This was my second time coming to see Lisa at Hidden Gem, and I had an amazing curly cut experience! I was surprised, but very honored that she remembered me since it had been a while. She helped give me what I was looking for while also taking time to explain what she was doing and why. She also gave recommendations of how I can improve my curly routine at home and kept it super real and honest which I very much appreciate!! Not to mention they had some great music and hospitality at the front desk service as well! read more

Honestly I couldn't be more satisfied by the outcome & experience I had with hidden gem. Not only is there communication between you & the hairstylist but, also in between the hairstylist themselves. They ask each other for their professional advice to make sure they achieve your inspiration hair goals or what they can manage in order to keep the integrity of your hair. Liz was absolutely professional & kind to me & to her coworkers which I loved. They are attentive to you, offer you beverages and care for your comfort. The salon is owned & employed by young beautiful woman which is amazing. You're left at ease knowing these ladies understand & can do modern trends. Like I told them, this is the first time I leave a salon 100% satisfied by everything. Can't thank you guys enough read more

They treat you nice how ever , they don't care about your hair , i asked for a balayage and they did highlights that end up green/damage. They do 2 people at the same time and don't pay attention that your hair is getting damage , I asked them to not leave the bleach for so long and they still left to for more than 3 hrs (she kept saying it's fine) because she was too busy with the other client she was doing , my hair was so fragile like thin rubber that would break from just passing my fingers, had to end up cutting it to my shoulders after I had it down my waist... they responded after I complain was "that's normal for your hair to stay like that ." read more

This salon is so adorable and has the best staff ever! Everyone from the front desk to the hairstylist themselves are phenomenal. I do my hair with Karina and I've only been to her twice but I absolutely love her work and personality. She's very realistic with me and has helped me achieve the perfect blonde after so many years. What I love the most about her is she considers the health of my hair before color and always expresses that to me. Which really is a big deal to me because I don't want to fry my hair trying to achieve a color that's not even attainable. I highly recommend this salon if you're looking for a new stylist because all the girls here do amazing work! read more

Wonderful salon for a great price. I drive almost an hour to go here about every 4-6 months. I've gotten my hair cut with Karina twice now, and it's pin straight and very difficult to cut well. She's clearly an expert and very knowledgeable about my unique hair type/needs. She did a great job layering and shaping my hair. Very happy with my results! read more

I'm not big on haircuts.. this place though? I would stop by anytime! *UPDATE TO MY REVIEW TO RESPOND TO OWNER: Maybe fell out wasn't the correct term, my hair was ripped out at its most fragile state (newly colored & soaking wet). I told you this and I also told your assistant so not sure how "you're taken by surprise." You both shrugged it off and acted like it was no big deal. There was a huge ball of my hair in your sink that you guys took out in front of me. I was going to make an appointment to do something different as I would never do balayage again at your salon and that is when you told me yet again you have raised your prices and I did not move forward booking. I didn't know there was any other way to do balayage so I thought this type of damage was unavoidable . Only after going to several consults at other salons and hearing how damaging your technique is and how badly damaged my hair is did I realize all this could have been avoided . ORIGINAL REVIEW: Pricing has gotten outrageous here. They have raised the price here two times in the last year and I am not talking about a few bucks. It has been raised significantly both times. Getting an appointment is virtually impossible if you want one within a 3 month time span. Did balayage here with Itza and the technique used here ruined my hair and literally half my hair fell out by the time she finished. I was in disbelief as I have been coloring it for years and never had this happen. They tease your hair while applying the color and then while it is soaking wet they rush to comb out all the knots they have created and rip out your hair b/c they are in a hurry. After talking to several other friends and hair stylists I realized this is not the way most other hair stylist do balayage so having half your hair ripped out is something that can be avoided. For $300+ there are many better salons out there. read more

Kassandra is simply amazing! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and not only did she deliver, the curls she made in my hair after blow drying it, lasted 4 more days! read more

I got my hair done by Kassandra and I couldn't be more happy! I had gotten my hair done at Hidden Gem about a year ago while I was visiting Miami and loved it so much that I got it done this time too! I had a very specific look I wanted and Kassandra did it perfectly. She was so kind and walked me through every step of the way. I really enjoyed spending time with her and felt so relaxed. She also is the first hairstylist to take the time to teach me how to properly use purple shampoo (something I have never known how to do). In love with my hair and the price was very reasonable. 10/10 would recommend read more

I was excited to come in to get my hair done for my birthday after DMing my picture idea, knowing that it's never going to come out 100% the same but trusting that I will be listened to. I get things happen - a 45 min wait with initial appointment, forgotten drink, last minute rescheduling by salon (twice), and that's fine. What's not okay to me is Karina & Natalie teamed up on me saying the result was a valid interpretation even though I expressed that I was unhappy since its clearly not what I asked for. I showed the DMs of the requested color but got dismissed anyways. I wish they cared just a little bit more. I'm not going to let this ruin my birthday but I really wish I had a better experience. Mistakes can happen but customer care is a choice. I don't recommend this salon. read more

This salon is amazing! I loved everything about it and will be going here for regular cuts and treatments.

