First time and had an enjoyable beverage. Customer service very helpful for a first timer. Peach lychee green tea bubble less sugar and a pineapple passion fruit with blueberry bubble. Both drinks delicious. I was looking for a pick me up and didn't want coffee so late in the evening. This was perfect. Slightly pricey but I'd pop in again. Free Street parking.

Cute small boba and smoothie place. Employees are so friendly and quick with the orders. They have games so you can feel free to hang. They also have small section of unique snacks, candy and other stuff. We picked up a cute little sippy cup. They have kids tables and a cute wall mural and a bench in front so you can take your selfies comfortably.

We were in La Grange to pick up some food and found that Uni Uni also had a location here. I didn't realize they were a chain when I visited my first location in Milwaukee. Given the quality of the drink at the other location, I made it a priority to drop by here as well. Ancient Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Tapioca, 50% Sugar, Regular Ice ($6.75) - Still not sure what ancient brown sugar is, but I found this drink to be delicious. Great complex caramelized sugar flavor with fragrant tea undertones. The sweetness is perhaps a bit too much for me at half, but it isn't unpalatably sweet. I opted to get full ice, and with the previous Uni Uni location, they only add just enough to have the drink cool down and not a cube more. After a couple of minutes, all of the ice is melted and gone. The boba here is pretty much perfect. Chewy and bouncy throughout with an interior core that's only a slight bit firmer than the exterior. The exterior has a thin layer on the order of micrometers that sloughs off when pressed against the tongue. Each pearl is uniform and consistent in chew. Milk Tea Rating: (5/5) Boba Rating: (5/5) The Uni Uni location in La Grange serves some of the best boba I've had in recent memory, out of the hundreds of boba shops I've visited. I highly recommend a visit if you're looking for a great drink. Note: There is a service fee for using the kiosk. Bathrooms - Two individual unisex rooms through the door across from the order counter.

I was pleased to find a boba tea place in downtown LaGrange. You have the option of ordering from the two kiosks or from the counter. They have a sufficient number of places to sit. You have a lot of choices for drinks like milk tea, fruit tea, smoothies, etc. They also offer snacks, which we didn't get. The snack menu is more on the limited side. I think they have ube flan in the display case. They don't have the snacks featured on the official website. The staff was friendly. I ordered lychee peach jasmine green tea with lychee and mango jelly. 50% sugar and light ice. The drink was perfect. It was not too sweet and the jelly was chewy. I do wish that they would bring in snacks like the Taiwanese popcorn chicken or Taiwanese sausage to this location. You can easily find parking nearby.

The cutest little bubble tea shop I've seen! The decorations on the walls are adorable and there are a few tables inside with board games so you can bring a date or a friend out for some bubble tea and hang out. The staff was very nice, we ordered on the kiosk but the person making the tea was friendly when she gave us the drink. I think I got the Strawberry Fresh Milk with Vanilla Pudding (I can't remember now) which I would rate a 10/10. Definitely fresh! not powdered.

Finally another boba tea place I enjoy that has opened up close to home! A cute whimsical atmosphere is what I feel when I walk in. It is their soft opening right now and they are offering 10% off purchase but only have half of their menu available. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed to order and if I had any questions they had the answer. We came in during a little rush and they handled it very well. All the drinks we had were made With love and all tasted delicious. The grand opening is December 16! Bring your friends, family, everyone! Uni uni is a must try!

Love finding good boba in the area! Both of these mango drinks satisfied my craving. The mango fresh milk (left) was a little sweet, but otherwise it was the perfect sweet treat.

Finally an Uni Uni closer to home! Don't have to battle the chaos of going to Chinatown to get some fun drinks. It's their soft opening week and I'm sure some kinks need to be worked out still, but that comes with a new business. Limited menu at the moment, but 10% off orders for their soft opening. Also if ya leave a review on Yelp/Google you get a free gift! The employees did their best in the midst of a crowd. I ordered the rose lemon Yakult with lychee jelly. It was sweet, floral, and refreshing! In the corner close to the entrance is an area for board games for some fun. The unicorns and rainbows add a whimsical atmosphere. Great place for friends and family to enjoy.

Such a cute new boba place in La Grange! We ordered two brown sugar milk teas and they were delicious. I especially loved the texture of the tapioca. The staff was welcoming and our order was ready so quickly! They also provide a stamp card/reward program that gives you one free drink after 10 drink purchases. I can't wait to visit again soon!

