I tried to call and got the voicemail but shortly after received a text from the AI bot. They texted me to gather information about my problem. I received a quote on the issue within 30 minutes of chatting with the bot along with multiple options to speed up the process. I felt like the price was extremely fair after recovering a $900 quote from Apple just prior. However, due to personal financials had to wait a couple weeks. I went back a couple weeks later and reached out through the number and was able to get the part ordered and I was kept up to date the whole time. The problem was fixed same day, I dropped it off in the afternoon and it was done a couple hours later.

This company answered the phone quickly and was very polite. They gave me the price of the RAM sticks. That price was about 10% less then all of the other computer stores I talked to. I was so surprised with their install price... They told me on the phone that if they could get it installed in under (I think) they said 5 minutes it would be free. If it went over that time it would be $39.00. Wait What? I took in my laptop and they work on it in a location you can watch what they are doing. It really appeared like they were trying to get done before 5 minutes. Almost like it was a competition or something. He failed but was not going to charge me. I insisted on paying. He tried so hard to get it done within 5 minutes. It was more like 7 minutes. I gladly paid the $35. It's been a couple of months now and my laptop runs like a chp now. I highly recommend this company. They saved me over $100.00 in parts and service and did a great job doing it.

I have a touchscreen laptop that I've had for three years that I brought in to The Computer Store. A few days ago it made a crazy sound and yesterday it totally stopped turning on telling me that I had a "fan error." I figured since this thing is such a small machine I'll have to send it away to Lenovo to get it repaired and pay a pretty penny. I was at the store for 30 minutes tops. I walked in and waited on two clients that were ahead of me. One more actually walked in while I was being served, as well. So, they are definitely busy. Randy took my touchscreen laptop to the back room with the plan to look up the model number and part that might be necessary to order. He ended up opening it up by taking the screen off and noticing that the brass housing around the fan was bent down a little bit. It turns out that's where I actually pick up the computer and put pressure on the screen. What a mistake! He gently pried the brass housing up so that it wouldn't rub on the fan. HE FIXED IT!!!!!!!! And, HE DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME. The dude fixed my laptop and must've saved me at least $200 and a week's worth of time. Some other unscrupulous businesses may have told me there was a problem and taken money from me. I never would've been any the wiser. They could've held my computer for a few days and charge me $150. This was a very standup thing to do and I think they deserve to earn some more business for helping me. Please see what they can do for you. I will definitely refer people to The Computer Store if I get the chance. Give it a shot. It saved me money and grief!

I had purchased a pair of expensive leather shoes on clearance, and they ended up being way too small in the toe. Sadly, being on clearance, there were no shoes left in the next higher size. But I *loved* these shoes, and had read somewhere about stretching. I then turned to Yelp, and found this gem. I was a bit worried, since stretched shoes cannot be returned, and again, these were a bit pricey. I was not looking forward to the prospect of having to E-Bay messed up shoes, but loved the design of these enough to take a chance. I'm so glad I did! I drove out to North Lawrence, and came upon his shop. It is pleasant just to go there. It reminds me a bit of a tack shop, I guess, which reminds me of my childhood. That aside, it's cute. I went in, and was taken care of right away. If no one is visible, there is a bell on the door you can ring. I explained my predicament, and he seemed clearly well-versed in such issues. He gave me an estimate of about a week turnaround and ~$15 charge. I was so joyous! I'm guessing the turnaround time for my work was short, since it was perhaps an easier, less time-intensive repair. Sure enough, he called a week later and I picked up my shoes, and they fit like a dream! Again, I was joyous. They also looked just fine; I was a bit worried about the effect stretching might have on them, but I noticed no marring of any sort. He was a pleasure to work with, and it sounds like he does all sorts of shoe repair and also other leather good repair and cleaning - check out his website for more info. I may bring some of my ill-fitting belts for help. One thing to be prepared for - when he called with the official price of my work, he asked for cash or check, so it sounds like credit cards may not be an option. *One note to anyone considering stretching, the shoe fit me fine lengthwise heel-toe, the toe was just very small in width. It sounds like changing the length is not so easy, so stretching is moreso for adjusting the width of a shoe. But I'm not the expert, take them here and ask for sure!