This salon is the best! Ive been doing my hair here since they opened. If you're a loyal customer they do everything possible to accommodate you. I always leave here happy with my hair done or any services. This is the only salon I feel comfortable going to and being totally fine with any stylist doing my hair. They are all so wonderful! My stylist is one of the owners Karina. She's the sweetest and really works with my hair. My hair is very thin and she does tape in extensions installation for me & keeps me blonde. She's the best! Everyone is so nice and Friendly unlike some other salons. Super clean and very cute vibe. 10/10 I recommend all my girls to this salon! read more

Recently moved to Broward county and I still make the drive down to see Karina because I trust no one else with my hair. I haven't been to the salon in a while because every time I go I have such a bad experience. But I had such an enjoyable time being here. Everyone is so friendly and the salon is gorgeous. The salon is a super clean and it definitely made me more comfortable seeing how clean they kept it. I will definitely be coming back more often for that relax feel good experience. ‍ read more

I was a bit nervous trying a new salon for the first time, but the moment I walked in I knew I made the right choice. I decided to do my balayage with Kassandra and i swear to you, she's the besy person to have ever done my hair. I kid you not this lady right here is fucking awesome at what she does. I've been to this location a few times since it first opened a few months ago. I've always left extremely satisfied and loved everything they do. Ive been getting my hair with done Karina, one of the owners, for a couple of years now. Her and her entire staff do amazing work and their customer service is always the best! They have weekly specials for blow outs, masks, etc. The location is in the heart of Kendall and couldn't be more convenient, with plenty of parking! I love coming here and really recommend it to anyone who's looking to get quality work done! read more

I live in Broward but I travel to Hidden Gem because I only trust them with my hair. Kayla took the time to listen to what I wanted and my balayage results came out better than expected. This place is the best! I got a curly cut with Nely and my hair had never seen better! She's so nice and made sure I was happy with my hair. I was really scared that it might have been too short but she still left it long exactly the way I wanted! :) she knows a lot about curly hair so I knew I was in good hands. So I gave them a one star bc I'm not happy of one the girls that left a unprofessional text to my daughter saying she can come back but I won't take care of her she can have somebody else I mean who says that to a 16 year old kid I understand we didn't cancel bc we had an emergency I believe her name is Nate or Nicole but that wasn't the person I was going to have my appointment was originally on Friday then my daughter moved it to Tuesday which I told her to cancel for me which I thought she did but just the fact how she camed across my daughter texting her that that's uncall for we spend a lot of money with them and this is how we get treated! Never again there so ur telling me it's okay for nelly to say what she said to a teenager instead of calling me which you guys have my phone number! It's wrong read more

Where do I even start, everything about this hair salon is amazing, from the front desk to the stylists. The front desk Jocelyn is extremely professional and nice. My stylist Itza and her assistant did a thorough consult where she explained what was achievable and what wasn't. This helped me understand what I was getting and what to expect. The whole process was discussed and I was walked through each step. The final result was absolutely beautiful and it feels so good! I have never been so in love with my hair. I've had my fair share of HORRIBLE experiences at other salons so I went with my expectations pretty low but HIDDEN GEM has surpassed them and gone above and beyond. Will definitely be coming back. All these ladies are AMAZING! read more

Cute salon, not overly busy and crowded. They greet you with mimosas; what could be better. Karina is amazing! Highly recommend.

Okay I never post reviews but.. let me start off by saying I've been to plenty of hair places "top" hair places and I've never been content. I went to Karina previous and she was so patient with my hair and now at Hidden Gem Beauty Bar my experience excelled any other. The customer service is amazing, the prices are reasonable and I LOVE my hair! Karina is a m a z i n g. The other ladies are sweathearts and I insta-stalked most of them and they all know their sh*t when it coomes to hair. K just thought I would give credit where credit is due. read more
