Left high and dry! Zero consideration for my time. I booked a confirmed appointment around a tight schedule before an event, selecting a clearly available slot. Twenty minutes before my appointment, I was texted to come in 15 minutes later because they took a walk-in--knowing I was scheduled. The delay would have made me late, and no one called to ask if an adjustment would work. I was effectively dropped for a walk-in and couldn't get my blowout right before my event!! When I raised concerns, I was eventually offered a rushed 45-minute service even though my blowouts take an hour. Only after further pushback did they say I could come in at my original time, despite already tending to someone else--meaning split service and a situation that wouldn't be fair to anyone. I did my hair with Ray, she is so sweet and does the job fast (in a good way). It was a bit annoying that I made my appointment at 9 am and she didn't get there until 9:30 am (because there was traffic). I get it, but I got here on time, and so should your stylist. Anyways, at first I did not like how my hair came out, so I told her to do a toner. She did everything possible for me to like my hair. She curled my hair at some parts so that I could see I ended at the end very happy. I ended up paying $250 (including tip) but I was charged for the curls, even though I did not get a proper blow dry or curls. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and attentive. Worst hair experience ever. Jackson was too rough beyond explanation. He pulled and roughed up my hair in the bowl, making it knotted and tangled. He yanked on it for a brutal comb out. I cannot understand why....I repeatedly asked why? I told him it was too rough. He giggled and said people love this. He was so rough that he nearly pulled out my earrings. The post of my earring cut his hand, and it was bleeding. Worst of all, he rotated in 4 other customers and my appointment was nearly 4 1/2 hours. NEVER AGAIN. I can't express enough how grateful I am for this place! A year and a half ago, i had a dye job go wrong at another place. The bleach burned off certain areas of my hair and made my hair very gummy. Too embarrassed to see anyone to fix it, I just let it grow out until I could chop off the dead fried hair. HANIC comes in and saves the day! Most importantly, Alexis saves my hair! My hair was so bad that I knew I had to cut a lot off and short hair scared me but Alexis assured me I was in great hands. So I trusted the process and OMG I'm so grateful and thankful for her! I have been to Hanic Salon many times to receive eyebrow tinting with Eda and she did very well. As I trusted her decided to do micro blading. I had my first session in October 2021 for a cost of $600 and return for my touch up 1 month later for $200. When I came back for my touch up I told Eda that it was not looking micro blading but it looked like micro shading. As the appearance was eye shadow like instead of seeing each individual hair. The tool used for the procedure was a cordless/ battery operated tool not very sophisticated. At the end of the session the result still looked like micro-shading. She said it should last one year.One month later the tinting/tattooing is completely gone and didn't use any abrasif soap on it. I called the salon and explain to Dominic/ the receptionist my concern of spending $800 and the result is gone one month later!! She said that she will tell Hanic the owner and will call me back. 4 weeks passed and never received a call back! I do not recommend this place. read more

Hanic truly is a little gem of a place with such an attentive, professional, and kind staff. I used to live in the area when I began going to Krupa to thread my eyebrows. I have naturally thick eyebrows and had a few awful experiences at other places when they left them pencil thin. Went into Hanic the first time praying for at least a decent outcome and to my surprise I left ecstatic. Krupa exceeded my expectations, she's extremely precise and knows exactly what she's doing. About a year ago I moved a little over an hour away and still continue to go her planning a Saturday around my eyebrow appointment, because there is truly no one else I trust. After many internal battles in the past few months, I gave in and decided to do the microblading with her. I honestly didn't expect much due to my brows already being pretty thick, except for maybe being a little bit more full. I was wrong, again she managed to exceed my expectations. I am so incredibly happy with the outcome, my only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. I keep starring at my brows in awe that they look this good. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient throughout the process, also in explaining step by step how it's done and the aftercare. Highly recommend them read more

