I used to love coming to this place for my wax ... until they decided to change all the experienced waxers and bring new ones. Their system is not even updated so don't waste your time making an appointment online. Even the front desk attention has gone down in quality ... it seems like nobody knows what they are doing. Sadly, I will be taking my business somewhere else. What a shame! read more

Okay waxing experience, front desk receptionist was very unhelpful and did not want to give first time deal found on their website. Very disappointed in their customer service as well as the wax itself. read more

I just finished my service at this location today and I have to say that the receptionist as to go!!!! As a business owner myself I have to say that the person whom you put face the customers is the most important to your business. The receptionist is rude!!! I got there 11 minutes late and I when I gave her my name to check in she mumble under her breath that I was late, I asked her what she had said and she said just have a seat. When the services where completed with Cecilia whom I didn't know her name because usually Anita is who takes care me I asked the receptionist where could I leave the tip for Cecilia she said in the box when I asked the receptionist what was waxer's name to put the money inside the envelope the receptionist replied that the waxes was the only one working today. I replied that as the customer I didn't who was who and that I understood that today was Sunday but if she didn't like her job to find another one. The receptionist has to go!!!! Her vibes, energy and attitude are straight up negative!!! read more

5 stars for the following: it is very easy to make an appointment and if you are a first timer, Anita is the best at waxing, especially if you are a rookie at waxing! read more

Katherine will be the only person to touch my eyebrows until the day I leave this city. She does an amazing job, and is always quick. You're in and out in 10 min. Book online to earn points, which could take a dollar or two off the service. It's a bit expensive ($17) but worth it. read more

This is the best waxing salon I have ever been to! I always see Katherine and she is excellent! I would not change a thing. Katherine is very professional at what she does and the service is def. 5 star! I plan to stay with them for a long, long time! read more

Disgusted! I normally go to the one in London Square on 120th. This location is a lot closer to my home and job so I gave it a try. I will not be returning and I do not recommend you go if you care about your hygiene. The customer service is not the best but I can get over that, what I can not get over is the lack of sanitation! Seriously I had a bikini wax and the lady used the same stick through out my entire wax, front and back. I thought ok maybe it's just her, I will not get waxed by her ever again. But then when the wax got cold she went and traded the pot for another one and continued using the same stick. When she removed the strips she placed them on the counter where she had the "clean" sticks she dips in the pot. This means that fluids, blood, and/or other bacteria just swims around in the waxing pots and they use that on their clients. It's just disgusting and wrong. They need to close this place until the employees learn some hygiene and sanitation procedures. Do your self a favor and DO NOT go to this place. I will be making the drive to my previous location for all future waxes! read more

I found a gem in Katherine! She is so professional and kind! I look forward to seeing her for my appointments. It's easy to make appointments online and the staff is always courteous. This location is always clean and I've never had to wait for my appointment time. Absolutely recommend this location to anyone near Pinecrest! Please be sure to ask for Katherine! read more

Normally I go to Uni K Wax in Doral and have a good experience, I've never had anything to complain about. The reason why I give this specific Uni K Wax a 1/5 is because I just got a wax now and it was a messy process from beginning to end. I called around 12 to make an appt and they said to just show up, didn't ask my name. I get there and the front desk told me there were no opening but Maddie, the wax specialist, was sitting in the lobby and the front desk asked her to do the wax. She walked me to the room and IT WAS A MESS. So disgusting! The paper was crumbled up, the table was full of powder and old wax, and the floor was covered in wax too. She did a quick cleanup of the table then rolled out a new sheet for me. Now the wax was something else entirely. When I say she waxed me in less than 5 minutes, I swear it was the FASTEST wax ever. Now, fast does not mean good because I've had fast waxes and it was done swift and clean. But hers was messy. I had wax alllll over me by the end of it, and I was bleeding which has not happened to me since the first time I've gotten a wax over 2 years ago. After the wax I went to go pay and the lady at the front desk still didn't know my name and that's when she finally bothered to ask for my information. Seriously sloppy experience. I'm not gonna get waxed in this location ever again. read more

Made an appointment online. Was greeted very nicely. They had me fill out paperwork to ensure I didn't have any allergies (definitely a huge thumbs up). When I got into the room Cecelia made me feel very comfortable. She left the room while I undressed. I informed her that this was my first Brazilian wax. She was fast and assured me when it would feel uncomfortable and when it wouldn't. She was very good asked me to inspect before finishing to make sure I was happy. I am very happy. I will be going back for future waxing to this uni k and asking for Cecelia. The wax was almost pain free, except for a few areas. Fast and easy I was in and out in a matter of 15-20 minutes. They are reasonably priced. $40 for a Brazilian wax isn't that bad in my book. It's also been a few hours since I got it and don't have any swelling or redness or discomfort. read more

