    Mango Tea
    Steve A.

Got some boba at this cafe in Countryside. I have to disagree about it being like heaven. Boba Heaven has a few locations in the suburbs, with this being a not so good one apparently. Mostly has boba tea and not much else. There's some bites such as crappy waffles and things. Came to get a tea to cool off and that's when it stopped being fun. It was a pretty boring atmosphere, no help from the employees who were over it. The drinks look pretty good in the pictures. It's about $6 for a fruit tea, which is basic. Then add boba for a bit more. Kind of weird chemical taste to it which did not taste like fruit. This one time was enough times for me to come here. Even better just going to one of the big corporate chains. It's at least drinkable and edible. The boba tea is the main thing, which they aren't good at, and there's no food except crappy waffles.

We only had teas. Dude had Thai tea with boba and I had milk tea with no bobs. Service was great because this was our first time here. We got a punch card for when we return. Delicious teas! The ambience is casual and cute.

I was so excited to see a boba place closer to home. We decided to try it out this weekend, and I am happy we did. I ordered one horchata boba and one brown sugar milk tea. Both were very good! I am excited to try more of the menu options, they have so much to choose from. The staff was very kind, and the asthenic was so adorable inside. I will say the wait time was a bit long, but I think that's normal these days. There were 8-10 people ordering which in my opinion is good, I like to see small businesses getting some traffic. There were also only two employees and they were doing the best they could, I can imagine how difficult it is to find staff, so I try and be understanding when there is a longer wait these days. They also gave me a cup holder bag that fit perfectly in my cup holder for the ride home and it made me so happy I didn't have to worry about any potential spills! Overall, good boba especially since I can only usually get my boba fix if I am in the city!

Once again, Great service and drinks! There was one person working to take orders and make the drinks (keep in mind there were 10+ people waiting) - please be patient when coming here- don't leave ugly reviews on how you had to wait- go somewhere else then. Place is decorated nicely. Theres music as well and a space where you can take some pictures.

The people at Boba Heaven were helpful, nice, and very accommodating. Enough for wheelchair accessible. The boba was delicious.

Maybe they should call it Baked Heaven given how slow and apathetic the service was just to get a couple of mediocre boba teas.

With an easy to remember name, Chicago Dumpling in a suburb of Chicago, serves up a variety of…read moreJapanese and Chinese inspired foods, in a fast food type set-up in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Before dropping us off at the airport, my wife's aunt treated us (my wife, her mom, and me) to lunch. I got to choose the place, and the experience ended up being really great. Even though it looks like you are supposed to stand in line to order and pay, the restaurant also supports a typical dine-in experience. It's an open kitchen, with seating on the side. Once we were seated, we were given menus and a tablet to place our order, but our server stayed around to explain that she would be back to help us place the order. She was the only front of house working, and she was friendly and efficient, constantly going back and forth to service to-go order taking and dine-in. The one page menu has two parts: a Chinese part and a Japanese part, and had items that we call could eat. Once we placed our order, the items came out in the following order, after being made to order. Karaage ($6.95) - five pieces of all white meat chicken, freshly deep fried. Everyone liked it, though I wish the coating was crispier. Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.95) - My wife's aunt and I got this. We both agreed the broth should have been served a lot hotter, but it was flavorful. I was especially impressed with the Chashu pork, two thin but generous pieces, nicely crisped first before serving. Edamame ($6.50) - my wife's go-to when at a Japanese restaurant. Chicken Shoyu Ramen ($15.95) - Got one for my wife's mom, and then ordered another for carry-out. One has the choice of thick noodles (classic ramen), or thin, or rice noodles. Pork and Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao ($13.99 for 12 pieces) - one can ask for it prepared steamed or pan-fried. It's great value since it is machine made and guessing prepared from frozen. It's more meat than broth in the filling, and the taste and mouthfeel was OK. But I was impressed that it was offered here at all. Would get it pan fried next time. Scallion Pancakes ($6.50) - served last, this was outstanding. Very thin and crispy. Just wish it had been served first so we could all enjoy...most of us were full by the time it came out. We paid at the end through our server. My wife's aunt really liked the 'Chicago Dumpling' t-shirt that our server was wearing, and wanted one for herself. Our server did mention that they do sell it for $30, but were out of them at the moment. We were given take-home containers to self-pack, and was warmly thanked by everyone before we left. Good value food in a comfortable setting with excellent service: that's what I will remember about Chicago Dumpling.

Ordered carry out. They called to say they were out of pork for the shrimp/pork/leek dumplings and…read morethey would make "seafood" ones. Fine. Well, what they actually meant was they would make the pork and shrimp without the pork so I got dumplings that were literally 1/3 filled, no leeks just some onion shavings. Most of them had a single tiny shrimp in them, that's all. I'm appalled they would serve us that, probably because it was close to closing and they wouldn't be open to deal with me once I got home and realized what they did. I love dumplings and live close by, I would've been a regular customer, but those cheap mfs lost out on that. If you didn't want to completely fill the dumplings with "seafood" then just refund that part of my order. Simple enough? Beware if you order from here.