I came late on a Friday, The said I had time for a consul. I said Okay, They introduced me to Jakson. I immediately knew before I met him I was going to have my hair done. This man is so kind and has spent time in many countries visiting and taking a class with a top hair stylist/colorist in each place. I hate to trash Miami, well that is not true. I am doing it right now. They don't set the Bar vey high, is the best way to put it. Finding a skilled artist in a hairdresser is impossible. Unless you get lucky and they give u their best and they never have him/her available again. Back to Jakson, he had another client and he did my roots, color , glaze and toner, shampoo/massage,style. We were there for 4 hours. The Sweet hostess got me a quick meal and a drink, as I had a nice chat with his other client. I never felt I was waiting, his assistant added some foils in the back as he instructed. Obviously, The hostess, Jakson and I closed the place. She still took time to show me the spa area. I went to Hanic for a refill of eyelash extensions. The girl I usually go to was booked solid this week. I decided going to Hanic because it looked pretty legit and close to my home. The locale is beautiful, very relaxing. The girl that did the extensions did a good job,although not as thorough as I am used to. They use the cheaper versions of glues, the ones that can't get wet for a minimum of 48 hours, and once dry felt like gunk on my eyes. The "silk" extensions they used were heavy on my lids and started falling out in great numbers by day three. It has been five days and they have all fallen out. They charged me around $80, which is not cheap considering they are using the lesser quality glues. I can only speak for the eyelash extension service that I went in for. I must agree with Christianne. My experience at this salon was less than amazing!! I have using Xtreme lashes for over three years now so I know the quality of their lashes and the glue that should be used with them. The glue that this salon is using is NOT the recommend glue from Xtreme, how I know is that over 50% of the lashes that were applied that night started to fall off. I follow the bond time precisely and usually wait up to 72 hours to wet them. I contacted the Hanic Salon the next day and the owners brother said they were booked that whole week; the earliest he could fit me in was the following Monday. That Monday the same stylist applied new lashes and dis confirm that more than 50% by this point had fallen off. The salon was less than accommodating and requested that I pay the full price of my $80.00 service again!!! How dare they!! I refused so then the owners brothers said he would do me a favor and charge me $40.00 for the labor!! LOL! If the stylist would have known what she was doing and applied them correctly the first time I wouldn't have needed to return. I paid the $40.00 and needless to say will not be returning!! I'm kind of conflicted about this review. This salon offers many services, so I cannot attest to the quality of them all. I went there once and had the eyebrow threading and the half set of lash extensions done. This was my first time having eyebrow threading. It was quick and I was happy with the results. It was a little painful, as it was my first time, but that's expected. I would come here again for this service. On to the lashes. I had been getting my lashes done by a lady in her house for about a year. She advised me to take a break so my lashes could regain strength. Well, that break turned into about a year. I hadn't gotten around to getting my lashes done for several reasons. In that year, I lost this lady's number and decided to look for another salon closer to my house. I was in the South Miami area and started calling places to see if anyone could take me right away. The representative at Hanic who answered the phone was very friendly and accommodating, and stated I could come in a half hour. Give yourself extra time for the parking. There is a tiny lot and a valet, but if you have a nice car, just parallel park on the street meters a few blocks away. The parking spaces here are too close together and I don't park my car in places like that. Anyway, the lady who did my lashes, Geidy, was very friendly and fast. She was able to give me the style of lashes I asked for. I was happy with the results. Fast forward 3 days-half my lashes have fallen off. I look stupid and have to go to work like this. No, I did not wet them. I have not even used moisturizer around my eyes or worn any makeup at all. I know how to care for lashes. What I have noticed is that the individual lashes are really thick. They are much thicker and heavier than the ones I used to get out of a lady's living room for half the price. That's embarrassing. Maybe that contributed to them falling out prematurely. I'm disappointed because really I wanted to like this place, but the longevity of lashes done here is unacceptable. And, just on principle, I refuse to go back to pay them again for a refill. It wouldn't be fair. So good luck to you if you decide to get your lashes done here. I hope you get better results than I did. read more