A good go to bubble tea place. We got the hot Yulu oolong milk tea. It was really delicious and perfect for a crisp cold day. At first, it was lukewarm so we did have to go back and tell them to make it hotter. But service was very understanding and apologetic. They were also very fast as well. They have tons of games to play with while you enjoy your boba, such as uno, connect four, and Jenga. It's a great spot to meet up with your friends and enjoy yummy drinks!

(Dad is baffled by how amazing the boba is)

With an easy to remember name, Chicago Dumpling in a suburb of Chicago, serves up a variety of…read moreJapanese and Chinese inspired foods, in a fast food type set-up in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Before dropping us off at the airport, my wife's aunt treated us (my wife, her mom, and me) to lunch. I got to choose the place, and the experience ended up being really great. Even though it looks like you are supposed to stand in line to order and pay, the restaurant also supports a typical dine-in experience. It's an open kitchen, with seating on the side. Once we were seated, we were given menus and a tablet to place our order, but our server stayed around to explain that she would be back to help us place the order. She was the only front of house working, and she was friendly and efficient, constantly going back and forth to service to-go order taking and dine-in. The one page menu has two parts: a Chinese part and a Japanese part, and had items that we call could eat. Once we placed our order, the items came out in the following order, after being made to order. Karaage ($6.95) - five pieces of all white meat chicken, freshly deep fried. Everyone liked it, though I wish the coating was crispier. Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.95) - My wife's aunt and I got this. We both agreed the broth should have been served a lot hotter, but it was flavorful. I was especially impressed with the Chashu pork, two thin but generous pieces, nicely crisped first before serving. Edamame ($6.50) - my wife's go-to when at a Japanese restaurant. Chicken Shoyu Ramen ($15.95) - Got one for my wife's mom, and then ordered another for carry-out. One has the choice of thick noodles (classic ramen), or thin, or rice noodles. Pork and Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao ($13.99 for 12 pieces) - one can ask for it prepared steamed or pan-fried. It's great value since it is machine made and guessing prepared from frozen. It's more meat than broth in the filling, and the taste and mouthfeel was OK. But I was impressed that it was offered here at all. Would get it pan fried next time. Scallion Pancakes ($6.50) - served last, this was outstanding. Very thin and crispy. Just wish it had been served first so we could all enjoy...most of us were full by the time it came out. We paid at the end through our server. My wife's aunt really liked the 'Chicago Dumpling' t-shirt that our server was wearing, and wanted one for herself. Our server did mention that they do sell it for $30, but were out of them at the moment. We were given take-home containers to self-pack, and was warmly thanked by everyone before we left. Good value food in a comfortable setting with excellent service: that's what I will remember about Chicago Dumpling.

Well, what they actually meant was they would make the pork and shrimp without the pork so I got dumplings that were literally 1/3 filled, no leeks just some onion shavings. Most of them had a single tiny shrimp in them, that's all. I'm appalled they would serve us that, probably because it was close to closing and they wouldn't be open to deal with me once I got home and realized what they did. I love dumplings and live close by, I would've been a regular customer, but those cheap mfs lost out on that. If you didn't want to completely fill the dumplings with "seafood" then just refund that part of my order. Simple enough? Beware if you order from here.

This time, although that sign was still up over one menu, the rest of them were not. So, I took a chance and ordered it. I asked for half sugar, because I usually ask for 25%, but I figured with matcha frappe, I might need a little. It turned out good, but I think I expected more of the creme brulee to be present, and that was my mistake. It was mainly a matcha frappe (matcha and ice blended together) with a hint of the creme brulee along the side. By 1/3 of the way down, my mouth was numb from the cold. I probably won't order this one again, at least not in 30 F weather- haha. My partner got the same drink as last time, except this time he ordered a large. He got the brown sugar milk tea; 50% sugar; little ice. Add creme brulee topping. That was delicious, just like last time. The people working here are very sweet. I'm not sure if they are a family, but they seem like it. They work very well as a unit with the young woman at the register, and the elder man and woman making the drinks. The inside is cute. There is one small table and two benched areas with various designs on the walls, and the toy machines toward the back. We are planning to come here more often and try other flavors!