Katherine is by far the best! So sweet and quick service! She gives great tips on taking care of your skin too :D

I had an appointment here at 5:00 pm for a full bikini wax with some girl named Kat. I got there at 5:01 and they made me wait half an hour and put me with some other girl who's name I don't remember. Wasn't a huge deal to me as it was my first time there anyway. All I can say about my waxer is that she was some sort of sadist. She claimed it was disappointing that there was no screaming/crying on my end. Between not honoring my appointment and the highly uncomfortable, unprofessional waxing experience, I don't think I'll be back to this particular center. Luckily, I know this isn't representative of Unik as a franchise, I'll just take my business to another center next time. Also, as an aside, it is cash only for tip, you cannot add tip if you pay with a credit card. read more

I've been here a few times and have been pretty frustrated after I've left each time. Some of the girls are really nice but the last 2 times I've been there the person acted like I was seriously bothering them. I can get over a bad attitude, but they just did a bad job! The last time I was there, the girl left patches of hair and my eyebrows didn't match. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until after I left and they were closed. They're pretty cheap, so if you're in a rush and need your eyebrows done then go for it but I definitely wouldn't recommend letting any of them wax below the belt! read more

I love Katherine!! She is amazing and I trust her. She is professional and so sweet. It was a little nerve racking doing this for the first time but she made me feel so comfortable. Thank you Katherine!!! read more

I've had good experiences but I'm not giving 5 stars because when I did my eyebrows there, the waxer made them so thin, I could've outlined them with a sharpie. I've had underarms and legs done - the wax is pretty cool, there's no paper needed. The services are a bit overpriced - it is Pinecrest. All in all, I'll be coming here again! read more

I have been going to Unikwax for 11 years and the only person that has EVER touched my eyebrows has been Katherine. She is the BEST! She's not your typical wax lady at all. She's very friendly and does her job extremely well. She will always make time for anyone, even if she has to stay longer at work. She's just amazing and I recommend her to anyone that wants top notch service. read more

Through Yelp, I was able to find this Uni K. Wax location and the perfect technician when I was in the area and in serious need of an eyebrow shape. Katherine did an amazing job and I would definitely drive out of my way to visit this location to see her. read more

This is by far the best Uni K Wax center I have been to yet. They are very friendly, the owners are always there greeting and interacting with the clients. My favorite wax technician is Lissette. If you go I highly recommend waxing with her! I have been a client of Uni K since before they franchised and have followed Lissette from when she worked at the Sunset location....this location is much better than Sunset as there is no wait there.... the only reason they didnt get 5 stars from me is due to the prices ( a bit on the high end). read more

There is only one woman on this planet that I trust with waxing my eyebrows and her name is Katherine. I will wait weeks and even months without touching my eyebrows since I live out of town before going to anyone else. Katherine is the wax queen and especially talented at shaping eyebrows. I have brought in many of my friends and they all agree that she is the best at what she does. I highly recommend visiting Katherine for all of your waxing needs. She is quick, accommodating, and makes each visit enjoyable with her bubbly personality :) read more

I have no complaints! This uni k is very clean and nice. I never have a problem making an appointment whether it's with time or last minute they attend me. Service was quick and flawless. If you want a perfectionist ask for MJ, she knows her craft. MJ was detailed and made the whole experience so relaxing and pain free. Thanks MJ & see you soon. read more

I am not new to brazilian waxing but i am new to Uni K Wax. I stepped into the store while shopping a L'Atelier and was very impressed with the cleanliness and Zen atmosphere. Today was my first experience. I was reminded of my appt early in the morning by the receptionist Sophia. Came a bit early to my 10am appt, filled out a form, and waited about 5 minutes to get acquainted with Cecilia, my new and favorite waxing lady :)))) She was very fast and honestly made it almost painless. Like I said it was not my first time doing a Brazilian so I knew what to expect. The procedure is never painless, but the more you do it, the less pain you feel. Cecilia was very professional and very quick. Will definitely return and ask for her again. read more

I was visiting Miami and got a very last minute appointment, which was nice. Mariel was great - quick, exact and chatty enough to distract me but not annoy me. The price is low, the wax they use was great - it didn't irritate my skin at all. I wish I could move this business to New Orleans! read more

