionalism and charisma. He attends to his clients right away without hesitation and explains the situation of your car in full details. We feel so at home in Unicars Honda when we found out that Marcos Hernandez was there. We will recommend Unicars Honda to our relatives and friends because we are confident that we will be treated fairly and our vehicle will be at it's best performance because it will be handled with tender loving care by Marcos. Congrats Marcos on your next promotions. We know that you deserve it. Keep it up! Royce B. read more
