Another W for the western 'burbs. First D Cuisine opens in Westmont, and now a Kung Fu Tea?! Been going to Kung Fu Tea in Chicago's Chinatown for years, but now having a location out here... I'm all for it. It's a boba shop chain, but at least in the US locations you can expect consistency and quality tea based drinks. I personally am a fan of their milk teas (50% sugar, less ice, and with boba is the way). They do offer a variety of other drinks as well (fruit slushes, yogurts, coffee) and a wider range of toppings other than boba (pudding, red bean, jelly, etc.). Anyways, if you're looking for boba in the area, look no further! Welcome to the neighborhood Kung Fu Tea! 'Til next time, cheers!

FINALLY!!! A boba tea worth going to in the western suburbs. Bonus that I don't have to drive to Chinatown anymore. This is a brand new place and it was their grand opening weekend with specials. I was greeted with a smile by James. Had a few questions about the menu and he thoroughly explained how they prepare their boba. Even gave me samples of the lychee jelly and a pineapple coconut jelly so I could taste the difference in texture. Also, there are dairy free options! My order was Cocoa cream wow and winter melon tea. I opted for one less scoop of the brown sugar mixture so it wasn't too sweet. First sip of the slow cooked brown sugar boba was delicious. The taste reminds me of a very light cereal milk. Odd, but yummy. The winter melon was refreshing and fruity. I got the pineapple coconut jelly and it pairs well together. Almost like a summer vacation in a cup. The staff was cordial and warm. As I sit here writing my review I can over hear them diligently working, laughing and joking with each other. I can't wait to come back and try other drinks. Thanks James and staff!!

I was excited to see this Kung Fu Tea location on our drive through Hinsdale! KFT is one of my favorite boba shops because of their consistency and variety of options. This location seems to be relatively new. The inside is super clean and nicely decorated with lots of seating. There's a machine for self ordering and they had a lot of new drinks out. The machine makes it easy to customize your drink - sugar and ice level. They even added a new option to get the drink hot! The staff were friendly and fast! Highly recommend stopping by this location!

Such a great addition to the neighborhood. This place is cute, modern, and clean. The staff is super friendly! They have a huge menu. They even have lactose free options! And you're able to customize the sugar and ice in your drink which is great. The milk tea I got was delicious. Will definitely be back

I've been here a few times and always had a great experience. You can order either at a touchscreen kiosk or with an employee. The space is clean and nice, and service is very fast. The drinks always come out consistently and tasty. It's a great place for either a quick stop or to sit and chat with a friend (there are some tables and also bathrooms in the back).

BOGO: Part of the grand opening promotion! Mango green tea and cocoa cream original.

Such an inviting place when you walk in. James took our order. He was super helpful in describing drinks to us. I went with the BOGO grand opening promo. The drinks are phenomenal. You can customize how sweet you want you drink, the amount of ice, or even adding or taking out bobas and jellies. For all the non dairy drinkers... they use lactaid milk! I was ecstatic when I saw that. It's a nice place to meet a friend and catch up over some delicious boba tea. So happy to finally have a boba tea close to home!

Delicious! Loved this place, super cute. The people here were very friendly and my drink was amazing! If you love chocolate get the cocoa lava slush. It's FANTASTIC!

Even though it was busy on a Friday night, our table felt secluded and no one rushed us. It's hidden away in one of the enormous malls in the western suburbs of Chicago. Parking can be stressful on a weekend.

Is it a bakery? Is it a restaurant? Is it a coffee bar? Yes. Beatrix is all of them at once, and…read moresomehow none of them feel like an afterthought. We went last Saturday morning and it was standing room only with a line to the coffee bar, then we loved it enough to come back for breakfast the next day. That should tell you most of what you need to know. The lemon burst cookie is the reason to walk in the door and a reason to come back. Delectable, plenty of lemon, plenty of tart, and it goes down dangerously fast. We ordered it twice across two visits and would have gone for a third. The lavender honey latte was very good, just the right amount of lavender, not too sweet. The regular coffee was solid, and they let me do a half-and-half decaf without blinking. Sunday breakfast was straightforward, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, a Virgin Bloody Mary, and all of it was well executed. The menu is ample enough that you could come back several times and not repeat yourself. The decor is modern chic, the seating has a relaxed couch-and-lounge feel, and the music including Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Van Halen, etc, was the kind of 80s pop-rock playlist that makes a Saturday morning feel like it has a soundtrack. Not too loud, just right. The restrooms were really nice and accessible. The crowd was a genuine mix, families with kids, older couples, and young "elite", the kind of clientele that parks Maseratis and Ferraris out front but doesn't need the prices to match, because they don't. The menu is moderate for Oak Brook, which is a pleasant surprise. Wait staff were excellent, friendly, accommodating, attentive. This works for a casual coffee run, a family breakfast, or a special occasion with reservations. If Beatrix were a TV character, it would be Lorelai Gilmore, fast, charming, effortlessly good at three things at once, we get it Lorelai, you're over caffeinated. 4.4 Stars The honest gripe: we felt a little rushed. Breakfast came and went in forty minutes, the waitress was ready to move us on in 30 minutes, but we pumped the brakes and asked for our second lemon burst cookie of the weekend, and it would've been nice to get the signal that we could linger. My sense is they're popular enough that turning tables is the priority, and I get it, Lorelai has a business to run, but it's the one thing that kept a great morning from being a perfect one. What would push it to five stars: let us sit with our coffee a little longer. We came back two days in a row, we clearly want to be here. Just let us stay.

The girl who took our order and made our bowl was very friendly and did a great job with our bowl. The price point seems a tad high for what the actual product is, but it was delicious! I actually split one small bowl three ways and it was plenty for the three of us.