I've been meaning to give a review for some time... I hadn't waxed in years due to a bad experience. BUT, since I was going on a cruise last summer I wanted to make sure I was ready! Soooo I used Yelp to find any wax location that raved about an employee who was amazing. I didn't want to be disappointed, especially with the money you have to shell out to basically be tortured willingly! I came across UniK Pinecrest and of course Katherine. Let me just say SHE IS THE BEST! All the reviews don't do her justice! She's quick, professional, and just awesome! I feel bad for the other girls at this location because every time I'm there mostly everyone is waiting for Katherine. My recommendation is to make an appointment to ensure you get Katherine! She is the BEST! :) read more

The services that I receive are impeccable with MJ. Please always get your services done by MJ! She really is the best, and makes you feel amazing from the moment she greets you. She has a special gift and it shows in her work. She is passionate about the services that she provides and makes me fill amazingly beautiful even when I have had a bad day. It was heaven sent when I just picked her name to book an appointment. I have been going to her for about 6 months. The day before my wedding, MJ made sure that I was beautiful from the inside out. She has been such a blessing to me and I am truly thankful for her services. She goes the extra mile to assure you that everything will be fine and go over the process with you if you have never done a certain service before. You must book with MJ! read more

If you go here you HAVE to request MJ! She truly makes any wax as painless as possible and always takes care of you. I wouldn't go anywhere else!! read more

I Had a really Bad experience. To Begin with very Dirty atmosphere. Wax warmer was old, for the prices they are charging machinery should not be broken and old. Very unappealing, melted wax was all over the table. It looked disgusting. Second of all the aestheticism double dipped which is a huge health and safety risk. read more

I have visited multiple Uni K Wax centers and this one is my absolute favorite, but only because of Ana. I have tried multiple technicians and she is the absolute best. She is always in a pleasant mood and I truly enjoy catching up with her. The service always seems to go by very quickly when she is handling it. She is kind, patient, attentive, and makes the process as painless as possible (not completely painless because well, you're still getting your hair ripped out!) read more

Just did a Brazilian Wax for the first time and going in I was really nervous. Uni K made it a great experience for me. The woman who attended me, Katherine, was an absolute joy. She made it as painless as possible and did an amazing job. They use green wax which is also safer for hair removal. A friend recommended this Uni K to me and I recommended it to the rest of my friends. read more

This location is horrible. I've been here a couple of times and every time I come in it's an issue. I don't mind waiting, but the first time I waited almost thirty minutes when there was only one young girl waiting with me. Her mom came in and mentioned she'd been waiting 40 minutes and shed even made an appointment. Today for New Year's Eve I went to get my nails done at the salon next door, and after walking by to check the closing times to wax,(which were posted like normal,) came in after my nail appointment. They told me they'd closed and that they couldn't fit me in. She asked the girl in the back, and assuming I couldn't understand Spanish, she said she just didn't want to. The girl said she couldn't DO a lip and eyebrow wax. I'd even offered to pay more. They closed 2 hours earlier and she said times were emailed and posted online- but not on the door??? Okay. Both girls were rude- one of which was there last time and who I remember as being rude before as well. I'm never coming back to this location. There is always an issue and they're not even nice about it. If they wanted to leave so bad they shouldn't work there, especially when I offered to pay extra. read more

At first, I was a little skeptical about having a Brazilian wax done, but it was so easy and painfree with Katherine. She did a fantastic job. I didn't feel any pain with her and I was completely hair free. Katherine, is truly a professional . I would recommend her even to my own mother. The facility has great parking and the staff was very awesome. read more

This is the only place I go to for waxing services. I have been waxing with Katherine for over 15 years. She is the best! The center is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and it is in a great location, plus kid-friendly! I've never had an issue getting an appointment and I've also had walk-in services. I love Uni-K Wax Pinecrest! read more

I just went here today for the first time and had "Mary". I had scheduled a full bikini wax as well as underarms. My first impression was as I walked back to use the restroom before my appointment that Mary was asleep (!!!) in the break room. After I filled out the paperwork, she took me back to the room, left me there, and closed the door without saying anything. I was so confused. She came back, asked me to lay down and lift my arm, powdered my underarm and put very HOT wax directly onto my underarm. She then turned around and looked at herself in the mirror while it was cooling down (?). It was very strange, to say the least. She continued to put the very hot wax on and when she would pull away the stringy stuff would trail all over my chest and dress, even my face. All she did was turn around and look at herself in the mirror again. When she used the tweezers to pick up any missed hairs, she continually pinched my underarm skin. Needless to say, I told her I would not be having my bikini wax there and that I was done after the underarms. All in all, the entire situation was SO uncomfortable, I do not recommend. read more
